Social Media Day recognizes the impact of social media on global communication. The advent of platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others have revolutionized how we connect, share, and receive information. From personal updates to real-time news, social media has made the world feel a little smaller and a lot more connected. So let's celebrate the digital platforms that keep us engaged and connected. [MUSIC PLAYING] Are you a social media user? I love social media to an extent. But what is it that you don't like about social media? I wish social media was more authentic. Gotcha. But I think social media is an amazing tool, and I think it's super powerful. I agree with that, absolutely. From the connected world of social media, we turn our eyes to the skies for a national media watch day. Mediaers, often called shooting stars, are particles from space that burn up upon entering Earth's atmosphere, creating stunning streaks of light. While media watching can be a year-round activity, some are often provides the best conditions. So let's grab a blanket, find a dark spot, and enjoy the celestial show. [MUSIC PLAYING] I've always wanted to do a media watch. You've never got enough to do that for a few hours? No, I mean, I've seen it on TV, but never really in person. So they're fun to do. You have some great spots around where you live, actually. I just go out in the desert, find a nice, quiet, dark spot, and enjoy some media action. I think I'm going to try it tonight. You should. And this time of year, too, there's a couple of meteor showers that are going on this time of year. So it actually increases the frequency of meteors a lot. It's a great time to go out right now.
