If you want to really see something that's said, take a look at what happened. Live from the Matthews Brothers Studio, there's no place in America for this kind of violence. It's sick. We cannot condone this. Trump and his MAGA friends are determined to take away your freedom. I think everyone is underestimating Donald Trump. He is one dangerous man and we need to take him really seriously. Take him out now. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic. And with this kind of inspiration, I will go and take Trump out tonight. I am going out there to take out Donald Trump. I don't respect these MAGA Republicans. But there are a lot of people to do what I call quote, the wet work, unquote. So CIA term. Take a guy out. Because this MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that's existed in American history. They said, well, do you think Trump is responsible for what happened? I said, well, look, I mean, obviously he didn't pull the trigger, but he's certainly been tweeting out the ammunition. Most importantly, and I mean, this is a while in our Trump is a threat to this nation. I mean, obviously he didn't pull the trigger, but he's certainly been tweeting out the ammunition. Rum swabs, hacks and moon bounce beware. It's Howie Carr. My daughter Charlotte is coming up on Thursday for a while to visit. And she said this morning, he said, can you give me the book Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance? Because she was the one who was telling me there was going to be J.D. Vance as the nominee. And again, thank you Charlotte for helping me out. Not that I'm the only one that had the scoop, but we did have it yesterday. So I feel good about that. So I said, I think I got the book and I was remembering it. I was looking around for it and I couldn't find it. And then I realized, I got it in Florida, where I got it. I work at Newsmax when I'm down there and they got these stacks of books. You know, wait, isn't it in any kind of a media company? They deliver all these books and increasingly nobody wants them or they want to just get them delivered PDF so they can just read them. It's easier and it's quicker and it's cheaper for the book companies. So I was going through all the books that are there and most of them are dog books. They're not like my books, really great reads. And I was looking and there was J.D. Vance's book from a few years ago, Hillbilly Elegy, and nobody cared about it. So I grabbed it and I said, maybe I'll read this someday. It was a bestseller and people got good reviews. I've never read it. It's just sitting there. Just sitting there in my condo in Florida. But so I ordered it for Charlotte. So I got to give him a sale. I'm sure it's probably in the top top 100 now for Amazon if you check it out. All right, time now for the chump line. [MUSIC] Come on Hunter, man. Is 10% the greatest you can do? He didn't say that, you know. The New York Times corrected its story just because they heard goodest with their own ears and everybody heard goodest. He said it was good a job. 508 says, in other words, you clip the book. You know, let me tell you. Sometimes they're piles of books. We ended at the Wellesley dump, the recycling facility. You just throw your books in there and you take what you want. That's the way it goes. Yeah, they're promotional books. They're meant to be taken. They're like promotional CDs at a music station. Yeah. I were real well-calling, you know. I like your confidential game show last week, but the prizes were black, black, black, black luster. You know, I mean, we're talking about you should be giving away books. You should be giving away cold cases. Cold cases figured and can't confidential. And the Herald did a nice job putting it in to two pages with all the pictures of everybody. The only problem was they forgot to put a number and they screwed up the very first one out of 31. So of course, that's the only thing people texted me about and tweeted me about, "Hey, you got it all screwed up." No, I didn't screw it up. The Herald screwed it up. But I fixed it. I fixed it on. If you haven't played Canton Confidential yet, you can go to howwecarshow.com and click on the, it's on the front page, Canton Confidential. You can play the whole game all 31. And we'll be getting those books out tomorrow. The winners will be getting their books in the mail tomorrow, so you should have them by the end of the week. Apparently, Mayorkas can't fire the Secret Service director because Brandon says he's always been a big fan of Don Cheetles movie. I didn't even thought about that. DEI didn't earn it. That's Secret Service director Cheetles Epitaph. Don't think you can take him behind the gym? Joe? Yeah. Yeah, he said the idea that there's political violence. There's cut two. Can we have cut two from? There's no place in America for this kind of violence. It's sick. It's sick. It's one of the reasons why we have to unite this country. We cannot allow for this to be happening. We cannot be like this. We cannot condone this. That's why I want to take him out behind the gym, along with all those dog face pony soldiers. And you too, over there, fat. When they learned Jack's misindictment had been tossed out, the woman of the views heads exploded. The set janitor was grateful there wasn't much rain added to coming up. You know, that's one of those things where, you know, as Kamala says in the intro, you know, he didn't pull the trigger, but he tweeted out the bullets. Well, I'll tell you Clarence Thomas didn't pull the trigger, but he tweeted out the bullets a couple of weeks ago with that concurring opinion, just saying, "Hey, why is this guy even doing anything?" I wouldn't be surprised if the squad is pissed that the Trump assassin actually missed. They would have been thrilled if Trump had been killed, and they'd be able to complete their wish list. By the way, the squad got some more bad news. Jamal Bowman, of course, his, he was extinguished as a political figure in the primary a couple of weeks ago. And now Corey Bush, you know, Corey Bush, she's a faith healer, and she spends, she wants to defund the police, but spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on her own, on her own security. She's 23 points down, 23 points down in her primary, which is coming up in about three weeks. I think there's going to be another casualty. Biden wasn't elected. He was installed like an toilet. I'm not going to say he was inaugurated. I'm going to say, I'm going to continue to say he was installed, and I'm going to continue to say he was selected in the election, not elected. You remember, us Kennedys had been very suspicious of Bobby Jr. to the point of wondering if he's even a Kennedy. I remember, but now come these allegations that he was fooling around with a babysitter and totally redeem him as a Kennedy. You see his, his, his nephew, Joe, Joe, Joe Kennedy, the former congressman, he was on CNN, I think today, he's like a contributor. And he said, he even said his uncle needed secret service protection. That's, that's kind of a break. They're really down on him because, I mean, the Kennedys have really fallen far. They were, they were from one of the richest families in America. One of them, maybe the five to ten richest families in America 60 years ago. And now, now they all have hacked jobs from Brandon. It's pitiful. Hey, Democrats, after this weekend, you're going to need a lot more mail-in ballots. Yes, they are. I think the, the problem is though, as I've, as I've said before, they, they have to have a credible enough campaign. They have to be close enough so that they can make it seem like they could, they could win at the very end by 10, 20,000 votes. I think they're in, they're not in that, they're not in winning position. They're not in position to steal it this time. After the assassination attempt on President Trump, Biden was in seclusion working through renewed emotions of his own assassination disguised as a kitchen fire. Yeah, that was a, you know, he, he, he, he suffered that tragic loss that was a grease fire in his kitchen that almost destroyed the entire house. His Corvette killed the cat, killed Jill almost, came up through the, through the pond on the property. That was right after he got arrested with Nelson Mandela. And after he, uh, was traveling to bet 17,000 miles with, uh, she, and after, well, all the other stuff that happened after he beat out Joe Bellino and Roger Stoback, the Heisman Trophy winners from navy. That was your last jump line message. Thank you for calling how we car. You chump. All right, boy, we got a lot of Vivek fans in this, uh, in this audience. 978 Vivek should replace JD in the Senate if he becomes vice president. Guys never been elected to anything. I mean, what, why do you want to give it to, to Vivek? I'm sure that there are a lot of people. What's like guys that, uh, the guy that was the secretary of state. He's also a veteran, Josh Mandel. I met him down at Newsmax when he was, uh, when he was running against Vance. He's, he's not a bad guy. And, uh, and, and I'm not forgiving at the case itch. That's for sure. But there's somebody, there's some Republican who deserves it more than, more than, uh, Vivek does. Let, let Vivek work his way up. Let him be a cabinet, uh, official. All right. That's it for the Chumpline today. The Chumpline is the recorded voicemail message service of the how we car show. Biden, you know, the mainstream media, state-run media, was claiming that he was all the way back after his big rally in Michigan. On Friday night. And that was actually one of the headline in the Washington Post was Biden trains fire on Trump. He trains fire on Trump. Here's some of his training fire on Trump. Cut 70. I don't know if his drop-off's voter took place. There's so much of my narrative, my campaign has fallen apart, they say. Can we quote you on that, Mr. President? And then he introduces the names of the Democrats in the House delegation from Michigan. Cut 15. I got your back as well. Members of Congress, Debbie Haley. And she gave me, by the way, I want you to know that I've spent a lot of time with Debbie. She's helped me like a lot. I want to pronounce the name correctly. I miss, I misspoke. Debbie Haley, is he referring to Debbie Dingle? Do we know? Or is there a Debbie Haley? I know there's a Debbie Dingle. I thought that I heard that he said that Debbie Dingle looks like Jill Biden. I don't think either one wants to be compared to the other. Cut 21. And by the way, I got criticized for taking on Medicare. I mean, taking on the drug companies is the pharma for that. Well, it's not damn right, it's all right. So he was back to that again. He was back to take it on Medicare. 844-542. Mark, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Mark. Oh, hi, Howie. Love the show. Thank you. Second time caller. I just want to bring up on this assassination attempt for President Trump. If we use the same criteria against Trump that we did on January 6th, shouldn't Robert De Niro go Biden, Maxine Waters? Didn't they be all called in for questions now for inciting an assassination? That's what I'm saying. Mark, don't we need a Jew July 13th House committee? All Republicans this time, instead of all Democrats. Live from the Matthews Brothers Studios. I wasn't sure they were going to do the interview with Lester Holt tonight to counter program the Republican convention because it was supposed to be done in Austin and then I thought he wasn't going. Then I thought Brandon announced he wasn't going for his handlers, announced he wasn't going to Austin, flying there after the assassination attempt. Excuse me, the popping sounds as the state-run media called them. But they must have done the interview somewhere because NBC just released some excerpts from the interview tonight. Biden with Lester Holt, the anchor. We haven't got much of it yet, but Lester Holt asked him about the comment that's getting a lot of attention. He said last weekend, a call with the donors, it's time to put Trump in the bull's eye, in the bull's eye. Let's hear how it went. As you called your opponent an existential threat on a call a week ago, you said it's time to put Trump in the bull's eye. There's some dispute about the context, but I think you appreciate that word. I didn't say crosshairs. I was talking about focus on it. Look, the truth of the matter was that I guess I was talking about as a time was there was very little focus on Trump's agenda. Yeah, the term is bull's eye. It was a mistake to use. I didn't say crosshairs. I'm a bull's eye. Focus on them. Focus on what he's doing. It was a mistake. I didn't say crosshairs. I said bull's eye. Can we quote you on? I really don't know what he said at the end of this. I don't think he knows what he said either. I didn't say bull's eye. I said crosshairs. Did he? No, he said I didn't. Let me let's hear that again. Let me hear that again. I'm a bull's. I'm going to focus on them. Focus on what he's doing. Who mentioned crosshairs? Did Lester Holt accuse you of using the word crosshairs? Mr. President. 844-542-42. John from New York. Go ahead, John. Hey, Howie. Two things I wanted to tie together for you. Last week we chatted and I said JD Vance had questioned the Federal Reserve Chairman and said, "Look, most of the reason inflation is up and most of the reason I've been wrong on it is housing costs. Don't you think illegal immigration is causing that?" No, no. I don't see that. Well, there's some of this and that. It's just a bunch of crap basically. When you import 10 million people and you give them vouchers and you don't increase the housing supply, rents go up. Well, Washington Post just broke a story. I should say press release. Biden's flying to Nevada tomorrow to announce a national cap on rental prices. Yeah, he mentioned that in the press conference, but I didn't know what the hell he's talking about. How can he impose a national cap quote-unquote on housing prices, on rental prices? I don't think he can legally because it's a state thing. I could tell you one thing they could do, most multi-family properties, even two to four units, something that a dentist or a doctor would buy to avoid the stock market risk. They're financed for Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. It's like everything they do with the credit card companies. They could say, "Well, if you take a Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac mortgage, you can't do it unless you make a cap rent." I mean, I don't know what they're going to come up with, but the Constitution doesn't matter, so apparently. Even worse, the courts which interpret the Constitution don't matter either. But Donald Trump is an existential threat to democracy. But anyway, I think JD's question last week was really insightful and Biden apparently, according to this Washington Post article, is in trouble in Nevada because of housing prices, which isn't really surprising because the average family spends between 33 and 50 percent, and the younger people are spending more and more obviously. If you go to a more moderate income area like Las Vegas, your fixed basic necessities cost more. It's not a surprise. Keep in mind, the houses burned down in Hawaii. Those people got $700 checks. He's flying out there to announce rental caps in Nevada. I hate to say it, but as you said, we got four months to go. You can't tell what they're going to come up with in the interim. I just don't know what's going to work. I know what's going to work when they start harvesting the ballots, but I don't know if any of this means anything. Remember when they froze? What was it? A moratorium on evictions during COVID? That was a total disaster. Everyone just was squatting in these houses. It's taken years to get them out. They gave the states billions of dollars. Then the tenants were too lazy or too stupid to even apply for the relief, the subsidies, whatever you want to call them. It was a disaster. Now they want to do it again. Again, I think Trump and Vance would be smart to continue, because this is obviously the issue, focus on, as I call them, self-inflicted wounds, because importing 10 million people and giving them vouchers is displacing Americans and raising housing costs. The only way to solve the problem is you get rid of the illegals or you increase the supply. Nobody's going to build new housing when their returns are capped. Right. Do they understand this way? Did they learn nothing from wage price controls back in the early 70s? Didn't work. Well, the sad part about this is use. People would come here for advice and you could say, "Well, I think you have this much in stocks, this much in bonds. You should probably buy some apartment buildings, even though renting business is hard because it's a good hedge against inflation." You can't tell people that particularly in the blue states anymore because they don't think anything is seizing your property rights, essentially. Good Lord. I saw the stock market way up today when Trump survived the assassination attempt. What does that tell you, John? Yeah. Well, I mean, it's spanking on a victory, but as you said the other day, it's not over until it's over. By the way, I talked to a friend of mine, it's a college professor about the election. He did some work for me in 2020 when the election was stolen in Pennsylvania. I was mentioning the fellow you had that... Jay Valentine? Yeah. And he made the point to me. He said, "They probably should spend the money," but he said, "Here's the problem." He said, "In Pennsylvania in 2020, they just shipped 200,000 ballots across the border because they weren't worried about address checking or anything like that. They just dumped the ballots and hoped they could write it out." So he wasn't real optimistic that even if they identify fraudulent people on the roll, that that's going to stop them from printing ballots, essentially. Right. Well, I mean, what about the fact that in Pennsylvania, that was the worst example of all because it's, again, under the Constitution, the legislature has to set up the voting laws. They have to pass the voting laws and they just... The Democrats who were running the executive branch in Harrisburg just changed all the laws without consulting the Republican majority legislature. And that's why Texas sued Pennsylvania and the Supreme Court refused to touch it. Well, and I asked my friend, he's a statistician at a college that first of all don't send me any emails because he doesn't let the FBI... No kidding. He looked at the 2020 results. And here's the thing. Biden got 3,458,000 votes, and Josh Shapiro got 3,461,000. He said the statistical probability in 7 million votes cast that they had the same number of votes is... He said it'd be like hitting powerball. He said, "There's no way that they had the same number of votes." Because usually the attorney general down ballot tickets get less votes. Good Lord. What about BlackRock? Did you see the fact that BlackRock has been the world's largest money manager? I guess that's what you call them, right? A money manager? Yeah. They have been running ads with the shooter in it. Have you seen that? Yeah, you hate to be called a conspiracy theory. But all these things keep happening. They keep happening. Yeah. I mean, you know, you talk about the powerball ads. What about that? That you're going to use the guy who tries to kill Trump. And this guy, Larry Fink, is one of the big globalists, one of the big DEI guys, one of the big guys who's basically trying to run the entire world through his hedge fund and his money managing. And he's using the guy who's trying to kill Trump in one of his ads. Exactly. And by the way, tell everybody to calm down a bit, JD Vance, because we know what the VP does. Most important jobs for Trump are General Flynn, General McGregor, Doug McGregor, and the attorney general. The VP will be coddling with Congress and stuff like that. I mean, not that I don't like JD Vance. I think he's a solid choice. But people need to just calm down. He'll do a good job. Yeah. Well, you know, Jack Post's Pissobi act just tweeted out that Carl Rove is apparently having a meltdown about this. And I know Rupert Murdoch's having a meltdown because he was trying to promote anyone. But JD Vance, why do they hate JD Vance so much? Well, because he's kind of the same cloth that Trump, he basically came, even though he's, you know, doing okay now. He was basically poor when he grew up. And he worked his way up, you know, and he's not a member of the elite. And the people that, even on the Republican side, like Ken Griffith and a Citadel, yeah, all these people care about, they claim they're for free speech and all that. They just care about, you know, making more money for themselves. And they, that's why, you know, Ken Griffith was falling all over, around to Santa's, right? And the problem is they can't control Trump. So that's why they-- Well, they're both Florida guys too, though. That's part of it though, isn't it? The Santa's in Griffin? Yeah. Yeah, that is. But I mean, but these guys clearly have to know Trump's a better position for this thing. Look, I mean, anybody's better than what we're doing right now. But I don't know what he's cooking up tomorrow, but I could envision they do something where they say we're not going to lend money unless you're creating capture rents, and they could do that legally. God. Well, but you know, again, like you say, when you have this kind of rampant inflation, I mean, this is just going to make people want to unload their properties, isn't it? Well, yeah, it's going to either-- Well, it's going to lower the property value if you cap rents, because like your maintenance costs and taxes go up every year. Right. So your return on assets is going to fall. It also could cause a banking crisis, right, because banks lend on cash flow. So if there's less cash flow out there, you're going to have less chance to sell the property. But look, I wouldn't put anything past these lunatics, so-- So they've already crashed commercial real estate in the large urban areas. So now they're doing this kind of movement into uncharted financial waters. No one's ever tried this before, because it's insane. And this could crash the rental residential markets. Yeah, absolutely, because you're not going to rent to somebody if you're operating cost or greater than your rental income, just econ 101. So everything goes condos, right? Well, yeah, eventually, or you know, what happens is it'll be a-- You know how it works, will be like the speakeasy, so it'll be the black market, you know, where you rent under the table and all sorts of crazy stuff like that happens. Yeah, it's the way things-- It's the owner of real estate, how it goes-- Yes, I was. And I'm glad I'm not an owner of real-- I'm not rental real estate now, anyway. And yeah, it's just the-- It's like the Soviet Union. Everything's moving under the table. Everything's moving black market. This is the way it is when you have an oppressive government hand in everything. It's how depressing. All right, they got to be stopped. They got to be stopped in, you know, at the ballot box. Excuse me. What did he call it? The bullet box? It's the bullet box. The battle box. Excuse me, the battle box. We got to stop him at the battle box. Thank you, John. You know, we always talk about how the daily mail seems to get more stories about American life than almost any of the American newspapers because they're so bad. Now the BBC, which you don't really think of is a really great news. It's like Woke City. You know, it's like the New York Times or PBS. But you know what? They got the big interviews this weekend. They had a guy, a reporter, a guy who was just walking around talking to people after the shootings. And he got the big scoop. He's talking to this red-headed guy. I don't know if you've seen it. Grace posted this at HowieCarShow.com, HowieCarShow.com. It's on one of Grace's Twitter postings that she made. But let's listen to a little bit of this guy talking to the BBC. The red-headed. This is the red-headed guy. Cut three. We noticed the guy crawling, you know, bear crawling up the roof of the building beside us 50 feet away from us. So we're standing there, you know, we're pointing we're pointing that to guy crawling up the roof. He had a rifle. We could clearly see him with a rifle. Absolutely. We're pointing at him. The police are down there running around on the ground. We're like, "Hey man, there's a guy on the roof with a rifle." And the police were like, "Huh, what?" You know, like they didn't know what was going on. You know, we're like, "Hey, right here on the roof, we can see him from right here. We see him. You know, he's crawling." Is this Butler P.A. or Canton, Massachusetts? This is like, what happened in Parkland High School in Broward County? This is like what happened in Yovaldi, Texas. It's pitiful. Cut four. Next thing you know, I'm like, I'm thinking to myself, I'm like, "Why is Trump still speaking? Why have they not pulled him off the stage? I'm standing there pointing at him for, you know, two, three minutes. Secret service is looking at us from the top of the barn. I'm pointing at that roof. Just standing there like this. And next thing you know, five shots ring out. So you're certain that the shots came from that guy on the roof? A hundred percent. A hundred percent. And he was up there for a couple of minutes. He was up there for a couple of minutes. Absolutely. At least three to four minutes. Let's go into a break with the last cut, cut five. And you were telling police in the secret service? We were telling the police. We were pointing at him for the secret service who were looking at us from the top of the barn. They were looking at us the whole time when we were standing by that tree. Could they see him? Could they see him? Probably not. Because the roof, the way the slope went, he was behind where they could see. But why is there not secret service on all of these roofs here? I mean, this is not a big place. Did you see, I mean, obviously, everyone, when the shooting started, everyone was very panicked. Did you see what happened to him at all? Oh yeah, they blew his head off. Okay, sorry. Secret service blew his head off. Okay, we'd just be careful because we don't know who's watching, but you're pretty sure they shot the guy. Absolutely. 100%. You saw that happen? Yep. I would think the only problem would be if he said they blew his bleeping head off. If he didn't say that, I'm how we car.
