Pokud jde o věk, už to tak jednoznačné není, přestože na to existuje nespočet výzkumů. Do našich životů totiž vstupuje milion vnějších okolností, takže třeba zrovna vy se do statistik nevejdete. Nějaké obecné znaky se ale najít dají. Jaký je rozdíl v životě ženy kolem třicítky a pak kolem padesátky?
„Mezi dvacítkou a třicítkou to bylo fajn,“ hodnotí toto období dnes čtyřicetiletá Karolína Chaloupecká. „Člověk už není tele jako v osmnácti. Navíc se na vás všichni muži usmívají, protože jste mladá, a vy si mezi nimi můžete vybírat.“ Za nevýhodu považuje, že si trumfy, které tento věk dává, žena často uvědomí až později. Místo aby si své mládí užívala, trápí ji nesmyslné mindráky a příliš prožívá kritiku okolí. Podle psycholožky Aleny Plškové hraje roli v tom, jak si užíváme mládí, i to, jaká „traumata“ si přinášíme do dospělosti ze své původní rodiny. Pokud větší, začíná se s nimi mladá žena učit pracovat teprve teď.
