So we interviewed Molly White, one of my former personal training clients, my current personal training staff, really close friend, talked to her a little bit about what she does as a trainer, as a power lifter, her upcoming Strongman competition in September. And yeah, just talked a bunch about that. It was a really good discussion, I thought. Yeah. And yeah, that was pretty much the last episode. I think it went well for a second, like an actual interview. Yeah. Yeah. I think our first couple went really well. Teaton was a good one. Yeah. And just got lost. He's got lost in the sauce. We're talking about drugs. Yeah. I think it was really cool. Our first two was like, we had someone that's more in your field and someone that's more in my area of expertise. Yeah. So. Worked out well. Anything interesting in the sports world, the world in general, you guys got anything about that? Well, the. Is it the Dallas Mavs and the Boston Celtics are going to be playing in the NBA finals? Yeah. I think that starts this week. That should be pretty good. I'm rooting for the Mavs. The big Luca fan. Yeah. And I hate Jason Tatum. I like Jalen Brown, but I hate Jason Tatum. And it's okay because it's okay to root for Dallas in the NBA because actual cowboy fans are actually Laker fans. That's true. That's true. I mean, the Lakers originally are from Minneapolis, so. Hmm. Oh, also they dropped the gameplay trailer for in Cedarville a couple days ago. It does not look like a Madden clone. So I'm pretty excited for that. Yeah. I watched it. I would definitely recommend it. It looks like it looks almost just like the old NCAA games. Just more modernized. Yeah. It looks really good. Yeah. Yeah. You guys are probably wondering what this is. Clown. Clown garb. It looks like maybe the country flank for Trinidad and Tobago. I like it. I like one piece, but it's like. That doesn't sound like shit. That's your most dog shit one, my dog shit movie. Really? It's not even a movie. Yeah. Dude, his little sweet mom walking around with that boner donor t-shirt on is hilarious. I love that movie. That movie is so funny. It's anything with Adam Sandler is hilarious, except Jack and Jill. That movie's dog. Okay. Okay. We're about grown ups with Adam Sandler. That's my favorite Adam Sandler movie. What? Really? Yeah. That's how I want my 30s. That's how I want my summers to be. He's awesome. He just had a new movie come out with the guy who plays Jack Reacher on the new reacher show. It's about them being spies in World War II. It looks really good. And despite what some people might think I actually liked his name escapes me now. The guy he played Batman. Christian Bell. No. Ben Affleck. Ben Affleck. I actually thought he did good as Batman. I did too. Yeah. The first time I watched it I wasn't a big fan of it. But when I went back and watched it I was like man. It's so bad. Batman's a beefcake. Yeah. Exactly. Different style because Christian Bell is more of a sleek and slender Batman. But I thought he was good too. Yeah. Yeah. They're because they're rebooting the DC universe and they I think they're down to like two candidates for Batman. And one of them is Alan Richton, Thad Castle from Blue Mountain State. Really? And. Do you know they're bringing that back? Mm hmm. And Dean from Supernatural. You know I'm actually going to go back to Dean and I got to say I got to say Toby Maguire as Spider-Man. Oh I love Toby. Yeah. I'm going to go back to the dog ship movie part one. Uh oh. I didn't like the Blue Mountain State dad land. I don't it was it was a terrible transition from losing a show within two or three years going to that all sudden they're Adland like I'm sorry I'm sorry you felt that way. It could have been bad. I saw it early 2019 in theaters in Lincoln, went with my brothers and it was the coolest shit I ever seen. I got to say probably I really like superhero movies. I'd probably say Man of Steel, the original like Man of Steel Superman movie with Henry Cavill never back down the first one. Never back down. Never what? You guys seen that? Yeah. Yeah, fighting the headlines. I love that. Yeah. Yeah. I first saw that when I was like 13 and I just, I don't know. I thought it was cool. I like like the training montages in that least favorite actor kind of Tom Cruise. He's kind of. I love Tom Cruise. He's crazy. That's funny. You bring it up. I love him. Never back down. It resembles Tom Cruise a little bit. He was great in Tropical Thunder. He is. Yeah. Traffic Thunder. That's another one. Mission Impossible. I can watch those forever. I kind of, I would say Sean Ferris from the original Never Back Down is a little bit of an underrated actor. I thought he did a really good job in that movie and it kind of sucks. They didn't go back to him in the in the sequels. Yeah. Yeah. They just made it more about like the beat down, which was like the, like the main event or whatever, but they switched up the characters. There's a small budget movie on Netflix I've seen called Rampage. I thought it was awesome. I've always liked them. So it starts off these. The first one starts off is like this guy, you know, mentally. He's not all there. Yeah, I've seen the movie. Yeah. And he just starts shooting up a bunch of shit. I thought it was a good movie. I'd probably have to throw at least one football movie in my top five. I'm probably going to say, remember the Titans. Yeah. And then probably Forrest Gump is a good one. My favorite director, though, is Christopher Nolan. He has yet to make a bad movie, Memento, the dark night, dark, well, dark night trilogy, Oppenheimer. That movie was really good. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm playing out. Interstellar. He's done. Yeah. He's done so many good movies. Um, let's see, an under, an up and coming director, I really like Ari Aster. He works with my favorite studio, A24. He put out a lot of good hits, hereditary. I don't know if you've seen that, men. No, didn't we watch a reditary or something? I've watched it. Midsommar. Yeah. Really good movie. I think I'm just preaching to the choir. Um, yeah. A24 is also producing a, a Friday the 13th show on Peacock. Nice. Yeah. I'm very excited about that. Nice. Do you have any favorite directors or know any? I'd just like that one from Transformers that did a lot of it. Michael Bay. Yeah. He didn't put the explosions. Yep. If you want your movie to have good explosions called Michael May. Yeah. What about you, uh, Sam? I don't know if I necessarily have a favorite director, but in terms of like film studios, being a fan of superhero movies. I mean, Marvel and DC. Sure. Yeah. I agree. Marvel. It's about all I have for that one. Marvel's been on the down tick for a couple of years, but yeah, but they were in their, they were in their heyday, I guess platinum dunes. That's a Michael Bay's production company. Happy matters. Usually puts out some art movies. Yeah. Yeah. The comedy stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Twisted, twisted pictures. Yeah. Those are good troublemaker studios. They did all the spy kids movies. Yeah. Those are good. Favorite genie are. Favorite genie. I like the one in the lab. Favorite genre, subgenre of movies. Yeah. What are you guys's favorite genres? Like, what do you gravitate towards when you want to watch something comedy? I like a good, I like a good comedy, but I think I like action best. That's why I mean, like I said, superhero movies and then like, you know, never back down and then also never back down and then like sports movies, like football movies. I like when they mix up to like comedy and action and you know, you definitely combine certain ones and certain movies for sure. Yeah. Yeah. I pretty much like all of them. Yeah. Love. Okay. I love rom coms. Like sleepless in Seattle. That's a good movie. Notting Hill. I love that movie. You know, I'm thinking like, I need to go to my head. They're so good. I'm not a huge rom com. What's got? Pretty woman. That's a really good movie. Pretty woman. But my favorite genre is horror. Probably by far. I like horror movies too. I watch so many of those. And my favorite sub genre is the one that scares me the most. And that's the found footage film like, Paranal Activity, Blair Witch, they make you look real. Yeah. There was one. Yeah. Those are good. There was one from activity that just like was a great plot twist. It was like the grandma at the end turned out to be the most possessed one. And then he turns around and she's like right there. Yeah. That was three. Yeah. Yeah. That's a good one. Yeah. I really like the found footage style. Those are really good. There's a really good movie coming out that I want a lot of people to see. What? It's called In A Violent Nature. It's I won a bunch of awards at Sundance and it is basically right at the 13th. But from the perspective of the killer. So you follow the killer the whole movie instead of the stupid teenagers getting drunk and having sex. So I think it looks really good. Yeah. I'm pretty excited for that. What's the movie? I can't think of the name of it. I saw it in theaters like a year ago. It's a horror like scary movie and it's about like it's a dad and his son grows up. He's going to college and he's like he has like weird dreams or whatever. And he's like possessed. I can't think of the name of it. Sure. If it comes to me, I'll bring it up. Oh, talk to me. Talk to me by a 24. That's a really good movie that just came out. That one we watched. We watched it together. Yeah. That was cool. Yeah. That movie is crazy good. You know what that one's about? What? The talk to me movie. So basically these kids did not, well, you're asking me. Yeah. These kids in Australia, I think they're in Australia, New Zealand. I can't remember, but they find they find a hand like a cursed hand. And every time that you any time that you touch the hand and you say, talk to me, a spirit will possess you and start to talk to everyone around them. And you physically see them and you put your hand on it. That hand becomes their hand and it's basically like you're reaching out to them and they possess you. But if you stay in there too long, they don't leave. And that's what ends up happening and yeah, I never seen that one. It's very good. It's a very low budget movie that was really good. What? Well, you guys are talking and then all of a sudden you have you seen it and I'm like, he's looking right at me staring into my soul, I kind of zoned out on that one. It's all right, I didn't once do you say you've done it many times. All right. So after that one, we have movies that shouldn't be, or well, is there movies you guys think that should or shouldn't be sequels? Toy Story 4 should have never came out. I agree. They should have came out with three after like the time gap. Yeah. You know, but I was trying to think it was one for was ended there. Yeah. I never actually watched four. Yeah. I just felt like you're ruining it now. I would agree. Toy Story is probably my favorite movie series as a kid. And you know, after they came out with three when I was like a freshman in high school, and I thought that was really cool because it was the same time skip as like we had in that time. But then when they came out with four was just like, you should have just ended it with three in my opinion, right? And then I don't think honestly, the way they went with Never Back Down, I don't think they should have came out with two or three after the way they went with the series. And so it blinks on and it blinks off and she sees it blinks on, blinks off and she sees it blinks on, blinks off and then it just like sprints at her. It's head sprint. It's insane.
