Let's do it! Here we go. It's another week. It is a Monday. - Lisa Dunham, what's the weather today? I'm kind of confused. - Oh, it's gonna be nice today. Filtered sun, temps in the 80s, low humidity. - I'll take that every day of the week. - Yeah, we're gonna get some rain though this week. - Oh, boy. Yeah, maybe a couple of days straight, showers, thunderstorms. - Yeah, I'll have things today. - Yeah, in and out. - Okay, you know, it cools things off, it cleans the air. - Yes, it does. - You know what I'm saying? You're gonna look on the bright side, Winnie. Something you very rarely do. - Really? Yeah, don't do that. - Anyway, welcome in to Monday. It's not like anything happened in the news over the weekend. - Oh. - What on earth? It's a total shake-up in the presidential race. Now, we don't do a lot of news on the show. I mean, we have a newscast. It runs at the top of very hour on the Billie and Lisa morning show. But we don't usually engage in news. But this is an historical time for so many reasons. What was it? A little more than a week ago, there was an assassination attempt on former President Trump. And then this past weekend, Biden pulled himself out of the race for re-election. That's a shake-up right there. - It is a shake-up. There were rumblings last week that that was sort of the direction it was moving in, but it was confirmed yesterday. So nobody knows for sure what's going to happen going forward. There's some talk about having an open primary. You can't just hand it to Kamala Harris because 14 million people voted for President Biden. But it certainly is an interesting twist. - I think most people agree it's for the best. - Yeah, for President Biden. You know what I mean? I think he was starting to slip even faster. And you know what? You want to walk out with some pride. Yeah, there were some big slip-ups. You know what I mean? But, you know, he's an older man, you know, and you know, he can wrap up his time. - You can focus on that. - Yeah. - You know, his family and all that. - I mean, 50 years of public service. I mean, this has been in office for 50 years in some sort of capacity. - I just hope he's okay. You know, I want him to have a quality of life now that he's done. - Yeah. - LLJ Cool Jr. - That was some silly one-old white guy left, guys. - Yeah. Yeah. - Ralph's breaking Asian-Americans like Vera Wang and Joan Shengang, Shengang's my password. - Help. - Shenga Koawa. - Billy, help him out. - Joanne Chang! - From the family recipes. - You know my dad wrote in an elevator with President Biden, like, you know, before he was President, yeah, in London, just the two of them with the secrets of this guy. - That's so funny. - He said he was delightful and very well-dressed. - Always a very well-dressed, by the way, very good-looking man. - Yes. Have you seen his pictures from when he was a younger man? - Oh, man. - Oh, my God, Jo could have gotten it. He looks so good. - I think he did. - Yeah, he did. - So there's that, okay? And so there, we touched on it. - We made touch on it again this morning. - That was good, Bill. - That was really a productive segment, wasn't it? - Anyway, here we go. It is a Monday. I want to tell Lisa Donovan publicly that I have an hour and 50 minutes of my life that I can never get back. Lisa Donovan talked me into watching under Paris. - I didn't really talk you into it. I just mentioned that I had watched it. - Yeah, what is it? - Well, I told him because it was when sharks were rising up. - Yeah. - And it was like a stupid sci-fi movie, but I sent it to him saying, "Oh, this is like your theory." So, yeah, it was really stupid. - This is a thing, Bill. You know Lisa's in sci-fi, and you're not. - I know. - Lisa watches so much of that stuff, and she likes it. You don't. - Well, I started watching it not knowing what it was about, really. - Well, I just like seeing scenes of Paris. - Yeah, Paris looked beautiful, but Michelle walked into the room at one point, and she's like, "Okay, what are you watching now?" - Well, only watch stuff when your wife's not home, I think. - I try to do that, but she pops in left and right. - We should bring Michelle on and ask her what she thinks about all the shows, and what she saw me watching the rise of the Dallas cowboy chili. - Yeah, that was really angry. - Well, you know in Brazil, this just came out in Brazil, right, and the scientists went into the waters, and they tested a bunch of sharks full of cocaine. They're eating cocaine. - Well, it makes sense because so much drugs get lost at sea. - Right, yeah. - Sharks are rising up, Bill. - I picked a bad time to plan a trip to Africa on safari, because animals across the globe are rising up in so many ways. Every day, Justin brings me a story about somebody gored, mauled, or torn apart in Africa. - You're internalizing. You're hyper-focusing on it because you're going, but it's pretty much how it's always been. They're animals. - I think I'm going to make it happen. I'm going to talk myself into being mauled. - Well, he's refusing. Lisa, he's refusing to wear camo or the right clothing. - Yeah, you have to be. - He wants to wear his blue shirt. - Yeah, you just have to wear very light clothing. - Blue will attract them. They'll be all over you. - Oh, no bright colors, I've learned. - I think you just have to put off good energy. - Yeah. - That's what we need to start with. - He's going to die then if he has good energy. [laughter] - Oh, so it was a crazy weekend at Fenway Park. We had Noah Khan Thursday and Friday night. We had came brown Saturday night. Saturday night, there was a little fire up in the rafters. They had to stop the King Brown Show for about 10 minutes. But Noah Khan had the Lumineers and Gracie Abrams joined him on stage. I think it was-- - Night one. - Night one. Friday night show. Ask her what unusual food she had at her wedding reception. She just got married to a hunky guy last year. And here's a hint, it has to do with 7-Eleven. Have a great day, everyone. - Yes, anybody know? - Slurpies? - Beef jerky? - Beef jerky. Kristen Chenoweth is a huge slurp fan. - Oh my God, I love that. - So much so that last week, it was National Slurpee Day. - Yeah. - She went to 7-Eleven in Boston, because she's here for the show. - Yeah. - From her side, and posted a video getting a slurpee in the 7-Eleven. - I would have guessed Beef jerky. - Do you know what her favorite flavor is? - Um, I do not. - Oh, can we ask her? - Whoa, we'll ask her. - Can we ask her? - I love slurpies. - Yeah. - Okay. - It doesn't like a slurpee. - Slurpies are good. - And they're cheap, too. - All right, so what time is Kristen Chenoweth calling in? - Around 9-10. I would say, you know, start listening. Well, don't stop listening. But if you come back, 9-05 would be a good time. - Okay. - All right, let's go. - Now, the entertainment update, with the Billy Cotton. - Yeah, a big concert weekend at Fenway Park. Noah Kahn sold out shows Thursday night, and again on Friday night. Now Thursday night, Noah Kahn had the Lumineers, and Gracie Abrams joined him on stage. No special guests Friday night, though. Now, reports, rumors are suggesting that there was a special guest planned, and that special guest was going to be Zach Bryan. But, Zach Bryan, and again, rumor has it that Zach Bryan showed up at Fenway Park, but he was drunk and they wouldn't let him in. And since then, we have noticed that Noah Kahn and Zach Bryan have unfollowed each other. - Interesting. - Interesting. - Well, he's got that house in Duxbury. Maybe there was a party to get out of control. But who were we to say? - Yeah, I don't know. I did hear that his girlfriend was there. - Brianna. - Brianna. Zach Bryan's girlfriend. - Oh, she went and yet he didn't? - Yeah. - Well, that's another unusual development. - Did they go together? - Yeah, and then he wasn't let in, so she went in anyway, or was she already there? I mean, there's a lot of questions here. - You know what? It makes you say, "Mm-hmm, mmm-hmm, mmm-hmm, mmm-hmm." I'm just saying. Our own producer Riley was at, was it the Friday night show? - Yes. Yep, Friday. - Now, Noah Kahn, really big, right? You loved him. Like, who do you like better, Noah Kahn or Taylor Swift? - Taylor Swift. - Okay. - So, how is the Noah Kahn show? What's so great about him? - I just really like his music. I think he's really talented. He puts on a really great live show. I saw him at Boston Calling, like Lisa did, and then I saw him at New Hampshire Bank Pavilion last year, which is like this same tour, but I have to see him again. - So, you're one of the fans that paid like five or 10 dollars to see him the first time when he first started out. - Yeah, they were cheaper. I don't remember how much, honestly. - Yeah. - I probably spent double that in merch, but... - Yeah. - As we always do, right? - Yeah. - Well, that's right. You came in here with a Noah Kahn shirt. - It's awesome. - How were your seats, good? - Oh, yeah, good. Standing the whole time. - She got it. That's how it matched. Um, both times I was tested for a stroke because like I literally couldn't move my body. It was so scary. It was so scary because also my abuse happened with the doctor. The third hardest is the Bachelor. - Yes, I would think that. - Yeah, 25,000 to one. - The hardest are easiest, I'm sorry. You're saying that's the hardest to get on? - Hardest. - Oh, third hardest. Yeah, because I bet a lot of people apply to be on it. - Oh, a lot. - Yeah. Let's go with the easiest now, okay? The easiest number one, I'm not sure any of us watch it. The sixth season just premiered this past Friday. It's a show called Too Hot to Handle. - Oh, it's on Netflix, no. But no, I don't wanna watch it, but it's on Netflix. - What's that show about? - It's about, like, they're hot people and it's like, are you there for money or love, I think? And it's like you're trying to figure, I don't know, I don't watch it, but everyone thinks they're hot there. - Yeah, number two, Bill, is for you. Below deck, maybe your favorite shows. - That's easy? - Yeah, you know why, Bill? Because you have to pay to be on that. - Oh, yeah. - You have to get a special rate, though. - You have to afford the yacht, but even the special rate's $100,000. - And it's only a weekend. - Oh, yeah, that's pretty. - It's never a full week's vacation. - Some of the other ones that are on this list married at first sight. 823 to one odds, Bachelor in Paradise. - Yep, makes sense. - Yeah, there's a lot on this list. - That's concerning that the one about trying to find your soulmate that they're gonna match you up is easy. To get on, that's why no one survives those. - That's a good point. That's a good point. All right, let's switch to game show odds. So what game show gives you the best odds that are pairing on? - Family feuds. - Yeah, family feud. - Not family feud, no. Family feud comes in at number three. - Okay, well, it's still in the top five. - Yep, number one is the price is right. - Number, that's the easiest to get on? - Yeah, you have the best odds. - Okay. - Yeah, the best odds at appearing on TV on the prices. - Yeah, but when you say the price is right, as easy as that, just to get in the audience? - Apparently, yes, well, you have the price randomly from the audience. - I mean, that's how people are. - Yeah, they scan the whole camera view. - Yeah. - Okay, that makes sense. - Yeah, it does. - So you'll get in the building, which gives you a bit better chance. - Okay, all right. - That makes sense. - Yeah, number two is wheel of fortune. - Okay, that makes sense too. - I think also too, 'cause they do so many episodes a year. Like, think about it. They do hundreds of episodes a year. - Let's guess what the hardest is to get on. How about is Jeopardy on that? - Jeopardy is on number four. - Survivor. - Survivor? - Number four. Survivor is the second hardest. - Okay. - Yeah, is the second hardest. - Amazing race. - Nope, not amazing race. Big brother. - Oh, really? - That's not the hardest to get on? - Is the hardest should I get on with 3,332 to one odds? - It actually makes sense, 'cause I feel like they really make it hard to get on there. - I'm sorry. Big brother is still on. - It is, yeah. - Is that considered a reality or a game show? - That's considered a reality show. - I think that Jeopardy would have been the hardest, because you have to kind of be super smart, right? - Yeah, 121 to one odds of being able to. - But then it's also how you look at applying, because I would never apply, 'cause I would be, oh, I'm not gonna get on. - That's true. - Jeopardy actually has a high number of searches, 84,000 compared to the price is right, which is 29,000. - I'd love to be on Family Feud. - Me too. - We know that better. - That's my favorite. - You'd like to host Family Feud. - Oh my god. I just said that to him off the air. I would love to see his outfit choices. - That would be my number one choice to host your fans. - Fast money, baby. - You would be so good at it. - It's time for fast money. - Okay. - All right, well, let's put you guys to the test there. Let's see how you do if you're on Family Feud. All righty, all righty, all righty, here we go. Name a children's game, adults play in the bedroom. - Hide and seek. - Okay. - Twister. - I don't have a number one answer. - Oh. (laughing) - They're all right. - I thought you were gonna play. - It depends on the night. - But it's the last place you play. - You put, will you put your finger? - Yeah. - Okay. - My wife, Steve. - I know you want that. - Tell me the last thing, you stuck your finger in. (laughing) - My wife, Steve. (laughing) - We're coming up on topic time. Have you ever wanted to be on a game show or a reality show? Do you know somebody who was or which show would you like to be on if you had the shot? Top of time is next, 617931108. Give us a call and topic time is next. - Take one, oh wait. - What is the topic? - Today we're going to be talking about. - Billy and Lisa present topic time. - Talk amongst yourself. - Topic time. - Yeah, so a couple of minutes ago, we're talking about game shows, reality shows, which are the hardest, which are the easiest to get on, which would you most want to be on. So that's the topic right now, we'll start with the phones. And Jamie, good morning. What do you, you want to be on a certain show? Have you been on a show? - Good morning, I have been on a show. - Which was? - I was on $100,000 pyramid. - Oh my God, I love that show. - What version was hosting it? - Michael Strahan, I just aired last summer. - Oh my God, how'd you do? - I did not win, but it was so fun. - So how did you get on? - So during the pandemic, when everyone was just stuck inside, I randomly just was applying to be on different shows and I sent in a video and they contacted me and we're like, okay, I went through the interview process and they picked me. - Well, what did you have to do on the video? - So I just had to send in like a clip explaining like who I was, why I wanted to be on the show. And then the process from there was, you met with like producers via like video and they played like practice rounds with you to see if you would be like a good fit to be on the show. - Wow, that's interesting. And after some practice rounds, they picked me, so. - Well, there you go. - Where was it that you filmed, Ash, how many questions? - Yeah. - We filmed in LA. - Do they fly you out there? - Yep. - How long were you there for? - So I flew out on a Thursday, filmed on a Friday and then I flew home on Sunday. - Wow, that's a quick turnaround. - But they give you a whole weekend out there, right? They paid for the hotel and stuff? - Yeah, yep. - All right, okay. I might apply this for a vacation, here you go. - I have to ask, was it a nice hotel? - It was a really nice hotel, yeah. - Well, there you go. Michael Strahan, nice guy, right? - Yeah, it was a fun experience. - It was so fun. And Michael Strahan is one of the nicest people I've ever met. - Yeah, you get that sense. - So nice. - Yeah, that's cool. - Oh, go on. - You ever talk to her all day? - I know, okay. - Crystal, you're up next. Hello. - Hello, this is Crystal. - Yes, it is. - Good morning. - Good morning. Go ahead, where did you go? - So sweet Kenny K, he's from Boston. He is on Big Brother right now. He is, I don't wanna give anything away, but he's one of our good friends and we gotta call in and make sure we vote for him if he stays in there and he's amazing. - What's his name again? - Kenny Kelly, he's from, he works for in Everett. He's a cop and he's on there and he's undercover and he's not given away any of his secrets. - Oh, here he is, Kenny Kelly. - Kenny Kelly. - Yep, okay. - Oh yeah, 'cause it's live, he tried. - It's live, right? He's doing it really. - He attempted to, yeah, he is all live. It's a game show. They have live feeds you can go on Paramount Plus. It's pretty cool. It's like being literally Big Brothers watching every single move and they all have to compete in all these physical and mental challenges and whoever wins at the end, they get 750,000. - That's amazing. - Oh, that's a good hit right there, 750. - All right, we have to watch for Kenny Kelly. - Yeah, what's her name, Julie Chen, still hosting? - She does and she really-- - And she just signed on to host more. Even though her husband had a lot of issues and he was-- - Less, is that less moon best? - Yeah, from the company. - Yeah, he was the top boss of the network. - Yeah. - Let's go to Jeannie next. Jeannie, what have you got for us? - Hi, I'm Jeannie from Everett. - Yeah. - I love to show family feuds because I think Steve Harvey is awesome and funny. - Have you been on? - Oh, no, I wish I applied, but you know, 'cause my family was just so funny and we're always doing things together. - Yeah. - You know, I have a big family. - Yeah, yeah. - And so-- - Well, don't give up. - At least, yeah. - Now, keep trying. - Apparently they didn't think they were that funny. - Oh, no, but you never know. - You never know. I think we should apply as a radio family 'cause I want to do fast money so hard. - Yeah, Michelle and I, you know it's a funny thing almost every night before bed. We put family feud on knowing there's only five minutes left. - You want fast money? - You want fast money? - Yeah, we need to do. - Yeah. - I don't think I'm alone in this. I would happily help start a campaign to get Billy Costa and the Costa family on family feud. It'd be hilarious. - One caveat, his ex Lisa has to be included. - Oh, imagine that. Imagine if she gets one wrong, just yellin'. - Oh, fuck you, you fucker! (laughing) - That would be so funny. - That would be so great. - Actually, I'd love to go on with the boys. - That'd be great. - I just had my hair done. - Yeah, okay. (laughing) - Oh, that's really cool. Yeah, if you missed it out, we had some data from Casino Reviews that they, you know, they did a bunch of analyzation and they came up at the top reality show and game shows, odds. You have the best or worst chance of getting on. The best chance, the best show, a reality show to get on, the best odds are too hot to handle. It just came out with the sixth season. - Captain Mike here from the Talkback Mafia. Winnie strikes again and her knowledge of useless TV is amazing. Too hot to handle. Oh, I don't watch it, but it's on Netflix. It's 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. - I'm sorry, hot people. That are just too good looking to do. For someone who doesn't watch it, Winnie, you sure know an awful lot about the show. - I never see an episode where it's over like TikTok and Instagram, and it's the other little clips. - By the way, I wasn't kidding about the family feud. At that time every night, Michelle will be in the bathroom getting ready and I'm in bed. I'll shout out, "Honey, it's time for fast money." (laughing) - Good answer, good answer, good answer. Oh my God. - Good morning. This is Dini from Medibaro. You were talking about reality shows, just to let you know. There is a survivor show on called "Wish to Survive" in New Zealand. And my nephew, who is from Boston Mass, is on it, and it is a finale, and he is in first place. And he and his teammate have a good shot of winning $500,000 representing Boston. And it's on the USA channel, "Tonight at 11." - Well, Boston always does very well with reality shows. - Remember Boston Rob? - Yes. - I saw him last year at Del Fresco's in Westwood. - He used to come on our show all the time. - I was like, "Oh my God, that's Boston Rob." - Yeah. - And I was afraid to go up to, I wanted to, but I was like afraid of like Boston Rob. - And they keep giving him shows. He had a show not pretty recently. - With Amber, his wife. - Yes. - Yeah, Robin Amber. - He owns a construction company in like Florida now. They have like two more daughters. - Yep. - Yeah. - People on reality shows, they can do, well, look at Snokey, Snokey was here Friday night. - Yes. - She was at Big Night Live and she was a memoir after. But look at the career she's had from Jersey show. - That was a big show. - That was huge. - Everyone from that show. - It's still going on. - A million out for them. - Good morning everybody. I was actually on "Let's Make a Deal" a few years ago. I got selected, I was one of the participants, and it was one of the games where you go up against somebody else. So I actually ended up losing. But it was such a fun experience. They gave me a $100 movie prize for losing. And it was just really cool. Wayne Brady is awesome. - I never understood the way people have to dress up in the audience for "Let's Make a Deal." - Well, you want to get noted. - They're crazy, you dress right. The better your chance of being chosen. - Yeah, yep. - Wow. Wayne Brady. Still hosting that. - Yeah. - He's a nice guy. He seems like a really nice guy. - Again, this should have been your career path. - Oh God, the game shows. - It's really incredible. - Yeah. - Well, he's got high school. - He does. - He does, yeah, yeah. - No, he doesn't do it anymore. - He doesn't do it anymore. - Okay, I left of my own accord after 14 students. - If you were that serious about your game show career, you wouldn't have given up. - You know. - Well, how many years you do it? The quiz show? - 14. - 14, yeah. - Q14. - Yeah. - He used to get all serious about it. - Yeah. - You know, he used to like-- - Very nervous. - Well, it was a respectable show. Respectable, yeah. - They're a bunch of 17-year-olds. What are you talking about? - You get very defensive. (upbeat music) - The Candid Microphone. No one ever knows when he's talking into the Candid Microphone. - You know, Lexington, if I'm not mistaken, won my high school quiz show last year. So they're the defending champions this year. Have you ever watched High School Quiz Show? - I don't know, what is that? (laughing) - It's wrong with you. - No, we're not. - No, don't laugh. It's really big in Lexington Conker. They're in the show every year. It's like a high school Jeopardy. - Oh. (laughing) - Yeah. - I never heard of that. (laughing) - It was all worked out. - I feel like it's so defensive. - I feel like it's so defensive. - What are you talking about? - Oh man. (laughing) - So I was a game show host, okay? - You were. You could have done Jeopardy, Bill. - If Andy Urens for Brenda, and Brenda cares about Charlene, who pines for Andy, the three of them form one of these. Cara. - What is it, threesome? - The Dacono Music and Spirits Festival returns to Centennial Park Saturday August 3rd from 2 to 10 p.m. and it's free. Live music from the Warren Treaty.
