Psalm 23 Encouraging Scriptures - Morning Prayer

We're talking about encouraging scriptures from the book of Psalms, amen? Encouraging scriptures from the book of Psalms. Just like me, I'm sure a whole lot of you can bear witness to this. That would say, Pastor Sean, God uses the book of Psalms to minister and speak to me a whole lot. And I'm going to read you some scriptures here just in a moment. I'm going to read some scriptures from the book of Ephesians and the book of Colossians that talk about the book of Psalms, amen? And I want you to understand something, the book of Psalms is a very important book in the Bible. We know all the books in the Bible are very important. But I'll tell you what, when me and my wife dealing with attacks from the enemy, when we deal with direction from God, when we deal with divine strategies, when you're dealing with spiritual warfare, God often uses the book of Psalms to really minister to us, amen? And as we go into the book of Psalms on tonight, I pray to God that the same way the Holy Ghost uses the book of Psalms to minister to me and my wife, I pray to God that you'll find much strength and encouragement from the book of Psalms. Amen? I want to go right into the book of Ephesians. I want to read something to you. Listen to what Ephesians chapter 5, verse 18 and 19 says, it says, "Be not drunk with wine wherein is excess, but be filled with the Holy Ghost. Speaking to yourselves in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." So right in the book of Ephesians chapter 5, verse 18 and 19, the apostle Paul says, "One of the ways to stay filled with the Holy Ghost is to speak to yourselves in Psalms." He was talking about the book of Psalms and Psalms and hymns. You know the hymns that we love and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. That's one of the ways we stay full of the Holy Ghost. Amen? If you feel like your cup is a little empty, I dare you to put on some anointed praise and worship and begin to worship God, begin to magnify Him. The Bible says when they were building Solomon's, at the end when they were dedicating Solomon's temple. The Bible says as the musicians and the singers lifted their voice with one accord, the Bible says that the glory of God filled the temple of the Lord to the point that the priests were not even able to minister because the presence of God, the glory of God, had flooded the house of God. Praise God. And we know the Bible says in 1 Corinthians, knowing not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. So as we begin to worship Him, as we begin to praise Him, as we begin to magnify Him, the anointing of the Holy Ghost just fill us and flood us all over a fresh. Amen? Praise God. Now listen to this in the book of Colossians chapter 3 verse 16. Listen to what this scripture says, let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom. Listen to what he says, teaching and admonishing one another in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord. Notice, let me say that again, he says teaching and admonishing one another in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord. Now that word admonish right there, it means to warn or to encourage. And you know a lot of times when God's wanting to warn me and my wife, when we deal with fooling people, amen? When we deal with people who are triflers, people who pretend to be with they are not. Many times God warned us from the book of Psalms, praise God. But on tonight I'm going into one of the favorite Psalms in the book of Psalms chapter 23. Who would say pass the song? This is one of my favorite Psalms, Psalms chapter 23. I tell you what my mom and dad, they were assistant pastors of the church that I was raising. They were men and women of God. They loved the book of Psalms. Amen? I tell you what this is one of their favorite Psalms. And I pray to God that this book would minister to you on tonight. Listen what the Bible says here, Psalms 23 verse 1, this is David speaking. He said, now who knows better than David what a shepherd was. He said, the Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want, praise God. Can someone repeat those words after me? The Lord is my shepherd. You got to take ownership of this thing, make it personal like David. The Lord is my shepherd. And we know one of the things that a shepherd does, he protects the sheep. He protects the sheep from the onslaught of lions, from the onslaught of foxes and wolves and different type of animals like that. Who would love to come in and ravage the flock? The shepherd protects them. The shepherd shields them. The shepherd stands between the sheep and danger. And when David said, the Lord is my shepherd, it's the Lord our God, it's the Lord Jesus Christ. It's the good shepherd who is standing between us and danger. He is standing with us this very second to protect us. Amen? Glory to God. If you need protection, the shepherd is with you. Jesus said, I'll never leave you, nor forsake you, but I'll be with you even unto the end. That means this very second, the Lord Jesus Christ is right there by your side. We'll take it a step further. He is on the inside of you because the apostle Paul says, Christ lives in me, praise God. The shepherd lives on the inside of us, amen? So Paul said, the Lord is, go back, he said, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. My dad speaks of the shepherd being your sole provider, amen? The shepherd is the one who provides for you. When you are dealing with lack, amen? When you are dealing with not enough, it's the job of the shepherd to provide for the sheep. That's why the apostle Paul made the statement in the book of Philippians chapter 4 verse 19. The apostle Paul said, but my God, but my God shall supply all of our needs. According to his riches in glory, but my God, he shall supply all of your need. He shall supply glory to God. Can somebody say that? He shall supply. That means if your back is against the wall, if you don't know how it's going to work out, if you don't know how the bills are going to be paid, if you don't know where the provision is coming from, it's time to look to the shepherd, amen? The Bible says the good shepherd, he cares for the sheep. He's willing to lay down his lives for the sheep, praise God. So the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want, because he's the one taking care of me. He's never failed. He's never lost a battle. He's never failed. David said, I've been young and now I'm old. I've never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread. That means no matter what it is, that you are faced with my friend, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is about to provide for you because he's a good shepherd. We talking about the shepherd that took five loaves of bread and two fishes and feed 5,000 men beside women and children. The God we serve is a good shepherd. The God we serve, he is our Jehovah Jaira. The God we serve, he is our provider. He is in the business of multiplication. He's in the business of taking the little small things that we have and multiplying it. That's why the Bible says, give, and it shall be given unto you. Good measure, press down, shake them together, and run it over. Will men give into your bosom, for with the same measure you meet, it'll be measured to you again. The Bible says, God will open unto you, the windows of heaven, and he will pour you out a blessing that you won't have room enough to receive. Glory to God, who can use a blessing like that. I said, who can use a blessing like that? Well, friend, if you can use a blessing like that, you better be on the lookout. I said, you better be on the lookout because God's about to provide, God's about to make a way where there seems to be no way. The Bible says in the book of Matthew, chapter 7 verse 11, the Bible says, if you then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children. How much more? So, yeah, heavenly Father, give good things unto them that ask him, he is a good Father, he is a good God. I said, he is a good God. The Lord is my separate. I shall not want him. I said, I shall not want him. He is in the business of making us the head and not the tail. We talking about a God that ran manna down from heaven around the tents of the children of Israel. He was bringing it down so to the point that all they had to do was get up in the morning and gather the manna that came from heaven from around the tents, then he sent them flesh. Glory to God. He is a provider. He is a miracle worker. God's about to give someone a breakthrough, a provision, praise God. Let's move right along here. I feel the Holy Ghost. Listen to what he says in verse 2, David says, he may kiss me. In verse 23, verse 2 says, he may kiss me. My God, that's the mercy of God. That's the grace of God. David said, he may kiss me to lie down in green pastures. He wants us to have the best. He is a good God. I'm talking to somebody that God's about to give you a breakthrough of his best. God's about to serve you his best. I don't care what you're going through. I don't care what struggle it is that you're facing. God is about to give you his best. The Bible says the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, if the earth belongs to God. My God, the Bible says the cattle on a thousand hills, it belongs to the God that we serve. Isaiah chapter 1 verse 19 says, if you be willing on obedience, you shall eat the good of the land. Who is it that I'm preaching to? You are about to eat the good of the land. Praise God. When they went to spy out the land of Canaan, the grapes were so big that it took two men to carry the grapes. Amen, it took two men to carry the grapes that they picked glory to God. I'm preaching to somebody that's about to enter in to your Canaan's land. You're about to go in to your promised land. David said he maketh me to lie down in green passes as the Holy Ghost, as the Lord Jesus that's leading us. David said he leadeth me beside the still waters. That's the God we serve. When God leads us, he leads us sometimes into a peaceful place, into a place of tranquility, into a place of peace of mind, glory to God. That's why you got to be aware of anybody that's just bringing a lot of trauma into your life, I'd be aware of any type of relationship that brings a lot of frustration, that brings a lot of trauma, amen, that brings a lot of worry into my life that takes away from the peace of God. Because the Bible says in the book of Colossians chapter 3 verse 15, the Bible says let the peace of God let it rule in your hearts through Christ Jesus. David said he lead me beside still waters, glory to God. Who is it that the Holy Ghost is leading? He's leading you into a place of peace. You've been through the storm, you've been through the fire. Now he's bringing you to a place of peace. We know the disciples were caught up in a storm and Jesus shouted out the storm. Peace be still and the Bible says all of a sudden there was a great calm. He leadeth me, he leadeth me beside still waters, praise God, praise God. He leads me beside still waters. He's leading someone into peace. You've been in the storm long enough. He's bringing you into a place of peace. That's why we helped the picture up there of that river nice and calm and still because he's bringing someone into a place of peace, in a place of tranquility. The Bible says after Jehovah had so much wars, the Bible says God give him peace round on every side. God's about to give someone here peace on every side, the east, the west, the north, the south. He's about to give you peace on every side. Can someone say peace, salam, he is the Prince of peace. He makeeth me, he's about to make you, lay down beside green passes and he's about to lead you beside the still waters, glory to God. Let's move right along here. David says he restores my soul, he restores my soul. Anybody believe in God for restoration to take place in your life. The Bible says he will restore unto you the yes that the caterpillar and the cankle worm has taken away from you. David said he restores, he restores. We serve a God that's in the business of restoration and the book of Second Kings. There was a woman who Elisah had to say to her, you need to leave because the famine is coming. And she lost a house. The famine lasted for seven years. That meant seven years worth of a harvest, she lost it. But it just so happened that at the end of the famine, the woman returned back. And as she was going into the king's cart to plead to get a house on her property back at the same time that this woman was going to beg the king for her property back. It was the same time that the servant of Elisah, Ghehesai, was telling the king the story of how Elisah raised a woman's son from the dead. And that was the woman. And Ghehesai said to the king, this is the woman that I was just telling you about. This is the woman whose son, Elisah, raised from the dead. Look at the timing of God because of the favor of God and the timing of God. The king said to the woman, he said, you know what, I'm not only going to give you your house back, I'm not only going to give you your land back, but seven years worth of harvest that you've lost, I'm going to command my man to give you seven years worth of harvest. I'm preaching to someone on this webinar tonight. You've experienced great losses, but I'm telling you by the spirit of God, you coming into season of restoration, you coming into season of the great losses that you had, that God's about to make it up to you. The Bible says he will restore unto you the yes that the caterpillar and the canker worm has taken away from you. He restores my soul. He restores my soul. You're down and out. You felt beat down, but the Holy Ghost is lifting your head up. David said, and now should my head be lifted up above my enemies, round about me. He's restoring your soul. My God, he leads me in the path of righteousness, for his name's sake, my God, God's not going to lead you in a place to encourage you and influence you to partake of evil, to partake of anything that's against the word of God. David said he lead me in the path of righteousness, for his name's sake. Glory to God. Lord Jesus, we thank you on tonight. God, we worship and adore you. Restoration. I'm speaking that word into somebody's spirit. Restoration has taken place in your life. David said he restores my soul. He restores God is the one that's responsible for restoring back to me. Everything that the enemy stole, everything that I've lost, amen. Some of you tried and you failed. Like I said, some of you have suffered great losses, but get ready. Restoration is about to happen. Let's lift your hands to heaven and give God a praise for restoration. For restoration, he restores my soul. He restores my soul. He restores, shakara banuro busata, glory to God. He restores my soul, restoration, restoration taken place in the name of Jesus. Lost movements, lost opportunities, lost relationships, lost businesses, lost finances, restoration, lost jobs, restoration in the name of Jesus. I declare it over your life as a prophet of God, as the servant of God. I declare restoration begins in your life now in the name of Jesus. I commend it to be so in the name of Jesus. I commend it to happen. I commend it to begin this very second in the mighty name of Jesus. Glory to God. Glory to God. Let's move on to our next verse, praise God, restoration, restoration. I said restoration, restoration, listen to this. Look at what David said in Psalms 23, verse 4, David said, yea, though I walk through the valley and the shadow of death, I will fare no evil. Can someone repeat those words after me? I will fare no evil. Go read a God. How can I say that? Because thou art with me, God's with me, I'm preaching to somebody, God's with you. I'm going to say until you get it in your spirit, I said, the Lord God is with you and no weapon that's formed against you shall be able to prosper and every tongue that rise against you in judgment, it shall be condemned. Because this is the heritage of the servants of God and their righteousness is of me says the Lord. He says, yea, though I walk through the valley and the shadow of death, I will fare no evil. You shall live and not die. I will fare no evil because thou art with me, thy rod, and thy staff, they comfort me. What a mighty God reserve. That's why we have a picture of the wolf up there, I'll fare no evil. The wolf can destroy you, why? Because God is protecting you. He said to Abraham, I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. And I love this verse. He said, though I walk through the valley and the shadow of death, I will fare no evil because thou art with me, thy rod, and thy staff, they comfort me. The Lord's comfort in you with his divine protection. The Bible says the angels of God and kept round about those that fair him. The Bible says the fair of God is the beginning of wisdom, God knows you love him. You belong to him, and that's why his divine protection is on you. That's why you are still alive this very moment. Some other people lost their mind there in the loony bin, but you are still in your right mind. Some of the things that you have went through, it puts some other people in the insane asylum and put them into an early grave. But you survive. Why? Because God has reached you. You don't have to fare. His rod and his staff, they are comforting you. And this is my favorite one. Let's move on to this next one. I love this next one here. Thou prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. Thou anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over, solly goodness and mercy, solly goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I'll dwell in the house of God forever. Thou prepare a table. That's why we put that picture of that big table spread with all type of nice delicacies on the top of it, amen? Because let me ask you this, have your enemies been drawn close to you? Have your enemies been attacking you? That's what, listen to me, that's how you know the table is being spread. Because God ain't going to spread the table until the enemy's so up. Hello, somebody, your adversary, the devil, he goes about like a wrong lion, seeking those whom he may devour. But the Bible says resist him, steadfast in the faith. James 4, 7 says, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Thou prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. Thou anoint my head with oil and my cup runs over, solly goodness and mercy shall follow me, a fresh anointing, glory to God, a fresh anointing of the Holy Ghost, a fresh anointing of the Holy Ghost. I said a fresh anointing of the Holy Ghost, a fresh wind of the Holy Spirit, a fresh move of the Holy Ghost in your life. God, we thank you right now for a fresh anointing, God. You anoint a head with oil and a cup runs over. Thank you for the anointing that causes us to prosper, that causes us to enjoy the abundant life, Lord. You said you've come that we can have life and have it more abundantly, God. We give you praise, God, for the abundant life we thank you, God, for life that's overflowing with your goodness, God. You said the blessings of God will come upon us and overtake us. You said you'll multiply the work of our hands. You said you'll increase us a thousand times more. God we bless you, God we praise you, God we magnify you. We thank you tonight, God, for your divine protection, solly goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives and will dwell in the house of God forever, forever my friend. That's the God we serve. He is our shepherd. He is our shepherd and the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He cares about your friend. I said he cares about you. God wants you to know everything's going to be all right. The wolf can't destroy you. He can't wipe you out because of the Lord's fertility. [BLANK_AUDIO]
