Welcome to another episode of Ryan's Method Passive Income Podcast. Here's your host, Ryan Hogue. We got to talk about my all-time favorite niche. It only sells well about two times a year, the first time being late August, early September and the second time being about 17 weeks after that, which would bring us to about right now. This niche that's going to be revealed to you, sells extremely well both of these times of year. It's going to make a lot of sense in a minute when I tell you what the niche is. So let's get to it. So the niche we're going to be talking about today is one that I bring a ton of expertise to because I spend a lot of my time focused on it year round and it is fantasy football. Think about it. This is at its peak in terms of interest when the NFL season kicks off in early September. The second peak of interest in fantasy football is about right now when the regular season ends because fantasy football seasons typically end in week 17. That's typically when you know who your league champion is going to be and who your league loser is going to be. And I want to challenge you, if you want to make sales in the immediate future, literally tomorrow on December 31st, that will be known. Okay, there is actually one football game left tonight. The 49ers play the Lions. After that, it is in the books, the champions and the losers will be set in stone for almost every league. I even had a draft Kings team, I know nobody cares, but let me just, you know, share the story. Had a draft Kings team that went to the finals that had a one in 10 shot at the $50,000 top prize. Unfortunately, I did not win it, but had a really nice return on my investment. So I'm going to know exactly how much money that team makes after the game tonight. But it's just, it's a fun time, you know what I mean? For people that are hobbyists, for people that are, you know, fantasy football, take it a little bit more serious than others like myself. This is like kind of like fantasy football Christmas. So what I did is I went over to Amazon, I typed in fantasy football champ. It's a lot easier to sell products to people that just won their league and typically get a cash prize. So I would say sell to the champions first as a primary thing, and then secondary sell to the losers. So if I type in fancy football champ on Amazon, if I'm just looking to get an idea of the designs, I can just scroll through page one. There's no need to get super fancy here, right? You can see that, and by the way, I didn't type in T-shirt, but you can see on page one at the top of page one, T-shirts pretty much dominate after that. You do have a little trophy there, kind of a makeshift Lombardi trophy. Looks like the, you know, the NFL trophy. They've got chains, but obviously T-shirts are going to do extremely well. It is also cold this time of year, depending on where you live. So sweatshirts, hoodies, et cetera, are going to be doing extremely well. It's also a great time to put the year to celebrate the championship because, hey, I mean, this is the 2024 championship that you're celebrating. And a lot of people want to remember that it was that year specifically that they won the championship. You can even see by the BSR here on this championship ring that, you know, it's selling extremely well right now with the BSR of 886. You can also jump on over to the merch Dominator Chrome extension. If you guys aren't using that, I will link to it in the description. This can work for just print on demand, just Amazon merch in terms of scope, but you can also turn off that filter. Okay. I have my preset filter right here. If you can see it, the parameters that I have saved are has sold, exclude brands, and non sponsored. So we skip the ads. This is just how I personally like to do my research, but you can even go into the advanced filters and this right here, this toggle says MBA and KDP only. You can turn that off and expand the scope to include things like what we just looked at with the trophies, the rings, the, by the way, you can sell stuff like this is print on demand here with like little illuminated lights and trophies. I guess it's a different type of trophy. I haven't gone looking for chains, you know what I mean? But that could be a fun one right there. I know that like certain platforms do have necklaces, but I think you'd want the big, you know, oversized chain in most cases for fantasy football champion. But here in the merch, Dominator extension, what we can do is literally just look at it through the print on demand lens. This is probably most applicable if you're watching my video and what we can do here is just sort by best seller rank, just like that. And we'll literally see the products that are generating the most sales. Now again, I am giving you the heads up. These will start selling extremely well tomorrow and you'll get at least a week, if not multiple weeks of really nice sales. So jump on this. The numbers that you see right now in terms of today's video, I jumped the gun in releasing this video by about 24 hours so that you get a heads up on selling these. So when you see a BSR of 63,000, know that that shirt, if you, if you just do a check in 24 hours, I bet you that BSR drops to like 10,000 seriously. So you can see this one says fantasy football 2024 champion. And they got the little trophy there. Be careful. If you do put trophy graphics in your shirts, you don't want it to like look too much like anything related to the national football league, the NFL, the Lombardi trophy, like all those things you need to steer clear of. So if you want to put a trophy in, just make up your own fun trophy. Don't go looking up Google images for the actual trophy that the NFL players lift. The next one, fantasy football champion, it says suck it losers, which I mean, I've sold in this niche before. If you guys have been subscribed, I've talked about it. I've even shown some of my designs in the past. My designs were always like super big, bold, and like in your face and meant to be funny, meant to be like gloating and bragging and reminding your whole fantasy football league of typically 12 people, you want to let the other 11 people know when you wear that shirt that you are the best and that they are losers. You want to make it fun. All right. So have fun with your designs. Like that is what people look for a lot of times. Yeah. I mean, I can't speak for everybody. Nothing for their fantasy football champion memorabilia, the shirts, the chains, the rings, the trophies, et cetera. Next one, simple one, just as fantasy football champ 2024. Very modest. The next one has the fantasy football league champion. It doesn't have the year, but it has the NFL shield and instead of NFL, it says FFL. That shirt is playing with fire to the max. I would not do anything like that, you know, with the NFL logo. Next one says all rise, the fantasy football goat greatest of all time has arrived. Next one just says fantasy football champion, very like vintage minimalist look. And hey, some people, that's what they want. So don't be afraid to give people what they want here, just to show you this one on a zoom in. You know, this is pretty much the antithesis of what I described where I do mine big bold, you know, boasting, bragging, but you know, there's people that want both. So both of these are clearly working. All right. I guess that's what I'm trying to say a couple more over here on Amazon. Fantasy football champion 2024, even though it doesn't have 2024 in the design. Oh, it does. It's very small at the bottom there. Next one, fantasy football legend. The one after that, fantasy football schedule and as a Monday through Sunday. Next one, fantasy football champion, suck it losers. Next one, fans football champ 2024 with the helmet graphic. Next one, funny fantasy football champion. It doesn't have the year. So if you don't put the year, you have the chance at being evergreen and generating sales every year around this time. I would say if you have a design that you really like, make two versions, right? And if you make a version without the year, like make one with the year and without the year and save the template so that you can upload it and use it again next year in 2025. But when you upload the one without the year, do not optimize your SEO around the year. You don't want it to be optimized around the year because you have basically an evergreen fantasy football champion shirt, okay, that's just my suggestion. And let's jump on over to Etsy. So what I did here on Etsy is I did the same thing. I went and I typed in fantasy football champ. All right, I didn't say shirt. So let's see what we get right here. You could actually already see that there is a league name, team name, custom shirt. This is something that we didn't see any of on Amazon or granted we had the filter on for Amazon merch only. But we know that Etsy wants to be seen as like the destination for custom products. So it should be no surprise if I fire up ever be and go to product analytics. And then I sort by total sales. The top most popular shirt on Etsy literally allows the league name and the team name. All right. And you should obviously also add the year. I don't know why you wouldn't want to add the year to, you know, celebrate your championship. But being able to add the league and the team name, that is just like check and check, you know what I mean? I don't know. It's just the year, I think. And maybe your team logo, you know what I mean? It wouldn't surprise me. This is what makes the Etsy buyer seller messaging so important. Like they might message you and say, Hey, can I add my team logo? And you might not have thought of that. But absolutely like, I mean, if that's something you're willing to accommodate, yeah, maybe charge them extra for that as well. What I'll do sometimes is I'll create like a separate Etsy listing that's just called like a additional additional upsell or something like additional price. And then when someone says, Hey, can I add my logo? Send them that, tell them to add this to cart, maybe make it like five bucks and then say, Yeah, I'll add your logo. You know what I mean? Because it's extra work for you. There's no problem charging the customer a little extra. You've got a trophy trophy championship banner. What we can do, honestly, if you didn't know about this in everybody, they have a massive product database, 130 million listings, accounting, I'm going to go ahead and click that. Now it's looking at fantasy football champ across 130, 130 million, 130 million listings. That is insane. All right. And if I want to refine it to certain print on demand products, I can click filter and I can have it include the word shirt. For instance, if I just want to see the fantasy football shirts, all right, and now it's like even though we're in the in page on Etsy, we're accessing ever bees, absolutely massive product database because on Etsy, they're not going to show us more than what like 60 or 70 products on that first page. So it's going to be really slow to do research even with ever be unless you use the ever be database right there, that option. And now we're plugging into like just massive amounts of data. So this first one says fantasy football legend. It's got the goat on it. Not exactly celebrating the champion. I mean, it's indexed on fantasy football champions. So don't get me wrong. Like it is selling, but this is not going to be necessarily like capitalizing on the trend that's going to kick off in the next 24 hours and last a few weeks. That's more of an evergreen. The next one is a T-shirt says fantasy football 2024 champ. I mean, it says that in the SEO, it does not say that in the design. So that could be an older design. Let's see actually. No, it's only two months old, somebody who knows their stuff. Another one here eat, sleep, check my lineup, repeat because you got check your fans football lineup. I almost always sometimes win at fantasy football. That's a funny one. Next one says the champions here, 2024 fantasy football champion. I love that. By the way, in ever be as well, you can scroll down and you can copy their tags right here in a single click. Now, it's not always something you're going to want to do. Sometimes you just want to look for inspiration and see how they optimize their SEO in terms of their Etsy tags. So I want to make sure you guys were aware of that 2024, what does that say? Custom fantasy football era shirt. So fantasy football era, but it's custom like that. Next one, what was that? That's not a fans football shirt. This one's at the champions here. So simple, right? I mean, it doesn't have to be complicated. The champ is here t-shirt for fantasy football champions and then maybe just add the optional customization and say, would you like to add your team name? So simple, you know, I mean, I love the idea of doing something simple like that. Don't do anything that's a play on the players names like this one right here. I would not be doing that. All I want for Christmas is a fantasy football championship. So cross-nishing Christmas with fantasy football and they do pretty much sync up as we have the championship week, the same week as Christmas. Pretty simple shirt here, fantasy football champion, eat sleep, fantasy football, repeat. So you guys get the gist of it. There is a ton of ways to sell in this niche. You're going to be looking like a genius if you jump on this right now in the immediate future with any time you have to just post a few listings. Of course, as you saw in this video, I like Amazon. I like Etsy. I'm researching Amazon. I'm jumping on merch nominator. If I'm on Etsy, I'm jumping on ever B, right, because it's going to pull all the best sellers. I don't need to be studying the shirts that aren't selling. I want to see the ones that are selling and when I say shirts, you know, it's beyond the scope of just shirts, but I'm a creature of habit. I've been selling shirts as like my priority since 2017, so I'm probably going to start there. Gives me everything I need to know, design, SEO, optional customization, tags, et cetera, the likes of it.
