Welcome to July 3rd on the National Day Calendar. Today we're satisfying our sweet tooth and celebrating the nutritious staple. National Chocolate Wafer Day is the perfect excuse to indulge in a sweet treat. Chocolate Wafers with their crispy texture and rich chocolatey goodness have been a favorite snack for generations. And here's a delightful fact. The first chocolate wafer cookies were introduced over a century ago by the Vienna-based company Manner in 1898. It's amazing how this simple yet delicious treat has stood the test of time. I don't know how they made it since 1898. I mean I was only born in the 60s. I mean I can understand since then I've kept them in business. But before that, man, how do you like your chocolate wafer? I mean they are a delicious treat. They are. You're not the only one who loved it, Marla. You're probably right, but I'm sure I don't have any for a week or two. They notice it in the bank account. From sweet to savory, it's also National Eat Your Beans Day. Beans are one of the most versatile and nutritious foods packed with protein, fiber, and essential vitamins. Did you know there are over 400 different varieties of beans? From black beans to chickpeas, they're a global staple that could be enjoyed in countless dishes. Whether you prefer them in a hearty chili or a white salad, beans are a fantastic addition to any meal. Beans for breakfast once again. Are they done from again? I've run out of clean. They were bean meal or bean snack. Chili, I just love beans and chili, but I do like a great bean dip. So that can be great too. You have something that I know you love. Yes. Oh my goodness. So there's a restaurant in Vegas that does this bean salad, but it's like green beans chopped up and it's all these other delicious ingredients, but it's so refreshing and it's light, it's delicious. You got to try it. I will buy you lunch. Let's go. That's my guy. I will show you dancing. I'm Marla Anderson. Thank you for joining us on our journey to celebrate every day. Join us on Facebook and Instagram at The Estimation Celebration Show. Until next time, keep celebrating. Wow. Over 400 different kinds of beans. I had no idea. It is also, and I want to miss this, National Fried Clam Day. Quick story. I introduced Annette to fried clams when we were dating. That would have been 73, 74. Howard Johnson's and Greensboro had the best fried clams. So we went there often and we are having clam strips tonight for supper already discussed, already decided, so looking forward to those clam strips and I don't know if we'll have any beans with that or not. I have to think about that. Okay. I know we do have the birthday club for July 3rd and we have three names on the 3rd. Well, that worked out. Happy birthday to Bob Cruise, Mildred Shelton, and Greg Milner. All today, that's Greg Milner, Mildred Shelton, and Bob Cruise. Hope it's a good day for you. Let me know who's celebrating. Get in on our birthday club and our weekly giveaway takes to birthdays to me for July 4th through 31st and all of August. You can text those two, three, three, six, nine, three, two, 18, 81, and we'll take some time off tomorrow back on Friday and then I'll have Thursday and Friday, birthdays, then, well, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Of course, always in the week and our giveaway. So big name birthdays, Tom Cruise, 62, Aaron Tippin, 66, Johnny Lee, 76, Montel Williams, 68. In our music spotlight, I'm celebrating the 4th of July with another song from Stars and Stripes Forever, Grass Roots and Bluegrass Hits. There's a star, a spangled banner waving some waves and that distant land so many miles away. On the uncle's sound, great heroes get to go there. Where I was still, I could also live someday. I'd see you naked, cuz you wash your tongue in Paris. A naden hill and corn can it do? There's a star, a spangled banner waving some waves waving on the land of heroes braving. [Music] In the swore of this mad scheme's of destruction of our country farin' our sweet leopardy of the mad dictator's leaders of corruption. Can't the U.S. use a mountain more like me? God gave me the right to be a free American and for the precious right I'm glad he died. There's a star, a spangled banner waving some waves and is where I want to live when I die. Though I realize I'm crippled, that is true, sir. Please don't judge my courage by my twisted leg. Let me show my uncle some what I can do, sir. Let me help you bring the axes down a thing. If I do some great need, I will be a people. And a hero brave is what I want to be. There's a star, a spangled banner waving some waves. In that heaven there should be a place for me. I'll be playing another song from this album, "Hi Yes" on Friday and I don't think it's politically correct, but we'll worry about that on Friday. Now, today's motivational moment thanks to Livingstone Wealth Management, Raymond James in Madison. Find a moment, just a simple moment, to close your eyes and think of the men and women who protect the freedoms you enjoy. It's a privilege, not a right. Thank you friends for listening. I appreciate that anytime you tune in. Hope you have a wonderful July 4th and, as I said earlier, back on Friday with all of our regular programming. I remind you, as always, be sure to count your blessings. [BLANK_AUDIO]
