NBC News Radio. I'm Brian Schucht. Extreme weather is slamming the U.S. today. An intense heat wave has over 86 million people under alerts in the Northeast and Midwest. Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts, New Jersey and Delaware all have alerts in place. Major decisions from the U.S. Supreme Court could be handed down as early as tomorrow. Having them are a ruling on former President Trump's claim that he's immune from prosecution for alleged crimes committed while in office. There's a bipartisan push in Congress to designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, Senators Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina are calling for a vote to do so on the Senate floor. Blumenthal said this is something that must be done. Russia deserves to be in this small, selective club. Ryan Shook NBC News Radio.
