(soft music) Your morning ray of sunshine by Anand Seftkumar, the domino effect. The day is progressing perfectly nicely. We're doing our work well, enjoying it, all is good. And then boom, something happens to upset us, get as anxious, agitated, fully in nikasana or not. That's the end of our perfect day. From here onwards, the domino effect comes into play. Our mental and emotional unrest starts affecting everything we do. We overreact to the smallest of things, get angry or upset at the most tiny provocation. Naturally, more things start going wrong and it all snowballs into a completely rotary. Do remember that till that one thing went awry, everything was going great. And compared to that single setback, there might have been many positives and upsides in that same day. But we let that one thing upset us so much, it affected everything else that followed and it all went downhill. What could we have done to stem the tide? Small, simple thing, but very effective. Rather than getting sucked into that spiral of angst, we needed to take a step back, shake ourselves out of that bloom. We should have reminded ourselves about all the great stuff that had happened since waking up of all the fabulous work we had done, of everything that is going right in our life and kept doing that till our spirits uplifted and we were feeling chipper. Now if we entered the rest of the day in that mood, the cascading effect would have reversed. We would have looked at every subsequent event from the lens of positivity, focused on doing good and that would have kept making us feel better and better and result of fabulous day. Let's try this, if and when things go wrong. Rather than just being carried downwards with the tide, let's turn the direction of the flow. Sunshine in your day.
