She was born in Edgecombe County, was a U.S. Army veteran retired with the rank of Sergeant First Class and a retired Chief of Police from Nashville, North Carolina. Surviving our wife Carol Leake Rackley of the home, sons Frankie Stowe of Stonewall, Larry Stowe of Eden and Glendon Rackley, Jr. of Nashville, several brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
