“Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” This prophecy God gave to Isaiah was fulfilled several hundred years later. The angel Gabriel visited Mary with wonderful news that she would be the mother of the Christ. Mary asked how could that be, especially since she was a virgin, but the angel responded that with God nothing shall be impossible.
