We're going to be doing a lot of work. We're going to be doing a lot of work. We're going to be doing a lot of work. We're going to be doing a lot of work. We're going to be doing a lot of work. We're going to be doing a lot of work. We're going to be doing a lot of work. We're going to be doing a lot of work. We're going to be doing a lot of work, and we're going to be doing a lot of work. We're going to be doing a lot of work. We're going to be doing a lot of work. We're going to be doing a lot of work. We're going to be doing a lot of work. We are here. I don't know if Red's could see that, but when I hit the go live button, I got hit with a bunch of Red dots. Bear with me to make sure. It did not. Great. Technical difficulties abound. I was trying to make sure that our stream went up on our account. It did not. It's so fantastic. I don't know why it didn't, but it just like a bunch of Red dots popped up at me since I went live. You know, Black people don't like seeing Red dots flashing randomly against walls and things. We're like cats. It's Graph City while Phil figures this out. It's Righteous Ridge. It's Philip Lindsey. It's your favorite favorite, right? Your favorite podcaster is Saturday morning. You know what time it is. What's up with you, Phil? I'm good. I'm just trying to make sure that people know we exist that at least there's some way to notify people that we are live via our account because I don't know why it didn't. It didn't work. We are starting to have technical difficulties. I was I have a new camera. I got a new camera yesterday. It's a external camera. So I was trying to figure out like positioning and where it goes. Just couldn't figure it out. And the time that was taking to get to the show, but we are here. We are live. I'm excited. It's Saturday tonight. I'm going to start it out. West Coast Pro. If you are in the area, if you're in the Bay, South San Francisco, we have a very exciting show happening tonight. It's West Coast Pro. It's Prestige Wrestling. It's Deadlock Pro, the first joint show. It's going to be amazing when definitely if you're in the area, check it out. If you're not, it's going to be on YouTube for free. Yeah. So what the issue was for people that were confused while I was looking down. We are live on the YouTube account. But for some reason, our Twitter feed did not go up. It went up on a Fightful account, but it did not go up where all the places where it usually does. Come on. Don't know why I did that. I started and I got in here and our headline was wrong. Yeah, I was like, who is Jeff? Yeah, it got clipped. And so I had to make sure that that was correct before we got in. And then when I got in here, you were having issues with your camera. And so when I pressed live and if you were watching live and you still saw our intro screen up, it was because I was trying to figure out what was going on. And then I was like, oh, we also need to start our show. But you should probably do that. It is what it is. We are here. We're going to try and start this all the way over. You know what it is, guys? This is Gravity. I'm Phil Lindsey, Righteous Regis in the building as well. Yeah, technical difficulties. Will not stop your boys. Never. We're still out here. Yes. It's, they try to stop us in the beginning, but we'll continue and we're going to start from the beginning. So it is your favorite rapper, favorite, favorite podcaster. Scrapsity is Saturday. Phil Lindsey, Righteous Reg. Phil, what's your week been like my brother, man? It feels like I've been this week dog sitting out in San Francisco. So I've been living the city life a week and it's been so different from my daily life in Oakland. Cause like being in San Francisco, like in the heart of San Francisco, it's just tourists, like every day of the week is tourists and it's like crazy. This I guess Chicago's kind of like that, but like legit, no matter what time it is, you'll see somebody like running with a bag, just coming off a flight or getting to a flight. It's great. Got you. I am now being clued in by our comments that this is a Twitter change. And now it makes sense. Apparently, if you're not verified, you can no longer stream live through from your account. So this is all Eli must trying to keep your boys down. Wow. What's up? What's up? What's your boy? You can't be bad. I have paying for Twitter. So no, I'm gonna I'm gonna send my second sentence after that because we're still 11 minutes in. We're not 11 minutes in yet. But yeah, no, we don't like it. I don't know. Not a big fan. That's why I've changed. But yeah, they know where to get us though. Yeah. But yeah, it's been a it's been a week. Last time we were here, we got off here and somebody tried to take the done out. Very, very odd, very shocking turn of events. Glad that he's OK. Glad that no one no one on that stage was harmed. Condolences to the person in the crowd that did lose their life. But yeah, that was a wild turn of events. The reaction on Twitter was what I expected. People were trying to get their jokes off. Also people being very weird. And I immediately tweeted myself. Hey, man, jokes are cool, but please don't, you know, get caught up trying to be funny. And then I see my man from Tenacious D said something and they had to put the apology out. And I was like, this is exactly what I meant, man. Like everybody, everybody, you know, let's just be, let's just be a little bit more careful with things we say and things we do. Yeah, and it's like one little tweet or joke ain't worth it. You my guys like Tenacious D, they've been down for like 25 years or something, maybe more. They got shows, they got movies, they got all kind of stuff. And in an instant, it feels like it was over. Gas got off a little joke on stage. And I watched the video and initially Jack Black, you know, laughs and he's into it. And then the next day he's like, Whoa, I didn't know what was going on. Things are happening. Things started moving fast and cake on stage. From here on out, Tenacious D, I don't know what's going on with that. So yeah, like to see a relationship, it's funny because we were just talking about the podcast relationships and like, Jesus and Mero and like, these things can end in an instant feels crazy. And just off of jokes like this, this whole thing got to me feeling like, whatever this is, the simulation, whatever's going on, I don't like it. I don't like any parts of it. Everything surrounding like, we're supposed to be like, trying to make changes and we're supposed to try to like, help our people and things. And it's like, none of that, that what's going on has to do with that there. This is a game. This is circus. This is like a media, a rodeo. And it's like, I don't like this, you guys. And I've been feeling uneasy all week about it. And it's like, there was an assassination attempt and it like it's bits and jokes about I'm like, what, what part of what where have we landed at Phil? Because I don't know what this is. Yeah, this is all a big time circus. There are a lot of very icky stuff going on right away afterwards, people trying to hype this guy up for raising his fists into fines afterwards. And I saw he got a new sneaker with that that picture on the side of it. I was like, Oh my God, I've seen that. I've seen like certain people's reactions to it. Listen, I've never seen more white people say this is the hardest thing. And I'm just like, you know, when when you guys use certain slang for certain things, man, I just listen, man, I've seen people saying certain words that I'm just like, these words mean something, man. This is the most gangster thing I've ever seen. I'm just like, bro, gangster feel we got a is dead. I think it was it was a lot. But again, it could have been 10 times worse, 100 times worse. I don't think anybody wanted to turn on their TV and see this man gunned down on TV. So violent. That is not the outcome of this. Yeah, we come on here every week talking about how wild it is outside. You live in Chicago. I live in Oakland. Like on the daily, I'm seeing some crazy. I don't want to see any violence. Like, I don't want this guy in office. I don't want him doing what he does. But like, I don't want to die off of it. It's a no to me on everything, bro. But yeah, so I'm not saying that he deserves to die. No. Yeah. But yeah, all of that was the what else what I'm like, what's happening here? What a very grim Saturday with a lot of a lot of stuff around it was just like, Oh my God, what what world are we in? And just even the spectacle of R and the RNC afterwards, I was just like, this is just like what country do we live in? I just I don't what is this? It's like they've done bits like Simpsons have done things and I've watched. I was thinking about it this week 30 Rock. They did a bit where they're like the Republicans don't have any cool celebrities like we don't have anybody to endorse us. That's cool. And then they did the RNC and I was like, damn, they were right. Dude, this is like they got Hogan out here. They got Ambrose. Mike, what's going on? Yo, everything I've seen from this looks like a complete and utter circus. The music video they put up a music video with that with homeboy from Florida. That's a rapper. I was like, this is this is quite awful. You got an amber rose in the videos like everything about this is awful. And yeah, we got Hogan. It just. But he's talking about WrestleMania three and seven Andre the giant and WrestleMania five beat macho man. I'm like, bro, are you are you sure? Yeah. Yeah. And we like with this is a wrestling podcast. We know the game feel and we are not in at all. Like I could see exactly what's going on here, but I'm out all the way out. Zero percent. Yeah. What a what a very odd weekend. And we're just getting into it. It's it's not even November yet. Yeah, but I did see some people in all my timeline. And I felt a bit like a Hogan, but you know, of course, sand racism. I was like, what's going on over there, man? I've seen people over there trying to roast my guy on that other show. And I was like, man, this is where we're at. Like this is this is where we're going to start the show. This is where we're going to start my week. You know, I was all right. And so they took a shot. If they were to take a shot at my guy, they tried to roast my guy. And I said enough was enough. Yeah. Let red live. I would rip this shirt off, but I actually like this shirt. I and I don't think there's anything under here. They're definitely not a red shirt under here. You saw how they feel? You saw how they had me? I saw how they tried to have you in a chokehold over there, man. I'm down bad. I'm like, Hey, somebody help somebody throw in the town. Nobody was thrown in the town. See, my friend comes here immediately and defends me. That's the game right here. Okay. Better. I don't like it, man. I see that I was like, listen, man, I am I am a dreadhead guy like my friend. See, they don't understand it. Feel immediately understood. Feel immediately understood. That's the game. Look, I like other dreadheads know that, you know, a lot of us we're going to look like we have a big forehead because that's just kind of how the look is when you have friends. And so it's just, you know, it's unavoidable. And I was like, man, just this is how it is over there. Huh? We just that's how we doing things over there in California, man. Like what's up? Calla forehead connection, bro. All right. Okay. Y'all got me. Y'all got me. Look, especially when you do a retweets, I had like fresh retweets. I'm like, feeling good walking outside. That's you like things change. I'm getting older. You got out. You know, look, stop it here. That's just what it is. But yeah, they had me real good. It got me. They got me out of here. I'm recovered though. I'm back. Look, I got my bandana on. I don't know what I'm about to do. I don't know my own show over here too. Not on the flagship. You know, I'm about to do me dirty over here. Crazy cold world. Yeah, real cold world. Real cold world. They tried to give me, but you know, look, I'm back and I'm outside in the dreadheads. I'm glad that feel immediately knew what time it is. And we are always going to stick together. So yesterday, some new music came out. You heard this new, I listened to this Childish Gambino a couple of times. You bumped it? I haven't listened to the whole thing, but I like what I heard so far. Very creative. A lot of very beautiful melodic music on there. He's back and rapping, rapping on some of these records as well. Totally. But yeah, I did not hear the whole thing. But what I heard so far, I really liked it. Yeah. Apparently, he's been saying we've know for a couple years that he wants to retire the Childish Gambino moniker. I don't know what totally that entails or what it is. But this album felt like this is it. Like this album was like Childish Gambino. I know you guys like them a lot. Here it is. Like here's the here's the swan song. Like it's a bunch of different mixes of styles. Like if you know Childish Gambino, it's like his complete discography. He like made up one album to kind of encompass that like there's dope rap records. There's dope pop records. There's some like alternative type records. Like it's like the spectrum of Gambino. He like runs through it like really dope stuff in there. If he's going to stop rapping like I get it, I understand like what he's doing and where he's where he's at at this moment. He's making movies, making TV shows. It's hard to try to continue doing that also and trying to maintain being a rapper and what they expect you to do on this run. They want them to like freestyle and like man, I'm not trying to do none of that. Listen to this music and we'll move on out of here. But shout out to Gambino. Like he he has entered into that like Jamie Fox level of like what can't he do at this point? Yeah. Will Smith. Yeah. I mean, if you know the whole story of him doing Child's Gambino and creating that moniker going and using the Wu Tang name generator to come up with the name and even just putting out the mixtapes. It was all because he felt like he had to do something under a pseudonym because people wouldn't take his music seriously as Donald. Yeah. And so he needed a rapper name. And so I could totally see him at this point in his career as big as he is feeling like, well, I don't need to do that anymore because I'm big. People are going to accept the music for me. He could be Donald Glover now. Yeah. My music is very successful. So, you know, no matter what I put on the on the front of this album, people, if they want to support it, I got to support it. So I get it. I get also feeling like the name Child's Gambino is kind of silly with other things he does. So I get it. Because when he got that name, it was a way different time. He was in a different place. Like if rap wasn't a different place, you could kind of get away with that type of thing. And it's different now when you're like at the Oscars. Yeah, everything's different now. I mean, when he initially started doing a rap music and he was coming fresh out of community and people weren't taking him seriously. People didn't know if this guy can go off on his own and have an acting career outside of community. He was trying to write shows. People weren't trying to take him seriously. And I was like, hey, man, maybe you guys, you know, better than the wrong course with a lot of this stuff because he's been pretty fucking successful since then. Yeah, they know they counted him out. I remember watching community. I remember that day as like watching community and going to Google like, who was this guy? Like he just felt like he came out of nowhere. And then the first thing is like, oh, he does music too. And like getting into his music and then reading interviews of being like, I want it to be so separate. Like he wanted the acting and the music thing to be because he, like you said, he wanted to be taken serious. And so when he started to get bigger with the music and then he used that to transition with the acting stuff, I was like, man, this guy really has, he really knows the formula. And he took that formula and he like really started to execute. I think after Atlanta, when he like crossed over into a different market, because initially, you know, black people weren't really trying to mess with the homeboy. But then like, when they when he made that show and kind of gave them something to relate to things change for him. Yeah, I definitely saw that clash of him doing the music and certain people were like, I don't know, man, he's out here with a short shorts on. He's corny. I don't know if this is for us. I still see some people that are like this. Still missing for us, but no, I'm not sure. As a, as a Gampino guy from all the way back at Kodasack, what, what did the EP with the leaves on the front of it with freaking keeks on it? Now he's been making great music for a long time as a quietly has a very, very good discography. Not even quietly at this point has a very good discography. We got Denzel Curry this weekend as well. I didn't get a chance to listen to it yet, but I really like the last Denzel Curry album. I've still been listening to the Common at Pete Rock. Really good album. Really, really good. That album has been dominating. The Common thing has just really funny. I'm like, I'm like, I don't want to say it out loud, but I think I'm going to have to. There was a debate on Common and Nas, this coming out of the album. I don't know why, because people just like to compare. And I'm like, yeah, yeah, on like who's a better rapper. And I'm like, it's not us. The issue, I only have one issue with Common and I can hear it in this record. Common doesn't write anything down. That's like a thing he like has talked about it for a long time. His process is he gets the beat and he lets it live in his brain. He'll go right around. He freestyles to it, then he gets to the place and he just, whatever it comes, he freestyles it, essentially. And I can hear that because I'm a freak. Some of his verses feel like they're a little too long and it's just because of the way that he flows. Just how the structure of his verses is just because he don't write it down. He would be the best rapper of all time if he just wrote it down, but I understand his process and why he does it because he's been successful off of it. But I can hear it and it drives me crazy. That could just be a rapper thing. Most people are probably like, what are you talking about? That's just me like focusing in on bars because I'm a crazy person. I don't know, but I'm his heart. It's a great album though. I'm really good. I just wish people would give him his flowers like they should. He's had an incredible discography. B's in my top five hip-hop albums like B is in there for me. Yeah, he's had an incredible discography. I was just having a debate with somebody on the phone that has only real missed to me in terms of albums as electric circuits. The person I was arguing with was like, no electric circuits is a great album. I was like, boy, I did not care for electric circuits, buddy. The single was great. All-time great single, one of the best common records he's ever put out. I want to know who this person you were arguing with. That was a million. I was like, I thought it would be, I'm like, he would think that albums don't though? But yeah, I couldn't understand that. That makes sense. Wasn't a fan of that album. Because he tried. I think it was just at the time. Questlove talks about it on his podcast of the creation of that project and what everybody was doing and what they were going to. They were working on the D'Angelo stuff. A lot of that stuff was not D'Angelo leftovers, but they were in that D'Angelo mode in Questlove. Common wanted to get on that wave. That's what happened. People didn't really understand what was going on. Maybe it's ahead of his time album. Maybe it's one of those things people will go back and go, this was better than I remember it. But yeah, but even if you look at his discography and all of the people he's worked with, he's had parts of his career where Kanye did whole albums for him. He did whole albums with no ID. Now, yeah, the whole album with Jay Rock, he's worked with some of the greatest hip-hop producers. Of course, he's done records with Dilla, was really good friends with Dilla. Dilla slept on his couch. Pete Rock, Dilla, Kanye. That's like legit some of the greatest of all time. He's done full albums, full projects with him. He has that on his resume and they all went to him. It wasn't like he's like, "Please do a record." They're all like so excited to also be on record with Common just because he's given up quality, high quality music since 1994. It's crazy. Yeah, definitely. One of the greatest rappers with all time in my band. Shot down. Definitely one of the best artists to come out of the city. I don't think he always gets his flowers like he should, but he doesn't. This album, like I said, is very, very good. It feels very similar to what Nas is doing when Nas was coming back and hitting you with the whole albums with my man, producer that he worked with. Hip-boy. Hip-boy. It feels like we're kind of back to that of those artists working with one producer and having a defined sound for an album. We don't get a lot of that anymore. It's cool to see it. The thing that makes me most excited about it as a person that's getting up there, getting older in age, there isn't a time limit like there used to be on great being a rapper first and making great music. It used to be like, you're 38, you're 40, you're old, but still kick your ass your 36 in a karate class was like a thing and people were like, "Oh, Jay-Z, he's an old person." But now it's like, Nas is 50 and we'll put out like a dope album tomorrow if he wants to. Comments 50 years old too. Great albums. It just shows me that there ain't no time and this is going to continue because hip-hop, these guys are the same ages hip-hop. Hip-hop is 50 years old and they're both 50 years old. We don't even know how we still haven't figured out how hip-hop ages because like I said before, we were stuck in the old guy era. But now they've been talking off this comment and Nas stuff of like adult contemporary hip-hop which sounds hilarious. I think I might fit into that category myself and I'm like, "I like it. I'm not mad at it." Yeah, I definitely think we're probably going to get another whole album too. I would think so. I would assume we're getting one. I would think so. It can't be over. As usual, you can send us your hover chats at humperchats.com/flyful. Of course, you can send us your super chats. I'm pretty sure we already have anything. Starting this show was very distracting but it was. We got it together. Yeah, we do got a couple super chats and of course, we appreciate you guys always First Men knows. Tenruza says, "New Japan was fired with the G1. A.W. cooking, please. Motor City machine guns can't wait to be at all in. Cardi B went off. No more child of Skambino question marks. What changes would you make to the BET Awards?" It's a loaded one. I honestly haven't watched the BET Awards in a while, so I don't know. I guess, I don't know if I'm really the intended audience anymore for the BET Awards, which sounds hilarious, but I don't know. I just don't really watch it like I used to. Yeah, the Cardi thing is really funny to me because it feels like Joe got hit with the thing that a lot of us that do podcasts get hit with and this happens to them a lot, where somebody will clip something and then that clip goes everywhere and people think, "Oh, he hates Cardi." And then Cardi keeps seeing these clips of him talking shit and it's like, "Oh, why are you not really fucking with my music? Why are you doing this?" And I'm like, "Bro, if you've listened to that podcast for a long time ago, like I did, that guy is a Cardi fan. He likes Cardi's music. He really fucks with Cardi as a person." And so when she was doing all this, I was like, "Oh, this is hilarious." Because Joe really just wants some more music. That's all he's been saying. He's been like, "What's the holdup on the music? Why aren't you touring?" When you look at some of your contemporaries, Meg came out after her. Meg already has two albums. How have you only had one solo album? And so his whole conversation around her album and what's to hold up with the rollout, I don't know why she took it so personal. And I mean, I didn't see exactly what you said in the last episode, but it was just funny from before I went watching it. I'm like, "This is very, very funny." Because it's not like one of those younger artists that Joe has made sure to tell you he don't fuck with it all. He actually really likes Cardi. That's the funniest thing about this, Phil, is because as someone who listened to Joe pretty heavily when Cardi was on top, I was a bigger Cardi fan because this full was coming on every week being like, "Cardi V's great. Well, she has great rap. She's blah, blah, blah." This full was championing. I can't say that word so hard every single week that I was a bigger fan of her because of it. And for her to go from, I mean, I would probably understand that too of like every time you see this guy, it feels like he's talking about you and people probably send you the clips directly and not in full context. But like, he's is such a big fan of her. It's funny. And that's kind of how he took it. Like he tweeted a couple of things. And I guess they did a pod because I heard by Kim being like, "Cardi, it's not anything that you thought it was, but I understand." Yeah. I'm sure they're going to get in contact. This is going to get smooth though. It just kind of feels like when Nikki had a more queen radio and she was going off on them. She was just like, "Oh, you're stupid now? Cut his mic because you're stupid now. Touch your mic." And then then they ended up doing a pod together and they did interviews. So I'm sure they'll probably move over. The thing is like rappers have always kind of had this contentious relationship with media. And Joe is in a special place because not only is he now media now, but it's like also you're appearing. So they're looking at you like, "No, you're supposed to get it. You're not supposed to talk like those guys do." And you know, I get it to a degree, but also I'm kind of like some of y'all are kind of overreacted. Speaking of media, you saw your boy Elliot Wilson going on a hot shot on me. I thought that was also very, very funny. I was laughing so hard. I was like, "No, Elliot's really mad, y'all." Shout out to Elliot with two T spell his name correctly. Straight up. As somebody that like people also misspell my name often. I'm like, "Spill my man's name, correct." It's funny though because Elliot, the vent that he's been doing on Twitter is like, he's been trolling. So like the initial tweet when he's like, "Fuck you, Charlemagne." I was like, "Oh, he's kidding." But then like, he wasn't. No, he wasn't. He called my man to third mic like I'm like, "Oh, yeah, he was a hall of fame, third mic. No, I get this shit off. We're not trying to get none of that." I don't know. Elliot is really going in right now. This is crazy, but like, I don't understand what's going on. Like they're like, Charlemagne's like, "Old guys shouldn't be in this being. I don't want to be an old guy in this, blah, blah, blah." And then Elliot's like, "I'm an old guy in this." So like, old guys are beefing is what the end result of this is. You guys, what are you talking about? Yeah, I just think that list is kind of, it's just flawed, man, because I finally looked at it in full and I was like, "This is wrong." Like you got sway not in the top 10 and you got like Kai Sinat in the top five. I was like, I understand the reasoning and what the metrics you think you're using. But when you tell me like top hip-hop media guys and you've got Kai up here and sway back there, Angie Martinez back there, I was like, "Oh, this is, this like makes my brain hurt. Like, I can't process this." Yeah, that does actually make sense. And it goes back to like the age thing because like, where am I represented? Like, I got a free subscription to Sirius and I've been listening this way in the morning and it's great. And I get a lot of information from that. So like, where does my representation? I don't get nothing from Kai, zero percent. They're not talking specifically about radio stuff. They're talking about the internet stuff, the guys that are getting buzzed, the guys that are, it's a different metric. That's why I'm like, I mean, you, when academic is number one, you know what this is. And that's why I'm like, I get it, but that's what makes it so complicated. That's how the most buzz totally. That's what makes it so funny that Charlotte May is kind of like, nah, I should have been higher and nah. Why Elliot at this spot? It's like, okay, well, you kind of hating a bit. But also, like, this list doesn't matter, guys. Like, that's like if a power ranking guy for bit or power ranking came out for media guys for wrestling. And I was just like, mmm, what's this bomb doing up here, man? Oh, I see someone on the internet trying to get relevance from this. And it's just like, dude, who cares. Oh, I should be right in front of him. I can't believe this that as please. Nobody ever do this because I don't want no part of this. No, I still kind of chuckle at seeing Elliot at WrestleMania two years ago. That was funny. I was just like, oh, Elliot here. Shout out to Elliot. He should come on Gravity. I think he'll come on Gravity. I don't know. He's got his pie going with DJ head. I chuckled as well because DJ had had a punk shirt on. I was like, what's this? World's a colliding. Nah, hip-hop and wrestling has been colliding. Wrestling is more popular than it's been a long time, I suppose. So, yeah, it's well-read. Yeah. Shout out to the colliders colliding. Our friend Aaron Busby says, what's up, my G's? Happy Grapp state. If any Mac was still running shit, what would be the main event of SummerSlam this year? How are you taking us back to old? Why are you doing that, Busby? I think about that, man. SummerSlam right now, main event. Roman probably would still be champion. I definitely don't think it would be Cody. Might be, might be Brock. Honestly, Mr. SummerSlam. It's just Brock and Roman at SummerSlam again. It might be Brock. Sick question, Busby. That was a big sick old question. We're not trying to go back to them time, buddy. We've moved on. If things are horrible again, how would it be? We've moved on from that. Ventuently said, racism from apartheid, mine, owner, Nepo, baby, nah. Yeah, it was a lot of stuff I saw this weekend. I don't want to get into this. This isn't a political podcast. It was a lot of stuff that I saw that I did not like. I saw a lot of people hyping up things. I was like, this is not a great look for you, buddy, but hey, that's what you want to do at your time. Have at it. People at the convention with the fake bandage on their ears, I'm like, bro, do you guys? I listen, man. I don't want to, I don't want to make this sound to me, but I'm going to go ahead and make it sound me. Those people look like morons, like they look like complete these are some of these people the same people are like, I'm not putting on a mask, but you go and put a teabag on your ear to look like this guy. What's wrong with you? The math ain't mafing so consistently. I'm like, what do you guys not? And they, I don't think they understand they don't see it. They don't care. Ventuently, it also says, cow glass did nothing wrong. I mean, it was just a joke. I don't know, like losing like your representation and all that is kind of crazy. Got to be careful with these jokes now, man. And that's kind of why I was saying, have you careful what you say? I don't know if he deserves all of this that came from it, but I also know when you're running a business, you got to be careful with these kinds of names. And Tenacious D is just, it's a business. It's not just what it was of a niche band that made jokes here and there. They have like a business tournament. And it's funny because everybody on that side thought was like, yo, there's no sense to the snowflakes, snowflakes. But then like, yeah, I mean, but this is just how everything has turned murky because I mean, while I do understand there's some hypocrisy here, this guy is a former president and there wasn't a assassination attempt like that's pretty serious thing. And I think if this was anybody else, it would have probably been taken more seriously. But this is just how much he's murky politics that everything gets warped, everything gets turned into satire and parody for things or people have like jokes about everything. And I mean, it's the internet's going to joke about everything anyway, but this guy has made everything into a joke and it shouldn't be a joke. Because like, SNL is going to do a bit on it. So like, I don't, you know, where's the line? Vantam Blade also says, conservatives make all the jokes about Biden, but somehow take a shot, a yo at Trump, and, and we have a problem, equal rights, equal less. All right, yo, I mean, Trump did maka Pelosi when there was a attempt on her husband and there was a breaking attempt at her home. He's made some very tasteless jokes as well. But again, that's why I'm saying this guy has murky the whole thing when he does that and then people turn it into a tit for tat. It shouldn't be a tit for tat. Like, I'm not a fan of the guy either, but I'm not a big fan of going back and forth. And oh, because he made light of something, then we need to make light of something too. And he like legit his ranking like beats everybody's. So, you know, it's crazy. Darin Pittman says peace fellas. Y'all heard about the two core Scorpio situation? Yes. Very, very sad situation. I don't know what is the update on that. But hopefully the OG is doing all right. Hopefully his head is up. The thing I hate it the most about it is I felt like why is he in that situation? Like, why was he there? Why was he because this was where he worked, right? He's like working overnight graveyard shift as a security guard at a convenience store, like some shit. And that's why I mean, it's like, as much as he's done in the business, and that's what he's doing right now. And you're in that situation where that happened. I just hated everything about it. The latest thing I saw was his wife or partner, whoever was starting a GoFundMe to like pay for court stuff and all this. And I'm like, pretty much what Phil is saying here, pro wrestling needs like a pension or something. Like I was a legend, like two-cold Scorpio, somebody legit. My favorite black wrestler of all time, I made a dumb list back in the day. The top 500 black wrestlers number one, two-cold Scorpio revolutionized the fucking business. How is he having to work at a job where this situation would even happen? You guys don't know like he was working one night and some guy drunk or something was threatening him and self-defense to court Scorpio stabbed him and things happened and and and stuff. I think the guy still lived, but he was pretty bad. And so Scorpio's saying self-defense and they're going to court and all this stuff is happening. But yeah, the fact that he was even in that situation is very unfortunate, man. Yeah. Yeah. Very, very unfortunate for everybody involved. Pro wrestling pension, baby. Grapple geekery says walked into the usual empty space. I listen to you guys on my phone and while I hobby, there was a knitting club in there and I didn't bring headphones. Walking into a knitting club and here and filling red is crazy. Like they probably were like, bro, cut that down. Cut that off. Cut that off. That's definitely how I feel in my old age when I walk in somewhere and they're not using headphones. But even when I walk somewhere and people are playing stuff out of there, whatever beats pill or whatever speaker, I'm just like, dude, cut that off. I felt like I'm 85 years old. How mad I be and it'd be loud to I'm like, yo, turn that down. Yeah, I just walked past a guy a few days ago sitting at the bus stop and I could hear his music all the way up the street and I was like, why is his music so loud? And it looked like he had a suitcase with the stand propped up so he can wheel it around with him. And when I got closer to it, I was like, it's not a suitcase. That's a speaker. He's sitting here with a whole big dumbass speaker. Music at the bus stop. I was like, what is this, bro? So car sir, big dog. This is like, no, he got a secret. No, he got a speaker dog. I don't need no suitcase. I need the bumps. That's why. Dreddy says, help settle debate between my bro and I, who got the better elbow drop, HbK or macho? Shout out to Reg a fellow pedestrian city to the town, SF to Oak. Shout out to Dreddy, man. I appreciate that. HbK or macho, man, I love Shawn Michaels on the grace of all time, but you can't get a better elbow drop than Big Mox. Right. Smatch it, man. Come on. Big Mox, man. Like he's known for that elbow drop and macho, man, if you watch some of those back was killing for us. No, he has one of the best, he has best one of the best elbow drops of all time. Yeah, I feel like that's the most mimic elbow drop across the land. Like the most mimic double drop in the history of elbow drops. Yeah. Not a lot of people that get up there and do his whole time, everything before they do it. One of my favorite wrestlers does it every time I'm like that elbow dropped on the great, but it's not the best. But not macho, man. Come on. Everybody does this. That's like a macho, man, bit that's like wrestling. That's a universal wrestling thing. Yeah. Did you see people going hearted other Oakland representative Steph Curry because he was tired of hearing not like us? I did see that. Of course, it's like getting coalition. You know what time he's on? Like he don't want none of that. He don't want no Kendrick Lamar. He's on Drake's side. So I understand, but like maybe not the time. Steph, you got to read the room, you know? But I even think he's on Curry's. Oh, no, not Curry. But I don't think he's on Drake's side. I think he's just like, oh, this song's again. Yeah. There are things I read from it that thought were funny. Of course, LeBron was like, I'm not tired of this song. Of course, you're never going to say anything that goes against what the populace likes because you want to be liked. But and he knows they're filming right now. Exactly. He looked right at the camera, like, no, I love this record. I love this song. He bit my bit. I love the learning tree. No, of course, but I thought it was I thought it was weird that I saw people going, man, he hadn't moved the culture out here at all. I was like, all right. Steph Curry hasn't moved the culture. I saw people doing that too. I was like, are we looking to step for hip hop? That's it. But like, what step has done for the Bay Area? Let's leave. Come on. You guys like this guy changed the whole we talked a billion times about how he changed the face of basketball and the game like there's murals built like people pray to this guy in Oakland, California. Come on. Yeah. You think the Bay gonna let you disrespect Steph? I guess so. They might actually. Yeah. Depends on the situation, I guess. Yeah. No, Steph, the shooting, you know, shut up in dribbles. What they say? The game is cold, man. The game is cold and still not tired of not like us. I don't be hearing as much as people be saying they hear though. Like, I don't hear it 75 times a day. You open your phone and look at something random on TikTok or Twitter. It's it's it's still everywhere. Yeah. Yes, boy says, Will versus MJF was making me Tama Tonga noises. Making me make Tama Tonga noises. No, when he does that in the camera every time they do those little exclusives after bloodlines walking up the ramp, it's funny every time to me. I initially was like, what is this? Why is he doing it? But now every time he does it, I laugh at it. And it might be just a testament to just how great Tama Tonga is and how charismatic he is. But every time he does it, I bust up laughing now. It's really, really funny to me. I think with the addition of Jake, it like makes it better because when it was just them, when it was just soloing him, it was like, all right, but now that they have like the whole squad, it really fits. It I think that you're right because the clip I saw of Jacob walking up the ramp, he's just like, hell yeah. Yeah. And then all you see is him in the camera. I think it's because they think I thought that Jake was going to come in as that role as like not going to talk. He's just going to be growling and shit. They're like, no, we'll have Tama do that. And then, you know, Jake will just be doing this thing. You know what? Guess what turns out to guys that were part of a very popular stable are great as a part of an ensemble. Like this works. Go figure. Who the fuck it? Big surprises over there. You try something and then it works. Yeah, I wasn't trying to get as many jokes off on Saturday. But I did see a lot of really funny ones. Those people that were saying, talk a little with the shooter. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I got chill out. People that were like, yeah, he talked a little bit to get. I was like, yo, all right, man. There's got to be a line, right? Yeah, no, there was a couple and I was like, I got to get off the internet because this is crazy. Yeah, no, some of these jokes were pretty funny. Tenrose also says Denise got to leave media man alone. She does. She was piling on with the people watching blackish and amber rose slash diddy on a couple Epps was wild to see. Shout out DJ had an E Wilson. Hilarious. Yeah, amber rose, Phil. Yeah, man. That white side jumped out, didn't it? She said, this is me. What's the Kanye line where he was like, amber told my homeboy, I don't care what happened. I ain't never going back to Philly. I bet you're not. I bet. I see. For what? The people, man. Fame is famous. Fame is a drug. Is it money or is it the fame is more than the money? Because this is what is sicko time? Come on. You got it. We can see you. I think she knows. He's like, yeah, that's why. And then Shout out first says G1 back question mark. Yeah. Yeah, G1 is back. Night one kicked off this morning. I stayed up to watch it. I don't know if my cohost did. Let's sleep. Let's just sleep. I don't even know. We'll start last night. He looked around like, wait a minute. There was homework. Me. I saw a team you talk about to catch. I'm like, Oh, shit, that started. But yeah, G1 did start. I thought it was a fun night one for the for New Japan. New Japan has been in a, it's been a transitional period because you know, they lost one of their biggest stars in Osprey and then lost their top guy and Okada. So just like, how are they going to pick up the pieces? How are they going to transition and rebuild their main event scene? And then they had a few shows this year that were, you know, not the best. The New Japan Cup was a, was a rocky ride. So coming into G1, I was like, all right, this field looks good. Hopefully we get some fire matches then. I thought night one was very good. Open the night with Oleg who used to be a young lion. He's now graduated up. He has, he has gear now. He has entrance. He comes out with a big winner hat on. I like, I like Oleg a lot. And he just seems like he's primed to be a big player. I feel like he's eventually going to be like a never open weight champion or something soon. And he feels like he fits perfectly in kind of that weight clash slash title division. Yeah, totally. When they announced that he was going to be a part of it, the buzz that was kind of around it, and they need guys like this that are like fresh and kind of going to give a different perspective. I think he's going to do pretty, pretty big even with not winning this thing, you know? Yeah, but it did pick up the win in the first match of the night against Renorita. Really good to see him get that second match. We got Caleb Newman taking on a show to Umeno. Caleb is kind of like sort of the heir apparent seemingly after Osprey with the United Empire. He still comes out of does the crown. He has the same colors. He's coming out with the flag and everything still. He does, does an ice cutter as his finisher. So seems like he's kind of carrying that on since Osprey's left. And so going into this, I said, Oh, well, Sheldon's probably going to beat this guy. Show the loss. And to be quite honest with you, I thought Caleb resurrected a better match. I thought he looked, I thought he looked great. Really in the first four matches, those four young, I mean, first two matches for those four young guys looked really good. But I thought that Caleb worked a better match here. And he, he definitely looked more hungry. He put out a win. Are they doing like a adversity thing with shoulder? Or what do you think with the angle they're taking here? I'm not sure. We're in a very odd spot with shoulder. I don't think he's got the presentation and everything nailed down yet. And I think that once he gets that, he's going to be off to the races. Because even when he came out and he's still like trying to fist bump all the crowd walking around. And I'm just like, cool. You're a nice guy. Get to it. But he's nice. Yeah. And so yeah, it's tough for me to figure this out. We've seen them do this without a guy's night. Oh, traditionally starts slow. He loses a bunch of matches and then you'll go on a street. So maybe Shoda will, you know, get kicked around a few times and then go on a tear and start winning some matches. But in this first match, I was like, man, what's going on? Like, I want to see it, man. It feels like the the stone cold interview where he's talking to Ambrose. He's like, give it to me. Give it to me. I want to see it. And that's where I'm at with Shoda. It's like, bro, I really like you, man. I think this guy's really talented. But come on, man, give it to me. Show me. Show me what you got. But then every time I hear it explained out loud, like when I saw the match of Moxley, and then I thought about it and thinking about it here, I'm like, that's kind of his bit, though, like he he's the nice guy that's like down and he comes from comes from behind and wins in the end type deal. So it might be that. Yeah, it's kind of where he shines the most. Yeah, but yeah, both of those two young guys picked up a statement wins. Good win for Ole good win for Kayla Newman. Then we've got Hanaare taking on LP. Hanaare is super dope to me, man. His presentation, the face tattoo and everything. I think his music is super hard, man. Big Hanaare fan, current never open weight champion. And also big fan of LP. I think he's a fantastic baby face. He's transitioned well from bullet club. And so this kind of felt like it could have gone either way for me. I thought it was a very, very fun match. But Hanaare picked up the W. Is Hanaare going to win this whole thing? I don't see it. I don't think so. I do think he's going to be a big player in this, though. I think he's going to show people what he's got. And he did in this match. He threw LP around quite a bit. It was kind of back and forth at one point, but towards Hanaare, just ran off with that thing. I think he's going to have a great showing in this tournament, too. But the runs he's been having in the last six or seven months, and all the matches have been hitting hard. This is perfect for him. Yeah, he had a really gutsy stretch in the match. And so when he lost, they had the camera angle of Hanaare, like yoking up and racing. Like, yeah, you could see LP in the background in the corner, like kind of moping like, man, I don't want this to go the same way that the G1 went for me last year or other tournaments. I got to get going. And so I'm rooting for LP starting slow, but I'm still rooting for a guy. Then we got my pick to win the whole thing, Zach Sabre, Jr. taking on great old kind and a pretty strong match. There was a lot of grappling and brawling down to the crowd. Then it broke down into the technical wrestling. I thought it was a lot of fun. Yeah, Zach Sabre, Jr. is probably primed. He's one that talked the most about winning this and going on the Wrestle Kingdom and winning the championship. That's, I feel like they, what we talked about of them needing new stars, them needing a new direction with new Japan. Zach Sabre, Jr. feels like a ready-made guy. You could put him in all these positions, haven't win this, haven't win the title, and he'll be a big star off of it. Yeah, definitely rooting for him to pick up this win. Great O'Con started as kind of a joke wrestler for a lot of people, but he'll then have matches like this where he shows he can really wrestle too. Straight O'Con. Great. Great O'Con and Vegas still legendary. Totally. I think about that often. I'm like, man, great O'Con was out here. He was outside, but he got outside as hell. And we got a big boy Jeff Cobb taking on Heroki Godo. This was pretty much what you would expect from a Jeff Cobb match. These guys were slamming at each other at high speed, tossing each other around. Really, really fun match. Jeff Cobb did this cool transition towards the end, into the tour of the islands. One of the best finishers in wrestling currently to meet with Jordan Islands. The tour, he puts on it. It looks so cool. That little bit of time where Jay was doing, I was like, man, it's just a cool finisher. It is a really cool move. I think at the end of the day, and the way that he uses this power kind of effortlessly, and he sometimes hits it out of nowhere, it's like, no, Jeff Cobb's one of those guys. They'll need that one-on-one Joe match, you guys. And Nari's another one. After watching, I was like, Nari versus Joe is sick. But yeah, this was this was a great kind of big man fighting spirit match. Really loved it. Godo comes outside when it's G1 time. No, he definitely, bro, when he gets in the tournament, man, he turns into a different guy. That's why I love about the tournaments with Japan, is that there are certain guys where you see them in certain roles throughout the year, but then when they get in this tournament, it's like, oh, no, that guy, that guy, the Hooper man. Right. That's why he's in need. That's why he's been in need Japan for so long. Right. We got a fairly relatively new new Japan guy, Jake Lee, taken on Sonata. Jake Lee came over from Noah. He's the newest member of the war dogs. He had a new presentation, new music. He looked great. I thought this was a great way to showcase him in the tournament. Sonata was kind of wrapping him up doing doing the usual Sonata offense and had him on the ropes. I was like, wait a minute, this guy going to lose in the first round to Sonata. I mean, it's Sonata, so I wouldn't have been shocked. But then out of nowhere, he hit this very sudden comeback and hit him with the FBS in the corner and picked up the win. I was like, wow. All right. But I like to the presentation a lot. I thought the I think the change of pay for Jake Lee is going to work. They need more guys like him in their main event scene. I think it's a good addition to the company. What a, I don't want to say fall from grace, but things are very different from Sonata at this point, right? He was an IWG champion at one point here. I want to say it was a fall because this was a this was a good match. I thought he did well in a new Japan cup. But I think it's going to take a while for him to rebuild himself back up with the audience. Because for some people that IWGP title line wasn't good. And I didn't mind it, but he got a lot of flack for that run. So it's going to take a minute to get some fans back. I feel like he could do it though. He got stan. Yeah. We also got a Yu-Yo Mora taken on David Finlay. David Finlay. Man, he's such an interesting topic because as a character, I just find him incredibly boring. Especially compared to a lot of the guys he's around. Now you got him standing next to Jake Lee, and immediately I'm like, hey, that guy is kind of intriguing. And then of course he's standing next to Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors, all these other guys that I really like. And I'm just like, this is the only guy out of the group that I'm just kind of like, eh, that's boring. But with that said, the style he wrestles, this guy is still a good wrestle. He kind of dominated Mora for the most of this match. Even when Mora started bringing his comeback and started firing up, he still would come back and start kind of like beating him down. And every time I see this guy have these kind of matches, I'm like, oh, yeah, that's the appeal of using this guy to heal. That's the appeal of putting him in this kind of J White role, where I don't think he's as good of a wrestler as J White. I don't think he has the same appeal in the ring as J White, but as a heel and as a guy that can, you know, make other guys look good coming from behind, I get it. I mean, he is a family that is like, you know, yeah, this part of part of what his dad's appeal was, is like, just get him in there and fight there. I think that's the only thing that kind of is the disconnect for me too, is like the character beyond like the ring work is good. I like it. But like, when he's, like you said, next to Gabe Kid, I'm like, dude, what? Like, these are two different planets of characters. Like, I want this guy to win. And I don't care at all about this other guy does. So it's interesting to see. But like, New Japan is still pretty strongly behind David Finley. So it's like, yeah, we're going to continue to see it. Yeah, I thought the final stretch of this match was really, really good. Finley hit him with two buckle bombs, hit him with a buckle bomb. And as he was trying to get him up, he immediately got up and hit him with another one. I was like, oh, looks like hurting for this guy. And I didn't know where Moore rolled him up, got a reverse horror kirana and got the pen and got an upset win. I was really surprised that big win for Moore. Uh, he's one of those guys that are one of those young up in commerce, I think needed this win. And I thought he looked great here. That's great. I mean, they continue, they have to continue to build up more of these young guys. And Moore has been, he was on his scurgeon for a long time. He's one of those guys that this G one, he has a really strong showing in this than the rest of the year, I think it'll be pretty big for him too. When you see this, uh, this matching the card, I'm sure they're going to be like, uh, well, where's this going? We got evil taking on Gabe Kid, which I was just like, this is an interesting mix of talent. Um, you know what you're going to get out of an evil match at this point. Um, but I actually thought this is one of the better evil matches this year. Um, it started the way you would figure a gave kid came in and evil, trying to beat him down. Uh, they fought outside of the ring and then evil slid in the ring and tried to win via count out. Um, Gabe got some big gave kid chance throughout this match. He's very popular with that crowd. Um, go figure this guy is very likable at the moment. Yeah. And the match itself, once they got going, once it wasn't just shenanigans, I thought it was very good. Uh, the last two minutes of it were what you'd expect from an evil house of torture match. Dick Togo got involved. Uh, and he helped evil pick up the win. I wasn't a fan of the interference stuff, but the match as a whole, I really liked it. Is it going to be this formula for evil matches throughout the whole tournament? Cause if so, Oh God. Exciting to, to, yeah, exciting to hear about a gave kid though, because I think that it's great to see that it's translating over in Japan as much as it is in America. Cause he's super over in here. That's funny. Cause he's not even a full time American based wrestler. So it's great to see that it's working so well over there. Um, but yeah, if it's going to be evil shenanigans this whole time, it's going to be tough. Uh, yeah, I would expect that that's where we're going with that. Cause that's what you get out of a house of torture matches. And, but I thought it was, I thought it was good. Um, I think, um, based on the match ups, you can still get some evil matches. That was, uh, at least the thing I took away from this, that the crowd was hot. Um, gave kid was super duper confident. He looked great here. Um, and they had a strong match. Uh, but yeah, don't, don't tempt me with a, a gave, with a gave kid win here and then take it away. I suppose that's what they're going to do with the evil match. I suppose that's what they're going to do with the evil matches. Anyway, you're supposed to root for the other guy. And it's very much did get you hype for, for gave kids. So in the same way with the Finlay match, it did make you care more about gave kid coming away from the match, but evil picked up the lane the same way that it usually does with interference, which is fine. Uh, but the match that most of us were here for match, most of us pulled up this show for, and it did not under deliver. Uh, Suji taking on Knosuke to Kesta. I knew what time it was when to Kesta came out with his dt, dt theme. He had like the same kind of presentation. I was like, yo, we might have to have a conversation about just the way he's used over there and the way he's used here, because the second I saw this, I was like, yo, can we just have this again? Because this is the Kesta that I want to see regularly. Um, he, he came out looking hot. This match was incredible. Usually the best match of the tournament so far, um, high bar to stand up to after this one. Um, very, very good match. The match of the night, that's the one to seek out. Yeah, if, if you are like, I don't want to watch the G one, usually these things are too long. Uh, give me the matches that I should see. Go out of your way to watch this match. Suji and to Kesta was incredible. Um, the, the final stretch of it was man, the, the strike exchange, the pins, just man, so, so good. I, I, I would go on to say like this is one of my favorite matches I've seen this month with all of the matches we've seen this month. Uh, the, the dynamite match we'll get into and a bunch of stuff. This was very, very good. I knew to Kesta was going to go over there and cook because he has like kind of like a point to prove, but then it's just to Kesta in Japan. It's like when you're at home, it's a lot easier to do your thing. I'm excited to see this match and Suji. Uh, I think is another one that they have a lot of stuff in life has a lot of potential and this tournament is going to do wonders for him. Yeah. Um, all of the simple things this guy does and he makes them look better than other guys. Um, the, the German he does, it just always looks clean. He did this deadlift at one point to try to get Suji up and Suji is a very big guy. It did. And man, it looked like he was like, this looked like he was picking up a cruiserweight. It looked like it was nothing man. It was crazy. Uh, these two big guys did a super spent Spanish fly at one point and I was like, these are two very, very tall guys to be trying to blow up this spot. And man, it looked great. Uh, the final stretch of, uh, it looked like Suji was going to pick up the wind. There was a lot of emotion and struggle towards the end of this match. But, uh, to Kesta picked up the W here, big W for, uh, Knowskate to Kesta. Wow. Um, hoping we see some more of that in this, you want to see him get some more big wins. Um, and take some of that cache and either come back to a W at the house of fire or maybe see some more of him in do Japan. I wouldn't be mad at it. That's super exciting and unexpected result. I think off of that too. Um, to Kesta is one of legit the best wrestlers in the world when he's just giving the opportunity to. I hope that he continues to kill in this tournament and then gets back to AEW and has given the chance to do it over here too. Yeah, I was watching it as well thinking Zach's my pick to win, but I wouldn't be mad to catch the win again. I don't think that he will based on what we know about Japanese politics and, and these kinds of things, but, uh, I wouldn't be mad at him winning man. At very least, man, I want to see him get a good run in this G one. Um, this, this match was very encouraging. Yeah, exciting stuff. Um, the main event was Shingo Takagi taking on the IWGP world champion, Tetsuya Nido. Um, Nido is coming into this match with, uh, some allegations on his back of him being washed. Um, and a lot of them. I, I don't think that he came away from this match necessarily ducking these allegations. I think he looked good in this match. I think he pulled off a very good Destino at one point that came out of nowhere, but for most of this match, Shingo was beating this guy. He's hitting him very hard with Larry. It's, um, hitting him very hard with forearm strikes. Um, Tatsu came around, but the story of this, of course, is that Shingo has yet to beat Nido, who's the leader of, uh, L. I. J. And, uh, that was kind of a struggle towards this end of this match to keep this power dynamic in place. And Shingo picked up the win, big win for Shingo. Um, like I said, he gave Nido a beating. Um, at several points, I was like, man, fight back to the champion. That's how funny. Uh, but Nido, Nido looked good here, but also Shingo is just, you know, younger, hungrier. He just looks like you can build around this guy either. He, he's another option where if sack doesn't win, I wouldn't be mad at him winning either. I got some pretty good options in this tournament. Do you think it's just we'll never like Nido is who he is. He has hit that level and will never get the old Nido or whoever people think they want. Uh, Nido's definitely at that legendary spot where it doesn't matter how good the match is. He's just over at this point. His fans are going to support him no matter what. And, uh, he's, he's come so far as like the ultimate underdog for people. So even if he doesn't have the best showing, it's just like, it's Nido and who cares. Like he, he's, he's, he's in that echelon at this point. It doesn't matter. I, of course, I'm still a big Nido fan, but, uh, the Forbidden Door match didn't leave the best taste of a lot of people's mouths. I thought this match was better than the Forbidden Door match, but, um, I think a lot of people are still going to have similar questions about Nido, but it is what it is, you know, while the time is undefeated, man, Nido is getting up there. He's, he's giving us some great moments, giving us great matches. Uh, but that's also why they've got to start rebuilding that main event scene and really, uh, focus on on guys like Shindo or, or Suji or, or, or Yuya, whoever it's going to be, you got to build up those next guys. And they have it. They have the, they have the next crop of guys that you can build on. They've just got to just got to get to it. Yeah. Nido might be one of those guys of, uh, to get to the glory, to get to the IWG championship was so long. And he went through so many epic battles where he was destroying people or getting destroyed that when he finally got there, it was, I don't want to say a little bit past time, but they, by the time he got there, he was already dead pretty much. And it was like, when now he's like the champion and he's just like, you guys, I'm here. I'm the champ. I'm going to run off the legacy of what I built to get here. And I'm not mad at it, man. You deserve it. Like, for what you did for this company, you kind of put it on your back when things were looked crazy, like you got to be rewarded for that. And if you're going to come through and, you know, be Nido for the rest of your career, do it. Yeah. Um, yeah. Nido still, I don't, I'm not expected. I'm not taking no slander on the goat. Come on, bro. Like, but it is what it is. Like I said, time is undefeated. Uh, we've got night two coming up. Um, tonight tonight, tonight, that is the course of thing with the G one, you have consecutive nights. And I understand people are like, I don't want to stay up. I don't want to watch this one. But as a sicko, I probably in this round, we got a Sonata taking on Kayla Newman to open the show. That should be a good one. Kayla Newman is coming out for a big win, of course, in the first round. And Sonata's coming out for loss. It should be interesting to see how both of those respond got a bow and olek taking on anari, which that sounds like it's going to hump big boys, big, big boys got gait, greater kind, taking on gait kid. I would suppose the gait kid is going to respond well and get a win after it's lost in the first round. Uh, both of those guys don't have a win yet. Neither of those guys have points, but I think gait kid is going to pick up the day. Um, LP similarly doesn't have any points taken on Randa Rita, also lost his first round match. Then we have, uh, very interesting one, Jake Lee is going to take on evil. Um, very interested to see how that goes, uh, the presentation and everything in that match. I think that can be a strong match. Um, got a go-doh taken on Amura. Um, Shingo will be taking on Shoda Umano. Very excited to see how that goes. Uh, I've already seen some people saying, Shoda, you got to show us something in this match. Uh, but this is the right guy to have that match against. I think he can have a very strong match against Shingo and quickly turn things around. Um, Shingo, I don't know, man, there's got to be a tough one for Shoda. I think, uh, Shingo could easily go 2-0 after this match. Yeah, Shingo is one of those four shoe, like they say, Shoda, we need more. Shingo's going to force you to show more because he's going to beat your ass. Yeah. Um, also got Sac Saber, you know, you're taking on Naito. They, of course, have very storied matches. Um, if I remember correctly, didn't Sac beat Naito to win the New Japan Cup? Mm-hmm. Uh, so, uh, that was, that was one of my favorite Sac Saber runs when he had, uh, we had the manager and everything. Mm-hmm. And, uh, Taka used to come out with a "you just top out" loved it. Uh, uh, and that's also when Zach was getting his shit off. He was doing all of the, all of the cursing, getting all of his, uh, all his bars off, loved that period for him. Um, very curious to see how that matchup is going to go this time around. Um, I suspect that Sac Saber is going to wrap this guy up in a bunch of holes, put this guy in hell, but it might be, it might be a, uh, hard two nights for Naito. Uh, two losses in a row is crazy for that of your GP champion. Um, yeah, I'm not sure if he may lose two in a row, but of course his Naito and Naito, I feel like does this every time to us. He'll come out and he'll lose a bunch of matches and then all of a sudden he'll turn into, uh, he'll turn into that guy once, uh, the fourth quarter starts. Uh, but the main event will be Yoda Suji taking on David Finlay. Uh, I don't know what to make of this one. A very interesting matchup, but, uh, Suji is looking for his first win. Uh, Finlay also took that loss to Yoda Mora. So, we'll be cool to see who comes out of this with the W. Mm-hmm. Pretty strong card tonight too. Yeah, very strong card. Um, like, so that night one was very fun. Uh, great way to start off the tournament. Um, it seems crazy, but every time we get to G one season, it tells you how fast the year is going because once the G one starts it, we're starting to get into the row to Russell King already. It's like, well, wait a minute. 2024 is almost over. This year is flying by you guys. Like, it's already July 20th today, like after years already over. Like, what's going on? Yeah, it's scary. Yeah, crazy. G one, baby. That's exciting. I'm going to probably watch the one tonight. Uh, let's get into a couple of more super chats and maybe we'll get into some hunger chats too. Uh, Dreddy says, I know y'all don't f with the dead man like that, but it's recent podcast with Midian and godfather of peer comedy. Midian said he wrestled in WWF on acid. Somehow does not surprise me. I'm not surprised at all. That makes a lot of sense. I actually did watch a little bit of the, uh, godfather and undertaker one earlier this week, and it was really funny. A lie. Um, yeah, I mean, you know, it's not so much that I don't mess with taker. Uh, taker actually got me into wrestling. Um, but it's just, you know, towards the end of his career, it could take her to be some of the taker matches and some of the political stuff I wasn't a big fan of, but you know, taker's so legend, man. He's still, he's still a guy that has a lot of, wisdom. He still, he, it's interesting seeing him in this chapter of his career where people want to talk to the guy behind the character because I'm so used to him keeping up the illusion. Um, so just the idea of him having a podcast just sounds crazy. Um, but I get it. I thought of all the guys that would have that could have a podcast and features like he can't though. Like you have to protect that character to the end. So it's still weird of like watching a show and he's like, yeah, then I tombstone the guy. Then that night we drank 40 beers and it's like, what bro, he's doing YouTube. He's doing the YouTube, uh, face now. He's doing this. Dog's doing she's dead. I'm like, damn, I'm not a child. Childish can't be nose gone. It's over. It's just Mark now. It's just Mark now. Shout out to me, Mark. You out there getting money. One dead man shows crazy. There he does like a million of those a year. Like dogs, uh, capitalizing off that undertaker gimmick. Uh, grapple geek, geekery says I packed up and headed out to run errands, though. Oh, yeah. Probably should get out of there. Uh, Tenruza says, uh, grabsity, live guest goals, Rick Ross, the bigger picture crew ricochet, Kendrick, Westside gun, Michael Okoo, Ruckus, Reg the non track aspire, favorite R&B albums. A couple of those are doable. A couple of those, uh, very ambitious. You are shooting for the fences on some of those, man. Listen, I would love to get a bunch of those, but some of those are, uh, swing it for the fences, buddy. Uh, we've interviewed Michael Okoo. We did have Ruckus on in our first year, didn't we? Was that our first year? Yeah, I think that was it. We didn't have those guys on live, but we've interviewed both of them. Um, yeah. Rick, I would love to, but like, let's come on. You know, interview with nobody. Uh, ricochet is definitely a guy I would love to have on at some point. Uh, favorite R&B albums. Uh, the one 12 album that can't, the one with like Peaches and Creme and all that. I used to play the hell out of that album. I think it came out in 2001. I don't want to age myself here, but that's the game for talking about R&B albums. What a time, man. I'm saying, man. Uh, I don't know if you watched it, but that NPR tiny desk with SWV, man. Oh, I haven't seen it in full yet. Fire, man. Um, they still sound incredible. Voices still sound amazing. Um, they got a bunch of hits, man. So many. When they were going through all of their records, uh, man. So forget, huh? Um, at one point, uh, they're doing like the, the set monologue and they're talking about, you know, they got in trouble for this record. And, but, you know, we were always known as women for letting you know what we want. And they got into you're the one. And I was like, oh, you're the one was like crazy dirty Mac and like, yeah. When you really think about the words of that song, that is kind of crazy. Like, yeah, I mean, a lot of nineties R&B is just dirty Mac. And so that's the game. I guess the R&B in general. Not telling, telling the guy you're, you're the one and they're, they're in a relationship. Like, that's crazy. It's a game. Yeah. Come on, man. What's your girl? Don't know what heard up. That's crazy. All time great R&B record. I'm not to watch that. No, very, very good. Um, I have drawn a blank favorite R&B album. So many. Oh, confessions, I guess, if we're talking about, um, honestly, it's probably the one. Very good choice. I don't know if that's my favorite. Usher. Usher. Usher. I forgot a lot. He's another one. I don't know if I have a favorite R&B album. I'm having a hard time coming up with them. Right. We'll get back to it. Ask us about on Ask Graph City. Berkop says, uh, happy graphs are they watching the newbies to wrestling and the IWC realized their faves were pro Trump really cracked me up. I don't know what they expected. Yeah. A lot of them are hiding it and some of them stop hiding it though. Yeah, that's what, uh, Hogan told you when he got on the stage like, well, when they tried to take Donnie out, I had to let y'all know where I stand. Y'all needed to hear my voice when they try to take my president out. Y'all needed to hear my voice and like, dude, yeah, bro. I just, my president, my man said, my hero. Yeah. And like, you, we know, like you're talking like, we like your voice like, what's hope? I wonder what Hogan thinks. I know where you stand. You don't have to say, you don't have to stand on stage and talk about it. Yeah. Uh, uh, scary. Uh, but yeah, there were some of those that was like, guys, you, you knew this, right? You know, there were a few of them that was like, you guys didn't know. Okay, cool. Um, I feel like they've been trying to let you know and they've been trying, but, you know, I was very surprised. Uh, and I did laugh like a forgot that a certain people that were like, this guy and I'm like, what? You know what I mean? Like, yeah. Um, it was a bunch of them weren't even surprising like, yeah. Well, yeah. But you know, teach their own. Dreddy says, next guest got to be big stoke dog. I've been trying. Uh, yeah. That's all I'm going to be a fun guess. Mm hmm. That's all of us. That's all of our super chats. Appreciate y'all. Uh, let's get into some humper chats. So will this, uh, that's still turning for me? It's it's loading them. Come on, man. Come on. Will the morality turn, turn, turn, turn. Tell us the lessons that we should learn. Still turning. Uh, got it. So let's see, uh, we got, we got some humper chats. Of course, appreciate you guys as always. You want to send us your humper chats, humper chats.com/fightful. We've got two here from our do it. He says for grabs, happy grabs today. Y'all focusing on a G1 because the rest of the world is effed. Uh, Hinari is dope as fuck. Uh, that match with, uh, goak and Zach's neighbor was fantastic. Don't really watch new Japan. I go, uh, was supposed to, supposed to be a meme. Um, oh, Gretel Khan, he sent, uh, thought Gretel Khan was supposed to be a meme, do legit rocks, those, those throws. Oh my fucking god. Yeah. That's what I was saying. Like this guy started out as a joke, but, uh, when you give him a chance, he does have like some great match. Right. Uh, another one from our do we said also again on new Japan questioned about United Empire is I spray still in charge even though he's an AW or is there a new leader? They haven't established a new leader. Uh, I don't know. They haven't really established a new, new leader yet. They're still a stable. Uh, Hinari still wears the colors. Uh, TJP still there and there, and there as well. Um, I don't know. I don't think he's leader technically. He doesn't ever reference it. He still comes out and does the hand gesture, but he doesn't ever really talk about it. Maybe it's just like spiritual. He's a spiritual leader. You know what I mean? Like he's not the leader in here. He's not going to be here. Never going to see him again, but like he still represents it. And like when he gets away from Don Callis, eventually they're going to get it back together in AW. I think so, right? Yeah. I mean, Cough Fuller doesn't wear the colors at all anymore. Uh, and AW. So I don't know. I don't know what the structure for that is. And I mean, even if you look at the way Osprey carries himself, his gear and everything, he doesn't really come out with the United Empire gear anymore. He doesn't even do the original United Empire heal theme anymore because he's not yelling anymore. He's a babysat. It's true. But yeah, I don't think they've officially established the new leader yet. There have been guys that kind of stepped up to the forefront, but I don't think anybody's officially leader yet. Right. Should they? Uh, I think they should. I think somebody should just go ahead and stand it as the new leader. Basically, if you're going to make it, continue to make it a unit in New Japan, you need somebody over there that's leading it. It's like, if Finn came over here and AJ never stood in his spotlight world bullet club, man, you need somebody that that stands in front is the leader. Sure. From Tony P, he says, uh, so why was Uncle AJ? Why has Uncle AJ been given a second patio week award by me? Of course, it was for calling out toxic fans for gatekeeping his move, which people have been using for years now as an homage to him. The jerks still tried to tell him he was wrong to fans are the worst. Yeah, fans are something else, man. Trying to explain to the wrestler why he's also wrong is insane. Yeah, what a turn in advance. I didn't think the internet could get there, but yeah, so based off of this, there's a transition spot they call it. They said that Osprey hit, uh, Styles Clash and everybody was mad. They didn't know it was mad. The creator himself of the Styles Clash came out and said, guys, shut up. I don't care. Like, that's cool that he did my move. Like, he's paying tribute to me. Like, what do you want? And people were like, no, but actually, like, how are you gonna, but actually the full back created the. But actually the guy that actually does the move. One of the, one of the best wrestlers we've ever seen is insanely like what he created this. And they're like, nah, you can't though. All right, man. Y'all got it. Yeah. Wow. Speaking of it, it could be a transition move also. That's just up for another day. I don't know, man. This is where we are. People use super kicks as transition moves. People use Canadian destroyers as transition moves. Like it's not that deep. I wish people would chill out. But yeah, speaking of AJ, AJ has been having quite a year. He was another guy at one point. People were trying to say my guy was washed. Oh, he's not really doing nothing no more. And you come out this year and had three very good matches. Yes. Three top quality matches, two title matches with Cody that I really liked. And then last week, he had the match with Barb Fuji. I didn't get a chance to see the match before we started recording. We did four hours of podcasting. So even if I watched it, I don't know where we've gotten time to talk about it. But I did get a chance to watch it. Very, very good match. Marafuji, of course, is a Japanese legend. This guy has been a junior heavyweight, every way he's gone. Multiple time heavyweight champion as well. He's kind of in that, he kind of had the same career trajectory when you think about it as AJ, where AJ started as like a flippy, lightweight guy. And then he eventually turned into a heavyweight. Yeah, this match was interesting because it was kind of like a mutual respect, both sides of the company. It feels like Noah had their pick of a good amount of WWE guys. And they were like, AJ Styles, we don't care who's out there. Can we have AJ Styles? They wanted him and Marafuji wanted the match. So I knew they were going to cook. And people try to put the washed allegations on my homie Marafuji. And I'm like, y'all don't even be, you can't see one match from a dude and you haven't seen another one in 15 years, but I always wash. That's not how that works. And people work different styles. They work different ways. I saw Marafuji work Titus Alexander at West Coast Pro. And he killed it. I'm like, oh, this guy still got it. So I knew going in with AJ was going to be crazy. AJ is huge. AJ has changed his style and he's been great for 20 plus years at this point, but to like essentially change your whole in-ring style and still be as great as amazing. Yeah, I wasn't sure if we're still going to get some of these matches. I mean, we're only what a year removed from the Shinsuke match last January. And I was kind of like, I don't know if we're ever going to see anything like this again. It seems like a one-off thing. It seems like they did it as a favor to Shinsuke because he really wanted to do the retirement tour with Mudo. And I was like, hey, this is kind of a cool thing. It's good. The wrestling is in this place that they allowed this to happen. But now we're getting more WWE guys going over there. I never thought we would get this match in Noah, AJ making his debut over there, pro wrestling Noah, as a WWE superstar. Crazy. Even when he was coming down, it was just having those, the clash of memories of him coming out with the mask and kind of his similar gear that he wore in New Japan, but also having his new WWE theme. I was like, okay. Immediately when you see him, I'm thinking of him in a dome or thinking of him wrestling in New Japan, but also with the Bullet Club theme or his theme from New Japan. And so I'm not the biggest fan of the WWE theme. I was like, man, we just bring it back down one, that's cool. Like I get it. I get like, you know, he's a heel. So he has like a heel theme now, but I'm like, I don't know, man, you could just give us back down one night. Well, do I feel like they change themes a lot more frequently now than they did? Like, I feel like it back in the day you have like two themes max and you're a dumb, like they'll change your theme, like nothing in WWE these days. And it's kind of weird. Yeah, it happens quite a bit. I was watching last night and I just was reminded like, I don't know. Nobody songs. The music is nice. Very great. But I digress. This match was very, very, very good. Marfouji, like you said, is not washed. Looked great out there as well. Boy them striking sequences they had. Boy, I mean, we've seen AJ do like the combo that he does, that little blitz of moves he does. But of course, Marfouji legendary strike combo he does. Those guys exchanging strikes, man. So, so cool. That sequence where they went into their combos and ended it with that paylay kick. Super hot. AJ faking Marfouji out to go for the 450, still catching those knees to the stomach. Man, the torture rack bomb he pulled out. Some of those moves that he's doing now, one black man, we've seen AJ pull out this arsenal in a minute. Right. Well, he can't now because he's buff. I mean, letting you know, man, this might be the last run. But just seeing this year and possibly seeing this being the last full time year, well, not even possibly it is the last full time year for Brian. And I got to assume AJ is going to start wrapping it up soon and seeing these guys still wrestle at a high level. Yeah, it's a blessing, man. It's really cool to see it, man. This match was really, really good. That finisher, man. Like I said, not only was this match good, but just watching that last stretch of them try to jockey for position to get the finisher. AJ was trying to fight into the style splash and Marfouji kept trying to fight out of it. He kicked out of it, rolled into a sunset and it looked like he was going to try and roll him up for a pin. The way AJ rolled out of this thing, looked incredibly smooth, rolled him up, power bombed him, got him back up, style clash, got the W. AJ is one of the best wrestlers of all time, man. Yeah, he just aren't away. He's still so great with those transitions, man. The way that he still creates moments like that to get into the style's clash is like, you're still coming up with creative ways to hit this is dope. Yeah, really, really good match, man. Go. Can't say enough good things about this match. It's one of my favorite matches this year. AJ has had at least two of my favorite matches this year. I think this match and the backlash match were exceptional. This is a funny kind of off of the that same night, there was a match. Our home girl, EO Sky was out in Japan. And what EO said after the match of like, essentially, like, I can't do this over there. So I did it over here. I was 100% over here because I can't be 100% over there. I was like, that's interesting. And then you see AJ over here. You're like, well, he don't usually he'll be wrestling like that a lot of the times in WWE just because he's not allowed. But it's I hope that this leads to more crossover in that direction. Like, I want to see more Fuji over in WWE now. I want to see, you know what I mean? Like, is it gonna go the other way? Uh, I don't know. Um, yeah, I don't know. But yeah, that is a good point that we we do see less constraints when guys go and wrestle some wealth. Cause I mean, man, that shins game match last year had people like, yo, wait a minute. Maybe y'all need to be doing more with this guy. Cause this match was incredible. And maybe shins not washed. And that pretty much didn't lead to much, but it was the same thing here. Like seeing AJ in the Budokan man, he looked great. And then like you said, the EO match with Tommy was very, very good as well. I think that's one of my favorite women's matches this year. EO, of course, is a legend in Japan. Yeah, credible run would start an ace of that company at one point, held just about every title there was to hold over there. And then Tommy, who had a great run in the same stable Queen's Quest is also excellent. Great young wrestler coming up. So this is a legitimate dream match. And EO brought it, man. EO's had good matches this year. EO is another one where I feel like the presentation and everything gets together. Love her theme. So every time I hear it, I'm like, man, that's one of the bangers. Her famous dope. Yeah. Do do results matter to you? Like because because like the initial thing when they announced these matches is always like, well, the WWE person's not gonna lose it. Neither one of the WWE persons lost. Did that does that matter? No, I mean, I don't think it matters with the story that they're telling with both of these two wrestlers. Because with the Utami thing, it feels like you could easily revisit this match somewhere down the line. And for her, you know, she idolized EO. EO was the one that started the faction that she got in and really made her claim to fame in. So it was kind of one of those, you know, getting past your mentor things and seeing Utami hang with her was the story, but her not being good enough quite yet to beat her. That's fine. That's the story. I don't think she needed to win this match or it's boss. I thought that the match was very good. I thought they both looked incredible. Utami's like, said incredible talent and EO is EO. I mean, those those transitions she was doing at one point where she was getting into her flips and like turning around and like posing for the crowd. I was like, nah, she's in her element, man. EO in Japan, different, different. But I want to see EO in Japan and America. You know, why can't I see that on Friday nights or Monday nights? Yeah, different, different. Yeah, I mean, it could have easily went either way, but I wasn't mad at it. I just, the match was really, really good. So I didn't come away from it. Like, no, EO's got to win. I mean, EO's got to lose. She got to build Utami up. It just didn't really matter to me. The match was so good that I didn't really care. It's gotcha. That makes sense. But yeah, excellent match. If you have not seen either of those matches, I would say try to pull those up. You can see the Mario Gold show on the Russell universe. And you can see the Noah match on the same place. So this is so weird, man. It still feels like like we're just talking about these matches just like casually on this podcast. But like, this is a huge deal, man. Like this wouldn't, this legit wasn't a thing for so many years. And those two matches happened on the same night. That's why we came in here last Saturday with all this stuff to talk about. And that morning we had those two big matches in Japan that I did, I'm like, when are you going to get enough time to watch both of these matches? I'm like, I got up this, I got up this morning and watched the G1 and then came in and did that. I couldn't imagine like having two screens up. But yeah, just to know that WWE specifically is doing that, even I'm sure there's some shady dealings behind it. It's still cool, man. Like CNA just styles and EO in Japan in big high profile matches. We're going to see more. I'm excited. Yeah. Yeah. The Mario Gold show in general was pretty good. We also got the Julia match with Sari. Wasn't quite as good as the EO match with Utami, but it was still a very strong match. A lot of talk around Julia again, as always. Yeah. Julia, of course, is coming back after the wrist injury. Sari targeted that injury throughout the match. The finish was a little anti-clap acting to me. It was fine, but it was a little bit like, okay, I think it felt like they were just starting to get going. And then they did the referee stoppage at the end. I was like, maybe they're afraid about Julia's wrist. And then I want to do too much. Yeah. But I mean, it was, I thought it was a very good match. It feels like this is probably like the first chapter. I feel like maybe we're going to get another one that Julia looked good. Of course, the story in this is not a Julia's healthy. When are we going to see her pop up over there and NXT? Let's talk about her a lot on the NXT show this week. Yes. A lot of stuff we saw as well with the Stephanie Bakker stuff was very interesting. She's talking about her a lot on the show on the internet a lot. Since I've learned a lot of stuff about Stephanie Bakker, Phil, that don't have to do with her. I'm like, why? Yeah. But you know how this goes when you when wrestling sign over there, this usually how this goes. But yeah, she's been on the internet a lot. I laughed up a storm at certain people going, oh man, they already treated her like a big deal. I'm like, she was on a house show. It's cool. I know it was in Mexico. Great. She was on a house show without show. See, this is how she pulls a trade or even though she doesn't have one to put her in against Mercedes. But yeah, she did a house show. Yeah, she's done 10,000 in Mexico like every Friday for like the last. Did a house show did the house show entrance with like some stock music hyped up the crowd. That was cool. But when I saw the internet trying to internet it, I was like, all right. Stop it. Cut it out, guys. Breathe. Let it breathe. Fab. Breathe. Oh, yeah. They're talking about both those women like two or three times in reference on NXT this week. So they're coming. Yeah. They got another big signing for the women, didn't they? Because every time I see it, that people keep putting up the graphic and it's three of them. It's it's Shuri, Stephanie. Oh, delta. Come on, man. That helped me. I had to do some Googles. Yeah. See, people in the chat are saying it's delta. Gotcha. Delta is a wrestler for Australia. Yeah, it's like, I don't know how that is. I can't get it. Somebody is going to be like, somebody's going to clip this and go see. You guys listen to those guys. They don't even know the roster. They don't even know what they're talking about. I need a video package. Simi is right, though. You can watch Mario Go pay per views on Russell universe. No pay per views are on a BIMA. Oh, cool. It's a lot of places to look for things. A lot of places to find wrestling, a lot of streaming platforms to buy and then pay for it. It's what it is. So many subscriptions to a bunch of stuff. Money money money money. Get back into some more of our Harvard chats. More from Tony P says, more wrestlers going get their toxic fans, please. Hello, it was funny seeing one toxic triple H stand account crash out when he blocked them. Which Roman would start doing that still love how the AW women went after a certain guy. He has never been right since. Yeah. No, that's always funny. When I see certain people going hard and they have certain wrestlers at their avatar and that that wrestler blocks him or something. That wrestler doesn't fuck with them. It's funny every single time. Yeah, very, very funny. I don't know the triple H stand you're talking about, Tony, but that sounds really, really funny. An AW women went after somebody, so a certain guy. I'll send you the video package for that one too. Might need a step stool so you can see it too. Tony P all shows this week where Matt didn't like how Dom Rhea story finished up this week. Wish he would still have suspicions about him. Cody is now a fucking stupid baby face. Bailey's reign has been sad. Like it seems like they only really care around many a season. The Dom Rhea story is not over. I think that they're lolling you into thinking that Dom is innocent in this. I very much think that he's going to side with live at the pay-per-view. He's going to help live with. I don't think we're done with this at all. I think this story is just getting started, I think. Yeah, I think this was just a way to make you think it's over, but I don't think it's over at all. Summertime is fast approaching. Yeah. The Cody thing I deeply don't like that we've gone back to Cody going out there and trying to fight for guys by himself because that was the whole point of the story going into WrestleMania is that he had friends now and they were going to help him. So he didn't have to keep doing that. And so it's wild to me that we've now seen three weeks in a row of this guy getting beat down by the same faction because he keeps trying to fight people by himself. Even at the start of this show tried to fight Austin Theory and Waller by itself and then he goes backstage and goes, "Hey, give me a match with those two guys." All of this is like, "Hey, you want a tag team partner? You're just going to go out there and handicap it?" Yeah. He's like, "But what do you mean? You're the champion. Why are you trying to fight two people by yourself?" Like, this doesn't make sense. Yeah, I don't know the direction that they went. It's been kind of unfortunate because that they went just exactly back to the bloodline stuff. When Roman was here, he was like, "We're beating Cody's ass every week. Same, same, same thing. Cody doesn't have any friends." The resolution is Roman shows up, but like getting there is slow walking. The dog has hell. They're getting over. You said bloodline, Jacob is killing it. They're doing it, but it just feels like they're rehashing the same things. Yeah. I don't need to see that same cliffhanger every week. Right. Then beating down Cody and standing tall and standing tall and standing into the camera with the fingers of like, "Yeah, we did that." All right, we've seen it. We saw it at one end of time. We did that. We've seen it, man. Cool. I also understand what they're doing. They're setting up this thing where every week, one of Cody's allies gets taken out. Randy Orton got taken out this week. This week, it was Kevin Owens got taken out. They're doing all of this. By the time he gets to the pay-per-view, he doesn't have any allies. All of the odds against him to be solo. I still think he's going to be solo, but I think if he starts to get beat down at the end, that's when we're going to get the Roman music in. Some people have reading or under the impression that solo is going to go over. No. I have no idea what it's going to be solo. I wish you had a title on solo. That's what I'm saying. That's dumb. Essentially, they just want to run back and then Roman has to beat solo, but I'm like, "That's dumb." Yeah. I don't see that happening. Yeah. If you read my article on Bleacher Report this week where I did my predictions for the bloodline for the rest of the year, I think that solo is losing here. I think part of, you kind of need solo to lose because that's the last claimed power that Roman has. It's like the thing that made him the Tribal Chief, the thing that gave him power was being champion. So if solo wins the belt, he no longer has any claim against solo. Solo is the Tribal Chief. That's the entire reason why he's challenging for the belt. So if he loses, despite a still in question, and that's why I'm like, it just makes no sense for him to just outright win. And you're going to build up this whole thing of Cody being the guy that beats Roman is currently the face of the company and then loses to solo. Yeah. I don't see that. It's confusing. I don't see that. Now, I could always be wrong. WWE has done weirder things, but I sure have. I don't see that happening, man. I think this solo is losing, and I think this is going to, the Pay-Per-View is going to end with Roman making his return. That's of course where he debuted at the Tribal Chief character in the Thunderdome. And so with Haman, well, didn't he team up with Haman and notice my amount after that? Because at first, he just came back and he was wearing the record. Oh, that wasn't when Haman came out and was like Roman's back. That was a different match. That was against Braun. Yeah, that was a different match. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking of. Yeah, you're thinking of the Pay-Per-View where he comes out and he signs the contract and then enters the match. But yeah, I don't see. Because the other part of it is, I think we're still teeing up Randy versus Cody for the title. They were laying it on very heavy in a promo where Cody was like, "That's my mentor. He's more than just that. He's family." And I was like, yeah, or it's definitely turning on him. It's definitely coming. It has to be with the championship too because that's what Orton wants. That's the only way to do the turn. Yeah, so I just don't see any way this solo went here. I'm like, "He shouldn't." No. No. The Bayley's run has been very amazing. She's active. I like about every week they're featured, but the content of what's being featured on. Yeah, I don't like not having her on Money in the Bank. I thought she should have had a title match. I don't like the way they're building her contenders. Having two pay-per-views after King and Queen of the Ring was a very interesting choice because you set up the King and Queen of the Ring at the top contenders, but they don't get a match until SummerSlam. So you've then taken all of the attention off of both of those contenders for two months until you get to the SummerSlam match because that's currently what happened with Gunther. Because it's kind of like Gunther feels like he got cooled down because you've had all this other stuff going on in between there. It feels like his King of the Ring win was like years ago. Doesn't wear the crown. He doesn't really call attention to it anymore. So it's like, "Oh yeah, he did win this big tournament and he's the top contender for this reason." But in the meantime, you've done all these other things with Damian Priest that it's kind of muddy to feel. And I feel like the same thing has happened with Bayley where you haven't done anything really with Bayley and I at Jack's. You've been trying to keep that few warm in the meantime, but it's kind of like it probably would have worked better if you just had that as the next pay-per-view match. Yep. Yeah, because that thing muddied it up as like they try to build other contenders instead of Nia and Gunther. And they're like, "Well, we know that Nia and Gunther are waiting in the wings." So it's like making it seem like the stakes aren't as high. And then they showed us that the stakes weren't as high. Yeah. You've also got Tiffany with the briefcase now. I thought that the briefcase thing last night was... I thought that that was smart. I thought having Bayley come out there and destroy the briefcase was a cool visual. Of course, that's leading to her coming back with the pink upgrade. The Barbie briefcase. Yeah, that segment was also kind of strange. The interview segment with her and Nia. I don't know. It didn't feel natural. It wasn't so much what both of them were saying. It just kind of felt like they both were waiting for this person to talk. And it felt very much like they were reading. It didn't feel like a natural conversation. Yeah, exactly. And it's... I understand what they're trying to do. They're trying to build the tension of if Nia wins, then Tiffany gonna cash in on her. Everybody kind of have eyes behind her head. But I don't know. Something is... Bayley isn't benefiting from everything that's going on around her. I feel she's like an afterthought. And that's continuously been the MO for Bayley. Feels like her whole WWE career. And it sucks because she's always working so hard. She never stops working hard, no matter what position she's in. Yeah. It's unfortunate. I think that she had a good storyline building up to this reign. But I don't think they followed through particularly well. I'm not a big fan of what's going on. That bumped that Tiffany hit, Meachin with the crazy Alabama slam on the outside. Yeah, that was crazy. Meachin picked up the big W over Tiffy last night. Shout out to Meachin getting a lot of TV time too now. Yeah, I thought it was very funny the face he was making and pointing to get the briefcase after broke. I thought that was very funny. Toni P says AEW250 was good but off. I knew Will, MJF were going to cook. Monet versus Rose was fun. Made you remember why you love Nyla. Swerve will kind of end it how we thought it was going to end. It was just that hour match made the show feel off. I win the main game. Also can people stop contradicting complaints just in general please. You could play about 50 for a pay-per-view then complain about a match because it's not on a pay-per-view. Jared should have won. Hangman should have won. Make it stop. I forgot we just came out of all of that Jared discourse. Every week it felt like something solves a lot. I don't know. Let's get into AEW dynamite. Shall we get into a feel? Were you expecting to see an Ironman match to start the show? I was not. I was surprised they did this match so soon. Yeah, me too. But they opened with Osprey versus MJF and we got an hour. You like it? I did like the match. I thought the match was very good. I don't think that it needed to be an hour. I think if you shaved a good 20 minutes or so off this match it would have been perfect. You could have achieved the same thing in 40 minutes for sure. Yeah, I think so. But I think it was a very good match. Surprise surprise from two very good wrestlers. Osprey has had probably four match of the year. Candidates are already possibly five. Seriously, if you come up with a list of the top matches this year, Osprey is going to dominate that match. When you just like start to think about like, oh, what does match? It's like Osprey that one. Oh, you have that other Osprey one. All that Osprey one too. It's like, yeah, he's going to dominate. But yeah, this was definitely one of the best AEW television matches. Definitely. It did feel like in that vein of a special way to start the show, kind of like Omega versus Brian. But when you make this like this landmark episode, you make a point of it being episode 250. I do think it took up a lot of time. I think so. The second half of the show felt rushed because of it. And there were other things where I was kind of like, all right, well, this is episode 250, you would expect like some kind of like celebratory celebration. They played that montage online. But I was like, hey, would have been cool to see this on TV because you haven't even seen that montage. That's how like they should have showed it on the show. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I think it would have been cool to get that on the show. But the match itself was tremendous. I thought these guys went out there and worked a very, very good match. I thought the way they worked the crowd was very, very good because the crowd was having a blast with this. Max is back in his element doing the stuff to get in boot. That crowd was booing the hell out of him. His interactions with the crowd were great. That kid that stepped in and started trying to help Osprey win. Very, very funny. Osprey's reaction to him like, no, no, no, no, no, no. I was just kidding kid. Hold on. Very, very funny. Then he proceeded to high five to kid afterwards. All of that stuff was cool. Then flighted out in the crowd. There was a stretch towards the end of the match where they were going a thousand miles per hour cooking. But that's why I'm saying like they were stretches of the match where there was a little bit of a lull. Not that it was boring, but I just felt like it just didn't need to be that important. That's it. I don't want to keep harpy going that because again, it was a very, very good match, but it just didn't need to be enough. I understand there were people this week that were like, oh, it actually flew by. It was it didn't feel like an hour match. And I'm like, that's the great thing about MJF. That's why he's such a talented wrestler. It's like his the way that they structured the match and the way that he'll have moments of, okay, we're going to be on the outside for this amount of time. And then we're going to be over there for this amount of time. The way that he structured it, that's why I didn't feel like such a long match. And that's why I'm not mad that it was a full hour. Kind of like the precedence in what AEW represents. We're the best wrestler. Like if we're showing where the best wrestle, an hour match of two of the best wrestlers in the world starting our show is a pretty good way to do it. But yeah, I kind of also stand on the side of where's the celebration though? Like you're telling me it's dynamite 250, but you're not showing me it's dynamite 250. Like there's been like this was a really fun match. I liked it, but like there's been two or three weeks in the last two months that are better shows than this that are better better better pace 200, you know, better shows what the whole of AEW represents than what this is. So it was just kind of interesting, you know, yeah, but it's a very, very good match. Amazing match though. Bit sub it felt a bit self indulgent. Max match, but it was what Max is very good at wrestling. Like his the spots where he interacts with the crowds, his charisma during the match is still hit. When he we duck down to that lariat and hit the strut on him and then turned around and then I spray hit it on him to very, very good exchange. That was funny. Very, very fun wrestler to watch. Very divisive guy. I knew when he came back and he cut that promo, I was like, all right, just go ahead and turn heel and get back to the bids. Get back to the old max. I feel you. So we got the turn and everything in Chicago. So I was like, all right, we're here. I didn't think we were going to get straight to this match, but it also fits the match trend of him doing something very healish and then getting a big match with a marquee guy on TV that goes long and then he eventually beat some and then it leads to a rematch. He did this with a punk. He did this with Cody. He's done this a few times. So it's like, all right, this this we've seen this before. So I was kind of playing along with MJF because his whole bit is which I also thought was kind of funny is I don't do none of that wrestling shit. Y'all got to come out here and kill yourselves. I could just talk on the mic and do what you do, but then he has an hour match with the lost break. He's so funny. You know what I mean? Like, his whole bit is like, you're a internet darling. You're one of those five star guys. I don't care about that knelt or shit. And then he goes and does a melted match just to like contradict himself. But like, that's a part of what the character is. Like he says, a few weeks ago, all Osprey cares about is melted ratings. I care about Nielsen ratings. I guarantee you the next time Osprey, the next time Max has a match, a mic in his hand, he's going to be like five stars that we got that Osprey and I got in the Western observer, even though he's not supposed to care. We'll see. Yeah, he's also a guy and character that tells you many times that he doesn't care about New Japan. That place sucks. It's a super indie. This was a very new Japan match. Like the way that it was worked. This was a very new Japan match. The finishes towards the end, the counters, everything about it. This was a new Japan match director. So I thought those things were funny as well. But yeah, that final stretch was very, very good. Yeah. When they were going back and forth trading the counters, trading strikes, I know that's also part of the match where people are going to be like, but they're not selling any of these moves. And I thought I thought all of it looked great though. I thought that stuff in that part was incredible. You like the finish? We got a barrage of every move in the world, but then it just ended with the punch essentially. The finish is not going to be for some people. I understand the story of the finish. I think when you go an hour though, I think it's more story. They were trying to focus more story than having a break finish. Yeah, the story in the finish, I think, work. But when you go an hour and you get people watching this thing for so long and at least to this, I could see why people didn't like it. Like you just gave me everything in the world and then the end is just a bunch. It's like, all right, but also that's MJS character too. So it's kind of a fine line. Of course, that's how he would end the match. That's MJS. Yeah. You're still doing the Osprey storyline of he's still traumatized by what he did to Brian and their match at Dynasty. And so he doesn't want to use the Tiger Driver. You're going up against the guys that you hit him with everything in the world and he kept kicking out. And he angered you enough in this match where you went to that place where you were ready to hit him with the Tiger Driver. But you hesitated again, which goes back to the story of the Swerve match where Swerve told you throughout the build of that match. Hey man, the guy that came to this company, the guy that got signed here, that guy was a killer. And somewhere along the line, you're not that guy anymore because you keep hesitating. If you're, if you've got that big ace in your hand and you're hesitating to throw it out because you're now triggered by this match, you can't be a champion and be that guy. And so I thought that it was a very good touch that that was the thing that cost him this match again and cost him his title. I don't know if Max needed to win this match though. Coming away from it, I definitely was sitting staring at the TV like, okay. Okay, Max one here. Where do we go from here? And I mean, you have some good options there. They're getting back to the rematch is at all in and then Osprey gets a big win at all in is what I think, right? That's what I think because it feels like the punk build. Yeah. And I'm fine with that. But I mean, after you make such a big to do about this guy has not lost, you give Swerve the win. And then you immediately have him lose again and have him lose the title with just kind of like. And I'm not like if you know Osprey and you know the history and you know his matches and you just just look at the matches of his last year, the things that it takes to put Osprey away and then you just again, it's just to punch is like, all right, like this guy, they just killed this like you got a drug, you got to drop this guy off a building on his neck and then you just punch him and win. Yeah, that's the other part about it with the finish is that you've built up Osprey as this guy, does it's like he's having the big matches. You got to hit him with everything that took to put him away and to beat him in a very sports entertainment. Hey, I put this ring on and punched him way. It's just like, uh, that's not gonna that's not gonna hit for some people. And I won't say I don't know if I would say that it didn't hit for me. It wasn't so much to finish up it. I think it was just the collective of all of it that the match was so long. That's how he won and then max one. I was like, okay. Very odd choice. But I understand a story they're telling. As far as the story. Okay. Yeah. So you're in the you're in the belief that they're just going to run back to match. That's where I'm I mean, because why else would they do this? I was the same as you when they announced this match. I'm like, what are they doing this? Because I thought this was officially going to be the all in match. And then it's like, well, I guess they could tell a story of when they announced I'm like, well, that means MJF could probably win then because if Osprey just beats him, what story does that tell at all? And so yeah, you know what I mean? And then MJF beats him. It's like, well, then they could run it back. That gets Osprey. We've already established that Osprey's not going to be in the world title match. Well, what's another way to get him a big win this way? Yeah, I don't love it. But you know, I could I could see two folds of this is the 250th episode. You want to do something big and noteworthy like a title change on this episode. And you want to give Osprey the big win and Wembley. So I can see you doing this and I don't love it though. But yeah, I don't love it. But I can see the line of thinking of let's do this here and to get from point A to point B. Now, Max also did a lot of taunting a Dan throughout this match. Yes. And so I was like, okay, are they teeing up the Dan match? Also, yeah, I don't know what role Dan plays in this though. Yeah, does this because immediately I was kind of like, okay, well, maybe Osprey doesn't get the rematch. Maybe this is teeing up Osprey versus ricochet at Wembley. And then Max is going to face Dan Garcia. I wouldn't be mad at that option. Maybe this is going to be a triple threat. And it's going to be Dan Garcia versus MJF versus Osprey. And pack earned a title shot somewhere in here the last week or two he's supposed to be. He said he gets the winner packets the winner of Osprey and MJF. So that's right. When he's going to get that shot, I don't know what he has, what role he plays here. That's yeah, I forgot about that. I totally forgot about that. Yeah. It's a lot going on. I don't know, man. I don't know what to make of that part of it either because it's like you build up this idea that Osprey is going to be international champion. He's going to be the guy that takes that belt to other places. I already liked that you're setting up that Max is going to defend the belt. It's not going to be like his world title reign where he's like, I'm not going to wrestle. I'm going to go and work every now and then. But he's going to be at a random Mexico next month and I'm spending the belt for CMLL. You've got the pack match coming up. So it could lead to some matches to fill in that, fill in this reign for him. And he might end up just dropping it back to Osprey within two months. But what about Daniel Garcia now though? Because he did birth in the match. He is like Daniel. He's talking to him in the match. And I'm like, what? He makes a point of looking straight in the camera and doing it multiple times. So I have to assume that this is leading to something with that. And it has to be something that has to be a payoff to the Max and MJF stuff. So I mean, I guess Dan could just come back at all and to help Osprey beat MJF. But that's not a good Like, Osprey does not going to need help. Yeah, you know, yeah, forgot makes it makes a good point because he says maybe we're looking at MJF versus Garcia all out because they are doing it. I always forget about all out. Yeah, they all out is two weeks right after all in. But I just think with everything you've been doing with Garcia, it would be nice to see him get that spot on the all in card. Yeah. I wouldn't be mad at either. I think him getting the big pay-per-view match at all out does make sense as well. But it just, I don't know, it's a lot going on. Like you said, it just feels like some of the stuff that people didn't like with Max towards the end of his title run where you had so many things going on. It's too much. It's just kind of like, all right, man. And Ricochet is still somewhere out in the shot. It's like, what? Yeah. So, yeah, I can see it both ways. I personally really like the match. But I'm also kind of like, did we really need to do this? We could have just did a straightforward build to the match at all in. But again, I get, let's get a big moment on the 250th episode. Let's have a big Bangor match. Let's have a big title change. And then let's also build to a moment for Icebury later down the line. I think, you know, the intention of like, they made a big episode. That's going to be a match that's remembered for a long time. Like, I mean, you know, maybe the sum of it wasn't the greatest details, but you know, pretty good execution, I guess. And it's MJF. He's going to, like you said, they've already announced it for Arena Mexico. You know what he's going to do with this championship. Like, I feel like he has a point to prove after being out. And he's like, I'm going to just go and work. And so it's going to work out for us. I do think there's a lot of comedy to the fact that he got this match with Etchazero ever been door to work the massive people were not going to work to me. And then worked a very new Japan match on TV and not at the pay-per-view. That is so funny. I'm now thinking about when they announced the Etchazero match and everyone's like, why? And now he's going to go wrestle in Arena Mexico with the pell. I'm like, you guys, this is just, these bits are so funny, man. Yeah, very, very funny coincidence is speaking of CMLO, Willow Nightingale is our new CMLO women's champion. Willow, she did it. Congratulations to her. I think it says a lot that she can step into that spot when Stephanie wasn't available. And that's a big win for her. Yeah, big, big win. I didn't get to make it out there last week. But yeah, shout out to Willow who has been in some high-profile situations this last couple, six months and has excelled and everything and it looked great, has improved her character and in-ring work. Big win, coming off some very controversial news off of that championship. So to be able to have composure and be put into that position is great for Willow. Yeah, the second half of the 250th episode, like I said, it felt very rushed, but we did get some good moments following up that long match with a learning tree segment choice. Abid, if you had your qualms with the pace and go to this show, I don't think that that helped. I think they did that because they were like, well, if we're going to have a long match, maybe a cool down segment, but that's probably not the cool down segment I would use, Phil. Yeah, that was definitely a choice. But I like the learning tree. I just want you guys to know. We got a very funny young buck segment afterwards. Oh, the young buck said I'm going to kill me. Here we go controversy again all week. In this segment, young bucks are in the back Mercedes walks up with her bell. She's like, what's up, you guys? Oh, kind of like gawking over Mercedes. And they're like, Hey, Mercedes, I kind of want you to do the dance. Mercedes does the dance and I'll kind of like, Oh my God, I can't believe I was in the presence of this greatness, which I thought was amazing. This now turned into we thought you guys wanted him in a w because he wasn't going to be doing comedy. You didn't want him to turn into a ninja. He's doing blah, blah, blah. I'm like, what, how did we, how did a good bit Phil turned into their wasting Okada? I'm tired of their wasting Okada. Are they wasting Okada? What's your opinion? No, they're not wasting. Right. He's been in the main storyline for his entire time with the company. It doesn't matter if it regardless if you like the main storyline or not, he has been in the main storyline since he's been there. Just because you don't like it, does it mean that he's not in a position in the main storyline? He's a champion, still hasn't taken a loss. It's presented as a huge star at all. Presented as a big deal. I don't know what I don't because he's also doing funny things. I don't know how people don't still understand this where more than one person is going over there and said, Hey man, young bucks are my friends. I want to go work with my friends. You then know what they're going to do. They're going to start doing comedy stuff. That's what Cole went over there did. That's what other guys, why is this still a surprise to people? I'm so confident. That's an amazing point Phil. Every time they're like, I want to go work with the young bucks. What do you think going to work with the young bucks means? Exactly. What do you think they're going to do? And it's not like Okada has, this is the first time we've seen Okada do comedy stuff. Like he's done comedy stuff for a good amount of his new Japan run. I mean part of the chaos stuff is him doing comedy stuff. I think I buy him with that red hair. The balloons. I mean them doing that goofy stance they used to do during their matches. That's all comedy stuff. I'm so confused why people, whatever. I thought this segment was great. I thought Mercedes continuing to interact with the EVPs makes all the sense in the world. And I wish they would have done it sooner. I feel like they're getting all this stuff that I wanted to see her do initially when she came to company. She's a heel. She's interacting with those guys. When she walked up and she, something about her doing that dance and then whispering CEO, why are you doing it? It's funny too. And then when you cut the Okada, he's just like, "Oh my God, it's so hot." I thought it was all really funny. It felt very much like the comedy that we're used to the Bucks doing. I've already seen someone in the chat saying it. It felt like a BTE skate. And I think that's why I liked it so much. Because we were just on this podcast what like two or three weeks ago. And I was like, "Man, the Bucks used to be fun. That's the BTE ass bit if I've ever..." I didn't even think about it. But yeah, that's why I loved it so much because it's a fucking BTE bit. Like if BTE still existed in its rare prime form, they would have done this same skin on there. Yes. And I think Mercedes would have definitely been on BTE. This just all fit. And if we were talking about celebrating 250 episodes of Dynamite, this felt like a very AEW segment. And like I said, I think that's why I liked it. Everything about it, the Bucks being involved. And then you're transitioning into where the company is now and having two big stars in that segment with the Bucks. Like I said, I thought it was funny because of Okada and Mercedes, but make no mistake about it, this felt like a very young Bucks segment. Exactly. Yeah. What we know and love about the young Bucks, this is exactly that. And then it kind of shows that evolution. Like you said, the young Bucks started this, but now Mercedes and Okada are here also. So like, what's the future going to hold? Yeah, that definitely feels like who would have guessed that four years ago, five years ago, when this company started that you get to a spot like I think Okada seemed more likely because he was he was at all in, he's friends with those guys. And you know, the New Japan connection, but like those four wrestlers in general in a segment. If they would have said Mercedes four years ago and said no fucking way, you're dumb. Yeah, but yeah, I thought the segment was fun, led into the open challenge for the TBS Championship. Shoutout to Nyla, Nyla always does well in these kind of moments. I thought she was great in this match, putting Nyla on TV more. I think her character in the match and just her humor so so good when Mercedes tries to get her into one of those like transitions she usually does into one of her moves. And she was just like, what are you doing? And basically like, I'm not like one of these other small wrestlers, you used to wrestle like get that out of here. That's what I love about Nyla the most is she maximizes her time like no other like she's like if they're like you got six minutes Nyla, you're gonna at the end of your gonna be like damn Nyla killed that and that's how I felt in this match of like one thing I was excited about is there's all these people when Mercedes came in, we had like a list of wrestlers we wanted to see Mercedes Gogans, Nyla's on that list and they didn't get a lot of time, but like I thought that they capitalized on it. And Nyla using her voice kind of being out there outlandish with it but also taking great bumps and playing great defense against Mercedes, I thought was awesome. Yeah, I thought that was a very very good match. I immediately thought of Nyla versus Jade when she answered the open challenge and I immediately thought of her still in the belt and how how great that feud was very much really in my opinion. One of my favorite Jay Kargill feuds as champions that was that few doesn't get enough love because there was that's when the talk of like what's gonna happen with Jade and her contract kind of started clouding it but like that's an underrated few Nyla was on some shit when she stole her belt and like we need to run that type of stuff back. Yeah, I thought that was all very funny but yeah Nyla was great in this match Mercedes continues to be greatest champion, go figure, she's good at wrestling. Even back in the deal, man, I'm so happy that she said I'm so glad she's healed everything she was doing at the heel. The things that she does that she's just so much better at the heel. When she pulled out that glove and did the the DMD thing with CEO and tried to do the lock y'all but Nyla bitter. I thought all of that was great and then she just rolled her up and put her in the statement maker. The statement maker and picked up the win. I thought that that was a great way to end the match and both of them look good. Great commentary to be like well she doesn't know how to manipulate the mandible like Brit does that's why the move didn't work. I'm like that's just a great little detail but she still smart transition and immediately into her own submission. I'm like man that was a really cool finish. Yeah, really cool finish got over the character stuff that both wrestlers did. I thought that was great. Then we got the aftermath of it for ripping the sign down. Then it turned out Brit was behind the sting mass. Another AW bit. When they did do like the whole homage like similarities to other episodes and other wrestling bits, it did work. I just wish we would saw more of it. I'm not saying that like I wanted like a raw 30th episode where we had to see like what is this wrestling doing here but it was just nice to make this episode feel a bit more special. Something like they were saying it's 250 like I said the whole episode but it didn't fit like they weren't ballooned like show us something. Show us like a celebration of sorts of like it doesn't have to be like the reunion episode but like some kind of like we look at where we came from and look at where we are. Right. Yeah, I thought that the aftermath stuff was hot. The stuff that they're doing to build Brit versus Mercedes continues to be hot. The crowd is very much into it. The crowd is very much into Brit every time she pops up. The way Mercedes ran away, their little run she does is so funny to me every time I see it. Yeah, Denise doesn't like that Mercedes has ran for the last two weeks but I'm like she's a hill though. She's supposed to run from Brit though, right? So I get it because you're telling us in one breath that she's doing the chicken shit heel thing and she's running away but she's also doing things that contradict that like having an open challenge. She's like right. So yeah but I think the whole like that she's not a chicken shit hill because she's saying she'll fight anybody besides Brit. Yeah but I think the gag is just that I don't want nothing to do with you. I don't want nothing to do with Brit and it's not so much that she's running away from Brit because she's scared of Brit. It's just like no no no I'm not giving you what you want. You want to be you want to be in a spotlight with me. You want to match with me. I'm not giving you any of those things like you stay over there. Like she's running away because she doesn't want her to touch her. Not that she's scared. Don't touch me. I'm gonna be over here. Yeah. The little run she did was both the titles was really funny. I also popped big when Brit didn't fall for what we've seen every wrestler do and try and run all the way around the ring. She got to the corner and saw where she was going and then turned in the other direction. I was like we don't see a lot of wrestling to do that. So I immediately thought it was funny. I don't know what the security guard was doing. We were saying he got over there. He looked like he was trying to tackle her. I was like what are you trying to break up the fight and started doing what are you doing? I don't think you should have had a little like that big dog. But yeah I mean I was wondering how they were going to kind of continue building this match going towards all in and they haven't gotten physical yet. So they have time and they have space to really develop more and the crowd's really getting behind it. So I think it's working out. Yeah. Seems like a hot feud. Good way to play up Mercedes being at Allen last year and not being able to wrestle. You've got a big marquee match ready for her in one of your big home grown stars at Crowds 11. I mean when you do a home grown ankle with A.W. fans they usually get behind it. Every time it always works. It just always works. I mean it's essentially like going to the crowd and go oh man. Hello Cleveland. Right. It's like I'm from Cleveland. Hey this is where we're here right now. I live here. Yeah so I thought the pull apart worked. I thought all this stuff was working. What do you think of Mercedes? Now after a match she gets on IG Live and talks to the fans. And she got on there. There's a clip of her saying I'm calling the cops. No you know honestly real like it feels like I like where she's at now because it feels like she's more accessible even though she's not really but it feels like coming her post WWE stuff she's been more like fan friendly. She's like trying to have moments where they can interact with her and she's trying to like talk more about the things that she's doing. I love it. Yeah because we did have this one period where people were throwing a lot of stuff on her name. Like of course the airport thing which she's totally right about. Leave people alone when they catch a flight or coming from a flight early in the morning. But there are a lot of people trying to act like oh well she's horrible to her friends. Creating a lot of narratives about her and her and how she treats people. So I and the other part of it is that she does have like one of the most notorious internet fan bases. This is all the fucking lines. I do think it makes more sense with how big her internet following is that she is interacting with them more and things like the IG Live and doing things like the QR code thing because it's just going to help ingratiate those kind of people around her because she already like I said has this big following. She already had them before even interacting with them like this. It's going to get even deeper now. Yes I think it's smart but yeah just her doing an IG Live and saying I'm calling the cops. I love Mercedes. She's really funny. Yeah just the way she initially was saying it like call the cops. That's why she's so better as a heel because she does shit like that. I just think she's just more confident as a heel man. I just like her much more. When she's like I'm the baddest motherfucker here there's no one better. I'm like yeah you're right. I think yeah I love it. But we also got the Mariah segment which the Mariah segment has been also the subject of some discourse because people were. Yes sir. Was it a good follow-up to last week's cliffhanger? You got the Shavani call and all these other things. What did you think of this segment? It took me a long time to get into it after the Shavani stuff like I was legit like he comes out or Mariah comes out and I like went to wash my hands feel so I couldn't see the TV but I could just hear it. So I hear Shavani I'm like who is that talk here? I was so confused. I'm like I thought somebody like had came out to talk shit to him. I'm like oh no that's Tony Shavani and then I love Excaliburton times his reaction to me. This was a very this was a very jr call. It was yes it was very very jr call. So when people were like how dare he do this I was like this is a very wrestling thing to do. How long have you been watching wrestling? And like what Tony Shavani represents this kind of A to post WCW and all that stuff like Conrad podcast Tony Shavani is this guy he would say that like it so it doesn't it wasn't it just called me off guard because I wasn't expecting it but it did surprise me that Tony Shavani said it you know. It was crazy it was a very Tony like I said Tony jr thing to do but also Tony has interacted in that way with most of the heels in the company. He's had that kind of back and forth with Adam Cole. I mean even when Brit initially turned heel they had their dynamic. So I'm JF he fucking hates him JF. Yes. I got it. Just really funny but yeah it was a jr bit you know what I mean like I don't know if it exists in the climate now where that is a thing. Yeah you can make the argument do we still need to do that in wrestling I guess but it didn't really bother me that much. I mean I don't know but equal opportunity right he would do it to a man why can't he do it to a woman. Yeah I don't know. Is it the way because he said bitch like I understand you know. I don't know. I thought he would do that to a man though so I don't really. Yeah I thought people kind of made a big deal of it and then the segment itself I don't know if this was a good follow up because I don't know what the way to follow up would have been is where I think I'm landing like maybe a match I probably would have been more invested in like I don't know if it was time for her to what's the expert do we need that the the explanation now immediately you know no because we know why. I thought they did some very smart things here but I just think two things happen that it wasn't nearly as compelling as actual turn correct and then the crowd absolutely sucked during the crowd was fucking horrible. The what chance was just like dude I hate it I hate the what chance so much at this point but I thought they did some smart things having her come out as Tony and being like all right well this is what you wanted right you wanted me to dress like you wanted me to say to me to be you and you didn't even understand all this time that's what I was trying to do I was trying to get you up out of here and I think she said some very smart things like even her saying you guys all knew this term was coming right. I was surprised it took this long and even going on to make the point that I made last week with the mean a few where she was like I just wanted to see how far I could take this I wanted to see how far I can entertain myself I wanted to see how far I can how far you would go with it what I can make you do and I definitely got that by by the end of the mean a few where it was just like oh how how much can I pull the strings on this and watch if they do things and fight for fight over me and at the same time I'm just trying to wait for my opportunity to strike so I thought that was smart I thought the promo itself showed the Mariah is a good talker she can carry a segment yeah but unlike other segments we've seen with some of the men where they had this kind of big turn if she had came out and they were booing her in atmosphere was good I think the segment would have worked way better now it got better towards the crowd yeah it got better towards then because the crowd started chanting we want Tony and that helped but man the blood the what chats was just like dude let's see that's the issue that AEW runs into because it's like they can't predict that it's like well we got to give Mariah a segment we don't know that the crowd's gonna be fucking awful when they do it yeah but I do like getting her out there and and she I really for a second thought that was Tony like what she turned around I still was like I don't know who this is you know what I mean like that that part like I think the presentation and everything surrounding her promo everything was great but the crowd just like that this showed how much of the crowd could really take away because like you're saying if this was a different crowd this promo would have been a great one you know what I mean yeah I also think the placement on the car it didn't really help that one hour match was great but they did fuck up the pacing of the show honestly yeah I agree I think where you put it didn't help I think if you maybe if you open the show with that maybe or maybe if you put it in another spot it might not have gotten that same dimension they maybe should have opened the show with it yeah I think that's a good point that you're making like right before the MJF matches put this put to that promo on because that's the freshest thing from last week that we're all wondering the results of you know what I mean yeah so by the time we get to the promo we're already dead from the hour match we're already blah blah you know what I mean like we're not as primed as we should be for this yeah so I mean I think that the promo kept the character stuff going it showed that Mariah can carry a promo and can't do all the stuff on her own I thought her coming out and getting this one last jab at Tonya well you know I did want to you know end it weeks ago but then I strung your log and I was like well maybe I should you know put this thing to bed in my home country in front of a bigger crowd all that stuff was good that like I said the content of the promo was good it just was certain things other things about it didn't work now I'm thinking about it I'm like late in the show extended promos never usually work in general and that's one it's just a thing excuse me that's that's the reason why I'm like I think the placement kind of heard it but I think everything about it her getting this one last need to win of coming out there's Tony dressed as one time one last time and then saying next week we're gonna see the glamour imae I thought that that was smart it's good stuff really good work yeah we got a really good uh uh article on this storyline with sports illustrated uh shout out to Justin Baraso spoke to talk about and Tony Khan gave some of the details on putting this story together with RJ city and where the influence is on it very good read if you haven't read it everybody's talented that you just named RJ city being a part of this and helping further along one of the best angles in the history of their company is awesome yeah yeah um then we kind of rushed along got the main event um that's another one where we're talking about the young buck segment if you told me four years ago we would get this if you had told me dynamite was going to end with swerve wrestling okada five years ago I would have been like get the fuck out of here and five years the 250 episode of dynamite is going to be swerve as the AEW world champion against okada who's going to be the classic champion like I don't even know what you're talking about nope crazy not going to happen yeah what a what a spot for uh swerve I think that some of the interest in the blood and guts match is kind of waned but I still like the idea of him leading team AEW uh that puts him firmly in the main storyline putting him in the main event for this landmark episode also put him in a prominent spot as well and then having a big match up like this big dream match with okada and the match was fire match was he I think the um the presentation of swerve now you could this episode kind of showed me is like oh swerve's one of those like he's on a different level now like his presentation when he comes out like it's like oh there's like the roster and then there's like the top guys and swerve feels like that now like the way that the crowd comes looks at him the way that the presentation the camera he's looked like it's like oh he's that now and it's like it's just so awesome I love this match pacing of like them trying to out swag each other essentially like okada came in like I don't care that you're swerve I'm fly I'm okada like I'll beat your ass and swerve being like I'm the coolest motherfucker on this company like there's nobody that's flyer than I am I'll beat you up I'll beat the young bucks up really dope pacing and then they got to uh I didn't know what they're gonna do for the main event like people like what are they gonna do with this match I'm like I guess they're gonna do a screwy finish and like they did a screwy finish uh they did uh but yeah I think you make a good point that we're seeing more and more the big difference between swerve and the rest of the roster and that uh swerve feels like he has the full package going right now he has the presentation he's having the matches um he's cutting get promos um like he has a defined character he has defined motivations and all these things and not everybody else feels as complete like there's a complete package when you see this guy and I think it makes him stand out in all the best ways it does yeah it like separates him it puts him on a different level yeah like there was time when swerve had originally came in where I was like we knew what he could be and we knew what he could do but he just wasn't even putting in positions to do that now it's like he's forced to because he's so over that everything he's involved in feels feels more important everything he's involved in feels like it's the you know a main part of the show and he's just entered into a different echelon and like you guys we talk about it all the time but seeing a black wrestler like that in this position it's crazy man like we're gonna continue to talk about it because it's so crazy yeah uh yeah really really cool spot to see him in and he shined in this spot he's I feel like this title run has absolutely elevated him um again we said this last week but we don't see this we don't get to see black wrestlers in this spot with that match with okada and so sin is really cool he likes that they had a great match um I pretty much figured we were gonna get the dusty finish we were not gonna get a uh definite win from either of those guys but I love the guy okada they still don't want him to be beat even though he's supposed to be blah blah blah over here go go figure guy that is joke wrestler also made him in at this show and did not lose um again and as part of the main storyline going into blood and guts next year um but I mean the next next week uh the I thought the finish worked I thought the ending was a good way to lead into blood and guts I thought that that was a good way to remind us that this is a go-home episode for blood and guts um I was wondering where we were going at first because I was like all right are we just gonna do the usual this person comes in this person turns into a brawl but um Darby coming down from the rafter changed everything it did when he did that I was like oh man now this is fire he's coming down with his arms wide I'm like all right this is heat yeah I think just having that tie back to stink and their relationship and then also doing that on such a landmark episode making that a moment of him dropping down for the rafters um which pay tribute to sting in the 250 episode I just thought about that that's cool yeah I thought that that was great I thought that was a great way to end the show and to get off all of these guys on the on there um I still don't know how to feel about like the makeup of this team we had a segment with the acclaimed joining team AEW but it is what it is I think when you pick you're picking a team that is a homegrown team if you're not going to pick FDR it does make sense probably if the other most successful homegrown team well FDR is not even a homegrown team but the oh the other like if when you think tag team wrestling AEW when you think of young bucks rivals yeah there's there's probably four teams there's lucha bros um FDR bucks acclaimed and so if you're not going to use any of those other three teams makes sense for it to be the acclaimed yeah people don't like that it's the acclaim though yeah but I mean and it's it's it's mostly because the trio's run yeah sour taste in people's mouth well we forget man we everybody wanted them to call an audible when they were in this match one time like these guys could turn it up and they're gonna fit in well in this spot yeah that was another one of my rights with this episode too is that AEW was known for its tag team wrestling at one point and we didn't get a big tag team match on this show and then we got a really good tag match on rampation like man it kind of would have been nice if we got private party versus lucha bros on this show instead or Nick and matter here they got them belts but those motherfuckers on the line I don't know man yeah so it is what it is but I don't want to keep over griping on things I didn't like but I just felt like big pro it was just certain things with the 250 episode it was a good episode it was a good show but I wish it there you know there was a little bit more celebration a little bit more or something yeah yeah yeah like I probably maybe wouldn't have done an hour match I probably would have done a 30-minute match and used 30 minutes for other things but you know I get it you know it is what it is I get up but you know got to take the good with the bat the women's division is better than it's ever been and yeah that was a big focal point on this episode I think that shows growth from the company um fans seemed to really like that match in the arena um and it did a pretty good rating so exactly I mean I think that if if we're talking about goals they accomplished some of them yeah uh how do you feel in about uh blood and guts as a whole though I know last week you're saying that and I still feel like we're in the same place uh they should probably just pivot in and win with the women because this this men's one it's like it just feels like they're doing the match like it's that there's not any like super super duper heat behind it like I understand intention what everybody's saying but it's like I don't want to see anybody like beat anybody up besides swerve and hangman you know um yeah all of the heat here is basically between those two guys um I thought that was very smart what they did here as well the soonest hangman came down and it looked like we were going to get the interaction between him and his work okada immediately uh took swerve out and very much now this confirmed for me I was not sure um last week but this definitely confirmed for me hangman okada is the destination for all it yes sir because I don't think the hangman like that at all um and you can say my name like nothing that okada has been doing you can see that there's already this uneasy um alliance with the bucks mm-hmm yeah I think that he has a one-track mind at the moment at this moment of like I want revenge in this against this guy and then okada jumped in a way he's just like what are you doing here again you again get out of the way um so I don't know man I think the blood and guts match kind of feels like we're just doing it because it's on a calendar now it kind of feels like it's in the housing cell spot of why we have we there's it's on the calendar we're going to do it we we we how are we going to get there now but it used to be like the blood feud is ending and it's not the blood feud is ending yeah I still feel like you could easily end at this with anarchy arena you didn't need to keep this going um and it feels even more so like that because you've changed the you can't change the dynamic of teammate w you don't you don't have brian there anymore uh you don't have ftr to take part in it anymore so it's just a different it's just a different match it doesn't have any of the stakes that you have before and I I think that's kind of harmed it in some ways yeah I think that it still will be a good match of course but yeah it's just the intention just doesn't hit like it just doesn't have that same heat that you would expect for this kind of match and I'm I'm just not a fan of that like you bringing up the hell in the cell thing like I want things to be for a reason blood feud and there's things like that not just because it's fucking september or just because it's blah blah blah that doesn't it doesn't that dilutes the match type and I think like blood and guts if we're just gonna every july we have to do a blood and guts who's going to be in it it's just going to dilute the match type of this really it it's not the same yeah now I do like the story that they're telling as well that um at and again the arena you gave brian leadership role and he let team a w to a loss and now swear it's like all right let me get this done you should have you should have called on me in the first place let me get this done where brian couldn't get this done and that of course helps to build to that match at all in of him saying hey i'm gonna lead team a w to a went at blood guts and I do think taype team a w is gonna win at least I will hope that seems like the logical master and our game in arena I would think so yeah so I think having swerve leave team a b a w to win is another notching his belt as champion it's another thing to take into that match with brian as bragging right uh I just wish the execution was a bit better I said I said that's all I'm sure like you said the match is going to be amazing look at all the participants in it like it's kind of yeah it's a blood and guts match say debbie some of the best rest is in the world are in this it's just like the reason that we got here has been pretty muddied but you know it is what it is and we're leading to it's gonna further the stories of a lot going into all into so it's gonna work out right um like they might even tell more stories in the match than going into the match um yeah I I know some people are not going to be happy still that hangman is not in the spot where brian is and I don't think that it helped that brian also wasn't on this episode that was another big old mission yeah you had him win on last week and then you came into this week and brian wasn't on the episode at all um now maybe brian just wasn't available but it did feel like there's a pretty glaring omission um no brian's probably fucking rested up somewhere if he just had a match trying to really fucking hurt right that's brian yeah right but with with this that I just feel like even with that even people being upset to hang man it's not getting the match um I think the story that you can build out of this with the blood and god's match could be really good as well and I mean if you're not gonna main event with swerve getting a match with okada is probably the next big thing pretty hot and he's gonna further the story with swerve also in the match yes so you know what I mean like he gets a couple of win wins hangman coming out of this gonna get a big match at okada probably gonna get another match with swerve you know what I mean like it seems pretty good to me yeah um yeah it's not an episode yeah pretty solid uh we're gonna get into some super chats uh Darren Pittman says uh love to see you guys do an interview with the devlog guys y'all are two of the funniest podcasts I'm gonna meet the devlog guys uh some of them today at the show cool I'm excited um I'll tell them about us hey what's over there says just saw Death Triangle Kyle Fletcher and MJF are all going to have a match in CMLL Conan is gonna blow a gasket yeah Conan it's looking crazy in the life Phil if like the partnership was something and then now it looks this way it looks like something you know about a Conan any adventurer yeah like the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie Conan that can actually shut the fuck up um that twin blade said almost no one in the fed is washed the fed style is what is washed and we all got to sit down and admit it uh yeah I do think sometimes when people are like this wrestlers watch it's just that um they're wrestling under certain constraints yep um and like people are saying AJ Styles is washing like AJ Styles is washed you guys come on yeah no I didn't buy into that anyway like y'all don't know AJ's anytime people say that they don't know who the wrestler is usually you know I mean like AJ Styles uh Tenorza says Hichelaio and a in WWE a WWE doing a big show in Dallas WWE going for partnerships quote unquote global localization uh Okada CEO Funny Blood and Guts DJ Head in Punk T now um yeah that's kind of the other big news we got this week uh it seems like Hichelaio is officially heading over there uh that's a lot of people are surprised about this one no um we've seen some of those uh those trademark copyright things that they were out there with the Taliban good thing that people uncovered uh there had been reports for a little bit that he might be in negotiations with WWE but uh Fightful Select dropped a report that uh it's gonna be official soon that he will be joining WWE you know he's gonna go join us bros man we're not surprised but really honestly just kind of the way that he's been booked in knee japan and was kind of the writing on the wall for me like the last couple of runs are like oh they're doing like uh farewells uh farewell to Hichelaio type run here so I'm not surprised and then that trademark with the Tallah one came out and I was like all right we're all atala talatala talatanga we're out here we're outside uh yeah do you think that he's going to join the bloodline or do you think he's gonna come back with uh roman uh i'm i don't know i've been reading these conspiracies that uh Jacob is a sent um roman sent Jacob and he's gonna screw and join over there so i'm like i don't know because i feel like hichelaio stays with the with his boat with you know with tom and and uh with his bros and toa you know or yeah yeah uh if this is where i think it's going to a war games match i think that he's probably going to join the bloodline because right you need five guys on that side so i think i think Jacob's gonna stay put for now but i think who's on the other side then uh i think we're gonna get the og bloodline so the roman and usos and it's gonna be a matter of them finding two other members to help right away sammy makes the most sense because sammy was also kind of an og of bloodline guy true um he has a connection with jay and if you're gonna turn roman babyface which it seems like they're doing um it makes sense to to mend fences if you're gonna mend fences with jay you might as well mend fences with sammy and the fifth member is an interesting one because to me what i don't want them to do and i feel they're going to do it is make cody the fifth member that's what i was saying it sounds like you know um and to me like i get why um i get the connection i think you should get cody away from the bloodline yeah um i think cody makes sense but and like fight after all that and then fighting alongside roman would i i i yeah i wouldn't do that um but i wouldn't be surprised if that's what it feels like they're doing when you break it down that you know but to me i think the better story is the guy that this guy has hated for his entire time as tribal chief had several matches with the guy that um sammy saying left that group to go join is kevin oen's kevin oen's coming full circle and helping this version of bloodline dismantle that version i feel like that's a better story but i also kind of feel like the same thing like him joining up to fight with roman though like sammy makes sense because he was gang but the rest of them wouldn't really make sense you know but i don't i don't think he's joining necessarily to help roman i think that it's one of those we have a common enemy thing yeah and because of that um i don't necessarily like you or you or you but sammy is my brother and so i'm helping him fight a common enemy i like it but never know maybe they're gonna bring another someone and they do got a whole bunch of it ain't like it's over for them maybe they're gonna throw lance on other team or somebody else so they can find some other members not that hard but i still just think if you're gonna bring roman back as a baby face and the whole idea of building this team against that version of bloodline is all guys that he's tormented like jay and sammy and jimmy kevin oen's is right there yeah code he's gonna have to take a one l off roman coming back though you know what i mean whether it be being on a team or like he's gonna have to somehow play the backseat for roman with upon roman's return well i think that's what's gonna well of course i think because i think roman is going to have done one minute summer slam i think he's going to return there and if it were me i think that cody roman should be the match it bash it berlin hmm of course i think cody will win he better yeah roman comes back and wins the battle he just does it all over again listen i would cut my tv up though he has to be the biggest baby face in the world upon return so uh delayed grat says 49 minutes of wrestling total on ron osprey versus mjf was 59 minutes both raw and dynamite were good but they're different shows for different tastes yeah totally different shows all for different audiences different strokes for different folks some people like 59 minutes of one match and some people hate that shit so you know yeah uh hey what's over there says give me gave kid versus mjf at restle dynasty in japan i like that match a lot man i would like to see it yeah i'll take that uh marge he loves uh seeing max kiss that belt felt wrong it's all about the triple b for him i'm max at a different bell yeah uh yeah max is a funny guy him him getting the oxygen and then rolling over to the camera with that big goofy smile on the face like you know you could make me it was all me i did this uh that he takes the oxygen picture afterwards he's funny he's a funny guy he knows he knows his yeah that's his face uh linda dairains the third says people didn't want okada being middled out by the motorhead merchant and his creative congrats on the dry run for the debby wwater adh division for the women motorhead merchant is hilarious uh marge loves also says who's house him a shamp has made this year for me yes it's like changed a lot so cool and then linda dair is that there's also says we've had one promotion for way too long showing us that black wrestlers can't do what swerve is doing right now that's the long and short of it it's pretty much it history has shown that this isn't a thing and like seeing it as a thing is just wild definitely that's all of our again um got some hopper chats we're going to get into i think we're going to get out of here i don't think you're going to finagle us into uh not today world again i got that was hilarious last week by the way when i was sitting here like panicking like oh no man this is a long episode people were like yay i got hit for episode four hours i was like okay it was like that uh that homeland to me where i was he was like looking around and he's like smiling it's like okay i was looking at the same thing to tell like that was a long year show and then we got the ones the money's like you guys should have went five hours i'm like what bro what are you talking about i saw somebody saying wait hey man well you guys gonna you guys gonna hit this or give us ass grabs and i'm like bro we did like three hours on accuracy the turn of round it did almost four hours like y'all not tired y'all not tired though they're like more which we respect thank you guys i'll think about that today then sometimes uh it wasn't today i was feeling good about today but sometimes coming into the show it's like damn it's rough man i don't know if i can talk about wrestling whatever but then like today i was thinking about like damn like people are gonna come and listen to my friend and i talk about wrestling like i used to like pray for times like this honestly like what do people like really come to me for my wrestling opinions and like a lot of the time it's fucking awful because people are crazy but a lot of the times it's really cool and i appreciate y'all yeah listen man i have a lot of time fun doing this this podcast um sometimes twitter can be still fun um if somebody randomly called me a pussy yesterday because i said i i was upset that glow is gone i'm just like go figure this innocuous take where i really like this tv show and i'm upset that netflix canceled it that makes me a pussy but all right cool cool internet wrestling fans like that's where we are um i also got uh uh a guy yelling at me because i said the chat gable stock is down in article which i was just like but it is how do you feel about that because maybe i'm maybe i'm just off here but i was like well gable started this year as top contender for the icy title um he had a lot of uh people invested in his story and then you know this is where we are like he's on tv a lot but it doesn't feel like he's still like top contender for that belt the issue is easy stuck and why it took in six hell dude like i don't like you know what i mean like he was on a trajectory he's on his way we wanted him to beat gump there for a while and then we wanted him to beat Sami Zayn and now it's like nobody cares like us they're still building towards him being with the creeds which i think is like the goal for most people but yeah his stock is not as high as it was like Wrestlemania season dudes wanted him to beat gothar like i'm saying you know what i mean that's that's why i was like am i crazy here i don't think this is a crazy take for me to sit back down this isn't me saying i don't like like gable or that he's trash or anything i just think compared to the beginning of the year to right now i think it's down like compared to where he was before he signed that contract like he's on tv more but like like you said people wanted him to beat gothar at the beginning of this year now they've basically moved on to brine versus sammy and i think that brine is going to beat sammy i think so too and after that where does that leave gable i don't see gable being the next hicy champion after that he's not going to be the one to beat brine that's for sure i don't see it and that's why i'm like yeah where does that leave him after that if that was going to be like his big win where does he what happens after this where does he move forward to like i said they're still building towards the crease but they don't have a trail's division like was he going to just be the manager no i mean i this is what people wanted um for him to team up with crease i'm glad they finally got to that this week but again they took a minute to get here you built up all the stuff with odus and hey maybe you would have had a payoff for pay for odus and they could have wrestled if he was icy champion but he's not and so i don't know uh i don't want to get into a tangent about that but that was crazy watching someone yell at me for that i was like i don't think this is like a crazy take but it's not a crazy take at all yeah go figure um pretty sets i can't wait to take that fell i apparently am an embarrassment for saying that i was like all right cool embarrassment yeah this was it within 24 48 hours but this is this is life of the content creator guys you back my friend gets to write it gets paid to do this and he like did they you know had a deadline he did all this and then somebody gets to get you and also like you don't have to read it it's okay you don't have to agree with me you don't have to at all right you could you could be like Chad gable's doing great and i yes and i and i do think he's doing great in some ways but if the point of what i'm saying that's not what you said that he's not doing or that he's washed he's out of here nothing yeah again still big fan of Chad gable want nothing but success for the guy and that's partially why i feel that way of like i was hoping when he turned heel that this was gonna turn into him uh a nice way for him to stay in that title picture and now it kind of feels like it's not happening it feels like he's uh he's sliding out of that title picture and they're moving on to somebody else i just don't know where he's going to be slotted in is my thing yeah uh yeah i i still kind of feel like he should have wanted briefcase to be honest i think he he would have been a good guy to win money at a bank this year yep but i don't know and he's also some fool that could have benefited off losing it too like he could have felled the cash in and it would have worked for his character but well that doesn't matter anymore certainly doesn't but yeah i just say i'll let's say that sometimes this thing is very fun and it's very rewarding and it's cool to interact with guys on here or online but every now and then you get on and it's people like you know yelling at you or screenshotting your tweets and putting them somewhere else to go and dunk on a take for something it's it's weird man i i just don't really get it i i've said many times that nothing has uh made people meaner and nastier than the anonymity of the internet it's very strange yep or like me getting yelled at for working under Sean Ross that like i have dms in my thing that are like your boss blah blah i'm like what leave me the fuck alone what does he have to do with me dude why am i inheriting beef yeah i've seen that oh two times hey your boss is a big fucking idiot what people are mad at him for something because so it's like yeah those fight for guys including including Phil Lindsey i'm like what did i do i why why in this why am i in here bro i don't know why what i don't know people guys are really well huh i guess i don't know hey man what happened oh Sean Ross that block blocked me what why am i in this though please let's tell Sean don't block me tell Sean don't block me so i control him some work how did i get here though just break that part now okay tell him to block me right now so i can call him an idiot what did you do all was the worst person of all time but he don't he can't take criticism yeah that internet is crazy bro it's fucking crazy uh did it to so many opportunities um you see from Tony P says uh now hearing uh gender didn't want to do that uh do that shin promo but was forced by Vince Kennedy McMahon makes so much sense looking back you can see he didn't feel comfortable uh yeah i can believe that because Vince has a very questionable history with Asian wrestlers and with uh race in general and why would gender just want why would he want to do why why would gender come in there and say i want to do this promo that that that promo always felt like it was written for him that always felt like it was like a directive for him to do that so like a story wasn't even a surprise i was like yeah of course that don't shock me at all um that's going to be very interesting now that gender is a free agent and he's out and about uh seeing some gender interviews and we get some insight um because i would like to uh see some people talk to him about the title run and just a bunch of stuff over there that he may not have been able to talk about not saying i want to see him like bury that company but just like to get some insights about his experiences as champion and some of those things you want to talk to him that wouldn't be a matter of gender interview i got some questions for him i have a lot of questions for gender honestly yeah the boy showed up at a GCW last night he did uh now rosh no longer gender rosh do you have a glass of wine um yeah i don't know uh tony p continues as me thinking whatever horrible tone that prom was russellers were forced into by defense kennedy mcman um that made him worse by how uncomfortable the wrestlers were uh also last week when talking about konen it was about what he said about tai but also other things uh i was going to say we just heard somebody say that same thing i'm thinking of that tweet that sheltin benjamin had a few weeks ago remember he was like this is the worst promo i've ever did in my whole life i was instructed to do this dumbass shit the one against yoshi tokzu at uh in a cw when i was like this is terrible like what what is this you guys yeah we bro we've got a long history of this that's why i'm like why are people surprised by this we've got stories like uh kurt angler talking about yeah he he wanted me to kiss his daughter and he was sitting behind a camera like hey i'm liking what i'm seeing and like directing the whole thing like yeah the that guy was a sicko where were we shot sicko mode man yeah not surprising at all every time a story comes out it's like yeah yeah that's kind of awful events was uh won some shit over there i'm not surprised he was living out some kinks and some fantasies that's what i saw i said yeah a lot of uh a lot of things uh did not age well but things look very very funny and then like uh after certain things um uh we we got some more updates on the lawsuit stuff as well this weekend uh the the bit about the medical was just like uh i don't know what that means people weren't understanding what was going on and like it feels like she's just trying to get her own medical records from the doctor and people are like well you get what what you oh my god yeah i mean but that bit about her um getting some substance and she didn't know what it was that was crazy like that that sounds crazy yeah apparently she went to the doctor and he prescribed her some stuff and she was like what is this and he was like don't worry about it you don't trust me and it's like wait that's not how you doctor yeah don't worry about it you don't trust me that's not i don't think that's yeah that that was very very concerning um and you know that's part of why you know she won her medical records and stuff that sounds very dicey again everything that comes out new out of this story i'm like yeah that sounds so much we don't know sounds very very nasty and then you've got somebody on your medical team that might be culpable in that uh yikes and this apparently was the guy i never seen this documentary but bigger strap faster stronger is a documentary about like steroids and steroids use in sports and this guy it was like one of the crazy doctors in that movie i'm like what's going on i did not know that yeah the doctor was on the in that movie he's like a bit like look like he's you know using some of the stuff too i'm like not only the client the president i was saying the fact that the fact that it's still like so out like in 2022 they were still like this nigga was still wilding and like all this was still going up that wasn't that long ago phil that was like it you know what i mean like the fact that they were still like so open with like wild the craziest shit you would ever see in your life is like i can't believe it yeah uh justice virgin al grant justice for any other victims involved it's um the talk that surrounds it anytime something comes out makes my stomach turn so i hope that they get some restitution and some kind of something out of this yeah for sure um see more from tony p um he says it was also how he said a w sent him nobodies um ignoring who triple a the triple a mega champ said was uh was and said they will soon regret uh wait a minute wait a minute women hammering up i think you there's a typo here that is messing up so it's all the way back to beginning uh he says it was also how he said a w sent him nobodies ignoring who the triple a mega champ was and said they will soon regret it uh regret things tk did to them uh then work came out devikingo not working with a w is not working with a w anymore however something funny happened a few days ago uh yeah we did see if he can go back out and about uh he took that picture in front of the uh uh dynamite site uh so hopefully that means that he'll be ready to go again hopefully that's uh positive sign that he is uh recuperating well look i'm ready to see the god back it's been too long since some crazy ass flip has happened on my tv where my mind has been blown just a man a certain other flipping guy is going over there and this guy's gonna be ready soon man get to the match man listen we might be uh they might have to change collision to just a flipping and spinning show if all this keeps happening because like it's looking like they're building a uh roster of heavy hitters and i'm all in for it yeah i'd be here for it um see his son is saying that's an old picture if it is uh i still want to hope for the best and hope that he's doing well well picture uh the the picture of him in front of a w dynamite oh the the kingo one yeah yeah yeah so if that is an old picture i i just hope that he's doing well and that there are signs that he is going to be ready to go again yeah apparently he responded like somebody was like when you're going to be back to w and he said soon on one of them so yeah so hopefully hopefully we see the kingo soon i'm ready see we've got some more from tony fee he says the kingo posted on ig that he would back be we'll be back in a w uh he's seeing what is happening ever been door said he wants some of that cmlo play like everyone else does i think conan's fucking crown is going to cost triple a yeah it doesn't i don't think what he's doing is really good for anybody way that he's going about the business i don't think it's a good look yeah yeah which but you know that's wrestling everybody well i want to say everybody but most people seem to be holding a garage against somebody it's just the way you let these things play out and unfortunately a lot of people do not know how to just live and let let live i don't know it's just shooting as constant shoot interviews man everybody got to get that shit off it's always somebody don't like somebody somebody was doing wrongs by somebody it's always something uh fuck a bridge burn that shit down everybody's like i don't care about a bridge burn it burn it burn it all down burn it down like my my god got another tony pea he says this is why i feel ww is not going to pick triple a for one one of many reasons uh we know he wants to be debbie debbie's latin partner what is his only real chip is the kingo if he leaves what does he have to offer before i go now then forever together fuck terrible yeah agreed uh when uh the sheaky account was getting them tweets off i was like man we're back she can't wait i've been right away stop that guy's a cheeky baby from cj three three four he said the arctic bursades running away from brit back-to-back week is going to possibly introduce her heaters where brit is chasing care and runs right into heaters or to like maybe the renegade twins um yeah we got that uh fightful select report that renegade twins were backstage recently um and of course renegade twins have been over there often they have a relationship with a w through thunder rose admission pro wrestling um when before she signed mercedes was saying how she did like the renegade twins and if she had a unit and stardom that she would pick them as her uh stablemates and so i very much like the idea of her being a ceo and like uh swerve did with his group build a good conglomerate and having other members and if you're going to pick other one brit members renegade twins make a license yep i like the renegade twins a lot just because of yeah what she said she's already expressed interest in having them accompany her and i think that's a good idea yeah i think uh this maybe her running off could be the introduction there's still the homegirl kameel that could also be a big heater for that i think would work dope so there's a couple of different options i think they can go kameel sent him behind mercedes pretty good visual i think yeah i do like we've seen so many people try and do this uh hbk and diesel thing and you know it feels like it's been done to death but i wouldn't be mad at it um having her have a heater and then build that to somewhere i i like uh see from wonger he says good egg wraps he fellas to catch the sous ji was so good uh fun first night uh to kick off the this year's g1 my guy robbie eagles is on uh wcp deadlock show um yeah um robbie eagles is fire man like he's he's one of those uh junior heavyweights over there is it i would like to see more of man but robbie eagles in uh kevin blackwood tonight it's gonna be very exciting sounds like heater mhm uh try to make sure i'm getting all of our last bumper chats okay we got two more two more from tony p he says funny how abrid finally where she has always wanted to be uh they don't want her what the race is being vocal about it uh same with man's his wife weird act being so excited about sneak dishes after uh champion after uh champion is viewed uh he thinks that is not going to hear the disc yeah that whole act talking about uh i i've heard the sneak this and i'm like bro we've moved past sneak this is at this word guy this guy got on a record and read your entire family you cannot go back to sneak it this and this guy that's not how any of this works you can't have the battle and then be like oh now he sneaked this thing again sneak this is our over we have already said names you guys what yeah not not only doesn't nobody want to hear sneak this anymore nobody wants to hear sneak this is from you anymore right everybody feels like you lost if you go back to sneak this in you look like a clown bro like no nobody wants to hear that um there were a few things uh rap wise where i was like what are we doing like that big Sean thing this week i thought that was nasty too uh the big Sean thing sucked yeah um he because he went on on the radar and he did the freestyle and people were trying to say oh he's talking about Kendrick and i never felt like he was talking about Kendrick even when i heard it the first time um i thought he had a fire freestyle on there but people were trying to turn it into more beef stuff and i was like oh no he's not talking about Kendrick he's talking about Kanye and then that led to apparently a Kanye fam leaking big Sean's album i'm like yeah i thought that was gross i mean even the idea of people going he got on he got on there and disrespected Kanye okay he shot some bars his way like he still has said many times that he has love for Kanye his career wouldn't be what it is for Kanye Kanye put him on um they have a very odd relationship Kanye went on drink chaps and said some wild stuff about Sean and then Sean went on drink champs and responded to it but at the end was still saying well Kanye still my guy so yeah him shooting some bars in him i don't think they have a relationship that's like two brothers fighting you're not supposed to and like niggas that aren't involved are like well um you can't go to war for and he's a nasty dude and he and he has and he has some real grief grievances with Kanye from what i understand what what he was saying on drink champs and some other stuff i've seen i kind of see his point so right it's not just because he's beefing for no reason oh he's beefing for a reason like all this is attached to something man and even with all this dead he's still saying like no i'm not i don't know fuck Kanye talking he helps Kanye i'm sure he wrote verses for him i sure he did song swarm and Kanye was like this nigga's wack and he still was like that's my dog come on yeah yeah i mean but the other part of this is the other music that Sean has been dropping has been great the single he dropped last night was good man that's nipping alchemist that alchemist snip it was crazy i listened to it like 10 times in a row i was like bro just dropped the record yeah no i heard him uh uh big shawn was on the larry june product project the larry jennon alchemist when i heard him rap on that and i was like oh yeah we need more big shawn and alchemist and now i heard it again i'm like oh yeah they're about to cook we might need a full one what would you think of him did you i don't remember if we talked about did you listen to the m&m album not in full yeah i still haven't listened to it at full either but you did the shawn feature on there that's good it's all right i don't know somewhere buzzbeats like man y'all stop listening to that one buzzbeats right now writing a 10 page lyrical breakdown of it uh last one from tonyp he says this didn't get uh this didn't get added to the 250 humper i do think they do something smart that that's unknown this 250 was also a celebration with the people who wrestled the day one era and the dynasty era wrestlers were the showcase of the show the show how far it has come yeah yeah i caught that um and that's why i thought that oh okay now i'm saying it now i'm saying yeah that's ladies ocada osprey swerve mj yeah okay i get it yeah that that's why i thought they kind of tied that together will with the young buck segment of putting the dynasty era guy in the same segment with the bucks and it's the same thing we have an mj f go against the dynasty guy and then main eventing with with uh swerve and ocada that i got that that makes sense i like it in hindsight still probably wouldn't have did the hour match but you know buzzbe buzzbeats now in our check on your hater because you like cuz you doing 10 page lyrical breakdowns buzzbeats i'm the hater i'm a bump no i'm not gonna bump it i'm like uh we got a couple more supertresting right here that's when play says oh red did you check out black lagoon yeah i don't know what black lagoon is it's like the blue lagoon uh sequel i don't think that's what it is i don't know what it is but i don't think that's it and then tenor just says dalcastled injured alpha rest of 2024 you guys are an embarrassment of riches you're the golden standard get here to melbourne australia yeah it's like it's sick of the amount of wrestling that happens honestly it's sick it's too much like tonight there's like 10 shows happening yeah hopefully of course get well soon to uh adult cast so i don't know the status of the injury or anything yet but sucks to hear that injuries kind of suck right now i hope that everybody's uh all the wrestlers are okay shout out to tenoruza too a lot of great supertrest today thank you for your support yeah uh black lagoon is an anime oh yeah yeah no he is not watching i i i did i did watch uh the bear for everybody that was telling me
