Granger, for the ones who get it done. Every team, every topic, everywhere, this is believed. Well, good y'all. Welcome back to the channel, and as you can see, I don't have the usual Fort Myers set up. I'm back in Fort Lauderdale, my childhood home, because I may be going to the Florida Panthers Championship Parade on Sunday, but we'll see. And I guess I should mention, for any new fans, because this channel has had crazy growth in the last 24 hours since the heat took Kaleelware, that you can tell this is my childhood home, because I have a big three poster in the back, in which I covered up LeBron with a picture of a sonde white side. Don't blame the heat fans, you know there was a point when you like to sound white side too, and as a 15 year old kid who was really petty when LeBron left, and a sonde white side was really fun, this is what you get. But anyways, I'm sitting here just maybe 10, 15 minutes after the mom heat officially selected Kaleelware, and the second round of the NBA draft, I guess I don't know how to pronounce his name exactly, because ESPN barely mentioned it. And trust me, we'll be talking about Kaleware in this video, I'll probably have a more thoughtful breakdown in a video tomorrow or the next day, something like that, but this ESPN coverage really, really bothered me. Because I'm watching the whole draft, and you're getting all these in-depth analysis on all these picks, and you're getting the thoughts from Woz and these nice highlight packages, and you get to see the kid shake the commissioner's hand, but no. Not for Kaleware, they simply gloss right over it, they're talking to Donovan Klingen's bum ass, who Joe Cronus selected because he's a terrible GM, and they don't even mention Kaleware until maybe about five minutes later, they don't even show the graphic on the bottom, and that is just continual coverage of how much ESPN hates Miami, and it's really, really annoying, because a thousand times today, they talk about Bronnie James, who the hell cares, and that's a whole other discussion, by the way, because now Rich Paul telling teams, don't draft Bronnie? Man, no one wanted Bronnie James anyways, but the kid averaged five points a night, like who the hell does he think he is to tell teams not to draft me, that's just disgraceful, and I'm sitting here right now, it's actually the Boston Celtics pick, meaning the Lakers pick next, so I guess we will see live if the Lakers take him. And that don't make me upset even in and of itself, because if the heat got in trouble, or Dame got penalized, because his agent said, don't trade me anywhere but Miami, that's not okay, but Rich Paul can say, oh, don't draft Bronnie. Yeah, okay, this is real, real hypocritical, and between that and ESPN's coverage, and the way the league treats the Miami Heat, it's just unfair, and it's a ridiculous bias, and it's annoyed. On top of that, you got Steve and a Smith who's an idiot sitting on the panel talking about these prospects, like he knows anything, it's hard to even hear a word because he's too busy slobnobbing the Knicks the whole time, just awful, awful coverage from the entire draft by ESPN, and really just all coverage in general. But I think most people seem to agree with that because their coverage is terrible, and that's less of a debate and more of a fact at this point. But anyways, I guess the heat technically didn't take pellars, they took the Cola Jurisage, who if y'all been watching the channel about a month ago, was actually one of my three favorite picks for the Miami Heat to target. So believe you me, I was thrilled when I heard Mark Tatum come up to the podium and say, "Nicola Jurisage!" Now, I will say, I wasn't a huge Jurisage fan, to be honest, I saw a couple highlights, and I knew he was Serbian and named the Cola Yovitch, or named the Cola, not Yovitch, named the Cola, and in experience, you can't go wrong, taking a Serbian named the Cola, so those are kind of the reasons that I liked him, so I wasn't too heartbroken when I found out that they traded him. I'm like, you know, what was it, 2019, when I thought the heat took bowl bowl and I was thrilled just to find out a few minutes later that they traded him for Kasey Appala. And obviously we all know how that worked out, but I do like Nicole Jurisage, but I equally like pellars and a guy that I actually was also familiar with, because I did see a few mocks have him coming to the heat for quite a while now. I forget which one, it might have been a CBS sports mug, and the main reason that I've seen different, you know, projections of him coming to the heat is because he is a ready to play now guy. Now, I guess I should mention that he traded down a spot to get him, and I was hoping that the heat finally recouped some sort of assets because they've been losing second round picks left and right. They traded three second round picks for Kasey, they traded a second round pick with Dwayne Dedman to offload that contract, they have no picks. So I was really, really hoping that they could get some more assets, but no, they traded down a spot to get cash. I know there will be a lot of jokes about Mickey Erickson being a cheap SOB, but I'm not going to make those jokes because I don't know the behind the scenes of it all. And regardless, the heat still did get a player that I really like, and like I said, he's ready to play now, 23 years old, 6'5" with a 7'5" wingspan, imagine. He's 6'5" with a 6'7" and a half wingspan, and he weighs in at 212 pounds, and these are his official combine measurements. So it's not like all these other guys that when they're in college, they add three or four inches to their height. Now, as official measurements, I do think that's a pretty great size for a guard. You know, Tyle Hero is also 6'5", which we like, but one of his biggest downsides going into his draft was the negative wingspan. I think Tyle Hero only has a 6'3" wingspan, so when you're looking at Pella Larsen, he has almost a 5" difference on the wingspan. Let's save your pause comments for yourself, man. Can we be mature here? I was so close to talking about who's got more inches on the other guy. Anyways, let's get into some of Pella's stats from his four years in college, spent one year at Utah, and then his final three were at Arizona, and in his senior season played 36 games, 30 minutes a night, and got you 13 points a game, almost 4 assists, 4 rebounds, shot 52% from the field, which you'll love to see, and then his 3-point percentage was at 43%, which I love as well. Now, because who is texting me? Did he get down to Mitchell? No, they didn't. You know how many times I forget to silence my phone during the video, and I kind of do it on purpose now? Because one of these days, we're going to get some breaking news during the video, as the Boston Celtics pick his end. So one more pick, and then I could get really mad if the Lakers took Bronny James, because there better be some sort of fine for tampering or something, right? I don't know, it's not a good look for the league. But anyways, because of Pella Larsen's high 3-point percentage, I've seen a lot of people comparing him to Duncan Robinson and think that this means Duncan is gone. I don't exactly think so, just because if you look at Pella Larsen's attempts, it was only 3 a game. So it's not a huge sample size, it's not a Duncan Robinson sample size, especially when you consider he's taken over 9 shots a game. Only 33% of them are coming from the 3-point line, so I look at him as more of like a 3 level score, less 3D type player than a Duncan Robinson. I do want to know his free throw percentage, he was only 75% as a senior, but he was plus 80% in all the prior years. And I saw that he was actually like top 5 all time in free throw percentage for Arizona, so that's something that I like to see, because I hate guys that get to the line and can't knock it down. That's something Tyler Heroes has been very good at, so that's a positive for Tyler Hero, because I hope I'm not too negative in this video when I talk about potentially replacing him with Pella Larsen. But speaking of comparisons though, I did see a few for Pella Larsen on the internet, the ring would compare them to Desmond Bane, who is a high volume 3-point shooter, and I also saw comparisons of Grayson Allen, same thing. Now if Pella Larsen is those guys, if he does have that kind of shooting capability, then I would absolutely love it, because that would be a phenomenal player on this heat team, and it would make guys like Duncan Robinson and Tyler Hero expendable, which is where a lot of your big money is tied into, leaving you some salary cap space for other moves or to send out in trades, something like that. Now another comparison I saw was Rudy Fernandez though, a little bit of a throwback name for y'all, and that is someone who was a sniper in of his self, and he had a similar size to Pella Larsen, so I think that's a pretty great comparison there as well. Now also on the ringer, they gave him some badges that I love, I call these the heat culture badges, because the first one is Hustle. I saw this one highlight going around on Twitter, I think it was Playbook Sports that posted it first, they said Pat Riley saw this highlight and said, "Sigh me yup, you love to see the hustle from the kid diving on the floor." He also has badges of pull-up threat, catch and shoot three, on ball defender, my phone is blown up, which guarantees me that somebody probably took Brony James, or the Lakers are on the clock, but I don't like no spoilers, and I watch on direct TV, so I'm behind. That's why I got a sign on my phone. Stop texting me guys, you know I'm recording a video. Anyways, Pella Larsen also has pull-up threat, so he's a guy that can obviously is dangerous in other ways than the catch and shoot, we'll kind of get into that, but he does have a catch and shoot badge as well, and also on ball defense. So when you're talking about a guy that can shoot and play defense, I think that is the exact type of player that the Miami Heat could use right now, as the Lakers pick is in, and we'll turn it up when I see Tatum going to the podium. But for all I know, because of how much ESPN rides Brony James, they're probably going to put a whole bunch of confetti on screen and do a whole party with a bunch of flashing lights and all this stuff. Meanwhile, they can't even mention Pella Larsen's name on air for more than two seconds. That's ridiculous. But I mentioned how Pella Larsen isn't necessarily a Dunkin' Robison prototype, we know not so much last year, Dunkin' became more versatile, but before that we know Dunkin' was shooting like 90% of his shots from 3-4, Pella Larsen, actually 46% of his shots came at the rim, so he is a guy that is able to get to the rim quite a bit, and at the rim he shot 70% there so he's a guy that's a very good finisher when he gets there. Up here, here's Mark Tatum. Oh my God. Where's the confetti? Look, they about to go into it. I'm not lit. The anticipation has been building. Man, no one cares about Brony James as I sit here with Bated Breath watching this stream scene if they were actually going to take him. I've been waiting for a couple of reasons though, I'm being petty because I guess I'm petty LeBron left, but it's cool as hell to see a son playing with that. That's dope. I really hope they get to share the floor together, and nah, that's cool. That's cool. I was being a hater earlier in this video, but that's cool. I'm not going to lie to you. I'm excited to see it, man. That's cool, man. That's dope. Anyways, nothing about Brony. Back to Pella Larsen. It reminds me a little bit of Max Truce and Duncan Robinson, where as although those guys were great three-point shooters, they were always elite at finishing at the rim, always in the 80s to even low 90s. I remember at some points for those guys, so although Pella Larsen isn't at that efficiency, he does have a lot more volume, so to 70% of the rim is great. I also saw that he's a great transition score. He's very good off the dribble. This is also not a guy that's just catching shoot, which, again, is why I don't love the stereotypical white boy shooter comparisons, because I think he's a little bit more than that. I've also read that he's a good athlete. I've seen some nice dunks. Dare I say sneaky athletic. I hate when commentators say that about the white boy. What makes him sneaky? The fact that he's white? Yeah, absolutely. Which I get it. It's just funny because they don't even try to hide it anymore. They're like, oh, yeah, this guy is sneaky athletic. Tyler Johnson, sneaky athletic, even though Tyler Johnson was mixed. But for all intents and purposes, Pella Larsen is sneaky athletic, so he's not just your under the rim guy most of the time. And as far as the shooting, that is something that he, I think, can continue to even progress at to maybe get to a high volume guy, because the form is great. He's awesome on the catch and shoot, running around screens, and we know how sports should like to use an offensive system full of screens and movement and all that sort of thing, which I think is excellent. But Pella Larsen has also shown that he can use the gravity of his shooting to get inside finished with floaters, mid range shots. He really looks to be a potential three level scorer. So again, if you were looking to replace someone with Pella Larsen, I don't think it's Duncan Robinson. I think it's close to the Tyler hero. We'll see what happens, it's still a very long offseason ahead. Let me know y'all thoughts down below on everything. Pella Larsen, Brony James, ESPN broadcast, I will be reading all the comments. Make sure to like and subscribe, because I'm on the grind to hit 5K subs. By the start of next season, the growth has been crazy over the last 24 hours. Let's keep it going.
