Royal Neil joins us now. Our correspondent has been following the weekend's activities, just like all of us. Roy, welcome and thanks for being here. Hey, JT. Good morning. Well, we talked about it on Friday that may come as early as this weekend. And sure enough, here's the weekend and it's over and it happened. Joe Biden has decided to back out, not going to run for the presidency in 2024, as election coming up in November. So the big question is now, oh my gosh, what's next? Well, I'm going to go ahead and you weigh in. And then I've got some theories on this as well. Go ahead. It's all with just speculation at this point. I mean, obviously things are looking good for Kamala Harris, for her getting the nomination. They're still trying to figure out how that would work, whether there's some virtual thing before the convention. But there's not a whole lot of time for Democrats to find a candidate. Isn't that interesting that they waited until now to make this? I think they've been hiding this. They're certainly aware of it, as the American people were. I don't think anybody's buying the fact that they were really supporting him. Ever since it started to decline months ago, if they made the move before now, there would have been time to get a primary back together and let the voters pick who they want, you know? But now there's no time for a primary. So we're what, about a month away from the DNC, the convention, they'll have the delegates, the elites pick who they want. And right now, it looks like Kamala Harris. My thoughts on that are that it's a sham. This is the party that has been screaming, protect our democracy, and they just blew it up. And they're going to put their own person in without the voters' consideration on this. She was disastrous during the primaries up against Joe Biden. Your thoughts on that? Well, I mean, this is the system we've got, right? I mean, I think we forget sometimes too that we do have this delegate process, but it looks like it's difficult to determine when you'd have to go back and look at the primary calendar when Joe Biden would have had to have stepped out to really then change all the races. Because we've been voting since what, January? So he would have had to step out almost nine months ago in order to have that kind of a change to open up a primary. And then you'd be going into a lot more time before that. So it would have had to be more than a year, realistically speaking. So, yeah, I don't know. I mean, that's really just speculation at this point. I mean, we even heard though from Speaker Johnson over the weekend saying, he saw Joe Biden was in decline, and he didn't say anything. And I wish the anchor had followed up with that saying, well, why don't you say something? Right. We should all use a little blunt honesty if we're assessing the abilities of our commander-in-chief. Well, now the call from the lot of Republicans is, okay, if he's not fit to run, he's not fit to serve, he needs to step down. Well, that slides Kamala Harris right into the presidency for the next five months. One, do we want that? Two, if that happens, then she is the sitting president, and she is the candidate without having to have a primary. Right. And yeah, so I'd also go with the Careful What You Wish for department. Right. And then what to do with President Biden? Does it mean he resigns, or does she invoke the 25th and get the cabinet to kick him out? Because if she does that, then she's going to make enemies at the convention coming up. And I don't think she wants to make enemies at the convention coming up. So, I don't think she would try to remove him. But if he stepped down voluntarily from the current office, yeah, that would make her, that would slip her right in there. And does it really change things? I mean, let's just call it, Joe Biden has been running, has not been running this country quite some time. I think Barack and the team behind the scenes have been pulling the strings on this. Does any of that change with Kamala Harris, if in fact she does, move into the seat and they do one way or another, get Joe out of the White House? Yeah. Well, I mean, that's your assessment there at the beginning is, okay, that's your opinion. But I don't think, will there be a significant change from what's currently operating? Not likely. I mean, seems like it would be the same policies. She was assigned the borders czar. I don't think anything's going to improve there if considering the job she did the past four years. Right. Yeah. I would expect any drastic changes. She's going to try to blame her failure at the border on the Biden administration, saying, look, they didn't fight or they didn't give me what I needed to try to get something done. So she'll try to point fingers and shift the blame, but that was really the one job she had. Well, just like you said before, angering people, you know, the delegates at the convention, she got to be careful. She has to be careful, you know, coming after Joe Biden and throwing him under the bus, you know, in the middle of all of this, because that, I guess, would not fair well with her and the Democratic voter base, as well as the Democratic, you know, heavyweights that are in play right now. All right, buddy. Thank you so much, Roy O'Neill. Hello, it is Ryan and I was on a flight the other day playing one of my favorite social spin slot games on Chumba Casino dot com.
