The Veil of Isis, a Cthulhu by Gaslight, Golden Dawn actual play, with David Larkins as the keeper of our King Lord. You left off on the Nominus Notes, so we'll take up on it in a second. I mean, you're unconscious right now, I know, I'm kind of, it says we're dead. We won't find a Merlin's case. You guys are on your way to Merlin's case. Well, we've heard terrible tale of wolves and the worst things. Wolves and worst. And we read from beyond, and you were like, "Just read it." I read it and I watched it. Oh, you know, it's as far as flying as I remember. Right on. I just shot their shaking my head like, "No." No, real? For real? No. It's a good story, that was made exactly that. Well, I am so much HP love for our queen. So, I was like, "I remember this one." I remember it ending well. They all do. Some of them end badly on it. It's a dream quest. That was my favorite. It's mostly because they're just like in a totally different realm now. It's more fantasy. It's like Lord Duncy fantasy. Yep. We're not in one of those. Oh, let's be forget. The other kind. The other kind. It's tied with two, three twists. Oh, no. And he's on it again. And he got him some little faceless men. Rip acid on his teeth. He can just let it go. No. All right. You still have two or three good teeth. I know. She's got an old chopper. Who would have more chopper? Yes, it begins. Oh, man. So, yes. Yes, it is. The other half of the split party. Guys, don't watch. Give me that. Sherry. Are off to Merlin's Cape. Oh, yeah. No, I just wanted to do a little preamble about splitting the party and everything in real life. You'll recall, of course, in our first session I sent you all off to the office. That was because the adventure called for it. You know, they said, no, the player is off. No. All right, fine. I played a lot. Normally, I don't do that because my thought is it's more fun to be an audience member of something that's happening to other people. So, but if you guys like it better to be sent off and not know, like literally not know what's going on, then that's fine too. But, you know, I can just say that to you guys. Yeah, that makes me cranky. I want to know. Yeah, I stopped doing that years ago when I sent a bunch of players out and had one player at the table. And then this like amazing sequence played out. And it's just the two of us to do it. Oh, yeah. And so when everyone came back, we're like, oh my God, you should have said that. Yeah, you missed it. Yeah. I think it's good for little piecing out little information because it creates an air of mystery. Sometimes, it's a minor thing. It was perfect for that. Yeah, but that one time, yeah. But that is really nothing you could take it to the next level with. Yeah. What is it? We could all kind of handle characters not knowing that stuff. Yeah. Because like, you know, with Celeste, you might be going off on your own at some point. That might be. Yeah. I might have to. And I've learned to spell. Fabulous. Okay. That could be helpful. Exactly. It could be helpful. It's a teleportation spell. Oh, nice. It's called make which go blow off now. It's only. See, I was thinking like, we should go back and get explosives with that I thought. No. Literally. Look at that. Mine was here. Does it? Has it ran from beyond? Oh, my goodness. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my God. He hasn't been written yet. He didn't give that email. You know. You didn't have to empty. Yeah. Yeah. We do. We do. How about 1860s? Oh, whoa. All right, then. We can open the surface. It was ancient Chinese secret. Oh, that would be so cool. If you do like demolitions and stuff somehow. Let me try my slabs. Oh, no. No, that's one of them. Okay. So at any rate. Back with the other group here. Oh, my God. Is it started? Yes. Yes. Oh, we are. We're going. We're going. We're going. Oh, okay. Oh, yeah. And I did chop off the first 15 minutes. I did talk to Desiree. Both her characters are basically out of commission right now, and she's fine with that. Okay. Okay. She's loving the ride. She's loving the ride, you know. Well, I think the floating mustache could give it a nice, or something. Mm. Turn back. Turn back. Turn back. It's the ghost of Pike. It's very experience. Hi, guys. It's going to be very good there. No. The dresses take my thing. Yeah. Oh, whatever. All right. So, it is Sunday morning of the 17th of the day. And as Robin and Oswald, they ate construction. As Robin and Oswald have headed off to Beck Green. Yeah. And they would in uncertain futures. Yes. The rest of you have hired a coach to take you south towards the Peak District and Merlin Cave. Okay. Now, I do want to note that I did, I think I did mention something. I was taking a box of shotgun shells with me. Okay. Good to know. I do remember you saying that. And you're loaded for bear. Well, I've got a shotgun at a box of shells. I mistakenly believe that's enough to-- I'm just thinking. Yes. Shot or slug? All right. How are you rolling? Um, I have to admit, I don't know the difference. A slug is basically just a giant bullet that gets fired out of the shotgun. Shot is a bunch of tiny little pellets. A shot? Yeah. It would be a shot because Miles knows he's an awful shot. Deep in his heart, if he knows, he's happy with me. That looks great. Oh, that explains a lot. It does explain a lot. It was a bad one. You had been thinking about this guy. You did some other issues. Those are other issues. Oh, dear. Oh, let's go. Orphans? All right. So-- Oh, no, they're all. Wait, what did you say for me? Oh, orphans talk about, they think about that stuff. They don't have stuff. They don't have stuff. They don't have stuff. They don't have stuff. They don't have stuff. They don't have stuff. They don't have stuff. They don't have stuff. They don't have stuff. They don't have stuff. No, they don't have stuff. No, they don't have stuff. No, they don't have stuff. They don't have stuff. No, they don't have stuff. No, they don't have stuff. No, they don't have stuff. No, they don't have stuff. No, they don't have stuff. No, they don't have stuff. No, they don't have stuff. None the less. It does take you another two hours to explore it fully. Nothing's just dead end. All right. It's a job for gypsy children. That's right. To the encampment. To the encampment. Oh my goodness. How are you guys going to even do this? You reemerge out of the cave and it is solid nighttime. It is dark. It is cold. You can see your breath pumping out in front of you. How far was it to the gypsy cave? Oh, an idea roll would get you back there. I failed mine miserably. Failed. You have no idea. It is pitch dark. The moon isn't up yet. Can you listen for the sound of crazy violins? Go for the smell of roasting land meat. Yes. No, your best bet, of course, would be the trail that you followed in. You know that that would take you back to that pub. But as far as heading out cross country to look for the gypsy cave. There was a pub at the trailhead on the highway. All right. I don't remember that. I don't either. It takes like an hour. Wait a minute. I just remember there was a pub down there. All right. All right. Let's go to the pub. Okay. What's a pub called? Merlin's sword? Merlin's beard. Merlin's beard. Merlin's beard. Like, by Merlin's beard. Exactly. I'd drink there. Okay. So, yeah, it does take you an hour to, uh, to wind your way back up the trail. You have to cross the stream, which is not nearly as warm as the spring water was. So, you're freezing cold. Sure. You're wet. Yes. You're miserable. Yes. You show up. Angry. Angry. Well, what are you doing? Yeah, frustrated. Pines. Pines all around. It's the name of the pub. You know, typical English pub. Entering. There is a fire going. Thanks. There's a good dozen people, you know, sitting around, nursing their pints. So, the public in behind the counter. Oh, welcome in, strangers. Do we see? Do we see? Whiskey Governor. Same. Hot toddy. I'll drink something very early, I guess. Mm-hmm. I want a cider. Cider, yeah. Cider, please. Is your cider strong? Ice. Can I have a bite? Yeah. Ice cider, please. Oh, wow. Does anybody know what proportion of the population of little people? Oh, like percentage in general? Yeah. Like what are the odds there's a midget in the pub? Is that? Seven to ten percent? Or what are these people those three percent? Seven to ten percent, I say. Oh, I rolled a 14. No. No luck. Oh, what did you roll against? Seven to ten percent? I rolled against seven. Yeah. Yeah. It's a good idea. Yeah. It was a good idea. Because there would be leper cleanser in too. Oh, no, the cider was here. I think that it was. Hobbits, at least. Any hobbits? No. Hobbits. So, the public in, you know, he serves you drinks and kind of eyeballs you all. Oh, been out hiking the countryside, I see. Do you want to spill it? Just wait. I'm going to try and talk of it to help him be finder. My sister. My sister, the kitchen. Mm-hmm. We're just doing it. Holy mackerel, zero one. Wow. Again. Again. That's a zero one. Okay, zero one. So, he listens to... Well, my sister starts a game. He starts crying as well. Right. It's terrible. Yes. I think I could hear stuck in one of the small passages. Oh, okay, there you go. We need to organize a search party. She's shouting. C'mon. This is, this is, this is terrible. That is, I'm telling. It is horrible. It is horrible. Can you think of any way that we could get into some of the smaller passages? Uh, many ways. Oh, you know, I grew up out here. Uh-huh. And, uh, I tell you, I explored every inch of that cave and... Oh, really? And, uh, yeah, some of those passages are pretty narrow. I don't think an adult could, uh, fit down those passages. If your sister went down that way, she may be stuck. We need to get a search party going. Oh, yeah. I'm curious, too. I mean, she was, uh, what would have drawn her in there in the first place? I mean, I know she was studying, uh, geology and stuff, but she, there was something about it that she, uh, this wouldn't tell me. I'm curious if there's any, anything about that cave that I should know? Not to my knowledge. Like I said, I, I think I went up and down every passage in that cave. No, there was a pub in the trailer. I didn't even know what to say. I didn't even know what to say about this. I know. All right. Well, um, if I'm the record, it was recorded. It's not clear. It's not clear. You need to recap. Oh, I'm gonna check that tape. Yeah. Yeah. So do we, do we let, do we let, do we let it organize a switch party and go in there? No, she's never good. You know what, on the other hand, she's probably dead. I didn't really like her. I get a room now. Yeah, exactly. A room now. She'll be missed. Oh my God. I regret nothing. I regret nothing. I regret nothing. I regret nothing. Everyone knows. I ever say that before. There's a family crest. We regret nothing. We regret nothing. We're gonna need some kids. Yeah. A lot of why I'm ready, kids. Just teach all night. Show the clock. Show the clock. Show the clock. Show the clock. We grew up here. And he was digging around from him, digging around to think he didn't. And he was a kid. If he didn't find anything. We have to say that every inch of this cave. Oh, sure. Most local kids. You know, it's sort of a. It's sick. This was the kids, you know. It's a hangout. It's a hideout. It's a secret. Make up. It's a promising place. It's a interesting place. When you're a little older, he blushes a little. Oh dear. Oh dear. I might miss dear wife. Can you shy around me? I have a doctor. It's nothing I haven't seen before. No. Go on. Yeah. Nothing I haven't watched before from behind one way here. Oh. Oh my god. That was the interest of science. That was the interest of science. My finger is steeple. I'm stroking my beard. Oh. Oh. Science can be fun. Oh my god. So he's coming. I'm going to be out of my body. I'm just associating. The clock behind the bar begins to chime 11. Oh my goodness. Is it an inn? It's just a pub. Oh snap. Is there any place to stay? Oh, the best part would be Helmsdon. It's only about a few miles up the road. My feet are just 20 minutes. They're 20 minutes out there. Hey, they're talking. I want to say carriage over. We're speaking carriage. Exactly. So he singles to one of the gentlemen. Would you be amenable to renting your carriage? These fine folks, they've been out on the country side all day. They're not up for the walk back to Helmsdon. Would you mind? I'm sure they'll make it worth your time. Yes, of course. Large sum of money. He drains like half his pint in one. Oh man. Nice. All right. All right. Don't we recognize your mom? No hurt. No hurry. Yeah, the carriage is all over the road. Don't worry. This time of night, the odds are running into someone else. Yeah, exactly. You killed an egg. You killed an egg. No. The horse side is. People are fine. The horse side is. The horse left behind a widow in three small children. Oh. Oh. All right. All in word. Back to Helmsdon. Back to Helmsdon. All right. So of course, there was a black house on Sycamore Circle. And the five o'clock. The queen and the hotel. Those were all the five o'clock. Five o'clock. Yeah. Well, is back green on the way too? No. Helmsdon is between Merlin Cave and back green. Oh, I should. I don't know that we should go into the five o'clock. I imagine stand hopes told them some stories. Oh, wow. Well, the five o'clock is in back green, isn't it? Yes. I would be going to Helmsdon. You are in Helmsdon. Yeah, so we're not in Helmsdon. All right. I said the hotel. I saw the cabin in back green, right? But you saw Josephine. Lily? Yeah. You're back in back green. Yeah. With Josephine. Help me. Yeah, I know. You saw the desert. Oh, what? Oh, no. Oh, no. I love you. I love you. I love you. I mean, it more now than I ever have. Will you marry me? No. You gave us a proposal. All right. All right. All right. Well, you're doing the homework spell. Yeah, no, it's for specials only. For special things. She's going to lose sanity every time you travel. Yeah, it's a big deal. You want to make it count, basically. I lose two magic coins. Yeah, I can tell you're giving up your energy to do this. Not to explore. Yeah. It's hell. Honestly, I said that we stay at the hotel. And I guess checking if maybe Mr. Black in the morning. Providing is alive, which she probably won't be. Well, do you want to go there now then? I wonder. I wonder. Here's a really goofy talk. All right. Maybe there's a way to communicate with a tooth rapist and see what I'm going to do with a little cabbard. What do they actually call? What? What do they call? Are they brownies or are they little evil imps? You can call them something other than tooth rapists, whatever you like. I think they keep the limbs. They call them imps. Let's call them imps. Well, okay. Actually, no great play. I've restarted with them. Let's start by reasoning with the imps. They don't have faces. Yeah. They're faces evil imps. And they're made out of human teeth. They're made of ash and teeth. So someone is controlling them. They don't have... Too little. Obviously, it's black. Anyway, she was born to death and made out of ash. It's black. They're made out of ash and teeth. Yeah. So it's black. They have a little tooth heart video. It's kind of cute. It's adorable. Like, the anime setting. It's adorable. And the anime setting that would be really cute. Yeah, I see that. Yeah. So what's the little... What's the little... The little ash guys in a spirited way. Yeah. The little sick gremlins. Uh-huh. They just want candy. They just want your teeth. Yeah. They're cute till they're expecting them. Yeah. He's totally chopped down. Yeah. No. I don't think he would want to talk to them. No. I don't think he'd talk. They just do the same. I don't think they'd want my teeth. I don't think they'd want my teeth. Considering how much opium I probably smoked. Yeah. I'm just kidding. They now are pretty fragile at this time. Mmm. Well... I think he's kept the blams. Yeah. Alright, so... That would be boring. Do you want to go back to the blockers and then set and check on him? Sure. I mean, I know it's late, but his life is sick. We'll get a good night's sleep. I can't imagine he is... We won't get a good night's sleep. Okay, we'll get a bad night rest. I mean, I'm assuming maybe we've still got... Oh, wait a minute. I don't want to go back in that house. It's covered in anti-grants. Yeah, anything about it. Oh. It's terrifying. Not in the battle. What do things happen every time you're there? It doesn't mean we have to spend the night there, but at least, I don't know. I'm just asking you to check on him. Check on him. Check on him. Since you're worried about him not being alive anymore. I'm concerned that he might be dead at this point. So, let's maybe just go check. The guy at the head of your order dispatched you to... So sick. You know what I'm talking about? Usually you die. It's dead. Oops. Oh, that guy! Aw. Yeah, we failed. Okay, it's... You know, it did occur to get a North coat. I hadn't talked and said anything about the fact that some people are like, "Well, you're trying to go to sleep. I have more revisions." And sometimes bad things happen. You know what I mean? He was just kind of like, "Yeah, sure. Stay here. I'm going." I still think he's buying this. Of course, he was something something. It's something to start this up. It's been 300 years. Yeah. Why now? You know? Okay. Well, let's go. Good. Let's go check. I mean, honestly, it might be late, but I can't imagine you sleeping while anyway. He hasn't been here. I don't think he left, right? Wasn't he going out of town? He was. The black? No, he wasn't. No, he was. I thought he was going somewhere. All right. He was just going to work, I think. Yeah. To work, to work. Oh, okay. Yeah. He still has to go to work every day. Fine. What is he doing? He's a solicitor. He's a solicitor. Okay. Okay. So, I don't know. North coat. I may be giving something away, but I think it came up that North coat is... He's North coat solicitor. Yeah. That's why North coat was sort of like, "Yeah, you guys are cool because you're black." Yeah. No, that's why he was okay. Yeah. It was blacked vouch for us. Plus your, you know, the order connection. Yeah. No, that was, I think, understood. Yeah. Okay. No shock. No surprises. No secrets revealed there. Let's go check on him because, honestly, either he's not sleeping well, he's dead, or he might be a little grumpy because we wake him up and it's late, but it's in his best interest. It's not the worst thing that's happened to him. That would be it. That would be it. Yeah. And all the casual wife being dead, you know. No, what? No, she's a way. No, she's a way. She sent her away to... Oh. And to a sister. To be protected. That's right. She did not. The dog is dead. And that was... The dog is dead. Now he's dead. Now he's dead. Now he's dead. Now he's dead. Now he's dead. Now he's dead. Now he's dead. Now he's dead. Now he's dead again. Hopefully. He's nearly dead. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so we're gonna go there. Okay. I've got a crazy idea. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. You want to figure out where Black Annie gets her power from and kill that thing. Right. Yes. And it could be the five oaks. The five oaks. Are the five oaks still alive? Oh, there's a thing that one of them is dead. One of them is dead. Maybe we need to check them out. This is a... This... Orleans case. I don't know if it's necessarily the folks though. It's the funniest. Yeah. The heartbeat. Yeah. The oaks are like historical. They've been there, you know, they were there before the whole story. Well, this is just like our character's knowledge. Yes. That's right. 'Cause we know that we were invited to read from beyond. So I imagine there's some sort of... Somebody opened up something to somewhere. Some portals that opened. Well, why now? That's the question. Right. Right. Right. Right. Um... Our own mortality. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Yeah. Uh-oh. Okay, let's go check on Black. Uh-oh. Okay. Yes. Okay. So, um... Your, uh, your coachman drops you off in front of the Black House. Maybe ask him to just hang out in case we change our mind. No, just keep the horse running. Keep the horse running. Keep the horse warm. Well, you never know. We might end up going back to the inn. Yeah. I wouldn't really want to stay here. I think we're just checking on Mac. So... Okay. Okay, and I'll pay him some length with my bitches, which can't take him with you, right? Nope. Um... Oh, yeah. He's got three spin-change hands. Yes. And he tips his hands and says he'll wait. Don't make a long trip at this. No. Okay. So, you're, you're, you're debarked outside the Black House. Uh, you do see a light on in the upstairs window. Um... Um... So, it's like, it's like midnight. It is like 11.30, yeah. Okay. Knock on the door. Okay. So, you hit the knocker. Your times. Exactly. Of course, he doesn't have any servants anymore. Knock on the door. Um... You're standing on the doorstep. When you hear a hideous screeching sound from above you. Okay. Okay, what do I do? Let's look up. Yeah. Um... I saw you few knock in the door, too. Simultaneously, you hear glass shattering. Yeah. Aw. What's looking up, you see a dark form crouched on the ledge of the window that you had seen lit up. Oh. God. I'm going to shoot it. You now, you now hear screaming. This is the end. The form is hunched up into the window frame, so it's very hard to distinguish exactly what it is, but in the sort of ambient moonlight you see sort of a tightness, gleam, like a beetle shell, but you also see these sort of like coarse hairs. Ah! Yes. I'm going to shoot it. All right. A lot. Okay. Um... Oh, a sanity rolls first, please. Oh, okay. Oh, I made my sanity. Oh, we made mine. I got three. Wow. Oh, my God. I know. I'm so safe right now. All right. You're shooting. Hittiest creatures from beyond. Okay. You all went with one point nevertheless. Okay. Oh, I am so freakin' safe right now. I think I said I think the need for focus, just. Exactly. I would just love to hear that someday. I'm so safe. I'm so safe. I'm so safe. The coachman, on the other hand, screams in terror, and whips the reins of his coach, and it goes tearing off. Yeah, the horse might have spooked. The horse, as well, is winning in that order. Oh, nuts. All right. So, yeah. Go ahead and open fire there. It's only about 10 feet above you. Awesome. Go. Go. Go. Fail. What's your back, actually? Oh, my deck's. It's 10. So, you're in point blank range, and you would double your skill. Nice. Well, then I totally made it. I made that. Okay. Okay. And saying goes for shotgun if your deck's is 10 or higher miles. My deck's is 10. Okay. So, you double your shotgun skill? Okay. Although I am, I don't know if my hand is still sprained or not. It's not a couple of days. I would say it's still tender, but it's good enough to hold a shotgun. Okay. So, I'm sorry, from the 10 I get, like, a what to my shot? You're in point blank, so you double your shotgun. Oh, nice, okay. Yeah. And I still fail. Okay. So, the, so the shotgun goes wide, but the, the derringer hits. So, go ahead and roll your damage there. Yeah. So, let's do it. Okay. What am I rolling for damage? It is 86. Just one. Just one. It's a little good. A two. Two. Two points. All right. And you're firing so much as well. And I make it nice. Okay. Four. Okay. Okay. So, uh... Yeah. No. That's a wild shot to the left. That's a wild shot. That's a wild shot. Exactly. I have a mustache. What? What's the name? Why did you go here? All right. So, shots ring out of the night. It's a mustache problem. In the, in the, in the flash of the muzzle, you can see it is, like, a humanoid car. Yeah. Like a humanoid creature. Yeah. Let's see. But maybe about 10 feet tall and hundreds of pounds. Really? It is sort of like your, your, your impression in the flashes is of, of an ape and a beetle sort of spread together. Okay. And, and you, you hear this screaming and then, um, you know, Celeste and Padma, you can tell that you hit it. But, um, you only see a little bit of, you know, blood, you know. Yeah. Right. But you, you know, you can hold it. So continue to open fire. I don't know. Get distracted there. And, uh, and it's sort of, you know, screeches again. And, let's see. I dare you to make that noise in the middle of the night while she's sleeping. Oh. Oh. Oh. First I'll go around to the outside of the window. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. I'm going to go through the ice and do. David, your nose looks a little off center. Oh. Oh. So, um. That must damage. So it does, it does give the cry, but, uh, it's sort of like, um, leaps out of the window. Mm-hmm. Uh, and, and these big wings spread out. Oh. And it dropped, it drops about three feet before the wings just flap in this, in this sort of, uh, unnatural, grotesque way and like, could pick it up into the air. What? And, and carry it away, the, the flapping of the wings, you know. Uh, dangling from its arms is Jacob Black. No way. No way. Staling and screaming. No. Shoot him. I would shoot him. Yeah. That's what I would do, you know. This is it. Oh. Yeah, exactly. Oh my gosh. Oh. Oh. Huh. Oh. Well, I guess there's nothing else we can do. If you want to take a shot, you can, but you're just kidding. I want to take a shot. I want to take a shot. Yeah. You're going to keep shooting. Yep. Okay, then we still get the decks. It's going to be outside the point blanket. Okay. So. Can we do like a spot hidden to see if he has a weak spot or something like that? No, very much. There is, there is. A crotch. Does it have a crotch? It has three crochets. So. Oh. So good. So that's the right chance. It should be a, I failed mine. I failed. Okay. Okay. Now this, we're not, we're not a point blanket anymore. Okay, so I'm still going to shoot my shotgun. It's pretty balling. I'm pretty sure they are tucked so far inside this box. Okay. You can see it's fingers. Each finger is about a foot long. Wow. And they're, they're just over his shoulders. So no. And just go. Oh, God. Yeah. So they don't like the nice eagles that. No. They don't say everybody from Tolkien stories. Well, I guess I should shoot the shotgun still. Go for it. Oh my gosh. I shot the shotgun. Yeah. I failed. Hello. There is your. Fail. Okay. So yeah. A volley of gunshots sends this dark creature on its way into the night. We see which direction it's going to be. It is heading north east. Can we flex? So the same direction as the woods. Yes. Uh huh. Uh huh. Uh huh. Exactly. Our carriage ran off. How on earth are we going to get there that fast? I mean, it takes maybe half an hour to get back to Beck Green. Yeah. It's 10 miles. Oh, well. Alright. Have a carriage. Let's go wake up stand up. Oh. He's in Beck Green. Yeah. Let's go wake up in Beck Green and see if he'll take us. Oh, but this is how you have to get to Beck Green. Oh, could we do the. That's what you're having? Yes. Oh. Sounds like we're done. Hooray. You went ahead. We're going to go for it now. Where is he going? He's going to say Michael's, do you think? You don't need to know the exact location. You can say take me to so-and-so. Are you guys ready? Take me to take a black. Take me to take a black. Oh, that kind of blend. Oh, we'd be at the spot. Can you say take me to Jake Black will eventually touch down? Can he? Can he? Can he? You can't make a contingent, but you could be like, you know. Take me to Jacob Black. But then we'd end up in the ear. It's going to take you an hour to meditate into. Oh, okay. Okay, yeah. So we can meditate into it. This is it. All right. All right. Take us to Jacob Black. All right. We'll give selection for the police. And then, you know, we can machete up. Meanwhile, there's lights. Lights have come on in the other houses. People are coming. Oh, is all the people? No. We still should use this. Okay. Yeah, the neighborhood's coming. What's all this gunfire? What's going on? It's celebrating. It was celebrating. Yeah. Early Fox Hunt. It's early in the year. I feel like a Colton stuff is only 15. My Colton is 71. That's a big thing. That's a big thing. That's a biggie. My Latin is 56. Why cancels? Why cancels? Do you take the? No, that's fine. You can't take more than twice your pal inside points. We've got 24 points of size between these two. Do you have a preference? I mean, it sounds like, honestly, if it's going to take us that long, one of us. We have a doesn't go. Might as well go back and try to see if we can, like, against certain tons of money. More. Still a neighbor's horse. And just go. I was like, well, I'm just saying, like, someone can, like, head over there now, right? You actually go to the specific location. Right. That's exactly how we get that. Well, man. Okay. And give me an idea. All right. Well, I'm just going to say, too, we might as well-- This is a hard line. I think. Oh. Um. Well, the thing is, we also, we haven't talked to Oswald and Robin. So we don't know where they are, what they're doing. Also, who has the most, who is the best chances of getting, like, getting a horse, writing the horse, and getting to wherever? Like, who has the most credit? Probably two. I have an 86 credit. Yeah. So do you think even if she's ever-handed, they will not charge her? Yeah. I'm sure that I would be fine. I'm sure, lady, if my saying is-- Okay. So she's supposed to try to get in there. Like, good. Yeah. Okay, and again. All right. And we're going to-- where are we going? Well, I would say-- No. I'm probably going to go back to, um-- I'd say the center of-- Well, I was going to say hunters-- The cat and-- Whatever first. Yeah. Um, to see if Oswald and Robin are there. Because we haven't talked to them all today. Right. I don't know what's going on. Yeah, that's right. So I'm going to probably start there and see if I can't get them, and then try and meet you guys in the forest. Hopefully, the only thing is though, how are we going to find you once you're there and we have to meet you. We as in, I think, and they are still a chance of them helping us. Okay. Okay. Well, I'm thinking-- Wait, am I allowed to say anything? Nope. I have a gun. Is there a gun? Is there a gun? [laughter] Do you need another gun? I don't have a gun. No. No. Okay, well-- Because honestly, that would probably be my rationale is, hey, Oswald and Robin let's get them and have a gun. Let's get them and help and-- Let's get the gun. Well, you guys have seen Michael's-- Yeah. Michael's is the presumed destination. Yeah. That is-- And that's-- As best we know, because we don't know about the Stone Cottage, right? That's right. Okay. Well-- We're going to have a witch finder. Oh my god, that's right. We don't have a witch finder. Oh. Bummer. Well, you know what, but we're just-- We're just going to where Jacob Black is. Right. Yeah. You're going to have to-- I'm not going to know, and neither will Oswald-- When we get there, we have to find a gun. We have to find a gun. Is there any way we can communicate via telepathy? Or even just shooting off a-- Shooting off a flare. Why are you throwing-- I keep a flare gun in my petty coat. Maybe we're going to-- Maybe we're going to shoot something into the air, like, shoot opal-- Oh, lights up on fire. Right? Light something on fire? Light something on fire? Like a witch? Or-- [laughter] A tree? The burning witch will be icing. Really? [laughter] Flicker in the air. [laughter] The only thing is we burn a tree. It's going to take forever to get it to actually big enough for me to see you. Plus, how am I going to see you when I'm traveling? I see that when I'm traveling. All right. Okay. Well, I'll make some noise. I'll shoot the shotgun. That should echo through the forest. I'm not sure where you're going to be. Like Michael. I guess, yeah. But that means you're going to have to say that you'll be at St. Michael's and all that-- Well, we're presuming. We're presuming we're going to be in the woods somewhere near-- somewhere within the inside of these-- Okay, for an F, I guess that's what I'm going to try. That's the one that tries. I'm going to write to Beck Green, try to get Robin and Oswald from Hunter's Lodge, because as far as we know, they're still there, and they have the Witchfinder. You guys are going to follow Jacob Black. We've seen this creature rub against. We're going to need some clarify. We're going to need help. Mm-hmm. So I guess that that's my plan is I'm going to write to Beck Green, try to rally the tree to get the Witchfinder and meet you guys in the forest. Okay. All right. Because I do at least-- I will at least also be able to navigate by myself in the woods. It's true. It's true. And you did mark the-- You did mark the forest. We did plus I have the original map. There you go. Right. You're good. You're good. All right. So I'm off. I'm sure I will have her as a neighbor and beg to horse off of them. Okay. Throw in tons of money at them and have started my ride. We will slasher repair. Yeah. I'll be terrified of what's going to happen. So-- You've done this before, right? Right. No, it's purely theoretical. Oh. Aha. All right. I want you to know that inside I'm a frightened and good child. Oh, my goodness. That's a really terrible-- I'll be right back with mine. I'm going to turn on. I'm going to turn on. You're right. One to four points of sand. I regret nothing. Okay. Okay. I'm going to turn on. That's what I'm going to do. This costs me one sand. Nice. Half of my magic points and I have five magic points. So just FYI. Yes. When you're at zero magic points, you start burning hit points. Okay. That's my little house rule. Okay. So there's that. And then there's a-- I'm going to be good. Can I put you down? She's doing good. Oh, I got a re-- Okay. Then it costs me to re-enter the real world. That's your favorite. That's your favorite. Nice. She figured it for me. All right. All right. So-- Who has hand hands? I do. I do. All right. All right. So we meditate in the-- in the parlor of the back house for an hour. Gradually you begin to perceive the surrounds around you less clearly. And a sort of purplish light begins to suffuse the room. It's the altar, finally. Gradually the light grows stronger and stronger until it is entirely-- All that is around you. It's just purple. Mm-hmm. You look down and your whole body is sort of encased in this sort of gently glowing light that seems to frog with your heartbeat. Mm-hmm. You know. Mm-hmm. Now, I'm going to leave it up to you. Okay. Whether miles comes with you or not. Because that is ultimately your choice. It is eight magic points to take him along. Oh, wow. When I'm out of magic points and I'm burning hit points. Yes. So eight magic points on top of the five I already spent. Mm-hmm. All right. So how many hit points do I need to suck for-- I mean, I'm only at five magic points. Exactly. So you would spend five and then lose three hit points? Definitely. Yeah. You bringing them up? Yeah. He's got opal. So-- Ten. No. I had twelve. I have thirteen, just really. It's like, how Robin has the two magic points? No, I'm gorgeous. Okay. Okay. So your nose is also bleeding pretty profusely. No, but I'm not frightened. This is all going very well. Yes. Okay. So you-- I'm quite sure that miles is-- is terrifying. Yes. In fact, miles you're going to lose-- Can't pissingly terrifying. Yeah. Can't pissingly terrifying. You lose three sand. Almost five years. So you're standing there next to Celestia. You're also suffused in the golden cocoon of light. Okay. It's beautiful and horrible. Yeah. It's extraordinarily empty. You sense you're sort of in the spaces between the spaces. Mm-hmm. You will. You're in the crawl space of the universe. Oh, there you go. Yes. That's great. All right. So, Celestia, you want to go to Jacob Black. That's the deal. You have me a power times five roll and spend one magic point, aka a point. Uh-huh. Power times five. Mm-hmm. All right. Oh, my God. I'm going to spend-- Oh, my God. This-- Let's take it through this. Oh. Oh, my God. Oh, did you get it? 92. Ooh. Can you push it? No, but you can try it again for another point. Oh, my God. We're fine. We're fine. We might as well. Plus he picks them in. 32, right? Yes. Okay. All right. So now give me a sanity roll. Did you-- Yeah. Music on purpose, Jesus. It was the universe. You failed? Yeah. Uh, lose one point. You hurt me. Oh, thank you. Now, here's the weird thing. You visualize-- This is the weird thing? [LAUGHTER] Up to now is it. Yeah. Yeah. It's the call of thought. Where it's supposed to go. Meanwhile, just FYI, it's been an hour or so of having what you are arriving outside of a hundreds of hours at this point. Okay. Sights out, of course. [LAUGHTER] It's too visualizing. [LAUGHTER] But here's the weird thing. You're visualizing Jacob Black. You're saying I want to be where Jacob Black lives. You know that you have moved, but it's still just the purple all around you. So you can make an effort to see into the real world now. All right. Okay. Yes. So that would be another Power Times 5 role. All right. Another magic one. Okay. Oh my God. 61. Okay. So you spend the point and you can try again. Oh, you're just going to be wasted when we get there. But it's worth it. Oh, yeah. Say it again. Oh my God. You can spend again if you wish. Oh, I got a half done. Oh, you're hit points. Six. Oh my God. Yeah. So Miles, do you notice Celeste's is bleeding freely from her nose? Oh my God. Like her nose is broken. Yeah. Basically. So give me another San role, please. Fail. Okay. One point. So now everything's still purple, but it's like you're looking through a purple curtain and you can see beyond is Woodland Forest. You see a stone cottage. A stone cottage. Curious. You see pheasant heads on sticks. Oh, yeah. You see that ape beetle creature crouching on the fatched roof of the cottage. Okay. You see flaps of skin hanging in a giant ancient oak tree. So that would be another Sanity role, please. For both of us? Yes. You can both see it. Yes. Okay. Oh, thanks. Okay. I think that was zero if you passed it. Yeah. Zero. Okay. However, you see... Celeste must look pretty rough, though. Oh God. This is a fail. Don't be wrong. Draw on bloody... Nice. You see in the tree, you see four people up in this tree. Three of them are upside down, hanging from their feet. The third one, or the fourth one, is an old chrome. Her skin blackens some fire. And she is clambering down out of the tree with a hammer in her hands. You can see Jacob black still stirring up in the tree. He's feet nailed to the branches. Oh. There's still time to save him. You see Robin Ward and Oswald Finnegan also nailed up in the branches. Oh no. Okay. Their faces and hands are bloody and dripping. Uh-huh. The blood is dripping down to the ground below and feeding these weird little weeds that are growing up in patches where the blood is dripping. Are they alive? Robin looks like he may be dead. Oswald may still be alive. No, no. You know, I just don't think they're just like shooting him. That hurt is going to do me. I know. You know, I think we're missing some. I do too. Oh, but go ahead and give me sanity rolls for black men. I failed. Zero for the past and three for the fail. Oh. Oh. What is it feels? No. What the hell is supposed to do? Are we in? Are we? Have we arrived? You're viewing it. You're viewing it. All right. You're viewing it. Well you saved some time to go up with the camera. I wonder if I'm getting inside the cabin is a good idea. I don't think seeing out here is a good one. No. Although that thing is like hunched on top of it, isn't it? The hunched? Can I think so? Oh, I'm sorry. Shh. Well, maybe she keeps, I don't know, a diary in there or something. I don't know. Today. Last time. It wasn't really anything in the cottage. The cottage. There was a cauldron of bubbly stuff, probably poo. Well, do you feel like you ought to be cutting them down, maybe? I think there might be a better time to do that. I'm going to grab Celestia's hand that we're on. What's that? But we're behind the veil. Still we're not actually. Oh, we still have the veil. We're viewing it. Oh, we're just looking at it. We're seeing him up there. Right now. Unless you know what Jacob Black is now. Exactly. He's pretty fresh. Very fresh and long. So we could go there if we wanted. We could. We could. But I like the idea of hiding for a while. I'm considering if Black Annie can be reason with. Well, you know, we should have taken us to the place that will tell us what to do. He's got to be a place where a person can't even be an object. Wow. Oh, God. He can't be an object. I wonder if we just like popped in on Northphobe like this. Hello. Hey. Dear God. Help? She's got a hand. Oh, can Annie see us? Apparently not. She's now she's sort of hobbling back towards the cottage. Mm-hmm. And the creature. And the creature, you know. The creature just kind of looks at her ear at all. Oh. And she passes through the door and goes into the cottage. Fire. Fire. Fire. Fire. It is a stone cottage, though, again. Yeah? I mean, you could sort of delight at least the roof would burn. The fence. We'll drive them away. Do we have any time to actually get anything done before we're killed by Black Annie? That's my question. I mean, we don't know anything more than those two new and they're nailed to the tree. That's right. Because I mean, I will be, I'm sure realizing that they're not. Yeah, you're talking about Lily right now. And assuming the worst and probably heading into the woods to try and find you guys, we'll come across the tree with the burnt fungus. But that didn't deter her. It's like 2 a.m. It's like... It's about 12.30. What's his hammer? Oh, the hammer's just the hammer. It's not like you have to watch that. No. It's not Thor's hammer. It's a simple hammer. Sort of thingy nailer. Oh my God. Where'd she get that? She's that worthy? She's nailed. That's okay. She's nailed to a tree. Not for her. That's right. That's right. That's funny. It's really nice. It's funny how that worked out. It's really nice. It was a one-punching thing. Oh. Oh. Huh. Well, the other thing that was out of what we're going to find if we don't. I think we should hide. I think that would be good. Yeah. Didn't I transfer to a place where it's like a sneaky hideout? And did she look like she had more nails? Yeah. She had to use her mouth. Did she leave two spaces? Well, they're just sort of nailed up to different branches. You know. So. Mm-hmm. They're artfully arranged. Oh, so are we in the juxtaposition of the flaps of scannons? Yes. Oh. It tastes cool. I like that. It's nice. Well, if we, actually, I don't think hiding, you know, we don't really know this. But if we go out there, then the birds are going to squawk. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. You want to chicken out and go back? Well, yeah. I don't know. I don't know. I'm done. I have five points. This will be for nothing. This will be for not. Right, exactly. We don't know how else to get to the stone because we don't know where we're at. There's the possibility that the Master Block knows something that we, that he hasn't told us. Yeah, I'd like to save him if possible. Maybe we could save him and that would, all right. I think we go there, we try and save Mr. Black and then we, um, and, uh, and then we run away. You feel? I feel. You feel good about that? All right. Okay. You good? All right. I don't know what else to do. I don't want to take her on. No. Certain deaths. Oh, my death. If she does show up, let's run in two separate directions. Fine. Okay. Okay. These are good things. You got to have a contingency. No, it's true. Good. contingency. Like, don't take it personally if I leave you. Right. Exactly. One of us has to survive. I just have to run faster than you. All right, so, so what is your plan is to pop out into the real world. Correct? Yeah. And I assume that it's all cottages in the real world. See? I don't know that it is. Yeah, it is. All right. Yeah. You can tell. It's obvious. All right. Um, now the oak tree is basically right next to the cottage. Mm-hmm. Okay. And the, the creature is on top of the cottage. Mm-hmm. So you're going to do what exactly? You think there's something special about this oak tree? I do. You do? Yep. I do. But after we take the people off of it. Yes. Good idea. We're going to go. I'm going to get them down though. It's going to be crafty. I don't know. I don't know. Black is. Yeah, that's true. How, how, like, how sturdy are these branches? They're pretty damn sturdy, I guess. They're pretty people. Yeah. Um. You're going to have to climb up. Yeah. Okay. All right. I mean, could you land in the tree? Uh, you could come out into the tree. Let's do that. There we go. It's a good idea. Coming out in the tree. All right. Okay. Loosh. Mm-hmm. So that'll cost you, uh, popping out into the real world costs two magic points. Mm-hmm. And one D four sand. Ooh. Four. Oof. Okay. All right. So you can't do this again. Nope. We're done. Never again. For now. For now. And I'm also loopy because I've lost a lot of sand. I got one point away from my previous. All right. Okay. Let's, uh. Here we go. It's Lester. Thank you so much. You're going to hold yourself now. Okay. Um. Okay. We'll, uh. Oh, and, uh, you do know the, the, that you can pop back in for free, right? No. Okay. Was that free? Basically when you pop out, you can pop back in as long as it's relatively quick. You can go back out. You know, you can phase in and out. And only pay, only pay for one, one, one direction. Would she leave me behind? Would she does that? It would leave you behind. Yeah. Oh, okay. Yep. Well, I wouldn't blame you. Um, okay. So, okay. Pop it on the tree. Okay. I'm going to give our friend on the roof a spot hidden roll. Let's see if he spots you guys. All right. All right, so you emerge onto a tree branch nearby to Jacob Black. It is a, it is a thick tree branch, like a good four feet thick. So you're both sort of clinging to it through the, the brambles and the, and the leaves, the black beetle ape creature still squats menacingly on the cabin, but doesn't move. All right. Okay. Um. It was a break. All right. So. Um. So yeah, Black is, is hanging there, um, by his, by his feet. No. Um, he's been stripped of his nightgowns or naked. Uh, and it's been covered in, in small, you know, cuts all over his body. So he's bleeding down his arm's face. Okay. But, you know, his eyes sort of flicker up towards you. Get him, get him, get him. Okay. Grab, do, uh, what? He's got a nail through his feet. Mm-hmm. Oh. Both feet. So like, like, he's like, crucified. They're like, they're talking to each other. Well, don't know. Both feet. Nails. Oh. Oh, God. Yeah. Yeah. I guess I'm gonna have to pull the nails out. Um. How? Well, I mean, how big are the nails? Um. I mean, they're holding a man's full weight from a tree. They're like, they're both eyes. Basically. Oh. Oh. Good morning. I could have to grab one and sort of like, work it back and forth. Dear. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Okay. The part of it too now is if you manage to get them out, how are you gonna get them away? Because they can't run and you certainly can't carry them. I don't know what to do, but I can't leave them here to die. Yeah. I'm just like, thinking I'm like, oh shit. Um. It's getting real. I'm hoping that, well, okay. All right. If, if she comes out. Mm-hmm. We drop Mr. Black and we rub. Oh, my God. Oh. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So you begin to slowly work the tie, the nail out of the, out of the tree. Mm-hmm. Okay. Give me a look at what you're selecting. Make it, make it, make it right now. Nope. Okay. Um, so you get, uh, you get one, one of the nails out. Okay. And down below you see the old hag come out of her cottage. Try to reason with her. [laughter] I'm a jooping back into the ether. [laughter] I don't know who you're talking to here. Salute. [laughter] My colleague. Oh. Oh, no. So you can't mess up your lesser colleagues. Oh. Oh. Just gone. Oh. So she, uh, she emerges and sort of looks around. Mm-hmm. Her, uh, you know, her one eye socket dripping with pus. Mm. She almost, she even sniffs the air all day. Oh, great. Of course, great. I'm going to, I'm going to ram this into her good eye. [laughter] But then she turns around and heads back. Oh. That's, that's the attack though. Ram something that you were going to want. Give me a good eye. Yeah. Oh. She's like a Dalek. [laughter] Oh. Okay. All right. So you start working on the other one. Okay. So I will need an approach strength, uh, strength versus size to hold on to black. Okay. As you pull that nail out. So let me check his size here. What's your strength? Eight. Oh, what the hell? What? Oh man. She'll be working on her. [laughter] My library skills is 50. So you're going to get 15 or less. All right. Lily has to think it's 10. Black is five, 15. He's like six foot three. And you're like an eight year old girl. [laughter] It's okay. You can blame it on your sprained wrist. There you go. You can push too. Yeah. You can push. You can push. And is black conscious of all his eyes. Yeah. He's been like reading his teeth all the time. Is there any way though that like miles can maybe get him to at least grab on some branch? Uh, no. Because he's totally, he's like this, you know. I mean like if he reaches down to help to pull him up. He's got one foot still stuck. But if he can maybe help him. Can he grab onto the bottom to the other? The other guys? The other guys? There are different parts of the tree. I'm just going to say if he's conscious, if he's got one foot free, if he can at least get Jacob Black to kind of hold onto the branch at least a little bit. Okay. I'm going to say that's fine. Go ahead and reroll with a reduced. I'm going to like have that like reduce his effective size, right? So it'll be a 55 or less. Oh. Okay. Oh five. Nice. Nice. Oh. And where's Padma at this point? Okay so Padma you are at Hunter's Lodge. I would have been at Hunter's Lodge by now. Talked a Lily. Yeah. Oh she doesn't know. Josephine. No one ever showed up. So I'm sure that I would have been both of them. Oh no, I'm all done wrong. No. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Off to St. Michael's Chapel. I'm going to go to St. Michael's Chapel. Okay. I'm sure on the way I'll have seen the burned down. Mm-hmm. You'll see the burned tree fungus. Very fungus. Yeah. Also start to assume the worst. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. But I have no idea what I'm going to do because I don't know how to get to the cottage. Right. I know where the. Yes you don't know. It's night. I mean I'm going to hope I guess I get to St. Michael's cottage and I see you guys there or I hear you something. Yeah. Mm-hmm. So you are currently sort of tramping your way through the woods. Yeah. Okay. Meanwhile. Yeah, so black, you know, grabs a nearby branch and kind of uses it to hoist himself or push himself up as best as possible to sort of reduce the effective weight that you're trying to carry. Mm-hmm. Okay. And then between the two of you working you get him up onto the branch. Okay. All right. Can I quietly interrogate him at this point? I'm going to try first aid so we don't lose him. Yes. You can do first aid. It was a rare amount of tattoos but. Right. So where's time for here we go. First aid. No. You got him. I could try first aid at. 35. Give her that. And I failed. Oh. No you didn't. Oh no you're right. I made it. Absolutely. Oh my god. Six. Six. Oh wow. Okay. So that's actually a critical. I was paying attention that day. It's a pure speed. Hm. You never know what I might have to patch up a crucifixion thing. That's right. So you pull some moss off the tree. There you go. Stuff it into the. You don't hold it. It's a ticket. Yeah. Maybe you can make a little poultice basically. Don't be a baby. Rub off some. Or rub off some of your shirt. Yeah. Yeah, you wrap your feet. You wrap your feet exactly. Okay. Okay. Yeah. I don't know if I can mock but it's okay. It's better. Mr. Black, if there's anything you're not telling us, now would be the time to be entirely forthcoming. Or else we will push you out of this tree. I tell you, I know nothing. Right on that thing. He doesn't know shit. Yeah. I'm the last of my mind. She needs to kill me. That's all I know. Um. All right. Well do we have. Okay. She's she's she's she's come back. We think we think Robin's dead. We think Robin's dead. Yes. Okay. I'm the last of my mind. She needs to kill me. That's all I know. Um. All right. Well do we have. Yes. Yes. Yes. Okay. Oswald looks like he might be alive hanging from. He's sort of twitching. So maybe get back to R.D. to sleep. Sure. Should we save Oswald? That's a good question. It seems like it seems kind of like we're on the run. It's too late. Oswald's not going to be able to assist you. Jacob Black for instance can at least hold on to your bag. Okay. Or be supportive. So let me just tell you Robin is dead. Oh okay. Robin is officially dead. Okay. Oh uh. Once you actually end in the tree. Oswald if you can hear us. By us time. Oh no. No way. Really? We're very very sorry. Persuade. Oh my god. No. It is so tasty. He's not. He is. He is. He is. He is. He is. He is unconscious. Okay. He's out. Probably then just trying to get out of the tree I noticed with Jacob. Cause he can at least help you guys get in there. Well one of us should get down and sort of lower Jacob to the other. Okay. Which is the more sort of uh. Which do you think is the more sort of labor intensive? Probably getting him out. Cause you're also going to have to help Celeste get out of the tree cause she's very weak. Okay. No. She can do that. Oh. Okay. Okay. Well I should. So I will lower him to you and then jump out of there. Yep. Okay. Then you can stretch through the woods. Yeah. With the dude. Get the hell out of the dodge. The lord. Okay. Run. Okay. It's a plan. It's happening. Okay. In the darkness. So uh. Give me uh. Give me a sneak roll. Oh shit. Oh my gosh. The rolls. Sneak is ten percent. Nine two. And I just failed. Okay. Okay. Okay. Alright. Alright. So uh. You know you, you, you lower him down but there's just the inevitable. Yeah. Creaking and rapping. Oh. Yeah. Watch it. Watch it. You fully put your thumb in my foot. Oh. Oh my gosh. Yeah. Oh. Well he's naked too. Yeah. So there's that one. You're trying to kind of keep your face away from the mid region there. You're already down. The crotch. The crotch. The crotch. The crotch. The crotch. The crotch. The crotch region. Um. That's not my foot. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Yeah. So uh. Don't play at all. Yeah. Oh. Oh. Yeah. So yeah. There's the inevitable uh. Creaking and pracking uh. Uh. Up the tree as you come down. Sure. They're noisy. Of course. Oh man. Oh my gosh. Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap. So uh. So uh. Uh. Uh. Uh. Uh. I'm going to go over your shoulder. Pretty much useless. And uh. You hear that inhuman cry behind you. Uh. Uh. And it just sort of like flops up into the air. And you know it starts flapping its wings and coming right towards you as the hag emerges from her hut. Alright. Drop, Jacob, black, and black. I'm serious. Yes. Okay. Alright. Wow. Wow. Wow. I'm not big. Come on. Seriously. No. No. Oh my God. Just say forgive me. I regret nothing. I regret it. I want to be in my good water. Exactly. I hope you regret nothing because we regret nothing. Maybe just drop an opal and take off. Um. Ah. No. All about self-preservation. Yeah. Jacob Black does not blast Chuck and Blasts. Um. He's not a self-defense weapon. Yes. He's good. Wow. He's consulting tables. I know. He has cables up for the social. This is like the sound of your inner moral dilemma. No, there's no dilemma. No. No. You're a dilemma. Drop his ass. We're out of here. We're out of here. We're out of here. We're out of here. We're out of here. No, we're out of here. We're out of here. We're out of here. We're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. No, we're out of here. Oh, god damn it. [LAUGHTER] Is there any real chance to persuade this person? She's a... I feel she's in the moveable object, that's my opinion. You think so? No, quite a grudge. [LAUGHTER] She doesn't quite a grudge, but... Well, it also seems like she's more of an entity at this point than a person. Yeah, she's an angry voice. She's an angry voice. She's not so much like... She's an angry voice. She's not so much like... Not an alien being. Yeah, there's no logic there. So offering a hugger is not gonna... No. No. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. Okay. On the plus side, you might at least be distracting them and ask that Jacob Black is getting to crawl away. Yeah. That's possible. That wouldn't be completely lost. Yeah. No, all right. Well, it's not like you guys are making good search records. You could be saying, like, I've always loved you, you sexy thing, you know what I'm gonna do? You just distract the hell out of her. Yeah. Or not. Like, maybe she's just, like, an unstoppable, like, I would say, saying nothing. What would she say? Well, I'm also not a resurrected, burned, 300-year-old witch. Yeah. Oh. I don't know if I'd want anyone to come on to me at that point. I feel it was sincere. I would feel it was sincere. You like me? You like me? Oh, my God. That's right. That's right. It always works. All right. Never know. No. I don't know. I'm sad. I'm sad. Right. That was... That's okay. I know. That's just sad. I'm sad. Well, at any rate, she's giving you a sort of mirroring grin. Back in the game. Is she okay? She's dead. You know what? The way to go around. I mean, all she had to do was go, and these guys were like... Yeah, I know, right? There's no time. So, tacking her's not going to do anything. I never know. I don't know. It's a role? There's something, man. What else? Going down... Look, that's blazing. We're saying something loud. It's not going to work. All right. Oh, okay. Will you tell me afterwards if it were? What do we do? Yeah. We did the dozen thing. You did the dozen thing. Got a note down. It reminded me. Okay. Did that work on Black Annie? You looked a lot of work on Black Annie. I hope you enjoy a victory with no freaking eyes. All right, well, you actually get to act before her. Nice. All right. I would say your default skill with a giant nail would be comfortable to your default skill with a knife, which is 25, unless you have points in knife. Is he a point blank range? I haven't arranged. I have points with cooking knives. You could offer to cook or something, but... I failed. Push. Push. You can push. All right. All right. So you... You won? Yeah. You won. And then basically, you know, to sort of stumble out and land right in front of her. And she's still grinning down at you. Okay. I can tell you if you never do it alone, but not. And she says... What did you do? Oh. Oh, Elizabethan accents. Oh. Which sounds like English. American English. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. She just says, "Good night, love." Oh. And, you know, sort of just point, you know, like does a little gesture with her hand? Like a little... You know, it's not even touching you. Yeah. And... Oh, wait. I remember all this works. Oh, my God. Ed, here's how you die. Let's see. Here's... And... What's your power? It is... 13. Oh, yeah. You're out. Okay. So... So, yeah. That's two. You're out. You wake up. Out or unconscious. Unconscious. Okay. Ten days also. All right. All right. Meanwhile, can you tell me if I'm dead or not? You're not dead. Oh. Good night, love. You know what? That's creepy as hell. So, meanwhile, Celeste, you are back in the sort of purple realm between the realms. All right. Purple. Where do you want to go? You don't necessarily have to go back to Black House. I wouldn't want to go back to Black House. Can I go to the Hunter's Lodge? You could go there or you could go to a person. I know. You can go to a place or a person. Hunter's Lodge. You can all... Actually, you can go places you don't know, but the power roll is at a lower multiplier. Oh, God. At a lower multiplier? Yeah. So... Yeah. Pout of times five is hard enough. So, I'm just... I'm throwing that out there as your most likely option. Let's take the most likely option. Yeah. So, it could be a place you visited before or a person that you know well. What? Florida's farm? See ya, fuckers! Yeah. I'm just like getting out of here. This doesn't work out very well. Being in the funny papers. It's cute to Leonardo DiCaprio and you mean it. Just walk it out of there. Walk it out. You're following trucks. Yeah. Let's strip my way out of this. Alright, yeah. 'Cause I... You couldn't... You couldn't go... Pat, can you? Yeah, but listen, I'm nearly dead and nearly completely insane. Okay. So, I've got to go back to the mother horse. You've got to go... Yeah, I'm going to go to Florence. Yeah. Okay. What is your sanity right now? 44. It's not that 53. Okay. 53. Okay. It's not bad, it's not bad. It's still good. It's still good. It's still good. So, you've lost nine points. Yeah, you're right. You're two points away from indefinite insanity. It's just a little insane. You've got to go back. Yeah. No, you need to go back to the mother horse. Yeah. She could be storing it. I'm bleeding like a lunatic. Yeah, I know, that too. And plus it would be a great scene just winking the door. I think we're bleeding and crazed. I'm sure she'd be happy to see you. Alright. Give me a palletine side roll. Oh my god. Wow. 58. One more hit point. Come on, come on, come on. That sucks. I thought that would be-- Failed again. One more hit point. See, I think that would be the case if it was something she didn't know that she'd lose the hit point. This seems annoying to me. Alright. Now I'm making sure. You're at one hit point? I'm at two hit points. You're at two hit points. Okay. Good. Okay. Meanwhile, at a flat in London, Florence Barr is in her parlor, having a late night-- Yeah, a really late night. --discussion. Yeah, I know, it's almost one o'clock. Yeah. I think you know how these bogeyman's are. Yes. It's having a late night discussion with the playwright George Bernard Shaw. That's right. Thanks. I've always been a fan of his work. There's very, you know, smoking cigarettes and drinking Irish whiskey or Irish tea. Laughing, actually. And he'll like it. But what is the mind? Does it matter? When all of a sudden you're like, boom! You know, it's like it just appears on the Persian rug in the middle of the parlor. And a lump beating. Oh, you're so supernatural. It's got to exist. [LAUGHTER] Yes, no evidence! Bernard Shaw is probably shitting himself right now. Yeah, seriously. [LAUGHTER] He tipped the chair over a couple of minutes. [LAUGHTER] Great Scott! Oh, yeah, Blake is running down the face soaked into your, you know, shirtless. Oh, it's definitely your mess. You're still filthy from all the steel-looking-- Can you hear me? Here I go. Yeah, yeah, hair is all sweetly. Oh my God. It looks like a raccoon. That's nice. A raccoon in your head. Yes. Meanwhile, back in Oakwood. So you've reached St. Michael's Chapel. Honestly, I feel like I have no witch finder. They are not here. I don't want to call for anyone. Because I saw that-- You might rather-- You might rather than take a black kiss to you. [LAUGHTER] Part of it is I have no idea in which direction to go. Yeah. Woods are 360 degrees. I only know the way that I've come. It is dark. I mean, I can either-- And you've got a beheaded corpse sitting on a pier in that fucking shot. Right, right. So it's always something that-- [LAUGHTER] Yeah. You know, bring down your evening. I don't know. Like, part of me feels like I want to press on and find my friends because-- Uh-huh. I need you. But-- What did I get up for you? No. [LAUGHTER] I was going to say more just-- I have, like, what am I-- what can I possibly do? Aside from hoping I can find more trees that are marked with crosses. Uh-huh. And-- Yeah. Something all down right now. Or just, you know, amble my way through the woods to find you guys. I have no idea where you are. I think the only thing that might happen is you might stumble upon Jacob Black. But that's a pretty slim chance. Yeah. I mean-- Yeah, what are the odds of that? Yeah. Pretty slim. They're big woods. You thought that we were going to be here and that we're not here. So, again, I have no need and I have no way of finding you. No. Your rudderness, really. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Honestly, I think that I would probably weep. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. With the corpse. Unfortunately, yes. Yeah. Mommy's have seen worse. All right. Mm-hmm. Well, actually, give me an idea roll. OK. Mm-hmm. Is it going to get me to trouble, though? [LAUGHTER] Like, do I want to have this way together? I make it-- Oh, OK. So, you know, you're thinking of mummies. And you're like, you know, this is worse. It's like 150 years old. You saw another corpse that was 100 years old. Mm-hmm. You had the experience coming out of the woods before where time seemed to catch up with you. That's right. It's almost like time stands still when you're in the boundaries of these woods. Mm-hmm. That's a really great point. Yes. That, I don't know. [LAUGHTER] I know. I'm like, that-- if so, it means something? Important? Maybe if I smoke some popcorn. [LAUGHTER] I need to get back to my apartment in London to smoke some popcorn. [LAUGHTER] Well, if I had to share with you guys, then I'm sure I'm running low. Oh, definitely. Uh, um... Well, that suggests to me that either there's something maybe I could take out that would thus be affected by the time change or... Oh, Ward. Well, that's probably how Black Annie survived all this time. She's just been in these woods. So, yeah, theoretically, like, we're going to exit the woods. Oh. Oh. We'll be taking out of the woods. Hey, we should have teleported Black Annie. Can you teleport objects? I didn't think about that. I didn't think about teleporting Black Annie, but it couldn't. Once I got to it. Right. And it's just going to... Okay. I thought about doing the great self-sac... Cthulhu self-sacrifice move. [LAUGHTER] But... Yeah. [LAUGHTER] Okay. [CLEARS THROAT] [CLEARS THROAT] [SIGH] So, you have unlimited time now here in the woods, but then you have to come back out. It's risky. [MUSIC PLAYING] I don't know. I don't know what that would do. Well, at least sitting there is looking at those corpse, like... I don't know. I'd probably, honestly... Might say fuck it. And go back to Hunter's Lodge. Well, I don't know. That only swears when there's no one else. [LAUGHTER] I only swear in Hindi. I only swear again. [LAUGHTER] Because, again, there's nothing here except for this dead guy. All right. So, unless I... Well, I'll be cracked open to him in the open grave outside. Cheers. Cheers. I guess we're, like, with no objects, though, like, nothing... Correct. ...helpful of significance. As far as I can tell. That one else is able to figure that out with me. That is correct. But do I press on and try to hope for the best and see if I can... ...find you guys by maybe following more of the trees with the crosses? Or... ...do a bail? It's a deal. What would Padma do? Yeah, what would Padma do? W.P.D. Yeah. She had probably a bail. Yeah, she's a smart woman. Yeah. She has no knowledge of the occult practically. Mm-hmm. Yeah. It's tiny. She's probably going to say... I'm sorry, guys. I'm not here but... Everyone's doing their best. I wish you will. Maybe wait a couple of hours. Mm-hmm. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, you wait. Then leave. Nobody shows us. Go back to Hunter's Lodge to Josephine and Lily. Mm-hmm. And collapse 'cause you've been up for 20 hours. Oh, yes. Yes. Romping all over the place. Meanwhile, back in London. Mm-hmm. Obviously, uh, far in Shaw. Yeah, they convey you over to the, you know, the Chase Lounge and lay you out, you know, oil some water and, you know, give her some whiskey and so forth, you know. Yeah. And so they get you cleaned up. Well, you're corset, too. Just like... Oh, yeah. Unlaced the corset. Yeah. Damn it. Just grab the dagger and pop it. Yeah. Alright, so they, uh, they do manage to first aid you for two points. And I keep muttering. They pound you. They pound you. Mm-hmm. They pound you. So... Eventually, they get you calmed down. It takes about an hour. Uh-huh. And then Florence starts pumping you for information. And I spill it. Yeah. And I spill it. So she listens with a mixture of fascination and horror. Mm-hmm. You know. Black and... So I was incredibly dangerous. Not just going into the... Going into the actual playing corporeally. You have no idea what you were risking. You have no idea. You could have got yourself nailed to a tree. Yeah. Like some people... Mm. Sorry, Miles. That's all right. The dawn of the dawn of the day. The dawn of the day is more empty. It's a theme. Um, the dawn has rituals for, for astral travel, but they're, you're not nearly qualified enough. And, and, and even then, they're not, they're not a physical... A couple of times. I've never heard of such a thing. Where did you find out about this? This was from the folio discovered at the... Pelgrain. Pelgrain mansion that I took from Dee Dee. I see. Yes, you did. You did mention something about that. And I felt that I had to do it. I felt compelled. Mm. I had to try it. Give her some more to drink, Jesus Christ. Yeah, give her a shot. Or another, another glass of whiskey. Mm. I was trying to wish me career. Yeah. Fading away. Hold me in the light. Oh my goodness. Yeah, so she's like right in front of you kind of slapping you. That's right. You know, come on. You're fine. You're fine. You're fine. You're here. You're here. You're okay. Um, so she says, you know, we don't need to talk about it anymore tonight. Yeah, it was. Should I start that one? Yeah, sure. I'm a skin. Skin. Skin. Skin again from the trees. You could hear it. Terrible. One eye. One eye. One eye. One eye. One eye. One eye. Oh. Um. And then I just slipped asleep. Yeah. Yeah. Does she actually sleep or is it just like... Oh yeah. I mean, you're so drunk at this point. Okay. Yeah, they got you drunk. They got you drunk and out. It smells really good in there. Yeah. But maybe they've been smoking something wonderful and I'm a little bit. It smells like the Chewy at least. It feels good. I don't know. Maybe I'm something on. Mm. Nice. Okay. Let's go. We flashed forward to the morning. Uh, hasn't really your back yet. Hunter's locked. Yes, that's right. Lily, you're on. Lily. I'm playing now. You're playing now. Yes. But your legs still broken. Aw. Uh, and then, uh, Celeste, you are... I'm not really playing. You are in London. And feeling... A bit... Kippers? Kippers for breakfast. Come on. Yes. Yes. Yes. A full... A full... A full breakfast is prepared for you later. Yeah. So you're spelunking. You're spelunking that down. At least six or seven eggs. Oh, yeah. Yeah, you're stopping your face. Yeah. You name it. It's there. I feel so bad. I failed my companions. Oh. You're so hungry. Yes. I'm healthy and hungry. I'm just gonna eat all my feelings. This is my dream. That was the beginning. Oh, no. How... Five of your magic points come back. Nice. Does she regain sanity? Well, no. No. No, we're hit points. But you're out of the danger zone for indefinite because it's been more than one game hour. Okay. Yeah. No hit points. All right. Oh, I hit the wrong one. You said magic points? Yeah. I don't know. I hit the wrong one. Okay. Mm-hmm. So Florence is still, you know, of course wanting to know more. Mm-hmm. I mean, so you told her about blacking and ducted. Oh. You told her about... I told her about the imps. I told her about the opposite on pentagrams. Upside down people? Yeah. The pandu. Mm-hmm. And I told her about Merlin's cave, what a big bust that was. And we spent all our energy. And the fresco with the dead shall rise. And the whole thing. The whole thing. The whole thing. The whole thing. Yeah. It's compiled. It is. All right. Five weeks. The whole thing. So she says, "Well, what is to be done?" Dr. Hume is presumably attempting to take Mr. Black out of the woods. Yes. He do not know if he succeeded at that or not. This point, I told him that I would probably... It's a fair assumption he didn't make it. So far. So far as we... Um... Well, there's Lily at the Hunter's Lodge. I know that she's connected. We should probably check on her and see what's going on. Maybe you could... Boy, you're in London. Maybe you could pop in on the North coat. Oh, yes. Yes. See where he is if he is indeed in London. And if I'm going to die, you can drop by Miles' office and... [Laughter] Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Probably get out of that office. We don't know yet. Call it you up for the biders. Mm-hmm. [Laughter] No, no, cool. You want to drop in on North coat? I think so. As long as we're in town, before we leave for the Hunter's Lodge. Sure. Okay, so you want to head back to... I'm hoping that they're going to come with you at this point. Like, who has some back. Yeah, Florence will come with you. For sure. All right. I think if he just wins... Build your guts to North coat, he might vest something up. I think so, too. I am going to point the shaky finger of... I'm going to say, what did you raise up before? Yeah, thank you. Good. Good. Get them all riled up. I blame you fully, sir. Oh, my gosh. Slappin'. Shit. [Laughter] You should. I think Florence would. Yeah. She says, "Yes, I did." She will move forward. Mm-hmm. She knows his address. All right. She lives in Primroseville. She lives in Primroseville. Yes. Yes. And, yeah. And so, you swing by. His servant answers the door, of course. [Sighs] Ask for your calling cards. Present. Present. Do you see that? He disappears. Comes back a few minutes later. Mr. North coat is currently caring for his younger brother. Your brother is the ill right now. Mm-hmm. He's left instructions that if you wish to come back, perhaps in a couple weeks, you should talk with him. What? What's your way? Florence, I'm sure. Right now. Yeah. Florence would definitely... Is he in the building, though? He is not a... Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? I'm not a Liberty. That's awesome. That is awesome. The hell is this guy? Yeah. What the hell is this guy? No, that's bullshit. Yeah. All right. Fast talk? Can you try it? Does it... It would work? It would work. It would work. I would pull out all the stops. I have a letter from the Prime Minister. Right here. It's a letter from the Prime Minister. It's actually a racing form. And I know you! What is your role? 13. I have a 40. I have a 40. I'm not going to do it. Dang! Are you serious? You would need a special success to get it. You could push it. I'm good at the odds, though. But what's going to happen if you fail? He'll call the cops if you try and push it. Yeah. No, no, no. That's the last thing you need are the coppers. I'm going to find this guy. I'm going to find this guy, bro. You're going to find this guy, bro. For scoundrel, it surely is. Um, I maybe you would want to go to the... Maybe go to the post? The post? Where's he receiving his post? Who is this young man he's carrying for? What was that? He's younger brother. He's younger brother. Likely star. Well. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. This guy did something. He did. But why did he have against Jacob Black? Jacob Black? Do you have something? The solicitor. You know, he never necessarily had to have anything in Jacob Black. He could have accidentally raised her. Or... Do you never know if she could have, you know, promised him something in exchange? What a deal. Sure a deal. Unholy power or something. Mm-hmm. Heck. Well, if we go back to the team at the... We can always go back for him later with more people. I mean, I don't know how to search for this guy. Yeah, I mean, I think if anybody goes into that situation again without something new, it's just going to be the same end. Mm-hmm. How big is this guy? The servant? Yeah. Uh, bigger than you. Yeah. Size 13. Time size 13. Okay, well, he's... Same size. Yeah. He may not know either though. Yeah, exactly. You know, he was just called... He was just called the servant for his relation. I was gonna like... You can try and push your way down. You can try and push your way down. Mm-hmm. 50/50 chance. Just shout it out. North code. North code. I don't want to do that. I think I want to do that. I think I want to do the battleship female and blast-passes guy. You know? You know? Your boss is flying? That's right. Give me a little 50/50 chance. Nice. 40/49. Nice. It's meant to be. Oh, yeah. You give them the only two parts. Yeah, yeah. You go. Yeah. Alright, so Florence comes in after you. Stop it through. Yeah. Where are you? Where are you? Where are you? Yeah. So, yeah, you're up and down the hall. Donuts. A door from some stairs leading down. Yes. Opens. Uh-huh. And North code comes out. Oh, my God! Nice. He's in his, you know, his shirt and vest and his sleeves are rolled up. Mm-hmm. He's sweating. He's got a towel over his shoulder. There's some vomit, flecks of vomit on it. Oh. And you do hear some cries of pain and distress from downstairs. Ew! Oh, my God! What are you doing? What's he doing? Besides-- So he shuts the door and he says, "I'm sorry. What can I do for you?" Wow! What a liar. Oh, my God. Well, what if it says, "Do you want to go better downstairs?" Yeah. If it is, maybe he got the same curse somehow. Maybe he went around. He has to explain it a different time. Exactly. Maybe he can pick it up. Maybe it's like loose. So the, so the, the, the, the, the bother comes herring up. "I'm sorry, sir. I tried to stop them." He's not going to lay a hand out to one another. No, he is not. And so, I say to you, the North coach, what if you watch? What if you watch? What if you watch? You have a lot to answer for, sir. Both now and in the hereafter. What's occurred? Mm-hmm. So he looks genuinely confused. Aww. What's going on in the basement? What do you have down there? My brother. Why is he in the basement? There, that's where the spare, spare room is. Really? In this big, big place you're going to put it in the basement? Really? You're going to put it in the upstairs? How? Why? He, he points us in the staircase, you know? There's a staircase down. Yeah, exactly. All right. Awesome. Why did you go to London? Tell me everything you know about Black Annie. Exactly. What do you know about Black Annie? Smack. What do you know about Black Annie? Smack. What do you know about Black Annie? Smack. More and more lies. But he seems genuinely perplexed. Damn him. What about the mural? He must have seen the mural. You could just ask him what his name is. Well, I'm going to assume. I'm going to say you saw the mural. Mm-hmm. It was you. It was your footprints. Mm-hmm. So that he nods. Yes, I did. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. But what is this all about? Why have you trespassed on it into my house at the time when my brother is ill and I preoccupied with his care? Can you not hire a nurse? Mm-hmm. I would rather tend to him myself. That spreads a little over there. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, brother. Mm-hmm. Pretty pretty pretty. Mm-hmm. Well, you know. Mm-hmm. Might we pay our respects to your brother? Mm-hmm. It's quite me. Yeah. I don't know if now you should be getting reasonable. It's too late now. It's too late now. It's too late now. Yeah, actually Florence kind of puts a hand on your hand. It's too late now. Aww. Yeah. And then she says, "I don't know." Yeah. Maybe that's pushing Google. So he's not lying. He's not lying. Well, you could spill your guts about what happened. Mm-hmm. Well, I'm going to say... Well, remember, he at least does have some experience with the occult and knowing Jacob Black would have some experience with the situation. Mm-hmm. He was an inexperienced just because he tried to jump into the inner order. The woods behind your house are infested with otherworldly creatures and have killed four of my order compatriots. Mm-hmm. That's terrible. And you'll have to forgive me, sir, if I am a bit overwrought. However, I have just looked death in the face. Mm-hmm. I understand. Yeah. Does he really? He looks empathetic. Damn. This guy. Yeah. He was tending to his twin brother. Oh. Mm-hmm. Okay. Yeah. He's not lying. He doesn't know. Mm-hmm. Is there anything in the environment around that some crazy clue that might be on the hall table or something? Yeah. That's a good point. You may have this quite in wrong. As I look around and I pass that. Is there anything that might... Damn it! Hey, maybe start with some current dancing. I don't know. Good job. It's a four-hour train ride, so you can always try that out. Yeah, I pass that one. Okay. So, you're leaving North Coats? Yeah, I have to. There's nothing. He was sworn spy tickets north. Four-hour train ride. You do a couple spreads on the bench in the train car. Again, the hangman is prominent. Yeah. Again, the emperor is prominent. Mm-hmm. A new card appears. Mm-hmm. What would be the card that indicates... Mm-hmm. Like time, passing time. A real fortune? Mm-hmm. Yeah. A real fortune. Comes out. Is that... Yeah, that's perfect. That's wonderful. Okay. A real fortune. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. These are pretty grim now. I hope that we're on the awkward. Grimer than grim. Grimer than the Grim Reaper. I hope we're on the awkward tick. Meanwhile, back at Hunter's Lodge. Oh, wow. What are you ladies doing in the morning? Yeah, I feel like... I might still be sleeping. Yeah. Uh-huh. I'm sort of like just there. I'm resting. That's what I've always been doing, but I'm... It's chomping at the bit. It's just driving me crazy. Yeah. I'm gonna make... We get late and... Tell her everything. And form Lily and everything that happened. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Especially since I have no idea where Miles... Yeah. Yeah. Miles, let's hear it. Yeah. It's home. Everyone. I've lost everyone. I've heard it. I only have Lily left. Uh-huh. Die through. I'm probably pretty distraught. I mean... Yeah. I'm just like, I... I... I fail. I don't... I don't even... I don't know what to do. I'm sure the past time thing is important, but I... I don't see it. There's just something missing. Oh, I know. Isn't it huge that we screwed up on at the very beginning? Mm-hmm. Well, you're right. I mean, I think the way to get rid of Addie is to stop this time thing. This is to get time to move forward in the song. In there. And she will instantly die, because now it'll be 300 years later. Right. Yeah. So... Maybe it's chomping down all the trees or... Maybe it's chomped down. Only one though. Maybe all of them need to be chomped down. Yeah. Lily says the Padma. Perhaps, and I'm... But at the same time, the tree that had been the most covered with the crazy looking fungus had been burned, and I sensed no change in... No. No shift. Unless you have to do all five words no good. That's something... But this thing is... The one that was covered with fungus... I mean, the first one that we found that was one of the five oaks wasn't the one that was burned. It was the other tree that was burned, which isn't one of the original five oaks, which is still... I mean, it's felt, but it is still intact. So, perhaps... Okay. You know what you're right? It's a pinaigram. Somebody used those oaks to raise something, to do something like that. Yeah. So, but I would be going in by myself at this point. So it's a circle? No, we're on our way. But I don't know that. Right. She doesn't know. Exactly. So you've got to break the circle. You've got to. Okay. So... Now we're thinking... Yeah. A little too late. We have more information now than we've made before. It's funny how I have time to think it down. That's not the last. Oh, my glasses are broken. Yeah. You're glasses too. All of these down to the fourth floor. Oh dear. I didn't even try to have me in those glasses. No. No. No. I don't want to be determined with you. Put her one eye. Yeah. That's all right. All right. I could. I mean, I mean, by myself, I could go into the woods and... I don't think that's safe. I don't think that's wise, I think. I mean, there is to be said the fact that none of us have been attacked as far as I know while in the woods. I was there by myself and I was not. Although they did burn the tree. I did see that. I had no idea what happened to them when it happened or so. No. It's just there's too many unknowns. It's far too dangerous. Is Florence coming with her or is she coming with her? No one. How close are they? Are they... Well, this is what you guys are doing during the morning all the way around the way out. It's a four hour train, right? All right. We have a fortune to go down. So you're chatting in addition to doing the part readings. You're chatting with Florence about the importance of pentagrams and stuff. Yes. I did get your telegram and I was going to write you back actually in terms of, you know, you had a question about pentagrams. That's right. As you may know from your studies, the pentagram is traditionally used as a means of keeping something in rather than keeping something out. Oh. So. Very good. So. So. So. The next step is fairly fair. Mm-hmm. Whoa. No. Whoa. So. It's keeping things. In. Maybe it's keeping her in the forest. Yeah. Maybe it's keeping in whatever it is that's a state. Keeping her alive. Mm-hmm. The fungus. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Well, I mean, that's probably like a byproduct. To be. Let me think. Mm-hmm. You never know. There could be some of the larger forests that's actually animating her and she's just. Yeah. I like it. Yeah. She's helping. She's helping. She's helping. I mean, her being in the forest, like, sure, she's a resurrected witch and everything. But there's something else. There's something larger underneath. I know. The emperor. Mm-hmm. The emperor. You're moving. You're moving. You're moving. Exactly. That's. That's true. Okay. Okay. Because part of it, too, is there's also the fact that the fifth oak was knocked down. I mean, it's still there. It's not. Recently. Yeah. Mm-hmm. It's probably hard to tell if the growth of fungus. Didn't he say it was time? Yes. He sort of was. The stand-up said this tree was fell recently. Oh, it did? Mm-hmm. It's kind of... Which was so weird about the fungus. They shouldn't have been that much fungus growing. That's right. That's right. I have something north of this land. Who did that? Who cut the tree? Who cut the tree? Who cut the tree? Why did we get him to cut down all the nodes? The tree's dead. No, he's dead. Well, what if it was that the tree was standing and nothing was happening? The tree was felled and that's when she was activated. Yeah. Well, how many would you have to knock down to break a circle anyway? Just find a little more fun. I just need one. It's seemingly one, but it's done already, so... We don't know exactly when the tree was felled. You're right. But it was recent. She only jumped up. Exactly. And then jumped up. That's an interesting idea. Yeah. A new oak. And it was only recently that this stuff started happening. Right. Yeah, it was only recently that this stuff started happening. Right. Somebody who was falling. Maybe very cold went out there and started messing around and chopped out a tree. Not necessarily north cold, though. I mean... Yeah, maybe there's somebody some other... Well, I was just thinking about the guy with the witch finder in the woods. Like, who is he with or what was he doing? That was a whole lot. Something got out of there and got into the black house, too. Mm-hmm. Long time ago, maybe somebody in the black family did this to keep black Annie there. Mm-hmm. There's a way to seal. Yeah, to seal. Okay. So we got to make this seal. I was like, there are other people who know that her poking around the side to north cold. Mm-hmm. Yes. So he's not the only person who could have conceivably... The vicar, perhaps? The wife of black? Who we never went to visit? Or just someone that we have yet to come across. Yeah. Oh, it could be just some other nefarious being out there. That old librarian guy. Yeah. Yeah. That old church. Yeah. I probably couldn't sell a church. That's a very twilight zone ending. Yeah. It was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. Yeah, it was the librarian. And then Mr. Finnegan. Right. And I believe his man-servant. Uh-huh. We're standing outside the door of the cabin. Oh. Oh, no, resurrected dead people. Mm-hmm. Right. Mr. Finnegan. Oh, okay. Wait, oh, and he's standing? He's standing. Oh! Yes! Yes! Yes! Oh, it's creepy. He's like to come back to life after death. It's so nefarious. Oh. That's so... We're so happy for you, Ed. It's terrifying. Yes. Yes. Yes. All right. Well, Florence, any advice on dealing with zombies? Yeah. Dead people. Dead people. You and our order folk have input here. They're sending us into the woods. Yeah. Today you're bidding. And hopefully earn some points. I mean, shiny points. One with hope. One with hope. I feel that if we can... Eliminate Black Annie. Yeah. That that will give us all the time we need to take care of any other threats around that cabin and save whoever we can save. Mm-hmm. Right. Celeste, do you feel up to performing your ritual one more time? Oh, my God. I know I told you how dangerous it is. Oh, my God. But I think this is our only hope based on all our discussions. I'm sorry. I mean, if you can, Florence can give me an idea of where it is. I can possibly find it on the map, plot our way there. I mean, it's not fine. But I think... For purposes of time. Yes. No. Ultimately, the problem is that traveling there physically is only going to result in more... That's... Yeah. It's got a literature. But how much more can Celeste lose before she just goes indefinitely insane? Well, you're okay again, because the 20% is within one game hour. So that's been reset. All right. Okay. So yeah, what did you say? 44? Yep. So you can lose nine points in a game hour without going indefinitely insane. But what range do you start developing, you know, pathologies and stuff? Well, the lower your sanity goes, the fewer sanity points it takes to go indefinitely insane. Oh, I'm just saying I've been hit points. Yeah. And then it's magic. You have five... Oh, wait. It's been... How many more hours has it been? It's been six hours. At least, I mean the entire night. So you get another three magic points back. So you're updating magic points. Do I get any hit points back? I don't think so. Let me double check. Oh my God. I might be. Because I've only got four hit points. I'm mostly dead. I know. (Laughter) Two blades. (Inaudible) Okay, no. Lauren has an idea. She has an idea. She has a plan. All right. She said, based on what you told me... Oh wait, let me just check the thing here really quick. Yeah, it's D3 hit points per week. All right. So I got four hit points. Based on what you told me, it is possible to take others through the bail into the astral point. Indeed. And I have done so. But would it be possible to travel there by yourself and then grab somebody and take them back out? Yes. I believe so. In an ideal world, I would say just rescue our compatriots. But I don't think you could do that multiple times. All right. I'm venturing the gas based on our discussions that if you took Black Annie out of the woods, it would be fatal to her. Yeah, her power would no longer... Yeah. She would have come out already. That's right. So maybe if you used to actually project yourself to appear right behind her. That's right. So you can see her before you appear. And you can choose where you appear. All right. You're going to be such a badass for doing that. So seriously. Because you'll remember Thomas Pelgrain did that to his wife's lover. He just popped out, grabbed him. Especially if you do it right behind her because you can see her. She won't even have... I mean... She won't be able to do the thing. See, that's what I was afraid of. This is a thing. Yeah, the hand thing. If you just come up right behind her. All right. Let's go for it. Especially if you're inside her house. No press her heads. All right. So just mid-afternoon. Oh, I'm sorry. Monday through the teens of March. I should do it in a phase. Go ahead and give me an hour times five roll after an hour of meditation. This is your finest roll. You're so good. No pressure. Oh, I think 50. Made it. Yes. So you lose five magic points. Oh, wow. And de-forceanity. Thank you. I can't think of that. You're in it too. Okay. So again, you come into this, you know, uh, strange other world. The sanity that you lose with astral protection isn't like the sanity you would lose for seeing that creepy-ass monster. Uh-huh. It represents you becoming, uh, disassociated from the real world. Uh-huh. So the more you astral project, the less connected you feel to the real world. So eventually if you astral project yourself down to zero sand, you'll just want to live in the astral. All right. Really? Yeah. Come on. All right. All right. So you get astral papers. Yeah. Okay. You've only had short jobs. You don't want to. All right. I like watching movies. You just like travel anywhere. Yeah. Yeah. So now I need, uh, another role to, um, center yourself on Black Annie's, uh, uh, cottage. It's such a bad thing. Yeah. This is Dracula. Right. Right. What, what, what am I, what am I rolling for? How many times? How many times? How many times? No, 84. Okay. So you lose a magic point. Okay. Can I cross me a hit point to do this again? Yep. Are you down to zero magic points? I'm down to two magic points. Yeah. Yeah. So you're, you're still fine. It's one magic point. Yeah. You're not, you're not in the hit points yet. Seven. Nice. Okay. Okay. So you, you, okay. You are at, or, or did you want to center on Black Annie? Well, I'm going to grab her. Okay. All right. So, so you know that you are now where you want to be. Even though you can't see her. Fine. So there's no need to do. Yeah. Yeah. No, it's still everything's purple. There's no, there's no sense of your feedback, but you just know that you succeeded in traveling to where she is. Fine. So there's no need to try and visualize the real world, which would cost you another magic point. I know. You know, you don't want to. So, so popping out is going to cost you two magic points and a power times five roll. So that's going to hit, knock you down to zero. Zero magic points. Oh my God. Triple zeros. Really? Really? Well, there's no penalty for a fumble, thankfully. But now you're, now you're burning hit points. Yeah. Okay. All right. Come on. Oh. There's wild, huh? Mm hmm. I really hope Florence is like studying. Seventy. Good. Oh, Jesus. 54. Oh my God. Oh. Oh. So you're, you're just like, let's start to flow again. Oh. Yes. Okay. All right. So basically Annie, Annie is at her cauldron, you know, just sort of stirring the foul mic. She's singing to do so for their journey. Oh, yeah. She's so pretty. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. And just like, you know. It's my favorite size. Yeah. Like, like, like, Frodo taking the ring off. You're just like, you know, you just appear and just grab her. Scoop. Yeah. And there's no need to roll grapple because she's just, you know, there's no opposition. There's no opposition. I mean, it's like the same as putting a gun against somebody who's had it would make it really hit. Okay. So you, you grab her and you can wink back in for free with no need to roll. Right. Um, however. Uh, her size is nine. Your size is 13. She's 13. Okay. I'm sturdy. I'm sturdy. Yeah. Well, I'm sorry. What's your power, actually? It's basically your power. Uh, 10. Uh, 10. So, like, 110. No, it's based on her size. That's your spell masterful size. Object speed. Uh, okay. So, what are your good points out of curiosity? Um, what? Oh, my hit point is one. One. Okay. Oh, okay. Oh, hello. This is serious. We're playing this game over on this side. So, characters at risk. If you didn't know, we're freaking out over here. Exactly. Okay. So, back at, back at Hunter's Lodge. Yes. Um, you're all waiting where Celestia disappeared. Of course. And about 10 minutes go by. And then, all of a sudden, just, you know. Winking back into each instance. Oh, my God. Uh, there is Celestia with, like, her arms and legs wrapped around this hideous, uh, hand. Oh! And, and she's, and they're both lying on the floor. And, and Annie's just, like, sort of scrambling. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. And then the, the screen just gets higher and higher pitch until it passes out of the range of your hearing. And meanwhile, if your skin's starting to, like, kind of flake and turn to dust. And the whole body just, you know, like, the skin just sloughs off to a skeleton. The skeleton, uh, dissolves into dust. And all that is left are her rags. Oh. And so, Celestia is just sort of clutching these rags and is motionless. Unconscious. Aww. At zero hit points. That was like four eggs far at least. And first aid. We're gonna give her a shot. Oh, my God. All right. Yes. I love that thing, guys. That's what she uses, yes. You get three hit points back. Oh, wow. Very good. So, so Florence is at your side immediately, uh, you know, slapping your cheeks and sitting you up. Yeah. Yeah. You're, you're sort of spitting up blood, you know. Foaming blood. Foaming blood. Yeah. Sandroll for Lily since you hadn't seen that. Or kind of hadn't seen her yet. No. So, Sandroll for you both. Oh, yeah. Welcome to my world. Oh, I was handling. I failed. I failed. For sure. Wow. Apparently not. I thought that's what she looks like. She looks better than I imagine. Zero for Padma and two for Lily. All right. So, Black Annie is no more. In that case, I might like to cast a pentagram ritual over her dust. Cleanse the house. Yeah. Hey, does that mean the thing she used to wink me out is gone? Is that? The magic's done. I would wake up and notice that I'm crucified at this point. You are basically, if you are unconscious, it's due to blood loss. Okay. Okay. So, you're still hanging from this tree. Oh, so that means, okay. They're still there. I'm going to say we need to book it out of there. And go save after my little pentagram ritual. Bless this pile of dust. I'm the only one, I guess, who can go. Yeah. I've done it after. What about Finnegane and Oswald? Are they still? No. Give me a pause. Give me a Contimes 5 roll to see if you wake up. Okay. Wow. I have a five. Okay. I can't leave them and Florence can't leave you. Okay. So, Contimes 5. Let me see. What is that? It's 55. I have three points. I could probably just wait for that right here. Okay. I failed. Okay. So, you're still out. So, you don't have any ideas. The only thing is, if I'm going to get him out of a tree and I'm tiny. Oh, you're going to need some help. I'm going to need someone. So, uh, I'm going to say the town's people. I was going to say. Actually, hold on a second. He had sex. So, did a party like roll and failed it. Oh. Thanks. A knock comes at the door. It is the county sheriff and local law enforcement investigating the disappearance of Jacob Black. We know where he is. They say, please follow me. We know where he is. We're trying to save him, like. So, yeah. This posse has been assembled. You know, there were these, there were these crazy Londoners outside Black's house last night. Shoot them off shotguns and pistols. That's right. And now Black's missing and his window's been shattered. I'm tiny pretty and wealthy. I'm pretty sure. I'm like, oh, thank God. Yay. Yeah, so basically you get the posse on your side. And eventually with enough sort of wandering around, which includes a couple incidences of trying to head into the center of the woods and getting deflected out towards the edges. It takes you the better part of the day, but you're finally able to locate the cottage. When you get there, you find the cottage. You find flaps of skins and you roll, please. Hanging from the tree branches. Make it. Whoa. There are pheasant heads on posts, but they don't squat when you come in here. Mm-hmm. Are they fresh? Mm-hmm. Oh, no. There are two bodies on the ground outside the cabin. The bodies of Oswald Finnegan, Robin Ward. Oh. Oh. I'm struggling to run to them. At least they're dead. Mm-hmm. Not like that. Not like that dog, right? Yeah. Mm-hmm. What dog? That's nothing. No, I'm just saying nothing. Meanwhile, the posse members are clambering up the tree and pulling down Jacob Black and I love Jacob. Oh. Are you there? You lived. Wow. Wow. And how's Jacob? He is barely alive. Oh, but he's still alive. He's barely alive. All right. Well, he already looked kind of quarkslike to begin with. Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. He's looking worse. Worse. So, due to the prolonged hanging by your feet, I'm going to say that Dr. King loses the point of dexterity. Okay. But otherwise, you're okay. His mind was as wet to be injured. Yeah. His magical abilities just stay passed out the whole time. Yes. Safety a few scenarios. Yeah, sure. Indeed. Um. So, uh, so the, the, the posse helps bear Dr. King and Jacob Black out of the way. I mean, I have to ask, is Dr. King and he can too now? No, no, because, uh, he was, he was wearing something more than a night shirt. Good. Fair enough. Yeah. I'm just saying they made, no, it's just going to, you know, black bait. You know, she stripped off his shirt, cut off. I'm just making sure that probably be the part that I would just say. Oh. Yeah. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. Okay. I'm ready to go. Yeah. So again, you get sort of deflected coming out and you actually end up coming out kind of on the west side of the woods rather than the south side. That's bad. Interestingly, you do know, you, you do pass by another chopped down. Oh. So that's at least two that have been chopped down. Uh-oh. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And, uh, and so that is- It holds in my feet now, right? You have holes in your feet. Yes. So you're going to have really great scars in your feet now. Our wheelchair. He's not using it. I guess I could. Okay. Eventually we'll heal up. Eventually you'll be okay. But yes, you, you, you're going to have pretty impressive scars in the feet. Wow. Okay. I have a note chopped down. Okay. I would probably recommend the next edition to see how many of them are left standing. Yes. I think we must do that. And I would suggest that we maybe re-establish that. Pick five new trees, based off of the map, and create a new circle. Let me see some saplings. It'd be nice. Yeah. Second, second, second, definitely. An idea. Just to kind of help purify the area of nothing else. Yep. Okay. So, um, we also put a salt circle. Mm-hmm. Between all of the saplings? Mm-hmm. Lovely idea. Mm-hmm. So that is essentially it. Mm-hmm. You get some sanity back. The accident. Okay. So, Celestia is going to get eight sanity back. Nice. Take it out of black and blue. I can't believe it. Well, that's good. I mean, it was, I guess, the different kind of sanity that was being lost. So that's probably easier to recover in front of. And then, since you all helped save Jacob Black to some extent or another. Yes. Padma, you get three. Mm-hmm. Oh, wait. I didn't lose any, either. Nice. Uh, Lily, you get one. Oh, wow. Oh. It depends on what you can rest in. I have. Celestia, you get four. And Dr. Hugh gets two. Okay. Oh, wow. Wow. I can't believe you guys survived. I can't eat that. That was amazing. I was so ready to work. Yeah, frankly, going back to Florence's flat is basically what saved you. Yeah. You know, you were able to bring her in as a... There's no way. There's no way. I can't see. Robin. Robin. Uh, Oswald. You were briefly re-animated corpse. True. At least you guys didn't have to kill him again. You know, these are shorting, though, that really didn't turn into a zombie. I would have no qualms of shooting him in the head. 'Cause I love him enough. Do you love him enough? If much. If my stepdad turned into a zombie, I would absolutely love him. Yeah, sure. Yeah. He would expect me to do. Yeah. Yeah. We were talking about zombies. Oh, zombies. Oh, zombies. Oh, zombies. Oh, zombies. Oh, all right. So there will be a big fat midweek taster this week. Yeah. Nice. Wow. A no-character creation. Um, no. None needed. Grisella worm. Well, shall we're willing to do this? We'll see. But he won't. Let's see where we're at. Let's see where we're at. Let's see where we're at. Nice. Okay. Oh my god. I'm not grabbing Annie and taking her out, but I just didn't understand how that would work or what-- Mm-hmm. But you did it that way. You did? All right. Wow. Game. Yeah. So Lily will be back on her feet for the next one. Yay! Nice. Yes. And I'm looking forward to it because it's a good one. Oh, hold on. We'll be watching it too. Yay. Oh my goodness. We assume we're all making our way back to London for the next time. Yes. Back to civilization. I forgot sake as I was six. Okay. It is still merch. March? Yes. March. Yeah. You've actually got the equinox ritual. I was going to ask about that. Yeah. So is that going to be part of the midweek taster? Okay. I just wanted to make sure. I was looking forward to that. Oh, yeah. Definitely. Mm. Definitely. Good job. That was a hard one. Yeah, wow. Wow. That was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Sorry for yelling. I'm very excited. It's quiet. Okay. That's a good sign, actually.
