Step @ Nite
Welcome to my step at night. It is temp 57 p.m. on a first Friday. I hope you had a good day. Whether it was nice down here in the Panhandle. Very sunny but it's not gonna stay that way. We got some cold nights coming up. It's a little bit of a nip. Now it's 45 degrees right now but I think the lowest gonna get close to freezing. But I just wanted to go in, come on here and give you the rundown of what has happened during the day and early afternoon families of the ones who were killed in New Orleans. Requested to go down to see the place which is now a huge memorial and some of the families requested and they went down there. It was very emotional. There are musicians that are playing on the street something summer. Nothing really upbeat. I just looked at footage down there. It's not a lot of people. It's not super crowded. People walking on Bergen Street and some things have come out. That's probably gonna be a little blowback and they're wondering why weren't the, what did I tell you? They recall it earlier. Today the ballers in place and it was some other things that could have been out that they just found the police. You said that and I'm like this is not going to be good but that's what's happening over there. January 9th is going to be a national day of mourning due to the passing of President Carter. He's probably got a couple of funerals happening, memorial service and all of that. So January 9th is going to be considered a national day of mourning and I think the whole flag debacle is that they're supposed to fly half mass for a certain amount of time for a deceased president. Here locally there's going to be any a warming center opening at 80 Harris Learning Village on Monday. The warming center is going to be open due to the cold temperatures which Monday through maybe about Saturday temps are going to be getting down into the 20s, the upper 20s. So they're opening a warming center again at 80 Harris Learning Village. I don't have the exact address. It's only 11th Street. If you're coming off of Martin Luther King you can't miss it. One block down you'll see it. If you are coming from east down 11th Street is one block before you get the Martin Luther King. Very easy to find. It will be open at 6 p.m. until daybreak and during the day you have to be gone. They don't have the accommodations for you to say there. They say if they have to stay open like if it's too cold to let people out in the morning they will have a to go lunch for you. But again a few restrictions. If I get the phone number I'll put that out so you can call them. But I know one thing is that you have to be able to get around on your own. If you need assistance they can accommodate and they are looking for volunteers to take shift more specifically probably overnight shifts because like I said, open at 6 p.m. It doesn't close up till daybreak unless something changes. So that's happening. There will be extra security at the Detroit Lions that play I believe it's Minnesota on Sunday night. But yeah they're stepping up security and I think they play in Detroit I believe. An Amazon worker who was hit by the vehicle down on Bourbon Street as well as shot is denied leave. She works for the warehouse and I guess she called and told him what happened and she put out on social media that her leave was denied. I don't know how many ways to tell you that a company is a company didn't tell you something like that. And that's all the more reason that I ain't jumping up and down about rumors of them possibly coming here. It is a company next to Walmart. They come in at a close second. My person has been hit by vehicle and shot and you don't want to give her leave. The superintendent of Oklahoma schools did his little video and I noticed when I read the post by T-Rump that term patriotism came up a lot of times and I have just about had enough. Just because I don't worship the flag doesn't mean that I'm not patriotic. Just because maybe I don't have an undying love of this country does it not mean that I hate it. Schools are not training grounds for terrorists and that's what that superintendent said. The kids are taught to hate. They're not taught the history of this country. No they're not taught the history that you want them to be taught. This is the same person that wants the Trump Bible to be taught. I don't know what's in that Bible but I don't even think that the King James version need to be taught not in school. Maybe I don't bleed red, white, and blue. Maybe I have taken the time to really learn what the history of this country is and it ain't baseball and apple pie. In the same thing that you claim that the radical left and when you say that I already know what you're about. You want to indoctrinate kids with we're going back to the basic and your state brings what in education like somebody say you're step up from Alabama and Alabama and Florida are in the bottom out of 50 states in the in the upper 40s percent. So you want to get back to basic. You think you're going to teach kids love a country and you're talking about and have patriots. You stand there and you tell lies. When you recite that pledge you're telling lies one nation under God indivisible for liberty and justice for all. Really my country is the sweet land of liberty really you're always citing the Constitution. We hold these truth self-evident. What truths? We're on the cups of hell. I spoke about earlier how the speaker got elected. You had a representative from the Virgin Islands the territory's got no vote in this. She tried. I was just basically not recognized which means shut up. You had three people that was against the speaker that barely got enough votes and two of them was taken in the background to talk to him. It was bad enough that the orange ogre had reached out to them. This isn't the mob or the mafia and the two that was not going to vote for this man. Moraxley switched her votes. This is what we're dealing with and you want to talk about being patriotic. How do you love a country that doesn't love you? Maybe I look like the one. They're eating cats. They're eating dogs. I may look like that person. Disgusting at best. In Ohio, Governor signed into law to charge the public for law enforcement and body camera footage. So if you want things you're gonna have to pay and it could run as much as $750. That's bull crap but a lot of times when you request documents and want things they want to charge your eyeballs out to deter you. Right now they want to charge somebody here $450 because she requested 10 years of records from something and because the actual piece of paper is only 10 cents per copy 20 cents if it's double-sided they've added in the amount of research time some wondering have they added that in to their cost but yeah they want to charge their people. That's all I have for right now. You know my night closing last shorter than my day closing. God willing to keep don't rise. I'll see you on my side.
