the first of the year. Hello, everybody. It's Joe. He's a can welcome to the fired up network. Welcome to a special Euro 24 or update with the hall of famer John Freeman Nelson, the coach is coming his hair. He says he'll be back shortly. But you know, he has a little bit of on here. He doesn't have short hair. It's going to take a little while to come that thing. That's it. Okay. So we're getting into a quarter of finals around the 16. Starts tomorrow Saturday at noon. Chocolate versus I wish the guy with the hair was here versus Italy, Switzerland, Italy, who you got this one. I mean, Italy, I think is favored in the juice boxes in this one. And the Italy, as as Carmel tell you, they're a team in transition. You're trying to finally get it to the point to where you're letting the younger talent shine for for forza italia. And I mean, they're favored. They should make it through. I think they got, but one of the better matchups in the round of 16 between teams that aren't, you know, like the one 16 matchup. So I mean, if you want to call this like the eight nine or something in that if you want to use college college basketball tournament identification, I think Italy's got a good chance to get through to the final aid. I think that they really can handle things right now there to plus 147 in the juice boxes draws a plus 190. And Switzerland in the composites a plus 252. I think that Italy this this tournament will be a learning experience. Hopefully for them. I think that Italy makes their way through. All right. I sort of agree with that. And I think it's going to be sort of I sort of agree with that. No, it's going to be harder. I think it's not going to be a two nil game or whatever. If somebody wins, it's going to be one nil or two ones, something like that. Now, 3 p.m. on Saturday, Germany, Denmark, and they play in Germany. And I don't even know, you know, because Denmark always always plays hard. You think Germany takes this one? Oh, yeah. I think they do. I mean, at the end of it all, I had France beating France. I had France beating Germany in Germany and people going home sad. So I guess I still kind of have to stick to that. I can't change my predictions all the way, you know, it's like over in the round of 16. I have to change my prediction. So by default, I say that Germany wins this one and I still maintain Germany makes it to the final and loses to France. But I think right now, I think that Germany, no problems with Denmark, Denmark right now is north of plus five, 10, and Germany is at a minus 152 in the composite. So I think that this is going to be something that Germany handles fairly easily. All right. What a draw for England. If they get their Mojo going, they got a, I'm not going to say an easy draw, but on Sunday at noon, we got England versus Slovakia. We got here. Oh, I mean, this is, it's it's England. And it's, you know, it's just it's painful right now to watch England and what they're what they're up to. So this, you know, I don't necessarily give the, the chance here considering what the the juice boxes are. But, I mean, you look at the numbers. England's a minus 233 Slovakia is just under plus 880 England should. Let me phrase it this way. England should take care of business. Let me phrase it that way. England should do it. And then they get the winner of Switzerland and Italy, you know, after a long week's rest. So England, it opens up for them. If they take care of business, we've seen no offense. Phil Foden back with the team after the birth of a child. And congratulations to, to Phil Foden and his family and his, his SO for that. But I just, I think this opens up for England. And it is a friendly, it is a friendly bracket for them for what could go down with Austria, Turkey, Romania, and the Netherlands. This is, it is a friendly bracket for them. They just have to take care of business. And I think that they do in this first step. I agree. Then Sunday at three. I know I'm going to be watching Spain versus Georgia. No, not Atlanta, Georgia. Yeah. Paul, you know, Paul, you know, Spain ain't handled what's been going on with, with what we've seen from Georgia. And this is that 116 matchup that, you know, we talk about a lot. Spain's a minus 500. And Georgia is almost the plus 1500 to win in 90 minutes. But what I think you've seen from, from Georgia is a coach that knows how to dial it up in a postseason tournament. And they did what they needed to do. Portugal put in their shadow 11 or whatever. Roberto Martinez had eight changes from the, the match day two to the match day three. And you figured that since they had clenched, he might do some rotating. I didn't think it was going to be this much rotating. But when you look at the Georgian side, and you see a, a mama das Villain net and he's done really well. You see, correct, Scalia. And he was responsible. And this is the other thing that you see with, with Georgia is their stout defensively and they're clinical with their chances. They're lethal in transition. And you got to see that going up against Portugal in that third matchup that got them into the round of 16. You score in the first handful of minutes of our scalia does off a moment of transition. And you have your striker up top and make out, who's loan is up at Mets now that they've been relegated. Does he go back to Ajax does, you know, what, what is the future hold for me. Cause, but that, that running three that they have up front in that fourth in the, in the four three three is causing problems. I don't think they necessarily, I think they cause problems in this matchup against Spain. And when it, I think it'd be hilarious if they did, but they've got weapons and they're clinical and you've got a hot keeper right now in that mama das Villain. So anything as possible as we know in postseason tournaments, but this is that one 16 matchup I think that Spain goes through. All right. And the next match on Canada Day. Yes, Monday, July 1 Canada Day. So happy Canada Day to everybody out there. And it's France France Belgium at noon. I think France gets this one there to minus 108. And I think that Belgium right now is at a plus 380. I just think that France is firepower. If I get their head screwed on straight, I think that they take care of business. No problem. And then in the, the back end of the double header on July 1, I think Portugal takes care of Slovenia. This one might be that 215 matchup where if Spain and George is the one 16 Portugal and Slovenia might be the one to the 215 Portugal is at a minus 256 Slovenia is at a plus eight and a quarter. I think that Portugal takes care of business. I think they've learned the lessons of what happened in the last last matchup in group stage. And I think they take it out on Slovenia. So you might want to look at a total too. All right. Then Tuesday. I know I'm going to be watching noon Romania, Netherlands and that three Austria and Turkey Netherlands and Romania. This might be that 314 that we look at Netherlands. Well, the minus 222 Romania is at a plus 715. I think the Netherlands take care of business there. Austria against Turkey, Austria is at a minus 111 and Turkey is a plus 371. This might be the 413. So somewhere in there, if you're looking at margins with juice boxes. So I think that barring something we don't foresee July 2 is going to be chalk and then lesser chalk. I think that Netherlands take the Duke of Romania and Austria beats Turkey. All right. And then they get three days off for the Euro 2024. They again, July 5th, noon and then that three, but July 4th is before July 5th and John being from the United States of America. I am. Yes. And you put me to sleep with this presidential election for two hours. I was at the U.S. and I was at the U.S. Panama match. I wasn't even watching it. Well, I shouldn't have been watching. I'm Canadian. I have to be watching how the president probably never mind. All right, John, as we close it out, tell everybody how they can get ahold of you social media wise.
