[Music] Welcome back everybody! If you're listening to the Mind, Matter, and Mind cap, she'll be on a storm, it's all a good stuff that's going on! That's right! In fact, I wanted to read a comment we had on our last podcast because episode, because I thought it was so good. So, it was awesome podcast, I started using this saying, "If only I had one week to live, would what was currently bothering or gripping me in my life really matter?" As a filter to reevaluate some of the decisions I had committed to that were really taking me away from having joy and happiness in my life, the impact was huge. I continued to use the saying that it's helped me to make some big shifts in the way I approach and respond to things. Great to have this confirmed in your podcast and the others, and that others have an opportunity to try it too. Oz are that this thought may have in fact been a seed. You had sown in me in one of the many life-changing seminars I have attended with you over the last three years. Thank you for providing these wonderful resources, they helped me to continue to stay true to myself in gratitude, Don. So, hey Don, thank you very much for that, that was wonderful. Thank you, Don, that's awesome. You know, for me, that is what this is all about. This is about what we do in here. I mean, you know, I was talking to you about this a long time ago, but it's not a long ago, I mean, really, it's less than ten years ago, that if you wanted to come and hear what did I have to say, or attend one of my seminars, get on a plane or a bus or a drive, you had to go somewhere to come and get what it is that I had to offer. This technology just did not exist, and now we can provide people with these tools and these knowledge and the insights that are changing people's lives, and what's cool about it is when you get a message, or I get a message, we get a message from someone like Don, who is not only taking in the information, but is taking on the information, is applying it into their life. To me, that makes it so valuable, so amazing, because that's what it's about. You know, we keep talking about what is abundance. Well, abundance is sharing. It's knowing there's nothing missing, so this is somebody who went out, we shared the knowledge, and now they're sharing it with themselves by putting in action. That's right, that's right. Yeah, we live in a very abundant world of and small yard, and of course, one of the big pains of a small year, and when I first got here quite a few years ago, I was talking to my neighbor and he had one of those pushmowers, right, like there's no gas goes in, there's no electricity goes in, it just whirls around, and we were talking about it, and I said, you know, I think that's a great idea, and he says, well, he says, you're welcome to use it whenever you want, so I never had to buy a lawnmower, right? But the problem with the pushmower, of course, is that it doesn't do a very good job around it, no more, it does a very good job around the edges, right? So where the flower beds are, and there's kind of wood edges, I would always have this strip of high grass, right? And so another friend of mine was moving, and she said, and I don't know, I don't even know how it even came up, really, and she says, oh, I have one of those little weed whackers, it's electric, you just plug it in and think the way it goes. Oh, here you go, and she gave it to me, right? So today I was able to go around and trim all the edges of my lawn, which the size of my lawn takes, you know, 43 seconds. And I thought, and when I was doing it, you know, I had this real feeling of gratitude, and I thought, I am just, like, so fortunate, so lucky, so blessed, because, you know, these things just come to me, I don't really have to do anything to have them come, right? And it's just, and I think that that sort of abundance just keeps manifesting as I practice it more and more in all aspects of my life, and it's just, it's really fascinating to watch. Well, it's one of the things, actually, that we talked about on, as you know, we launched the equation for manifestation home study program at equationformanifestation.com, right? Yeah. And we gave a series of free video lessons there that were, I mean, there was over 800 comments just on one video alone, and there was a series of five. But by the time you got through to the fifth lesson, the lesson there was, I said, is one of the fundamental lessons that people miss when it comes to manifesting, and what is that? Well, the lesson is this, is pay attention to qualifying events. You know, if you're stating that you're living in an abundant world, but you're only looking at your bank account, and that's the only place you look, then, you know, it may be a little difficult to see the abundance at that given time. Yeah. But at the same time, recognizing that the guy next to us says, "Hey, you can use my loan more anytime you want no charge," and that somebody's handing you maybe a $30 weed whacker. Yeah, I'd say $150 weed whacker. Okay. You know, whatever it is, all those things allow you to, to, if you pay attention to recognize that these are qualifying events showing you that the abundance is on the way. And they're all things which make my life better. Yeah. Better and easier. Better and easier and fun, and I have more time now to do other things. Yeah, exactly. It's no fun getting a pair of scissors and crawling along the border, chopping off those few pieces of, of grass blades that I missed, you know. Even on, even on a loan that takes 45 seconds to mow. That's right. Even on a loan that's small. I also have an abundance of dandelions. Oh, dude? Yeah. Good food. I hear that. Yeah, they're actually very good for you. You can eat them. They're very good for you. Oh, maybe that's how I'll get rid of them. Yeah. I'm not even agreeing. Is that what you're telling me? This is a nice dandelion salad. They're very good for you. Massive free high in minerals and nutrients. Well, I, I know too that I heard once that if you have a lot of dandelions, what that means is the soil is getting depleted and the dandelion, of course, has a deep root so it goes down deep and it pulls the nutrients up from deeper into the soil. Yeah. You didn't know that. Yeah. So I think if you've got a problem with dandelions, look to the health of the soil of your, of your lawn. Very interesting. Yeah. So one of the things that I wanted to talk about because we had, we had mentioned, you know, the equation for manifestation. And a lot of people were talking about crashing and how do you, you know, when you have a catastrophe of some sort, and of course everybody judges, you know, for some person breaking their nail as a catastrophe for others, you know, it's running into a brick wall with a car. But, you know, when you have something in your art crashing, you know, you need to be able to come back from that. And I thought that was a really important issue that came up last week. Yeah. It was fascinating. As you said, in case you, any of our listeners don't know, last week I did a one-man 24-hour video marathon, which I broadcast live for 24 hours straight across the net. And what I did was I answered people's questions about manifestation and really dealt with a lot of the stuff that just doesn't get dealt with in this area, whether it was quantum physics or whether it was psychology or whether it was the metaphysical, and we went into all those areas. And people wrote in and they were in their questions, and many people wrote in wonderful, beautiful gratitudes, which was fantastic. But invariably there was a lot of people, you know, maybe it's the economic climate, or maybe it's any number of things. But people wrote in who were in, shall we say, diastrates. They had gone through horrendous divorces. They'd gone through a loss of a loved one. They had gone through tragic sickness or illness or diagnosis. They had gone through several people wrote in who were just on the brink of homelessness. And there was one lady who wrote in who, and this was the one that broke my heart. At the beginning of the week that I gave the free videos, she was homeless and suicidal. And by the end of that week of giving the free lessons and being on this broadcast, she had found somewhere to live and found a reason to be living and felt excited and invigorated. And this is a woman who had nothing and said, you know, I don't have the money to buy your home study program. I'm going to buy it. How's that? I mean, it was just amazing. So, you know, the theme that was constant was these people, many of them, who were going through these massively life-changing events, which had to put it mildly, not them on their ass. Yeah, it was the fault. I don't know if you know this or not, but last week, an actress committed suicide in Paris. And she had starred in two or three movies, one of which was a hit, she had a minor role. And basically, everyone thought she was going to be the next big actress. And I thought, wow, you know, here you've got this homeless person who doesn't know where to turn. It's thinking about being suicidal and starts changing her life around. Here you have someone that almost all of us would look at and say, wow, she's gorgeous. She's successful. She's this. She's that. And then she takes her life. It's just really sad. I think one of the great mistakes we make is by evaluating our lives against other people's lives, deciding that our life is better or is worse than somebody else's. And the point of the matter is that somebody's life can be an absolute desperation when they're homeless, and that seems quite obvious, or when they're diagnosed with a tragic disease. And of course, that seems obvious, but we don't understand what it's like to live in somebody else's shoes. And somebody can reach a state of enormous desperation being beautiful, being healthy, and living in a mansion. We don't know what it is. We tend to want to trade our life for someone else's life. And we don't realize that they have problems just like we do. There may be a different set of problems, but they still have at least the same amount that you have. And it's easy to make that decision about yourself. I remember a story of this lady who, she was a cleaning lady, and she was in some sky-rise, I think it was a condo-type place, right? And she was doing her cleaning or whatever, and she got on the elevator to go to the next floor, and Tom Hanks was on the elevator. And she looked up at him, and she said, "What's it like at the top?" And he looked down, and he said, "Lady, it doesn't matter where you are on the mountain, you got your ship." Is that right? That's right. Don't quote me as to that's exactly what he said, but that was- Something at least within that realm. I got my same problems that you got, "Lady, it doesn't matter where you are, right? We're all human." Well, we idealize somebody else's life. This is the big challenge. We're constantly idealizing somebody else's life and saying that I would trade them in a moment. But you don't know, and the fact that our matter is, what does it take for you to come back? And there's something I said repeatedly throughout the broadcast. I think that in my reality, based on my research, and this is what I believe is the truth, it's not the truth in quotations, but I believe, based on everything that I've done research-wise, that we create our own reality. And what I mean by that is everything that shows up in your life is there because you attracted it into your life. And at the same time, you don't consciously create all that. Most of it is created unconsciously, and a lot of the stuff that shows up is not what you would consciously choose to have. God knows I have to set up shows up in my life that I'm not happy about. At the same time, it's understanding that life will knock you on your ass. That's just what's going to happen. Please accept that. Life is going to knock you on your ass. The question is, will you get up? And how long will it take you to get up? That's what you've got to ask. And I think that people do get knocked down, and we have to look at the people who have been diagnosed. I have a couple of friends, two friends actually right off the top of my head, who have been diagnosed with terminal cancer, who are completely well, who are completely healthy years later. I have had friends who have become bankrupt and got down the toilet from having very promising successful careers to go and absolutely broke and come back. I've had friends who have been in horrible, horrible relationships and divorces, who have found their soulmates and become terrifically happy. You know, I've had friends who were 100 to 150 pounds overweight, who have come back to be in the most spectacular shape you've ever seen. So, it's not about whether life knocks you down. I think we've got to kind of go, "Alright, that's just what happens." The question is, how long will you wallow in it in self pity, and how long will you get up? And you're okay, it's okay to wallow in it for a while. You don't live there. No, I mean, I think it's part of the grief. You've got to feel it, but you can't move in. Right, right. And well, and that's the thing too, is we're feeling beings, right? So we're going to feel something, and oftentimes it's totally appropriate, and, you know, like if someone that you care for dies, you feel grief, right? I mean, that's just the way it is. I mean, to not feel grief is, that would be a problem, right? Yeah, well, it would be very unhealthy. It wouldn't be functional for us. We need to be able to feel those feelings. It's a very important thing to do. Yeah. And at the same time, it's important not to get stuck in it, so it's to be with it, but not in it, not get stuck there. That's right. It keeps like 20 years later, if you're still solving the way you were when it happened, you've got a lot of work ahead of you. Exactly. So, you know, it's the thing I would say to each one of our listeners, as you listen to this, I don't know what place you're in. But if you're in a place where it feels like everything's gone, you've lost hope, and there's no chance. I want you to understand something. I want you to hear me with all of your heart, with all of your soul. You cannot possibly, for a moment, see all the avenues. And there are, miracles happen every single day, but miracles are not passive, they're active. You've got to stay wide open. You've got to pay attention. You've got to keep doing what you do to bring you what it is that you want, to bring you the kind of joy in your life that you want. Because ultimately, joy is the only measure of success that counts. And you've got to understand that you don't know, there's no way for you to know what something means in the big picture over time. The most devastating things that'll ever happen to you may indeed become the greatest things, as we talked about in a previous podcast, when I felt, you know, that was the worst thing that could have happened to me in that moment. But later I discovered it was the best thing that could have happened to me. We don't know that. And if you don't give up, don't give up on your dreams, don't give your hopes, don't give up on your heart, don't give up on your soul, don't give up on those things that really, really matter to you. I know you've been beaten down. I know they told you it's not possible. I know it looks desperate right now, and it feels desperate right now, and the bank account says it's desperate right now, or the X says it's desperate right now, or whatever it is that says it's not possible. I want you to know something. There are people out there who love you, who care about you. You may not even be able to think of in this moment. There are people who want to support you, who are behind you, but you have got to get up. And you've got to look at your life from another perspective and ask a power empowering question. What miracles? What magnificent things await me that I presently have no awareness of? Ask that question. What miracles are what magnificent answers to my challenges await me that I presently have no awareness of? Ask that question over and over and over again, and things begin to shift. Everything changes when your feelings changes, because your resonance changes, and that changes what you attract. The other thing too is we have this wonderful thing called time. As you were talking, Dove, you reminded me of a time when I was in Grade 8, and I had to do a social studies geography talk on Marco Polo. It was on Friday, and it was on Monday that I remember this, and I was so upset and so worried and so afraid of getting up in front of 30, Grade 8, and a teacher and talking to them about Marco Polo. And I thought this, and it was just like twisting me inside out, and I just was amazed how upset I was, right? And then I said, I got to do something about this, right? Like I just can't even walk. So I said, well, what I know about Saturday is I'm playing tennis in the morning with two of my best friends, and I love playing tennis, so no matter what happens Friday at 2 p.m., Saturday at 9, I'm playing tennis. And that thought just changed everything, right? And of course now, could you imagine, now I get up routinely in front of 600,000 people and talk, not about Marco Polo, but it's no big deal. I mean, it is a big deal always, but for not the same way it was a big deal when I was in Grade 8, right? But I often look back at that time and I thought, you know, and now, whenever there's an event coming up that I'm not looking forward to, whether it's I don't have money for the rent or I'm about to go to court for divorce or whatever awful thing it may be in my mind, I just go, yeah, well, that's on Friday and Saturday I'm playing tennis, right? And that's what helps me get through those sort of times because I realize it's the mind, it's just going nuts. And of course, the Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock is never as bad as my mind makes it out to be. The mind likes to catastrophize things right in front of it. And really, it's a matter of where are you going to put your focus? What are you going to put your focus on? Are you going to put your focus on that you're going to be down and out? Are you going to put your focus on that you're going to be desperate or are you going to put your focus on something else? You know, can you find something to focus on that is of beauty that will remind you of the magnificence of your own life somewhere? And that is, you know, that's what I want to leave today's podcast with is keeping the open mind to something that you're not aware of yet. And that's kind of weird, but it's just what I'm trying to explain to the people who are in that very desperate place where they've been knocked on their ass and they don't feel like they can get up is I just want to ask you to remind yourself that you don't have all the information. You may feel like you have all the information, but we all know that something can come out of nowhere and change absolutely everything. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. That's right. And you see that in movies all the time, right? I mean, that's what makes a good movie is the hero or the hero one is in an impossible situation. There's no way out and then something that they didn't know about happens and they save the day. Yeah. And you know, there's always a subplot to your life. That's right. And you may not be aware of that subplot until it emerges. So keep open and keep believing in the magnificence of your own life and all the wonderful things that can happen. Like I said, there are people who love you, you can't even think of at this moment. Right. So, Dav, is somebody wanting to know more about the equation for manifestation or the work that you do? How could they find out? Yeah. If you want to know more about me, about what it is we do, you can simply go to my blog, which has got all kinds of great writings on it for you that you can read, which is a D-O-V-B-A-R-O-N.com. And if you really want to find out about the equation for manifestation home study program that has DVDs and CDs and a workbook and really, really gives you the entire process of how manifestation works and actually includes my new book in there. That is at the equation, sorry, it's at equation for manifestation.com, equation for manifestation.com. And if you go there, you'll find out all kinds of things. And also right there are those five free video lessons for you. They're still there, we've kept them up for a while, and you can go and have a watch of those and look for your free feedbacks. And talk about this podcast, about the... Next up is all that kind of ideas. This podcast is a part of the C-suite Radio Network. For more top business podcasts, visit c-suiteradio.com (bell chimes)
