Hello everybody, this is Joseph Hasek and welcome to the Florida Web Network. Welcome to the NHL lowdown for Wednesday, June 26th. The Heigover Connects and Chicago Blackhawks have a trade in place that will send either my Kailav, the right to forward Sam Lafferty, and the second on pick to the Windy City for our fourth round pick. The second rounder is in 2025 and the fourth rounder in 2027. Kailav has a monotide, no trade clause enabling him to submit a 12 team, no trade this, but waived it for a trade to the Blackhawks. In other NHL news, the NHL makes four rule changes for next season. The rule changes are for the 24-25 season. A coaches challenge is now permitted in order to apply a penalty for puck out of play. Also, there is a tweak to the rule 63.8 so the defensive team can't make a line change in the event its goaltender accidentally dislodges the net. After a nice thing, the offensive center will now receive one warning. The referee will now provide the offensive team's head coach and player with one warning as well. And, in case you missed it, the Canucks resigned Laffer to a two-year $3.6 million deal. Anaheim and Los Angeles have new jerseys.
