Sunday, June 23: Shopaholic's Guide By Izzy
Hi everybody! Welcome to the ninth episode of the Shopaholics Guide by Izzy. A different background than normal. Thought I'd just change it up. So I'm so happy. I'm so excited. It's the ninth episode. I wanted to say thank you to everybody for continuing to follow me on this journey. Thank you for following me on Instagram. So this week's random is I get a lot of migraines on the regular unfortunately and I've tried so many different things, many different medications. I'm on actually a maintenance drug plan now because of my migraines but it's something that I will unfortunately have to live with for the rest of my life. It is what it is but I was recommended to get a day piercing. That is it's on part of your lobe. So I did. I'm just going to show you really quickly. It's that piercing. I got that done last Friday and it was very painful. I actually have a real that you'll see shortly where I actually talked about it on the actual day but yes it was very painful. It wasn't instantaneous like your regular lobe earring, piercing but I'm glad I did it. I don't regret it. I don't know whether it's it's actually doing anything, a placebo effect but because there's absolutely no backing to medical backing to this whatsoever. There's no medical evidence that this actually does happen but what they say is that it is the pressure point. So where the piercing is, it's a pressure point that may help relieve some sort of pressure off of your brain or your head. I don't know how to explain it. Again not a doctor here but it's a pressure point that will help alleviate some of the pain from your migraine. So what I've experienced so far is I noticed that I actually forget that I have it on and sometimes I act because I forget that I have it on. I accidentally poke my ear thinking I need to scratch my ear and it's out there. It's painful and the only time it's really sensitive is when I have to clean it because I have to clean it twice a day with the two different types of solution that they've recommended. I will of course buy whatever solution that they want because the last thing I want is to be uncomfortable and to end up getting an infection. But I noticed yesterday the night before and yesterday morning I noticed that it's starting to ache which I was very surprised because I would assume it would start to ache after which is what I was expecting. But it started to ache so I did call the place it's called Blooms in Toronto. They are amazing. They were very gentle and kind. The owner actually picked out this beautiful piece of jewelry. Great taste by the way. So I did call Blooms yesterday just to check in with them and see if this is normal. But they said everybody's different so it's hard to gauge what is considered normal but I was recommended to just take an Advil some sort of ibuprofen and maybe just ice it for comfort and diff it some swelling which I did and it has helped. And this morning it's only it was only uncomfortable again while I was cleaning it. So I'm hoping that there aren't any other issues but stay tuned. I will keep you posted on my recovery. I'm told that it can take two to three months to heal fully so I'm hoping it does not take that long. I've heard people takes about a year for them so I'm hoping that does not apply to me. I hope that I like my cousin who apparently well she was the one that recommended to go to this particular place because she also suffers from migraines and she also got her death piercing and my cousin apparently it took her a week to recover and that was it but she has great tolerance for pain and a fast healer apparently. So I'm hoping I would be just as lucky and that I do not get any infection. So up next I said that I would show different blue outfits because I'm always showing black outfits because it is my favorite color but blue is also my favorite color as well so I will show you different blue outfits and how to style them. Enjoy. Hey everybody okay very first navy blue outfit that we are going to accessorize today. This is a plain no print dress and I like it because it just blouses out and it's not too short so it's office friendly and I accessorized it with this cute necklace that has a bit of gold and some white the clover. It's very pretty and I stacked with these two great bracelets. I like the fact that they're both gold and silver on this particular bracelet because that means you could wear it with another gold piece which as I said before a lot of the times now they are mixing and matching different metals and this bracelet I actually picked up from Shane. Such a great little piece. It's so cute. I love the little designs on them. I'll be talking about them a little later on on my later reels and I paired it with this nice deep gold earrings and I also paired it with these sandals, Michael Kors. Nice and neutral so it will match the outfit. Nothing too crazy and then I also will pair it with this. Again you don't have to match your purse with your shoes, the color of your shoes. That style is long gone now so as I think if it's a similar color with your shoes I think you can get away with it or using a black purse because it's your go-to purse because it's large enough. I don't really think it's a big deal. I like it. I'll be right back. Hi okay second blue dress. I actually got this from Amazon at a great price it's under $23. You should run to my link tree and pick up one for yourself. There are so many different colors. It's actually they're really really cute and such a great price. This dress I also picked up. It's not part of our blue genre but I have it hanging here and I thought this also is from Amazon. Great great price so check it out. Okay back to the business at hand. This I kept the same jewelry because I think it would match really well with this dress. I love the neckline. It's it's very comfortable and and loose as well. It's a really nice style and again I matched it with the same shoes from before because it's a nice neutral color and you can match it with so many different outfits not just blue but I really like this color actually. It's it's such a refreshing color perfect for a very hot day like today. It's nice and light and loose and it's a beautiful color. It's a perfect summer color. I'll be right back. Actually I lied. I'm back again with the same outfit. I forgot to show you the purse. This actually you can wear this dress to the office pair it with a blazer because some offices are quite cool. So this purse is the perfect size for a office purse. Throw in all your stuff in there including your your laptop even your lunch. I think it's a such a great piece together and again it's not the same color as the sandals but because it's a blue blue purse it matches nicely with the outfit. This time I'll be right back. Okay third blue outfit. I bought this machine and I am absolutely in love with it. I love the style of it. The puffy sleeves as I you might have heard me mention on my previous reels. I love this style. It's a very Filipino style actually the big puffy sleeves and this is actually under 15 dollars. I just love the style. I love that it's not overly fitted. I love the length of it because because of my size my height I find any maxi dresses or skirts. They tend to make me look heavier or it's not very flattering for me so I prefer to have my dresses or skirts just above the knee and I paired it with these sandals. Another great comfortable sandal and here we go again with this cute little purse. It's it's such an easy solution. You don't need anything overly fancy. This was one of the dupes from Amazon and I paired it this time with silver so normally you might have heard me mention before. I don't usually like bracelets that are have the clasp here because it is quite time-consuming unless your partner is nearby to assist and clasp it on for you but I couldn't resist because I love the style of it. It's a very very cute little bling to it. Let me just raise that up there. Such a great style with nice pearls here and then as I just said look at these bracelets. It's so easy to put on. I don't have to fiddle around with them and they are also from Amazon. Great, great price. You should really run to my lintry and check out all the great Amazon finds there because a lot of them are a really great, great price because I don't want to spend a lot of money either so figured you're in the same boat as well. Look at this. What a great easy outfit. Again no print, very simple but the color itself. It's so vibrant and then you accessorize it and you just add to the outfit. I'll be right back. The final blue outfit. This dress is from my favorite store up here in Aurora. So remember if you're in Toronto, come on up. We're not that far from Toronto. Just maybe a 20, 25 minute highway ride and you will see all the great items that she has in her store and every other Wednesday she does have a live on Instagram where she is selling 40 and 20 dollar pieces. It's more like on an auction where whoever comes in first on their end on their Instagram gets the item. Great prices and they also have a 50 and 70 percent off rack so you got to check it out in their store. You never know what you will find because she adds stuff daily and that's all I've got in stuff. Bye Fluke. She just happened to put it on particular outfit, particular top, blazer or what have you and I just lock it out. So you should come on up here and check it out. Okay last outfit. This dress I've actually worn to the office. So I will find stand so this time I will put it on with this. Use this purse because again great purse to use to the office. Throw in your laptop, your lunch, your makeup stuff and you're good to go. So again I have matched over these. So I kept the same jewelry again. I love this. It's understated but it's beautiful still and again the easy easy breezy bracelets. I know this one isn't so much but I love the style of it and paired it with these. I hope I've been able to give you some ideas. I like the design on it and the nice sleeves. I like the round neckline. We'll dry this on. It's a little wrinkled but I like the color. The neckline is different. I like that square neckline. Like the cute sleeves with the elastic. It's a nice little touch. Use my watch band as a an accessory as well that comes with this. A microphone when I'm taping reels. We'll try it out later and we'll see how the sound quality is. I'll be right back. Okay I'm back. I'm not loving that it came wrinkled. So I'll have to iron that out once I actually wear it. But again I love this neckline. This square neckline is very different. I love the sleeves and it's not even even though there's an elastic. It's not tight on the arms and I like the length of it. Let's try on the white one. Hey all right I really like this one. I love the quality too. It's very thick but not too thick where I'll be too sweaty in the summer. Again I like this print. I love the round neckline and the sleeves. It's not as a puffy sleeve style but it's still not your regular looking sleeve. Wow I'm very impressed with these summer spring slash summer tops. So it has, I love the little cute paw print and then nice little hearts and a little some bullying to it. The paw heartbeat. It's so adorable. It reminds me of my Murphy. Such a great design. But first I wanted to wish all the fathers out there the regular daddies, the dog daddies, the guanadaddies, the cat daddies, any kind of daddy out there. I hope you all have a great day and are spoiled and not asked to do any handiwork today. All right onto the business at hand. Let's do my second sheen haul. So excited. It actually came a lot faster than I thought this time around. Let's do jewelry because jewelry is fun and I don't want it to get lost in the shuffle. Look how pretty she is. Oh look I actually have a clover one as well but in black now I have this one. Gold as well but it's clear. Such a nice design. I like it. Next is, I don't remember, is this a dress rumper? It's another dress. Oh very cute. It's a little longer than I thought but we'll try it on. Again I did size up because their sizing is smaller. I like this print. I can open this up. So another look how pretty this print is. I'm hoping it's not as boxy as this looks. We'll try it on. Another bracelet but I like it because they have the different shades so kind of like a fake rose gold, a silver and a gold and I like the hearts. It's a nice little design there for different design for each. Let's see that stand in the background. All right let me try them on. Okay first dress. It is a little more boxy but I do like the loose fitting. It's a great print. I do love that design and it matches really nicely. Well it might not. It actually just falls into the background with the necklace so I might wear a different kind of necklace and maybe I will put on a belt with this. It's a nice print though. I like the cap sleeves. I love the neckline. It is a cute print. I'll be right back. Okay the next one. I like the fit. It is nice and loose. Maybe I could put in a belt just to show make it a little bit more fitted. Again obsessed with these puffy sleeves. They're so cute. I love it. It's such a cute style and it looks great with with my necklaces, my clover necklace and it's a button at the back. I've never mentioned before but I hate dresses with zippers. I don't like having to fiddle around with zippers. I prefer the dresses where outfits where I can just throw over my head and be done with it or in this case a little button like this. But yes I don't like zippers. And the older I get I don't really like to fit around behind my back. But yes I'm loving this dress. It's a great style and remember all these are great prices. Welcome back.
