Today I was playing around with perplexity, asking what were some of the most unusual use cases of artificial intelligence in digital marketing. And I kind of went down the rabbit hole and we've all done that, where if you've used perplexity, it lists a whole group of follow-up questions that you can ask. And eventually at the point where I was asking how, you know, for five innovative ways that artificial intelligence has influenced social media marketing, how it's impacted social media marketing. So today we're going to be diving into some groundbreaking ways AI is shaking up social media marketing from crafting a one-of-a-kind product packaging to predicting what customers want before they know it themselves. So AI is really starting to push the limits of what is possible marketing. So let's get started. Welcome to the digital marketing revolution. Here's your host Keith Bell bringing the future of marketing to you today. Welcome back. Hey, before we get started today, just want to remind you tomorrow, Monday the 24th at 9 a.m. My interview with Samuel Hart from hather.ai will be launched. You'll be able to listen to that on Spotify, Apple podcasts, and pretty much any cast box, any of the listening platforms that you have available to you. So here's a quick clip just to give you a teaser of what we're going to be listening to tomorrow. How do you guys differentiate yourself from other tools with respect to the privacy issue? No, absolutely. I think first and foremost, I always, you know, I'm that nerd who actually reads the reads the user and privacy agreements, you know, on the tools. No. I know, right? But just there are some key words to go through like healing. So first up, let's talk about a very unique use case of AI generated unique product packaging. So everybody's heard of Nutella. So Nutella had a campaign where they used artificial intelligence to create 7 million different labels for their products. And they called this Nutella unit campaign. So picture that you walk into a store and you see 7 million Nutella jars. Now, first of all, I don't like Nutella. I think it's gross. I'm just putting that out there. I'm more of a fluffinutter type of guy. I know I can hear all the cracks going now, but each one of these Nutella jars has a unique label. That's exactly what Nutella did with AI. The designs were so diverse and so vibrant that each jar became a collector's item. So think about that. All the people out there that collect things and some of the goofy stuff that people collect. Now they've got a collector's item, Nutella jar with a very unique label. So guess what? Nutella sold out fast. This showed how AI could transform something as simple as a jar label into a must-have product. It was probably one of the best examples of differentiation that I've seen in recent times. Next, AI-powered visual search and e-commerce. And I've done a couple episodes talking about visual search and e-commerce is probably one of the biggest beneficiaries of it. Now I've done a series on visual search and I've also done one on voice search. So we'll be talking more about both as time goes on, but let's talk about how AI-powered visual search is changing e-commerce. So imagine you're scrolling through Instagram and you spot a jacket you love. Instead of trying to describe it in a search bar, you snap picture of it. You upload it to your favorite shopping app. AI takes over, finding similar jackets for you to check out and buy. About a Bing, about a boom. You're done. You make a purchase. This makes online shopping way easier and much more intuitive. It's like having a personal shopper in your pocket. And I use this all the time to locate. Somebody will ask me to design something and I need the clip art that's in the particular item. Right now I've been doing a lot of work on some wedding invitations. And the person wanted a specific look and feel and sent me some pictures and actually uploaded those pictures into AI. And I was able to locate and find the clip art that was in there. So AI is, you know, for me, I'm discovering new and innovative ways to use it all the time. All right, let's shift gears here. Emotionally intelligent AI chatbots. So let's talk about these emotionally intelligent AI chatbots. There are some human beings that aren't emotionally intelligent. So I'm not sure I buy into this too much. But that being said, these aren't your average robotic customer service agents. Advanced AI chatbots can understand and respond to the emotional tone of your messages. So using natural language processing, they can provide empathetic and contextually relevant responses. So if you're frustrated or upset, the bot can pick up on that and respond in a soothing, helpful manner. So it's all about making customer service interactions more human and emotionally aware. I had a client not too long ago that owned a funeral home in San Diego, California. And I wound up designing a chatbot that, believe it or not, was pretty empathetic as it would talk to prospective family members who were looking for the various services that my client had to offer. So in that respect, I did have some success. But again, like I said, there's some human beings that lack emotional intelligence. So I'm curious to see how artificial intelligence will continue to develop in this area. Enough said about that. So AI generated content for hyper personalization. There's that word personalization. So one of the biggest developments in AI generated content is personalization. So imagine the content that feels tailor-made just for you. AI can analyze heaps of customer data to create highly product personalized product descriptions, social media posts, and even full marketing campaigns. And I've talked about this so many times in probably the last two to three weeks about personalization. And I'm in the process of building something called a funnel hub accelerator, which incorporates artificial intelligence and automation tools to do this exact thing, to tailor the message and response with what my customers once needs and desires are. So predictive analytics, another one of my new favorite words, predictive analytics can help you to shift through massive amount of data and predict what a product or what products a customer might want to buy next. So it's almost like having the ability to see into the future. Hey digital marketers, entrepreneurs, and tech enthusiasts. Ready to elevate your AI game? And some of the platforms that probably are most notable, notable or Jasper and copy AI, use them to generate your content. I don't really use either one anymore because I, as my prompt engineering skills improve. And with all the chat, chat GPT, GPTs in the GPT store, I find that either I can find a GPT that does what I want, or I can build one myself. Invest in visual search technology. So if you're an e-commerce, consider adding visual search capabilities to enhance the shopping experience. When I have my Shopify store for selling bow tie dog collars, there was a couple of different apps that kind of did this same thing. This was seven years ago, so I can only imagine how much better it is now. Implement AI chatbots. Use advanced AI chatbots to ensure customer service is emotionally intelligent and responsive. Again, I go back to the example with my customer who owned the funeral home out in San Diego. Leverage predictive analytics. As I continue to learn more about predictive analytics and how predictive analytics models are created, because quite frankly, I was terrible in mathematics, and I was even worse in statistics in high school and college. So it's a real struggle for me, but I'm trying my best I can to learn and improve my skills. But the nice thing is now if I have a question, unlike competing with 30, 20 other people in a class, now I can ask AI to help me answer my question. So AI is not just a futuristic concept, it's here, right now. And it's transforming how we approach marketing. So that's it for today. Thank you for tuning into the App Hour marketing show.
