You're listening to a one FM podcast. Ah, activities in the park. Part of the Get Moving Greater Shepperton initiative. It provides an opportunity for residents and visitors to explore the region, to engage with their community. Activities for all ages. Ariana now joins Plemo on one FM 98.5. Good morning, Ariana. Good morning, Plemo. And a big, friendly, good morning to Ariana. How are you doing today? I'm doing very well. How are you? Yeah, I'm not too bad at all. Good to hear your voice again. You've been away for a couple of weeks on important council business, but now you're back. I am, and that's who it feels like a long time sometimes. Mm. So you missed us? Yes, absolutely. I absolutely miss you. Well, this interview can move forwards. 19th of July, not Play-Doh, Doh Play. I like that you picked up on that. Absolutely. We're doing a bit of doe play. We're going to be at the community hub that kind of, well, not kind of. It's inside Marutna Primary School. And that's going to be at, well, I guess I should say first. It's for all ages, but obviously this is going to be for more like younger school-age kids. But siblings, all that kind of good stuff. They're absolutely welcome, but that starts at 3.15. It's going to be a quick little hour, but it should be a really good time. We're going to make Play-Doh, make different shapes. It's everything you could think of with that very specific activity. I just want to clarify, being the nerd that I am, it says, "A sculpting happiness." Is this Play-Doh that happens? No. I like that you actually ask, well, you know what, let me take that back. I would actually like to say that most of the Play-Doh that we would make, it would harden if you just leave it out, but it isn't like sculpting clay if that's kind of what the question is. Yeah. Do you make your own Play-Doh, or does the council ship it in? Oh, I actually can't answer that. I think that they're going to have both if I had to guess, but I might be 20% wrong on that. They're definitely going to make some, but I'm sure that there's probably some pre-made as well. Well, I'm daring to imagine that you will need a lot of colours and a lot of dough. So, yeah. Yeah. Lots of fun there on the 19th of July, 315 to 415. Now, the 28th of July for all the tree huggers and tree lovers. Yeah, well, we are cancelling. Wait, you're talking about the trees. I'm so sorry. I thought that you, when you said tree huggers, I was like, wait a minute, what's that got to do with yoga? But now I get to do it. It's got nothing to do with yoga, Ariana? No, it doesn't. But I'm from California, and a lot of people that are in the yoga, people call them see huggers. So that's where I got that from. Really? But I remember where I live now. What you're talking about is our community planting event that's going to be over at the, I believe it's called the Yakka Basin Reserve, but it's over there on Nixon Street. And from 12, from 10 to 12, we're going to just go out there and get some trees planted. And this is for everyone. And all ages, all abilities just come on out and there's going to be plants that are given away. There's a barbecue, and anything that's required for planting gear is provided. So you really can just show up and just rug up. It will be chilly, but everything else is provided. And that's taking place at the Yakka Basin Reserve and, yeah, the Council does provide a plant, stakes, guards, mats, gloves, and tools, and even a free barbecue. Yes, I know. And I've always noticed that when there's some kind of sausage, sizzle or barbecue going on, people have the tendency to show up a little bit more. So I'm interested to see how this goes. And I'll be at that one. Yeah, nothing like a nice warm snag on a cold winter's day. Now, let's talk about cancelled things, not cancelled, cancelled. I knew what you meant. And that's why I don't like being any kind of bear of bad news. But unfortunately, we have had the cancel, not one, but two events. One is this weekend and one is next, but I want to make sure everybody kind of knows about everything up, like ahead of time. So on Sunday at 3pm, we were going to be at the tax community house doing a power flow yoga session. And we have had to cancel that because of, I guess we'll just say unforeseen circumstances and roll that right in to August the 3rd. We are going to have to cancel our laser tag session as well. So I do want to say that laser tag we're working to see what we can replace it with. So if people can kind of just stay tuned for that, that'd be great. But I do want to say ahead of time, if your plan was to do laser tag, we are cancelling it. Yeah, it's here as well, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it's been cancelled. So if there is a replacement activity for other of those, I'm guessing you can message me straight away to let the listeners know. Oh, yeah, that would be fantastic. I'll go. And we'll also obviously update our app, our website, our socials. So whatever it is replace list, we'll make sure to pop that up, so it's like straight away. But yeah, I'll be sure to let you know as well. So to find out more about Git moving, we go to the Git moving a greater shepherden app. Is that correct? Yes, I'm glad to actually mention that because I would have probably forgotten to. Greater Shepherden does have a new app. And when you go to the what on section, it's not even just activities in the park. It has activities in the park on there, but also any other events that Council has on. So maybe there'll be something else there that you want to do to replace laser tag with your kids. I've got no idea what the other department may have on, but it is an option. That's a things to do. Thanks to the Council. Well, thank you very much and welcome back, Ariana. Thank you. It was a good talking to you. And I have a great lecture your day. Yep. Speak to you next time. Take care. Bye. That's Ariana from activities in the park. A couple of cancelled, not cancelled, a couple of things called off on the 28th of July. The power flow yoga and laser tag on the 3rd of August has also been called off. A big thank you to Ariana for calling in today. You've been listening to a one FM podcast.
