[MUSIC PLAYING] NBC News Radio, I'm Brian Schook. Extreme weather is slamming the US. An intense heatwave has over 86 million people under alerts in the Northeast and Midwest. The US Supreme Court will issue more opinions tomorrow, as it still has some major decisions to hand down before it's expected to recess at the end of the month. Governor Kathy Hochl is signing historic legislation meant to protect New York kids from the addictive harms of social media. Democrat Hochl says platforms like TikTok and Instagram pull kids in with their addictive forces. They're trying to transport them from happy-go-lucky kids into teenagers who are depressed, isolating themselves from human contact. The first in the nation legislation bans social media companies from showing children content that's based on their user history. I'm Brian Schook.
