(dramatic music) - AP News, I'm Ed Donneke. Manhattan DA, Alvin Bragg is asking a judge to impose a gag order on former President Donald Trump in his upcoming hush money criminal case. The DA is citing Trump's long history of making public and inflammatory remarks about people involved in his legal cases. The trial is set to start in about a month. Trump is already subject to a gag order in his federal case in Washington involving the 2020 presidential election. President Biden and former President Trump are both scheduled to visit the Mexico border Thursday, miles apart in Texas. This is White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre. - I don't have a reaction to the former president. I'm not gonna speak to his schedule. What I can speak to is this president and what he's trying to do. He wants to make sure that he puts his message out there to the American people. - President Biden is scheduled to meet with congressional leaders tomorrow about border security, A to Ukraine and Israel, and a possible government shutdown. A big deal to merge supermarket giants, Kroger and Albertsons is being blocked. - Saying the $24.6 billion deal would eliminate competition and lead to higher prices for millions of Americans, the Federal Trade Commission has filed a lawsuit to stop the merger. It was joined in the suit by the attorney's general of eight states and the District of Columbia. Kroger and Albertsons agreed to merge in October of last year. The company said a merger would help them better compete with Walmart, Amazon, Costco and other big rivals. Both companies immediately said they would challenge the FTC in court.
