(upbeat music) Hi there. Later, darts gets gay. First though, many schools start back today, boo-hiss. But for some pupils in Canada who are questioning their gender identity, things are looking up. It's the end of a rule in the New Brunswick province, meaning parents had to be told when a student's using a different name or pronoun. This came in under a previous right-wing administration playing into all the anti-trans culture wars nonsense from their sort. New Brunswick's child and youth advocate, Kelly Lamrog, tells CBC News, "We need to lower the temperature." The greatest thing we can do, I think for kids who are going through some of these tough questions, is calm the adults down and build as big a consensus? I'd like to go back to an age where this isn't political. Keeping parents in the loop is now encouraged, but no longer required. Next to Russia where looking too gay can get you fined. Eight people were arrested in a nightclub in Chula, south of Moscow last February. It's thought seven have now been fined for trying to arouse interest in non-traditional sexual relations. The eighth person successfully argued he was just a goth. And at the World Darts Championship, "Yes, you heard me right. "The finals had an out gay referee for the first time." Hugh Ware took charge for the second half, which saw Luke Littler come out on top, says, "No matter who you are, "you can achieve in any world you want to, "and most importantly, you can belong."
