Morning Prayer with Pastor Sean Pinder

How to Respond to Trials

Did you know that persecution is one of the signs that you are blessed? The Bible says in Matthew 5, “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Do not be discouraged if you are experiencing attacks on all sides. You are going through the fire because of your love for the Lord Jesus.

Do not feel like you are being punished because you are doing something wrong. In many instances, you experience attacks because you are in the perfect will of God. The Apostle Peter said not to be surprised when you go through fiery trials as if something strange were happening to you. He said to rejoice because if you suffer with Christ, you will reign with Him.

Jesus said to be exceedingly glad when you experience trials and tribulations because your reward in heaven will be great. Others may be talking bad about you because you are a Christian, but do not complain. Lift your hands to heaven and thank God for His goodness. That is how you should respond to trials.
