Our Fox correspondent in DC anticipating the debate tomorrow night like none other. I'm on my way Jared after I get off the air and then it gets in popcorn. I'm going to be ready for it. I can't wait myself. Let's go. It's a short drive there to Atlanta, aren't you? Atlanta, what are you talking about? Is that where they're doing this thing? The debate? Yeah. I thought it was in, why did I think it was in Florida somewhere? OK, Atlanta, that's right. Yeah, that's being in the debate at their studios. That's what's so fascinating about this, right? It's in the TV studio. Yes. There's no live audience. Yeah, everybody's going to Atlanta, the political capital of the world for a few hours. [LAUGHTER] I hate Atlanta traffic, so forget it, I'm not going. But we will carry you in mind. You'd have to already be on the road there. I've driven from the north end of the south end of Atlanta once, and I think it took six hours. Oh, easy. And that was Sunday at three o'clock in the morning. I mean, try and do it five on a Friday. Yeah, forget about it, so-- You don't get that motorcade that the former president gets that just get in there real easy? No, but you know what really bothers me about Atlanta traffic? And I guess this is everywhere, too. These people are trying out for the next Fast and Furious movie. And these little cars that are doing 120 in and out, and changing four lanes and 100 feet, they cause wrecks. They're going to get arrested. That's why I don't like driving to Atlanta, because there's more per capita there, I think, than anywhere. How is it in the bell weight? People doing it there? Well, the issue in DC is not so much-- you can't drive real fast, because I don't know if you've been the DC. It's just a series of traffic circles, and nobody really knows what to do in them. So it's an awful lot of fitting and waiting, like, should I go? Do I not go? Is it my turn? Who goes? You're talking about the roundabouts? A few years ago, a few years ago, my family, we traveled to Iceland, and I rented a car and they were warning me, hey, we have a lot of traffic circles here in Atlanta. I've got to be fine. Don't worry about the traffic. So cool. Nice to see you. Sure, sure. I've already handled the worst in the world, so child play. All right, your thoughts tomorrow night? I'm excited. I think it will be interesting to see-- I mean, listen, this is the first time that the two of them have been, I assume, in the same room together since the last presidential debate, right? And so what is that like? How much of this is kind of personality-driven? How much are they trying to kind of go the other one in the making mistakes? I am interested to see, certainly, you know, one of the concerns for the Biden camp has been a concern for a lot of presidents in their first debates is that they're usually not real sharp. There's a lot of rush there. What's the rush factor like for Trump, right? He's not done one of these debates since the last time that he debated Biden. I'm really interested to kind of see that dynamic, kind of how sharp both of them are here in an arena like this. And without kind of the things that I think in the past help energize and kind of, you know, pump up the betters, and that's that audience, right, without the audience there, you know, what does that sound like? Right. What does the energy like? What does that feel like? Well, I'm really curious to see how much Biden talks about policies because his rehearsal with this group, you know, former aides and current aides are all about really trying to trigger Donald Trump to come off his game and respond to, you know, the January 6th issue that Biden will bring up or the conviction on the witch hunt trial that Biden will bring up. Trump on the other side of the coin has been working with his staff and crew to really focus on policy. And if he stays in that lane and Biden continues to just try and poke at him and trigger him, I think Trump easily wins this thing because Biden doesn't have much to talk about when it comes to policy. Well, and how much of this is, you know, you, you watch the former president in campaign rallies and stuff, how much of it is forward looking, how much of it is backwards looking that seems to be something that voters do care about, right? If you're, if your primary concern is the economy, is inflation, is the border? How much do you want to hear about some of these court cases or relitigating 2020? You're absolutely right. I mean, right now you look at the top issues that are concerning to the voters on both sides of the fence on what's going forward, the best thing for their families in their home and their economy at number one, and then other issues. I'm not sure so many of the social issues are that important as far as on, you know, scale of one to 10. Where do they land? The bigger issues are the crime. Are the dollars in sense? Why is my family having to go into their 401k? Why are our credit cards so maxed out? Also the world stage and the unrest with the protesting with the Israel situation in Gaza. You know, you've got the war in Ukraine and the concerns about Russia and, you know, I think the global stage will have some impact in the debate tomorrow night too, but I got to tell you, policies right now, America seems to be in a bit of a, I guess, dumpster fire if you will, you know, for a lot of people, no matter what side of the fence you're on. Well, yeah. I mean, I think that's fairing out in the polls. That's why we, you know, we have this category of voters now who seem to maybe be the voters who decide this election and a lot of these swing states, those so-called double haters, right? They don't like Trump. They don't like Biden, but they have indicated that they do intend to vote for somebody. These are the types of moments that I think maybe crystallize the decision for those voters, right? Are they concerned about the president's mental fitness? Are they concerned about the temperament of former president Trump? This is a big stage for both of those to the test. I don't think you're going to change Biden voters mind. I don't think you're going to change Trump voters minds. I think you're right. You hit it in the nail on the head with the independence and the undecideds and those in the middle going, all right, which one tonight presented to me the best future for me and my family? I think that's a big decision maker tomorrow night. All right, buddy. We'll chat soon. Hey, everyone. It is Ryan Seacrest here ready to heat up your summer vacation. Get ready.
