(upbeat music) - Good afternoon. Come on in to my world, Stuffie's World. I am Stuffie Girl. It is 1.20 PM on a first Sunday of 2025. I hope all is as well wherever you are in the world. It is 67 degrees down here in the panhandle. I think that we have some overcast outside because I believe we are in for some rain. West of me out in Louisiana, there is some wicked weather getting ready to be kicked up there. And of course, you know the snow event that's happening kind of around Ohio, Michigan Great Lakes area and on over to the East Coast. So a lot is going on. I know Winter Storm Blair is on the scene. But I hope the weather is cooperating wherever you are. Just wanna come on here and give you some news you could use as well as some things to make you go. So let's get into it. Yesterday President Biden was giving out the Presidential Medal of Freedoms and some who didn't make the cut when I first talked about it was Magic Johnson, Fannie Lou Hamer and a host of others. So yeah, MAGA, I think their head is exploding about Hillary Clinton and George Soros with some that was mentioned. So that was on yesterday. Congratulations to all who was given the Presidential Medal of Freedom. (audience cheering) Next up, Tennessee is refusing to release the new electrocution manual for some reason. They just said that they're not gonna release it to the public. So go figure. I guess they're doing something probably really cruel and barbaric that they don't want out for the public to know. In sports news, Derek Rose had his jersey retired. So I don't think anyone will wear the number. I think his number was one. But he had a jersey retired. He was very emotional. It's the lab news. Mike Jones was clown to other week for performing at a show that wasn't sold out or even for. But Mike Jones let us know what receipts included that he gets 100,000 a show. And he had to receipts to back it up. So Mike Jones, Mike Jones, Mike Jones. (audience laughing) And the ain't-ish news. Brett Favre came on X tweeting about he heard there was no national anthem song at the Sugar Bowl and that it was a woke message by he called out the corporation. And I think he ended it with woke sucks. No, what sucks is when you take money from TANF which is temporary aid to needy families down in poor Mississippi and you use that money to build courts at your daughter college. And you were well aware of what you was doing because on the phone calls where you were taped you was really trying to cover basically your ass. So you are the one who sucks and you need to pay that money back. And as I'm probably doing this broadcast somebody who really needs that assistance can't get it because you've taken funding that you didn't need. So it is a needy family that can't get the help they need because of you, Brett Favre. - The, I don't know what to call him at this one. Sign patrol. Thos Vegas, whoever he was, has left a series of notes. And in one of them he called on malicious to purge DC of the DMs. So I thought he was on something else being that he did it in front of Trump Towers and that's that another. But we are finding out more and more who he is, but I have drawn the parallel. His narrative is being downplayed while the New Orleans terrorist attack is being more so. I could say it's because of the deaths that was involved with the New Orleans terrorist attack or the sinister nature of it. But I just kinda feel like Cybertruck has been a little lost in the sauce and he was a mess as well. The Breaking Bad House, as I like to call it sales for $4 million. I hope that people have finally stopped throwing pizzas on the house and I hope whoever gets it enjoy living at the Breaking Bad House. In reading the alarm news, Speaker, call him over. Smug, look at Mike Johnson, who won that speaker. She up by the skin of his teeth was quoted at a GOP conference, whatever treat, do not give inside info to the enemy. We don't know what he was talking about, but he talked about Stephen Miller as the head of Trump's team and that the media goal is to divide. So this is how we're doing things. Now, I could get all mad and upset and run my blood pressure up, but one thing is they can't shut their mouths and there's always leaked just like this came from somewhere where they probably thought they was in a safe space. To keep trying to operate in secret while being exposed publicly, keep it up. In disrespectful new Scott Jennings, who I cannot stand. And I don't see what value he has set round table on Abby Phillips show on CNN. But he was talking in the most disrespectful manner about President Jimmy Carter. Once again, he's being called the worst president and maybe I haven't paid attention or been sleeping on things. This is my first time here on this. And I think it speaks to who you are as a person to dog, a person that's deceased and no longer here. And he really had awful things to say about him. But when he described his beef with President Carter, if you didn't know any better, he was talking about his Lord and Savior, Donald J. Trump. Heart Plaza in Detroit, which is one of my favorite places to go next to you, Bill Al, is doing renovations to provide ADA access. You know, I take that very serious now being that I have a little extra with me and that's the American Disabilities Act and they're making it easier to get to the Gateway of Freedom there. So I am ecstatic about those renovations. I'm gonna ask the question, have you all ever noticed on Dayline and I watch it a lot of times late at night, that it's always that the person was beloved. And last night I heard one. This was an affluent neighborhood. There's no murders here until there's one. That just gets me. Sometimes the tone deafness, if you will, of the description of people, they were clearly not good people. And no, they didn't deserve to be murdered. But it's not all puppy dogs and flowers. And every neighborhood has the potential for crime. The New Orleans Saints and the NFL are giving $1 million to the Bourbon Street victims and I want that money to go to the victims and no one else. Whether it's the ones who are deceased, the families, or the ones who are in the hospital, the man who had his wheelchair torn apart and he was knocked out of it, he should definitely receive help. And I just don't wanna see that money run up in the wrong hands. I'm getting a very sinking feeling in my stomach because the lawsuits have started, which I knew they were. I could not believe that the yellow barriers, that probably would have caught him from jumping the sidewalk was sitting in a warehouse somewhere. And know the police, she shouldn't have lied and tried to hide it because it was going to be exposed. But the fact that that the balance wasn't working, you all left yourselves wide open. The fact that a reporter was at the crime scene of the suspect's house and the landlord didn't secure the door, I'm just saying, just things they're gonna bodge and eff this investigation up. And this is not gonna be good when the two yahoos are always saying, the American people deserve the truth and kinda at the FBI. And it's gonna be real interesting to see how they treat President Biden tomorrow. Happy celebrity birthday to Bradley Cooper, who turns 50. Over, CEO and the company gave $2 million to Trump's inauguration campaign. Now, others have given one million, all the check rolls, but they gave two million. Think about that and ask yourself why. (mouse clicking) Here locally, Monday morning, with the manager happens tomorrow, in person down at the City Hall building room, 10 or on Zoom, where you can get your grievances out to the city manager. I won't waste my time, I don't like him. And he talks in circles in a word, salad, and no. So I would need to talk to someone below him or above him, but I will not talk to him. But if you have something, a grievance that you need to get off your chest, that's going down tomorrow. Tomorrow evening, the warming center will open the 80 Harris Learning Village at six or six 30. You may wanna check BBL Bay's website or social media. They have the particulars there. And tomorrow, all the way to Thursday, we should have over nine tenths below freezing in the upper 20s. So that's what's going on. I saw something very interesting today. I may not cruise through all the social media streets, but I think we need to stay here for a minute. And it was on trifling eggs, but it was something I'm quite sure it's going through each and every one of our minds. And that is what has been normalized in funerals that's actually grown. The first thing out of the gate, a grieving family should not be expected to feed over a hundred people. I give that, expecting a grieving family to be providers of everything instead of the supporters providing for them very true. The cost of burying someone, yep. Taking selfies at the cemetery, I think is disrespectful. Inviting strangers and haters, everybody don't need to be there. Catering, I always thought it was a joke to expect a grieving family to provide food and drink for people who have no financial stake in the funeral. Wearing the appropriate outfit. Having a celebration of life instead of a church service, neighbor's friends not bringing food to the grieving family. Going to people's funerals, you have not been in touch with or checked up on in at least 10 plus years. Keep the same energy for the people you kept, while they were still alive. I agree with that whole hardly, because I have said that some who have not parted words with me in 10 years, I'm not going to eat funeral. There's no need to. Lying that everyone was a good person, I just talked about that everyone is not a good person. Like my profs said, sometimes there are no heroes. Leaving the graveyard before they were done burying, rushing back home to queue for food and just to stand by the car is drinking, can't stand it. (silence) Expecting the grieving family to basically host a catered party, handle any arrangement for out-of-town relatives, I promise you you can find your own hotels. No, you can't all fit in the house. I don't care what, great, so-and-so is allergic for the repast meal. I agree with it. But those are just some things. In the comments, tell me what aggravates you about funeral, I'm coming up on October, will be year three after the death of my dad and it was a very small affair. Family and so-called friends really showed us how you really felt about my dad who helped people and would have gave this shirt off my back, off of his back, off his back. But that's what people do. That I thought that was real interesting. I don't even feel like cruising through the rest of we were at the beginning of a week. Today is January 5th, yeah, 'cause January 6th is tomorrow, January 5th. It is 12 days into greatness. If you know, you know, it is Capricorn season, oh, affirmation. Let me give you affirmation before we get out of here. I know that tomorrow will be the talk about January 6th with a rattle. Some cases, look through your left and look through your right and see who's not at work tomorrow. My body deserves to be loved in yours due to. If you wanna connect with me, you can follow me over at Blue or Sky's that is at Stephie Girl in the CYRL. If you find yourself stopped by the police, try to make it home safely outta that stop alive. Mask up over your mouth and over your nose. Try your absolute, positively best of love one another. Say what needs to be said, do what needs to be done, try to fix what you can while you're here. Any breaking news, I'll come back on and you'll see it as a Stephie short. 'Til the next time, peace. Oh, go lines, they play, I believe Minnesota tonight at four field in Detroit. Bye! [BLANK_AUDIO]
