Obituaries for Wednesday, July 17. Joyce Lee McGrath, 79 of Eden, died July 13. She was born in Bronx, New York, attended Coastal Community College, and had a career as a licensed practical nurse. She worked with the Guilford County Health Department in the Immunizations Department, surviving her husband of 59 years, Gary McGrath of the home, son Jeff McGrath of Nebraska, daughter Maggie Barker and Donnie Aviden, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family thanks and core compassionate care, especially Leandra, Tabitha, Kathy, and Neva. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Willis Memorial Baptist Church in Cascade. Karen Beasley, Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation serve city and and core compassionate care of Rockingham County. The family will be receiving visits at the home of Maggie Barker until three on Sunday. Boone in Cook Funeral Home is serving the family. Elizabeth Corum Carter, 89 of Eden, died July 16. graveside services are tomorrow at two at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens with visitation following services. She was born on the Galloway farm in Rockingham County, was a devoted member of Dan River Wesleyan Church and widows for Christ. She spent much of her life working at Burlington Industries and DuPont. She was also owner and operator of Carter's Grocery, surviving children and their families, Daryl Carter and wife Robin of Madison, their son Nathan Carter and wife Lauren and their children Zoe and Ethan, Leanne Holly and husband Henry of Eden and their son, Du Holly and wife Misa and daughter Neva. She was preceded in death by husband Jimmy Carter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to encore a compassionate care. Public viewing for Glenn Aggie Ziegler, 71 of Danville, is tomorrow 1-7 30 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home in Madison. Family will receive friends Friday at 1 30 with services at 2.
