Obituaries for Wednesday, July 10, three announcements from Fair Funeral Home. Services for Heather Marie Barrier are today at two at Osburn Baptist Church where she was a member with burial in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. William Leonard W. L. Pryor, Jr. died July 7, two days before his 81st birthday. Funeral Services are Friday at Happy Home Church in Ruffin at 11. The family will receive friends tomorrow evening, five till seven, with burial at Dan River Church Cemetery in Ruffin. He was born in Danville, graduated from Ruffin High School in 1961, attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received a BS degree in Business Administration. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Eden. He served as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Rockingham County Board of Commissioners, was a member of the Rockingham Community College Board of Trustees and named Director Emeritus of the RCC Foundation. Additional service to Rockingham County, President and Vice President of the Committee of 100 Citizens for Economic Development, Rockingham County Board of Public Health, Interim President of the Partnership for Economic and Tourism Development, Board of Rockingham County Habitat for Humanity, Redesville Chamber of Commerce Human Relations Committee. He was a member of the Redesville, Eden, and Western Rockingham Chambers of Commerce, and served as President of the Eden J.C.'s, surviving our children, Leonard Pryor and wife Kim, Elizabeth Wilson and husband Joseph, and Sarah Pryor and husband, Rob Heiler, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Anken's Pryor Scholarship, a scholarship through the Rockingham Community College Foundation. Serenity Michaela East, 20 of Eden, died July 9. Funeral services are Monday, the 15th at 2. Visitation Sunday, four to six. She was born in Rockingham County and worked as a cleaner at Eastside Home Improvements, surviving our mother, Maddie Carter Brown, brothers, Jeffrey Seals and Sierra, Zachary Pulliam and Sean Stephen East II, and Amanda of Eden, Jacob Timothy East and Maddie of South Dakota, and sister Brittany Pope and Justin of Ridgeway. The family thanks the staff at Encore Compassionate Care, formerly Hospice of Rockingham County. Two announcements from Perry Spencer Funeral Homes, public viewing for Morgana Chantay Strickland, is tomorrow two to seven in Eden. With funeral services in the auditorium at Morehead High School, visitation at 12, services at one, internment in Hamlin Cemetery. Funeral services for George Cersei are Saturday at 12, in Madison, with burial in dry hollow, primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Walnut Cove. The family will receive friends at 1130. Mitchell Ray Odell, Sr. 65 of Eden died June 30. There will be no services. He was born in Eden and worked in construction. Boone and Cook Funeral Home is serving the family. [BLANK_AUDIO]
