Today's podcast is brought to you by the Burna non-lethal pistol. Now more than ever, you need a Burna. To learn more, go to Burna.com/Howie. Better strap yourself in. It's time for the Howie Car Show. President is going to step aside and allow Harris. I would like to see that. Imagine what can be and be unburdened by what has been. Prominent Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff told donors Saturday, quote, "I think if he is our nominee, I think we lose." The clock is ticking loudly. Live from the Matthews Brothers Studios. The problem Biden has is that he has gone out for the last three weeks to try to turn the narrative around. No billionaire should pay a tax aid lower to the teacher, a firefighter, a nurse. Someone working like a belt. You know anyone who works at Batman? I'm awesome at utility belts. This is where the Batman keeps his money, and Casey has to take the bus. Like America's first high-speed rail line, it's going to take you from Las Vegas to Los Angeles in two hours, or 30, guess what? Save millions of times because of pollution. Rum swabs, hacks and moon bats beware. It's Howie Car. 844-542-42. That is the number if you would like to join us. And Limerick Guy points out that another assassin with three names was Mark David Chapman, who killed John Lennon. And it's now been about 24 hours since we heard about that Zoom call on Saturday night. And Omartha is checked. Still, it hasn't been broken. The Democrat party hasn't broken ranks. No one's sent it out. I have a feeling we're going to get that Zoom call of Biden rambling incoherently. Worse than the debate, some of the congressmen are saying. About the same time we get Barack Obama's application to Harvard Law School. Or the fake Indians application for employment at Harvard Law School. All right. So we haven't been able to get through the paywall at the Washington Post to put out that column, that perspective about how the picture must be suppressed that makes Trump look good. But we'll keep working on it. But you can see the Black Rock photograph, the Black Rock story about how they used the shooter in one of their ads in 2022. 844-542-442-844-542-442. Joining us now on the line is Tom Hodgson. He is the former sheriff of Bristol County, Massachusetts. And he's now the chairman of the Trump campaign in Massachusetts. And he is in Milwaukee right now as a delegate. Sheriff Hodgson, thanks for being with us here on The Howie Car Show. Always Howie. I'm happy to be with you. Thank you. So what's going on out in Milwaukee with the Massachusetts delegation and with just things in general? Well, the delegation is really what we're very united. And in fact, this is a historic convention. I mean, I have never seen the level of electricity in this in this audience, the yelling and screaming that came out when President Trump first showed up two nights ago. It was amazing. I told everybody, I talked, I said, you know, we're all going to have to go to some hearing doctor to, you know, get our ears checked because it was so, it was so loud. It's so exciting. And, and you can just feel, you can feel the power in the room when he walked in and everybody said, you know, this is our, this is our guy and, and he showed in the way that everybody reacted. So is a, what, what's going to happen in Massachusetts, Tom Hodgson? I know that I don't think any Republicans carried the state since Ronald Reagan in 1984. What, what are the political pros telling you, just go through the motions or what, what, what is the Trump campaign in Massachusetts going to involve this year? Well, it's, it's very involved. We have five regions. We've got, we've got Senate captains in each region that work with the RTC, the public and town committees, the city committees. And we're very, very organized. And we have, we have the whole structure, operational structure. And I'm, and, and Howie, you know, you, you asked that question about what will happen in Massachusetts. We, we have a real shot at winning Massachusetts this time. And, and I, and I say that because I'm all over the state and I have people walking up and going, you know, I'm going to Democrat all my life. I'm voting for Trump. The college Republicans, I spoke at their convention to tell me, and we felt we were outliers and our families, most of our family members are Democrats. They're all vote for Trump. And, and, and I think that has to do a lot, Howie, with how much everybody has been impacted, right? Democrats and Democrats Republicans have been impacted in their pocketbooks as the gas pumps with regards to national security and the threat that maybe their kids could end up getting drafted if you get into World War 3 based on our, our, the minister standing and national security. And, and the, and the, the, the government that's pouring into our neighborhoods, kicking kids out of community centers and forcing them off the street corners to have to be exposed to the fentanyl that might be pouring in and maybe take them away from their families because they died of fentanyl over this. Yeah, like that poor woman last night who spoke, she was so eloquent. Oh, she was. And she really was moved this crowd. And, but you know, you got, you got Governor Ealy, who, who was on the other side of the border when I was in the processing stations down in, in Mexico, in, in, uh, El Paso. She's on the other side telling the people in Mexico, it's wrong. The U.S. won't let you in. Now, after she's encouraged people to come here, she's turning around as though she had nothing to do with it and say let's try to point the finger to Washington. And, uh, this is what they do. Uh, but the American people can see it. And I think that's why you're going to see Massachusetts and so many other places because people didn't think they were going to do well, do very, very well because it's affecting them, their kids, and ultimately their grandkids, their communities, like I said, this nation. Yeah, and you got a Senate candidate, uh, uh, uh, the fake Indian, uh, the most unpopular, uh, statewide office holder in, uh, in Massachusetts. She's running most likely against John Deaton, who's got, got some money and he's got a story to tell. And, uh, you know, I think there's a lot of dissatisfaction with her as well. Tom Hudson. Oh, there, oh, there, there's no question in how he, um, you want to talk about a poster child for incompetence. That's, that's a Elizabeth Warren. I mean, think about what has she done. And, um, and, and so I think people are going to go out, they're going to vote. We're going to be encouraging them through our campaign. We're going to do a strong get out the vote initiative to get people. And I tell people all the time, listen, once every four years, you have a chance to determine the destiny of this nation. And, and it could take a half hour of your day. Make sure you do that. Make sure that you can say that you're somebody that brought America back, that brought back to the community. It gave us a chance to improve our economy and provide a future for our kids. And I, and I think people are going to speak with Elizabeth Warren as well. You know, we, we, when we have this in competency and governance, we can no longer just complain about it. We have to say, hey, it's my fault, because if I don't go out and vote and put somebody into the place, then ultimately, we're, we're part of the problems. And I think that's what people realize now. Like, I don't want to be the property. Well, I, I have a chance to do something. I have the power to do it. And I need to get out and do it. And so that's what we're pushing. Um, and we're going to be pushing it hard. You've got to, you know, Trump for 47 plan that's going to be put in place. We, we're going to do the Trump talk, which is a, which is a telephone calling initiative. And we're going to have our boots on the ground and we're going to really do everything we can to win Massachusetts. And I think we have a real shot to do it. You know, not only could Elizabeth Warren not get the money for the Cape Cod bridges for all these years, she couldn't even pronounce born. You know, it's, I mean, it really is amazing. I mean, this is a woman who thinks that the Massachusetts has a West Coast, you know, from where, from where I grew up, I guess that makes me a surfer boy. Yeah. Well, you know, that's, that's, that's one of her fundamental so pause, but, but she's got so many. Um, and I, and I think that's what people see now. And, uh, they, they, I think the Democrat party is, uh, run out there. Welcome. And I think people realize that they've, they've been lying to us about Biden. Uh, they, they all march in lockstep, not for us, because there was no benefit for the American people to lie to us and tell us, Oh, he's perfectly fine. The border secure. There was no benefit to us. It was, it was inflation. You never had it so good bow. How about, how about this statement? The Trump campaign just had a, uh, had a response to the vice presidential debates. This is hilarious, Tom. I don't know if you've seen this. This is from Brian Hughes, Trump campaign senior advisor, quote, we don't know who the Democrat nominee for vice president is going to be. So we can't lock in a date before their convention to do so would be unfair to Gavin Newsom, JB Pritzker, Drake Gretchen Whitmer, or, or whoever Kamala Harris picks as her running mate. Yeah. They're so confused and they're, they're confused because they've never had a thought, you know, a thought process in a platform that was really just focused on what they were put there for. It's always been around their politics and now their politics have failed, the people have figured them out and now they don't know where to go. They don't have, they don't have the answers that desperate to try to find things or confuse. And you know what? I think the American people, like I said, see that. And it's, it's now our time in history to take this country back. And I think we're absolutely poised to do it. You know, another thing that's going to hurt Biden in Massachusetts is unlike the state of North Carolina, for instance, I don't know if it's going to succeed the state of Georgia. I don't know if it's going to succeed, but they're trying to knock, uh, you know, Bobby Kennedy, Cornell West off the ballot. That's not going to happen in Massachusetts. All those guys are going to be on the ballot up here, you know, and that's going to take, that's going to drain a lot of votes away from Biden. Absolutely, absolutely. And as it should. And, and I mean, look at what they did to Robert Kennedy around having secret service protection. I mean, you know, there's those stoops and notes at any level to try to, to try to win, even if it, even if it has nothing to do with, you know, competing honestly, right. And, and that's how they are. And so people figured it out. They want, I think they want their government back. And, and they could see the injustices that have happened throughout just about every facet of our society. Well, we wouldn't play in Biden cuts all day. He's been so non-compass Memphis. And now news has just broken that he's tested positive for COVID and has canceled his speeches. Gee, what a coincidence, huh? Surprise, surprise, surprise. And, and how he isn't that what we just talked about? Isn't that, isn't that exactly what we were just saying? You know, they will stoop to anything to try to avoid facing the people and being accountable for what they haven't. Right. Exactly. Exactly. And then they try to, they try to put him out and it was a total disaster. So now he's going to be, he's going to be, you know, why incapable of doing any indisposed, I guess is the word, indisposed for the next week or so. I think, I think that the people in Massachusetts and across the country now, look, they're very familiar with the Wizard of Oz. They're tired of the, the, the keynote attention was going on behind the curtain attitude that these people have. And for them to continue to look up in the eye and say, oh, you know, this is really what's going on. When we know better than that, I think most of us are fed up with them saying, you know, you don't have any respect for you. You don't think they're fools and you don't get it. And we're just going to tell you what we think and you'll, you'll just go along and believe them. Well, that's, that's those days that wrote and the people of Massachusetts across the country are wise to it and they're going to start putting people in government that are going to take care of. How bad is security out there? How about out of the lines? I remember 2016, it was pretty, pretty tough to deal with. I'm, I'm assuming it's a lot worse now. Yeah, no, they're actually not how we believe or not, it's not a phenomenal job to get security at the idea. We get in pretty, pretty quickly. There's a number of different interest points and, and we've had very little protests. They, they were expecting like 10,000 protesters. And we, I've only seen maybe a handful and they were outside only one of the entryways, entry points, that's not a scare permit. And so, but it's, it's, it's very well done. There's not no delays. You don't hear about people complaining about anything. It's really well thought out and well organized. I think the hippies are getting ready for Chicago. They're all, they're all dreaming of following in their grandfather's footsteps like the yippies in Chicago. All right, Tom Hodgson, good to talk to you. You look good in the picture in the Herald, by the way. You look like you've lost a little way feeling good. You feeling good? Yeah, I'm feeling great. I'm feeling great. How could you not? I'm here at the National Convention to get ready to work with all the people here to elect Donald Trump and the people of this nation. You can get me better in this more time. And I don't know how you couldn't feel good. All right, great. Thank you. That's Tom Hodgson, the former sheriff of Bristol County. And he's now the chairman of the Trump campaign in, in Massachusetts. By the way, one of our North Carolina listeners says, as of today, RFK juniors back on the ballot in NC. That's good. I hope Cornell West too. I hope that I hope Cornell West and Jill Stein get Secret Service protection too. It's only right, I think. Now, now, now Biden's going to say, I, you know, I know my mind was a little cloudy yet today, but that long COVID. A fully vaccinated booster person is the most protected against COVID. Maybe not. Maybe not. I'm how we are. How we will be right back after this short break. How we car is back. Today's poll question is brought to you by the burn a less lethal pistol launcher. For those who want a powerful self-defense option without resorting to deadly force, visit burn a dot com slash Howie to save 10% b y r n a dot com slash Howie b y r n a dot com slash Howie Matt, what's the poll question? What are the results thus far? Do you believe the media narrative that the 20 year old Trump shooter had zero social media? Yes or no? No, no has 94% of the vote. 94% All right. 844 542 42. Positive for COVID says 978. Do they think the American people are that stupid? The answer is yes. And you know it. That's a rhetorical question 978. They wouldn't have tried it if they if they didn't think we were this stupid. 844 500. I demand to know when Biden's last COVID vaccine was and he's taken the mall since 2020. He's a fully vaccinated booster person as he said, you know, and it was going to be the winter of death if you didn't take a vaccine. But you were totally fine if you took the vaccine. And now he's he's out. He's check he's checking out. He's returning to Delaware to self isolate. Oh boy. 844 500 42 42 919. Biden has been yocking it up all day with people. And now he's retreating to the Delaware basement and not wearing a mask, mind you. Did you see him at the what was he a deli in Nevada last night? He had no idea where he was. The RNC research put it out. I mean, he you know, if you weren't the president of the United States, you'd be a message on your phone for a silver alert. You know, I swear. Monique, you're next with how we car go ahead, Monique. Hey, Howie, so much going on. But this vineyard wind turbine. So I just we need to quickly recapitulate. Wind energy is very, very expensive. Right. And doesn't exist without without doesn't exist without a mandate. It wind turbines offshore wind turbines generate electricity only 48% of the time. And now apparently they can and by the way, there was a deepwater wind five turbine project off of Block Island. There's numerous reports that that they don't stay running. They don't stay turning. A lot of times they're just not turning. They don't stay turning on dry land. I mean, we could tell you that the one at the IBW Hall in Dorchester, you know, they have a an electric generator to make it look good for the for the rooms. You know, it's ridiculous, Monique. I mean, if people want to have these windmills, let them have the windmills in their backyards or something. But don't force them on the rest of us. I'm going to I'm going to go back to the First Amendment. We have freedom of religion, which means freedom from religion. I don't want their religion. Do you? I certainly don't. This is ridiculous. It was okay when it was politics, but now it's religion. This is a cult. It's not a party. It's a cult. The New York Times is not a newspaper. It's a religious tract. I'm Howie Carr. [Music] Live from the Matthews Brothers Studios. My guy in Raleigh says the Democrat-controlled election board in NC has denied Cornell West, claiming fundraising shenanigans. Really, Joe Biden hasn't had the fundraising shenanigans though, of course. So he'll be on the ballot, but he has COVID. He has COVID. A fully vaccinated booster person is the most protected against COVID. May we quote you on that, Mr. President, a fully vaccinated booster person. All right. Get vaccinated. Okay. Okay. See you in a month. Now then, I could have been able to release the Zoom call because it would be, you know, it just would be so uncharitable, so un-Christian to do that to a sick person on his sick bed. All right. 844-542-42. I wanted to talk to somebody else from the Massachusetts delegation. Amy Carnavali is the new chairwoman of the State Republican Party, and she's out in Milwaukee with the crew. Amy, how is it going out there? How has it been a great convention. Massachusetts delegates are fired up to bring Donald Trump back to office and defeat Joe Biden in November. Are you guys having any problems? Who's going to deliver the votes have already been delivered? I was going to say, I remember in 2016 there was a dispute over who was going to deliver it, but that's all taken care of because they handled it on Monday night, right? Absolutely. We've been working in close collaboration with the Trump campaign in Massachusetts under Sheriff Tom Hodgson and Tom delivered the votes on behalf of Massachusetts delegation on Monday. All right. So what's going to be happening? You know, we have a very small number of Republicans in the legislature, and you know, your job is to get more Republicans elected to the House and the Senate on Beacon Hill. How is Trump's strength going to play into trying to get more Republicans elected? You know, Trump's strength combined with Joe Biden's weakness, I think it's going to result in a huge Republican turnout in November. It's really going to help our down ballot candidate when I think we'll have a lot of those hard Democrats staying home, and they're not going to be turning out in the numbers. And on the on the reverse flip side, I think we're going to have more Republicans turning out than ever combined with independent voters who are just fed up with the policies in Massachusetts that are leading to high inflation and of course, the border crisis and immigration. Now, a couple of people have been complaining that I haven't seen anything in the in the in the media about it, but they're saying that the that the election, election clerks are sending out mail-in ballots now, but they're not sending they're not sending out Republican ballots. Is there anything to that or are people just paranoid? Yeah, you know, I don't know. We just heard about this in the last couple of days. So we are planning to look into that to try to get to the bottom of it. You know, there's there's a level of distrust, understandably, about mail-in ballots. It's something as Republicans, you know, frankly, we wish we didn't have, but because Democrat policies put them in place, we have to compete with them. So we are going to look into those allegations and try to get to the bottom of it. Yeah, I mean, if they're going to, you know, if they're sending them out for Democrats, they should be sending them out for Republicans, even though there aren't that many contested races beyond the U.S. Senate. There are a few though. I mean, they should there should be equal equal treatment of both parties. I don't know. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, we have a number of races on state Senate that we're contesting as well as state reps. So we have quite a number of races. I think building on the victory we had in the special election with Peter Durant being elected the state Senate, well, we're planning to add those numbers in November with more state senators and add to our numbers in the state house as well. Yeah, I was at a fundraiser for a Kelly Dunor on Sunday. And there were several candidates for the for the Senate that showed up there. And it would be great to have more than four. Four is better than three, but, you know, seven or eight would be better than four, you know, and same thing with the house. It would just be great if we get some more people. You know, even one edition of one or two state senators who have a strong voice and can try to hold the Democrats accountable. At least they call them on the carpet and bring them bring them out, you know, call them on having both on on bills. So much on Beacon Hill is done behind closed doors. And if you have even the addition of one or two or three or four, then we can call the Democrats to count on their policies. Have as the state Republican committee settled on a candidate to to endorse to take on Flanagan with on the, you know, we're going to need stickers to get on the ballot. And it's September the 3rd. I'm glad you asked. Glad you asked about that. We have. We have a great candidate. I'm not ready to announce it today. So I don't want to get ahead of the, you know, his announcement. But you know, in the coming day or two, we'll have an announcement in that race. Terrific candidate who will get on the ballot. And I predict we'll win that race against Flanagan. Flanagan is this scandal scar Democrat who just just did all kinds of underhanded tricks to get on the ballot to defeat the Republican candidate for an open Senate, an open house seat in the mid Cape area. And it's just it's just outrageous. And they find him. The state has fined him for all of the things that he did in the 2022 campaign. But they waited to announce it until after the filing deadline. So there's so so now a Republican has to jump through hoops and it's only 150 stickers though. So it's but it's doable. Isn't it, Amy? Yeah, we'll get there. You know, but you're right. It's outrageous that that they waited until the night before that to release those charges and the findings of the investigation, which by the way was instigated by one of our state committee women, people down on the Cape instigated that investigation was certainly pleased to see that they did report. But of course, you know, he came a little late and frankly, you know, looking at the charges, you know, we think that that actually should have been referred to the attorney general for further investigation. So there may still be more to come against Flanagan. Yeah, and I think Flanagan after this after the report came out, he had another job and he immediately quit it. You know, I guess he wanted to spend more time with his family, if you know what I mean. So it's pretty bad. And so that's a that's a traditional Republican seat down on the Cape. Okay, Amy, if people want to get involved with the local Republican parties in Massachusetts, where should they go to? If they, you know, a lot of people are energized by this this this convention and and what's happened the last the the last few days. I mean, they're they're excited and, you know, they want to do something. They want to make a difference. Where can they go to find out what's going on with the Republicans in Massachusetts? I agree. You know, we the outreach that we've had in the last couple of days has been unbelievable. And I think people are really fired up being Donald Trump and his strength and resiliency. And so they can go to our website at mass.com get in touch with us. We could put you in touch with your state committee member and try to get involved locally to help more candidates get elected. All right, Amy. So so it's a better you were you were a delegate in 2016, weren't you? I was I was a Trump delegate elected a caucus in 2016 proud Trump delegate. Yeah, there were there were some there were some people in the Massachusetts delegation that year that we're trying to trying to a kneecap Trump, as I recall, weren't there? Yeah, you know, unfortunately that that was a year that the Massachusetts delegation was not united. And we did see a division on the convention floor, which was really a shame because many other delegations were united. And and we did have dissension in the in our delegation that year. Yeah, I wonder who was involved in that. I won't bring that up at this particular point who who was involved. I'll just say three words. Kool-Aid cult. They were trying to stop Trump. Now they're big Trump people because they're looking for work, Amy. You know how it works. All right. Amy Carnavale, thanks for being with us. The chairman of the Republican State Committee, you're doing a great job, Amy. You're getting the party back on its feet after a after a terrible time, a reign of error. E-R-R-O-R a reign of error. Okay, thanks, Amy. Have fun. Have fun in Milwaukee. Thanks so much. How I think you're listeners. Thank you. 844-542-844-542. All these people in the Kool-Aid cult, you know, they were one of a guy, Jim Jones, lions. I think he actually flew out there. He's looking for a job, any job, you know. And he the year after Reagan was shot in '81, he ran as a Democrat in '82. That's what kind of good Republican he is. And his his stooge, Jeff deal, DoorDash deal, you know, who he voted for in 2008 in the Democrat primary, Joe Biden. He's a Joe Biden guy. Now these guys are running around calling everybody else, rhinos, you know, Biden voters, Dukakis supporters, Mondale types, guys who ran as Democrats, guys who vote in Democrat primaries. Now they still want to bring back the Kool-Aid cult. I don't think it's going to work out for them, though. You know, you know what else I don't think? I don't think they're going to get these jobs that they're groveling for and begging for, you know. I don't even think their jobs, you know, open as, you know, getting behind the business side of a broom at the SBA building in Brockford. I don't think those jobs are open for members of the Kool-Aid cult. Just my guess. I don't know. Who am I to say as I sit poolside in Mar-a-Lago, 844-542, neck, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Nick. Howie, especially with the momentum of the assassination attempt that we have, if the Republican Congress doesn't allow Luna, Representative Luna in Florida, to go after with an inherent contempt against Garland again, right, then it will not win, repeat, will not win the Congress this year. 11-12 didn't even show up and four of them voted day. These are men without testicles. Remember men without hats? These are men without testicles. Nick, you're not telling me anything. I don't know. Everybody listening to this show knows what kind of Republicans we have in Congress, or some, a lot of them anyway, not all of them. You know? The problem is they don't have the votes to convict them in the Senate. I'm all for it. I would vote for it. I would have voted for the first resolution to impeach him. I would vote for the second one. I'd vote for a hundred, but it's just not going to be in the cards. That's all. And besides, Nick, the bump from the assassination, now that Joe Biden has come down with this very legitimate case of COVID, he's neutralized it totally. He's going to come out wearing bandages over both his ears. This is going to be the special, deadly ear COVID. I like to take some questions from you people, but I can't understand anything. I can't hear anything anymore. COVID has wrecked my hearing. Now, if you'll excuse me, Hazel is about to begin. I love it when she calls Don Tafoe, Mr. B, and that cute little kid, Bobby Buntrock, age four, four, five hundred, forty-two, forty-two. I'm Howie Carr. Got a great cop story? Email it to policeplotter@howiecarshow.com and listen to police plotter Facts Friday, every Friday at 5.30. Your story could win you a great prize from The Howie Carr Show Store. The Howie Carr Show is back. Eight, four, four, five hundred, forty-two, forty-two. So they just showed a clip on Fox of Biden trying to get up to the the the small staircase on Air Force One. And he said he's he's having serious trouble with that now too. But of course they're going to blame everything on on on COVID, right? 919 Biden said it drop out of medical condition emerged. And by the way, he just said that today or yesterday, right? And now is COVID the beginning of the end. I hope not. I hope not. Joe, I'm saying a prayer for you. Where's my rosary beads? You know, I carry them around because I'm such a devout Catholic, just like Joe picked up to have it from him. You know, if you're a Protestant, you carry a Bible around like that, devout Protestant, Bill Clinton. But you know, I'm of the Roman persuasion. So I just carry the beads with me. Oh, please, please keep Joe healthy to November 3rd. Please, please God. 917, I hope the Malingar in chief recovers soon. Yes, let's let's all have a moment of silence. That's enough. 844, 542, 42. Dennis, you're next with how we go ahead, Dennis. How he does Biden's COVID diagnosis mean that the whole cabinet he met with will be quarantined and unavailable for subpoena. Because something tells me something tells me that Cheetos dossier on on Biden's cognitive decline. It's much thicker than her dossier on Saturday's assassination attempt. Well, he said he said he met with Cheetos publicly, right? Even though it was just in the, you know, the the war room, the situation room.
