This is Phil T thanks very much Flip for the last couple of hours. So it's Phil T here and I've got 10 or more requests to advance once and you'll be able to make some requests in the second hour of the show. We've got to beat the intro competition. Yeah, so you'll be able to make some requests in the second hour. Beat the intro competition and we want to know the name of the song and who it's by and we'll be giving the results around about 10 minutes before we go off the air. Not too difficult this time I don't think. Alright, here we go then. We've beat the intro competition. Do you know what this is? Let's play it again. Contact Big L Radio now. Phone 0-1-2-5-5-8-0-8-1-1-3. Email Studio@biglradio.co.uk Results at 10-6. So we're going to start off with some very sad news. If you've been listening to my shows for the last year or more you'll know that the first four requests have been for John and Anna Mandrak. Unfortunately the sad news is that Anna sadly passed away yesterday so I'm sure that all of us will send our condolences to John and Dominique and family and our thoughts are with you. I've been through it all myself with Sheila so I know what it's like and yeah it's really really sad news. So from now on obviously we'll only be playing records for John instead of John and Anna so with that in mind we'll play the first one then and we've actually got four records so we'll keep them in for today because well as a tribute to Anna as well and hopefully she's got an internet radio in heaven and she'll be able to hear the other two requests for her. Alright so our first one then is from 1951. It's all in the game and it's Tommy Edwards. Nothing to do with the Tom Edwards who was on Radio City by the way. But it's all in the game. All in the wonderful games that we know has love. You have words with him. And your peace, church looking there. But these things your hearts can run above. Once in a while you won't call. But it's all in the game. Soon you'll be there at your side with a sweet cake. And he'll kiss your lips and corrects your wedding fingertips. And your hearts will fly away. Soon you'll be there at your side with a sweet cake. Then he'll kiss your lips and corrects your wedding fingertips. And your hearts will fly away. So that was the first released in 1951 and then re-released in 1958. That was Tommy Edwards. And it's all in the game and there were several versions of that later on. So let's do that competition again. And it's quite easy I think. Contact Bigel Radio now. Phone 01255 808113. This is Cookie inviting you to join me for two hours of wonderful music and fun Thursday evenings. We'll have a long song, something to bring a smile to your face and the original five from ten chart recall. The Thursday evening swari, 7 p.m. on that big L. Close your eyes and listen to the Beatles. They're having a fun time here tonight. Every Thursday, 9 p.m. till 10 non-stop Beatles. Bigel. Strip off and snuggle up with Kev Reed for Bigelove. Bigel International. Midnight. Monday through Friday. So our second request for John over there in Hammersmith is from the same year. 1951. And that'll be coming up after this. Strip off and snuggle up with Kev Reed for Bigelove. Bigel International. Midnight. Monday through Friday. It's a lullaby of Broadway and it's by Doris Day. Come on, long listen to this, do this, do the lullaby, come on, long listen to this, do the lullaby. Everybody's got lots of things to do, but take time out to listen 'cause here's a lullaby just for you. Come on long and listen to the lullaby of Broadway, the hip were in value, the lullaby of Broadway. The rumble of the subway train, the rattle of a taxi, the daffy deals who entertain. And Angelos and Max is when the Broadway baby says goodnight. It's early in the morning, Manhattan babies don't sleep tight. Until the dawn, goodnight baby, goodnight, the milkman's on his way. Sleep tight baby, sleep tight, let's go all day. Come on long and listen to the lullaby of Broadway, the hip were in value, the lullaby of Broadway. The band begins to go to town and everyone goes crazy. You rock 'em by your baby round, till everything gets hazy, hush. Smile by you, listen that, you hear a daddy say. And baby goes home to the flat, to sleep all day. Goodnight baby, goodnight, the milkman's on his way. Sleep tight baby, sleep tight, let's go all day. Listen to the lullaby of all. So that was a Doris Day and a lullaby of Broadway. And Isha in Epson was first in today with a correct answer followed by Arthur in Bexley Heath. Yes, you've got it right. So has our good friend over there in Loughton, hi to you Howard, you were third in today. So that's the competition three so far and I think I've got a few more to check in a moment. So who's now broadcasting live on Figaro Radio? So we've had two from the fifties and we'll be having some sixties ones in a little while but so we're moving on now to 1975. It's Pete Wienfield with 18 with a bullet. I'm E.T. with a bullet. Got my finger on the trigger. I'm gonna put it. I'm a pit to click now. I'm the son of a gun. So hold it right there little girl, little girl. We gonna have a bit more. I may be an oldie, but I'm a good at you. I'll last forever and I'll be good to you. I'm working for you. I'm E.T. with a bullet. Got my finger on the trigger. I'm gonna put it. I'm a super social shot, yeah. I'm a national breakout. So maybe check your playlist, mama. Come on, let's make out. I'm high on the chart, took for the time, until I'm in you high. I ain't never gonna stop. Never, never, maybe. We gotta smash the double header. If we only stay together. Talking 'bout it, you. Talking 'bout it, baby. I'm E.T. with a bullet. Got my finger on the trigger. I'm gonna put it. Yes, I am. Be my side, baby. Be beside me. Run now, run now. I'm a singer. But pretty soon you'll see. We'll have a hit. First time. And won't be long. We'll find that we're raising a whole L.T. Ooh, ooh, no, I'm E.T. Ooh, ooh, ooh. With a bullet. Yes, I am, baby. Got my finger on the trigger. Down the trigger. I'm gonna put it. Put it. Put it. You better stop making tracks. It's so hard to do this more now. [Music] So, there was a feet wind-voot and 18 with a bullet. Okay, so we've got a few more people. Nick Richards and Laurie Driver have got it right as well. And Howard would like to send his condolences to you, John. If you're listening, I know you're probably quite busy. And you'll probably listen on the, listen again thing, weren't you? But anyway, I'm sure all our listeners send you their very, very best wishes. So, it's Phil T here. I'm here till six o'clock when Gary Jackson comes along. Phil Troll is not as goofy as he sounds. [Laughs] So, we're carrying on with all out of love. This is air supply. [Music] So, this is especially for John and also Anna in Heaven on our internet radio. [Music] I'm lying alone with my head on the phone thinking of you till it hurts. I know you are too, but what else can we do? Don't make that at all on the part. I wish I could carry your smile in my heart for times when my life seems so loved. It will make me believe what tomorrow could bring when today doesn't really love. Doesn't really love. I'm all out of love. I'm so lost without you. I know you were right believing for so long. I'm all out of love. What am I without you? I can't be too late to say that I was so wrong. I want you to come back and carry me home away from these long lonely nights. I'm reaching for you. Are you feeling it too? Does the feeling seem oh so right? What would you say if I come on you now and say that I can't hold on? There's no easy way it gets harder each day. Please love me around me now. I'll be gone. I'm all out of love. I'm so lost without you. I know you were right believing for so long. I'm all out of love. What am I without you? I can't be too late to say that I was so wrong. What am I without you? What am I without you? What am I without you? I'm all out of love. I'm so lost without you. I know you were right believing for so long. I'm all out of love. What am I without you? I can't be too late to say that I know I was so wrong. I'm all out of love. I'm so lost without you. I know you were right believing for so long. I'm all out of love. What am I without you? I'm so lost without you. So that was All Out of Love by Air Supply. Well, Air Supply is absolutely necessary awards. Of course none of us could survive, could we? Let's do that competition again in a moment. But beforehand just to pass on Anita's condolences to you, John, as well. We've had to, John, we've had Anita and also, of course, Howard. And yes, Bessie Banks also did this record. I'm told by Ron in Dulwich of No Reason To Doubt You. Do you know where this is? [Music] Contact Bigel Radio Now. Phone. Yep, you've got it right as well and so has Sarah over there in Ramsgate. Yes, you've got it right. And Nita, yes, I'm glad you enjoyed the beach boys. I knew you liked that one. Well, we're going to do the competition nothing after the next record. Let's play the next one then especially for cousin Margaret, because I know you love the platters. 1958. This is Twilight Time. Heavenly shades of night are falling. It's Twilight Time. Out of the mist your voice is calling 'Tis Twilight Time. When purple colored curtains mark the end of day, I'll hear you my dear at Twilight Time. Deepening shadows gather spender as day is done. Fingers of night will soon surrender the setting sun. I count the moments darling till you're here with me together at last that Twilight Time. Here in the afterglow of day we keep our little blue. In the sweet and the same old way I fall in love again as I did then. Deep in the dark your kiss will fill me like days with old, lighting the spark of love that fills me with dreams untold. Each day I pray for evening just to be with you together at last that Twilight Time. Here in the afterglow of day we keep our under blue. Each day I pray for evening just to be with you together at last that Twilight Time. Alright, so competition we got a whole load of people to mention here. Anita in Epsom was first then Arthur in Bexley, Howard in Loudton, Laurie Driver, Nick Richards. We had Ron in Dulwich, Claire in Nottingham, Alec in Partney, John in Derbyshire, David and Trina in Brackley, Margaret in Hadley, John in Hammersmith, Patricia in Munich, Tony eating in Harrow, Dennis Boren, I'm not quite sure where you lived in this. And finally we had Sarah over there in Ramsgate with the correct answer and Anita, glad you enjoyed your beach boys record. Yeah well every time I hear the beach boys I think of you, you know, because I know you absolutely love them, don't you? So we're going to get it up tight now. So the first record I ever bought and it's on the Decca record label. It's the moody blues and go now. I said she got to go home and go home, go now, go now, go now, go now, go now, go now go now, go now, go now, go now, go now, go now, go now, go now, go now. I don't want to see you go home, go now, go now, go now, go now, go now, go now. I want to see you go home, go now, go now, go now, go now, go now, go now, go now. I want to see you go home, go now, go now. I said she got to go home and go home, go now, go now, go now. Oh, you see me cry, I want you to tell me just what you intend to do now. So congratulations to all the people who got it right and we had a big response to this afternoon, that's fantastic, thank you very much everybody for taking part and yeah we have another competition of course on Saturday night between 8pm and 10pm. So I think the second record I ever bought was "Long Long Live Love" by Sandy Shaw and that was on the pyre record label. Well, platform played that one another time, but in the meantime let's have a bit from the troggs and yes I've got my troggs t-shirt you know, I saw them play live at the Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth. Oh, yes, this is, I can't control myself. Oh, I can't control myself, I can't control myself. And I'm with you, I can't control myself. The fence is down and you've got me shaking. You've got me so that my nerves are breaking. If you knew me, like I know you girl, your knees would bend and your hair would bend. And your hair would curl, you're making me move, yeah I know I'm else. And when I'm with you, I can't control myself. I've got this feeling that's inside of me. It makes me think of how things used to be. It makes me feel alright. When I'm with you at night and we love, and we love. You feel me so with this big temptation. It's time to feel like a move-a-nation. But I'm okay when I'm here with you. I do the things that you want me to. I do these things for no one else. But when I'm with you, I can't control myself. [Music] Time for me to go! So I'll be back Saturday, 8pm until 10pm until then it's filthy staying. Bye for now. Take care and God bless. And most of all love and peace. Bye bye now.
