It was the Sabbath, and Jesus noticed a man with a deformed hand. Jesus’s enemies watched Him closely. If He healed the man, they would accuse Him of working on the Sabbath, which was against their law. Looking at His opposers with anger and sadness, Jesus asked them if it was lawful to do good on the Sabbath or evil. They refused to answer, so Jesus told the man with the withered hand to stretch it out. He obeyed and his hand was restored. God performed a miracle right the in presence of Jesus's enemies.
