Funeral services for Russell Russ Gray Mitchell, 89, are tomorrow at 11 at Spray Baptist Church with Burial at Overlute Cemetery. Visitation at 10, the family will receive friends other times at the home of his daughter on Smith Street in Eden. He was born in Roseborough, served in the United States Army, and was an active member of Spray Baptist Church. He had a bachelor's degree from UNC Chapel Hill, owned Mitchell's discount drugs for 55 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Eden Rotary Club National Community Pharmacist Association and Lifetime Member of the Eden Chamber of Commerce, surviving our children Bill Mitchell and Debbie of Welcome, Stan Mitchell and Lee of Dallas, Texas, Jeanne Nelson and Mike of High Point, Susan Talley of Eden, Leslie Woody of Burlington, and Kim Wright and Tommy of Eden, also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wives and land Mitchell, Shirley Mitchell, and Peggy Mitchell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to encore compassionate care, formerly Hospice of Rockingham County.
