(upbeat music) - Better strap yourself in. It's time for the Howie Car Show. (swooshing) - I mean, if the Lord Almighty could not say Joe, get out of the race and get out of the race and Lord Almighty's not coming down. (laughing) - A sharp turn for history. As President Biden announced at 1.46 p.m., there would be no last campaign for him. - Bush. - And in a separate statement, the President embraced his Vice President. - Look at that face! - Oh my God, I love it! - Live from the Matthew's Brother Studios. - Would you agree that this is the most serious security lapse since President Reagan was shot in 1981? - Yes, sir, I would. - Have a go. - You know what Stuart Knight did afterwards? - He remained on duty. - He resigned. - Big swing and a miss. - I think that I am the best person to lead the Secret Service at this time. - I believe your horrifying ineptitude and your lack of skilled leadership as a disgrace, your obvious skating today is shameful and you should be fired immediately and go back to Garden Doritos. - Rump swabs, hacks and moon baths beware. - It's... (upbeat music) - Howdy, car. (beeping) - 844-542-42. Oh, we're into the dog days of summer, no news today, right? (laughing) Oh my goodness, we had so much to get to. But you know, where's Joe Biden? Isn't this the moment, you know, somebody disappears, you know, they throw a ransom note over the defense into the compound and they say send money or he's all done and then you say, wait a second, I don't even know if he signed this letter, right? It's not on his stationary, it doesn't look like his signature. I want to see a picture to confirm that the hostage is alive and what do they do? They get a copy of the daily paper, they hold it up. Joe, they should at least be sending out a picture of Joe Biden holding up this front page from the New York Post today. The end, the picture of him, the proof that he's still here, where is he? Mr. Spaker, we do not know the whereabouts of the purported president of the United States. We'll get into all of this as we go through, but this, the most amazing story of the day so far is this hearing, this congressional hearing with the Secret Service Director, Kim Cheetle. Cheetle, for that is indeed her name. And you know you're in trouble when the chairman and the ranking member of the committee who happened to be two of the biggest fire brands on either side of the aisle, James Comer and Jamie Raskin, co-sign a letter telling Cheetle that she's gonna get her rear end handed to her, basically. And they have been handing her, they have handed her rear end today. I think though, there's so much stuff here, but I think the most amazing thing, and it got a little play before the hearing. According to information from Senator Chuck Grassley reported by real clear politics, Susan Crabtree, the Secret Service, now you remember there were two events in western Pennsylvania, that's Saturday, July 13th. There was one, a fundraiser in Pittsburgh at a casino for Jill Biden, not Joe, Jill Biden. And then there was a giant rally in Butler, PA for President Trump. The Secret Service sent 12 assets to Jill Biden's event at the casino, which was just people, which was just money Democrats. Versus three to Trump's event, four times as many to Jill Biden's event than to Donald Trump's rally, okay? Even though there's also a known threat against Trump from the Iranians, which we were told about last week. And even though the Secret Service, although Mayorkas lied about it under oath last week, saying it was an abject lie basically, the Secret Service has been denying the pleas of Trump's Secret Service agent and the Trump campaign to give him more protection, okay? But anyway, this is representative William Timmons, he's a Republican from South Carolina, asking about why Jill Biden at a small fundraiser gets four times as many agents. As Trump at a giant rally with tens of thousands of people, cut 40. Multiple whistleblowers and various media outlets have reported that the Pittsburgh field office of the Secret Service allocated 12 additional post-standers to the first ladies event and three additional post-standers to the Trump rally. Is that correct? There were no assets that were diverted from the first-- So no, no, no, no, this is a very simple question. I'm not asking anyone was diverted. Did the first ladies event that was relatively secure, especially compared to Trump's rally, get 12 assets and did the first ladies event get 12 assets and Trump's get three from the Pittsburgh field office? It's that's a yes or no, don't answer it. I mean, if you don't know-- - There's personnel that were allocated to both of those events were comparable to the risk at both of those events. - Wow, really? So you think that the Pittsburgh casino 400 person in a ballroom with ingress egress through probably a very well guarded parking garage was four times more dangerous than a 20,000 person rally in open field with the former president, future president. You think that that's four times more dangerous than casino then? - I didn't say that at all. - Well, they got four times the resources from the Pittsburgh field office who was likely in charge of the final walkthrough for both events. - Amazing, I think that's the lead on this story. So this is continuing with Representative William Pemons from South Carolina with Cheetah Cut 41. - There were additional Secret Service resources available at the former president Trump's event today. - Who made the decision to deploy 12 to the first ladies event and three to the Trump event? - The allocation of resources is decided based on the availability of personnel and their location and where they are, but there were sufficient resources that were given to-- - Did you just say there were sufficient resources? President Trump got shocked. Someone got killed. There were not sufficient resources clearly. - There was, yeah. - And it doesn't take 27 years of experience to know that? - It's astonishing, isn't it? I mean, again, Cheetah was on Jill's detail. I don't know if she ever handled anything for the guy, the vice president, Biden, who they called Cobra for obviously, 'cause you like to swim in the nude, especially when there were female Secret Service agents around. But this is it. This is the Biden administration writ large. Chroniism, DEI, gross incompetence, unwillingness to take any responsibility whatsoever. So, okay, here's a Marjorie Taylor Greene with Cheetah, asking about a time, if they've got a timeline yet in this investigation of what the hell happened, cut 42. - Why was Crooks able to fly a drone over the entire area the day of the rally and the day of his assassination attempt? - To my knowledge, he did not fly the drone over the entire area. - How did he fly a drone over the area period? Any part of the area? - Again, I would have to go back and check the timeline of when that took place and when the event. - Why didn't you bring the timeline with you today to answer our questions? - I don't have all of the answers on the timelines based on the criminal investigation. - Were you not prepared today to answer our questions? I am prepared to answer the questions based on the information and wanted to be able to provide. - Do you have a timeline at all from any of the day? - I have a timeline that does not have specifics. - That's a shocking. - That's quite a timeline. - That is absolutely unacceptable. - I have a timeline with no specifics. - That's a Biden administration timeline. - This whole block here just says free play. - 844, 542. And then again, this is in the intro, but it bears repeating. And this is Rokana, a Democrat, a Democrat. The Democrats were all over it too, like white on rice. I mean, I gotta say, it was because it was so shocking, it was so horrible. Cut 24. - Would you agree that this is the most serious security lapse since President Reagan was shot in 1981 of the Secret Service? - Yes, sir, I would. - And, you know, do you know what Stuart Knight did when he was in charge at the time of the Secret Service? You know what he did? Afterwards? - He remained on duty. - He resigned, he resigned. And Stuart Knight was not a Democratic appointee or Republican appointee. - I guess he was just a, you know, a career guy. And the career guy knew enough to quit. I mean, it took a while, but it took a few months. Unbelievable, 844, 542, 42, 844, 542, 42. - It's, we had so many cuts to play here today and we'll play, and again, we're gonna talk about Kamala. We'll talk about anything you wanted, what any of the events of the weekend. And again, Joe, have them bring you in. You know, this is an easy front page to understand. The end, the New York Post. And then you're walking out the door towards your ice cream. He made his decision on National Ice Cream Day. How appropriate was it? - 844, 542, 42. I'm Howie Carr. - The Howie Carr show. (upbeat music) - He's Howie Carr. (upbeat music) RayCawn just launched their upgraded model of the best-selling everyday earbuds. Byraycawn.com/Howie. Jared, what's the poll question? What are the results thus far? - Today's poll question, which you can vote in at HowieCarshow.com, is should Biden remain as president until January? - Yes, he should. I don't know what the, I don't know what Vance and the Johnson and the rest of the Republicans are talking about. He's better, he's a great campaign ad for the Republicans. And do you think, do you think Kamala Harris is any more of sound mind than Brandon is? I don't think so. - So yes, he should remain president. - Only 23% say yes, 77% say no. - Think about it. Think about what you think about, come on. Okay, before we, we got full lines here, but I want-- - Think about what you think about. - I just want to play a quick cut. There was some comic relief at the hearing today provided by you know who AOC cut 26. - Respectfully Dr. Cheetah as well. Dr. No, no, that would be Dr. Jill. She's director, Cheetah. 844-542-4844-542-42. Todd, you're next with Howie Carr, go ahead Todd. - Hey, Howie, thanks for taking my call. First of all, the reason that the Democrats on the panel are asking quote unquote tough questions is because they're looking at each other going, I can't believe this is all the Republicans are going to do about this. All the Republicans ever seem to do in a time of crisis. They never make use of it. They hold hearings and no one gets arrested. If the Democrats-- - Who's going to arrest her? Who's going to arrest her? Come on, be serious. - No, no, no, no, no, I'm not talking about her. I'm looking at if Biden, if there is an assassination attempt on Biden, people will be rounded up. People will be asking for handover names just like they did at the January 6th, and they would be looking to overturn the Second Amendment. They would take full advantage of it. - Wait a second, wait a second, Todd. I mean, I'm not defending these Democrats. They had to go with the flow today, but some of them did ask good questions. But some of these nitwits, like Eleanor Norton from the District of Columbia in that fool, Jerry Connolly, who's from Northern Virginia, is originally from this rotten state of Massachusetts. They were trying to get her to talk about, gun control legislation, and she wouldn't even bite on that. So they were trying to do their usual thing today. - But no one's going to get arrested. No one's going to be let away in handcuffs, and they're looking at it to teach it. - The guy's dead, the guy's dead. I mean, again, you know, I agree with you. We're all frustrated by the fact that these hearings never produce anything, but in this case, they had to have something, they had to have something there. She didn't want to go out there today. Comer and Raskin, again, you know, a very Trumpian conservative Republican and Raskin, who's a not, another not from Harvard Law School and now in Maryland, he's, you know, they agreed that she had to come and testify and she did a terrible, terrible job. And it was an advertisement for the utter incompetency and corruption of the Biden administration. I don't think you could knock the hearing in that sense from a political standpoint. Dan, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Dan. - Hey, Howie. Thanks for taking my call on Nurse Dan for US Congress. Two things, one, the whole Secret Service failure. It shows you what you get when you prioritize DEI over merit. - Right, exactly. - And everything, Camilla Harris, it's an audition. We know she's going to flub the audition. - So, Director, do you either-- - Go ahead. - To give her a 30-day audition. They're giving her a 30-day audition. She's going to fail. It's going to be a free-for-all at the convention. You're going to have plenty of material for your show going all the way up to November. - I think so, Dan. I don't think there's any question about that. Thanks for calling it. Eight, four, four, five hundred, forty-two, forty-two. Nurse Dan ran for Congress the last time as a Republican. I guarantee you, he would have been out of Nantucket this on Nantucket this weekend, where they're still having more and more problems with the foam and the fiberglass watching up on the beaches. And another green energy scam, as President Trump has been calling it, a green energy scam, as he called it in his acceptance speech on Thursday night. That's exactly what it was. Eight, four, four, five hundred, forty-two, forty-two, Dale, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Dale. - Hey, how you doing, Howie? Yeah, I just think, you know, the Secret Service being incompetent is kind of, you know, an easy excuse to get out on. I was kind of floating the idea of why CNN who never reports on Trump at all, or they do report, they hate him. Why were they live streaming that day? I know they show up at his rallies, but they never live streamed. So I know it's kind of conspiracy stuff. It makes kind of no sense to me to decide to live stream the day he almost gets out. - No, I know. I know, you know, Sean Davis from the Federalist, which I always think of as kind of one of the more sober conservative websites. He was the one who first reported that they had turned down that the Secret Service in Biden had turned down Trump's request for more security. And he tweeted out, and they denied it. They accused him of being a conspiracy theorist, tin foil hat, where, et cetera, et cetera. It was all true. What he said, everything was true. He broke the story. He tweeted out over the weekend. I retweeted it. He said, Biden only got out of the race after they failed to jail Donald Trump, and they failed to assassinate him. Now, whatever they, whoever they are, they failed. And then Biden is gone. Now Biden is gone. 844, 542, 42. Biden canceled an important meeting with Netanyahu tomorrow. I thought that was one of the reasons, last week they were saying he wanted to stay on to meet Netanyahu. He's canceled a meeting? Netanyahu now asking to meet with Trump. Good Lord, 844, 542, 42. I'm Howie Carr. (upbeat music) - Live from the Matthews Brothers Studios. - 844, 542, 42. (upbeat music) Anyone who remembered a Jeb Bush moment in New Hampshire in the 2016 presidential primary, the police clap moment, we had one of those this morning. - We slept. - There it is. We had one of those this morning. She was Kamala. Kacklin Kamala was channeling Jeb Bush, cut seven. - And I wanted to say a few words about our president. - Joe Biden's legacy of accomplishment over the past three years is unmatched in modern history. In one term, he has already, yes, you may clap. (laughing) - Or you may not. All right, it's time for Grace with the news. - Well, you just gave me a nice little segue, Howie, because I was gonna redo this latest headline from the New York Post. It says, Schumer and Jeffries praise Kamala Harris's great start on presidential nomination, but decline to endorse her. Great start. I mean, what has she done? - Please clap. - It just happened yesterday. (laughing) She gave like a 30 minute speech at the NCAA thing where she said, please clap and beyond that, I'm not really quite sure what she's done. But this is a great, if this is a great start, we are truly in for a treat here. Now, it is worth noting the New York Times editorial board wants Kamala Harris out of the race and they're not the only ones. There's been plenty of Democrats that are concerned that this is subverting democracy and disenfranchising the 14 million people who voted for Joe Biden not Kamala Harris. - How about the people in the States where they canceled the primary? Can they be included in addition to the 14 million who voted for Joe Biden? Like the Democrats in Florida didn't get a chance to vote. I don't believe they got a chance to vote in North Carolina either. Those are big states. - And Gretchen Whitmer is saying that she is not going to throw her hat in any sort of ring, whether it means for VP or running for this nomination. She said she's staying in Michigan. But that was my other question is that people are speculating like, oh, Gavin Newsom was supposed to be at this event and he left and everyone's trying to figure out how, and this is always how these things go. It was the same thing with JD Vans. Oh, a motorcade, you hear all these different rumors. But my question there is if none of these people had the spine to do this when Joe Biden was clearly failing on the world stage, you think now they're going to try to leapfrog Kamala Harris? - I believe the New York Times and Morning Joe. They said he was more cogent than ever. Whatever happened, who's going to lead the Socratic dialogues now in the Oval Office? - But you know what I mean? It's like if they weren't going to do it then, why would they get involved now? 107 days out from this disaster. - Well, I mean, the New York Times did the Friday morning after the debate on Thursday night. They ran an editorial saying Joe's got to go. I mean, it took a month, but they got rid of him. - Yeah, and it is like the religious tract. What's the Vatican newspaper law versus observatory or something like that? You know, the official mouthpiece of the Vatican. I mean, the New York Times is the official mouthpiece of the deep state slash Democrat party. - And now you have all these same media talking heads. So they went from telling us that Joe Biden's brilliant to Joe, to dudes got to go. And now their latest thing is he's a patriot. He's a saint. - He's selfless. That's the word. That's the big word, selfless. - If he's doing this for, he's putting country before man. And it's, how does anyone-- - And by the way, and Kamala Harris is the most brilliant person who's ever walked the face of the earth. - She's astute. - Her speech today at the NCAA Sports Day, that put the Gettysburg address in the outhouse. - To shame. - It dwarfed the sermon on the mouth. - I don't understand how, now here's, you know what, I'll go to this. I won't wax poetic here. Debate. Trump and Biden had agreed to it one more debate. I think it was in September. - Yes. - What's your predictions? Last time I talked to you, you said, "Oh, Trump has to do it." - I think he has to do it. That was my backup poll question. - I would say he definitely doesn't have to do it on her terms. - No, let's switch it to Fox. That's what he said. He said, "Why do it on a deep state network?" - But do you think Kamala Harris will agree to a Fox debate? She's already on thin ice when it comes to answering a basic question from a friendly network. You think she's going to go on to Fox? - I don't think she has a choice, don't she? - I don't think so either. And I think he's playing this right. It's like, "Fine, you want to debate me?" Great. Well, if you're the candidate, supposedly, we can debate on Fox and we can, you know, have this be. And honestly, CNN, how we everyone, after CNN hosted the debate between Biden and Trump, I had a lot of callers who weren't wrong, who said, you know, Tapper and Dana Bash, they weren't terrible, they were better than I suspected. The only reason they weren't terrible is because that was an attempt to get rid of Joe Biden. If they had thought Biden was going to be the candidate, they would have gone full on anti-Trump the whole time. They only were fair because they wanted Biden to implode and he did. - I'm just looking at these cuts. These are amazing cuts, all of them. - Oh, let's play in Nancy May. She didn't like this cut, but I didn't think this was a bad cut. At least she didn't swear in this cut. Cut 32, Nancy May, South Carolina. - So, Director Chino, I have a series of questions, very specific questions. I want very specific answers. Most of my questions are gonna demand a yes or no answer. Do you understand? - I do. - Okay, my first question. Both sides of the aisle today have asked for your resignation. Would you like to use my five minutes to draft your resignation letter? Yes or no? - No, thank you. - I really don't mind that one. I'm not a huge Nancy May fan. I find that she's kind of theatrical. - Sometimes you have to play to the cheap seats. - Yeah, and that's exactly what she was doing. - And I've been known to do that myself. - I will tell people this though. If you go to HoweyCarsha.com, not right now, wait like 20 minutes. I'm putting up a column for people who maybe aren't on social media, Howey, and didn't have time to watch the entire hearing. I have just cherry-picked the best cuts from this hearing of Kimberly Chito, the Director of the Secret Service. And here's the craziest part. I would say 70 to 80% of these cuts are from Democrats. The Democrats weren't bad. Rokana, Moskowitz, AOC. I mean, when you-- - Stephen Lynch was okay. - He was like, he was like he was going back in time to talk into Billy Bulger in 2003. - I don't know how this, I don't know. I didn't think this was gonna be the time that everyone was unified, but it's nice to see. - Okay, now we've, we all made sport of her last week, or, you know, or appalled by her references to the sloped roof. So James Comer, the Republican Chairman of the committee, asked her about the sloped roof. Cut 17. - One of the things that you said, I believe in an interview, that there wasn't an agent on the roof because it was a sloped roof, is that normal? And do you fear that that immediately creates an opportunity for future would-be assassins to look for a slanted roof? I mean, this is a huge question that every American has. Why wasn't a Secret Service agent on the roof? And there have been reports that agents were supposed to be on the roof, but it was hot that day and they didn't want to be on the roof. - Can you answer any of those questions, Director? - So I appreciate you asking me that question, Chairman. I should have been more clear in my answer when I spoke about where we place personnel in that interview. What I can tell you is that there was a plan in place to provide Overwatch and we are still looking into responsibilities and who was going to provide Overwatch. But the Secret Service in general, not speaking specifically to this incident, when we are providing Overwatch, whether that be through counter snipers or other technology, prefer to have sterile rooftops. - Sterile rooftops? I've never seen a sterile rooftop. You know, birds fly over the roofs. What a fool! She can't even speak English. - I liked when she said that she was the best person. Like, did she not gonna resign because she's the best person? I thought, oh, it must be slim pickens. If you're the best we can do, after the former president almost gets assassinated, you're the best we can do. And how about Moskowitz saying, you know, if Trump had been assassinated, would you resign then? She couldn't even give a straight answer to that. That to me feels like a yes. - Yeah, I mean, all these cuts are worth playing and there were so many of them and I know it's a work day for most of us. Cut 30, Jared Moskowitz from Fort Lauderdale. Cut 30. - If Trump had been assassinated that day, if the gunman had succeeded, okay? Would you have come and tendered your resignation? - I would still be sitting here because I would want to ensure the integrity of the investigation. - Totally understand. - That's a fair answer that you would have set up that process. But would you have had the honor to come in front of the committee and say, a president was assassinated? Foreign president was assassinated on my watch. There should be new leadership. - I think that I have admitted that there was-- - No, no, that's what I'm asking. Would you have tendered your resignation if he had been killed? - That occurred on my watch and I am accountable for that. - Okay, but would you have tendered your resignation if he had been killed? - I think that I've admitted that I've taken accountability and we'll take responsibility. - Okay. - I think he should have kept doing it longer. She still didn't give us the right answer. You know what her best answer would have been, Halley? I'm not gonna answer hypotheticals. That would have been-- - That's the traditional answer. - It works better than saying-- - For a question like that. - I think I've admitted I take full responsibility. - Yeah, that's one of their weasily ways out. Then another one is thank you, Congressman, or Senator for your question. - Thank you very much. - Thanks for that question and I'm not gonna answer it. Sources and methods, ongoing investigation, et cetera, et cetera. - But you know how this whole thing about I've taken full responsibility? If you take full responsibility for something and you're the head and you're the leader, you resign, that's the part of it where that's the taking. That's the responsibility taking right there. It's not just you get to say, it was my fault and then you get a free pass. Someone has to be held accountable and you sitting there and saying, I already admitted it was my fault. That's not taking responsibility. - No. 508 says Brandon was just aborted late term by the Democrats. - Yes indeed. - 201, do you think they told Joe you better go or will release the Ukrainian phone tapes? - Wait a second, 201. I thought they said those tapes don't exist just because there's an FBI record of them from a credible source who's been providing them information for more than a decade and who they were paying. The fact that he said that they had those phone records, he was indicted shortly thereafter, you may recall. - I think there was definitely a lot of wheeling and dealing over the last three days of trying and I don't think it was between Joe and Democrats. I think it was probably between Jill and the Democrats. But now they're acting like Howie. They're acting like someone who gives their two weeks and just goes, all right guys, I gave my two weeks, I'm gonna get my severance package and just kinda coast. It's like he's still the sitting president of the United States. The fact that he didn't make a video to tell us this was happening and he put it on Twitter, that's banana land. I will have this article up within the next 10 minutes and you can see all of the great cuts from today's Judiciary Committee. - Put up the 10 minutes cut with the, why did she get 12? - I already got it. - Okay, I think that's the number one cut in my opinion. 603, weren't Trump's snipers on a slanted roof? Pretty sure in the video I saw, you know what? Until she said sloped roof, I didn't realize that they weren't a sloped roof, but then I went back and I looked and yes, they were on a sloped roof, but you must remember, it was a sterile sloped roof. That's the important thing, and they have to be on a sterile. - You know what I noticed too, Howie? It doesn't matter how much these people mess up. - The roof has big blue gloves on them, you know. - You know, I have plexiglass, it was a fauci approved roof. But you know what I noticed, even it doesn't matter how, like you might think these people take a slice of humble pie every once in a while. She still was going into, that's who we are. That's what we do at the Secret Service. Like maybe give that a rest for 24 hours, lecturing us on who you are. People got a glimpse of who you are on Saturday and it wasn't great. - Yes, no, thank you, Grace. - Thanks, I. - You may have heard me talk about Raycon's everyday earbuds before and thought, wait, the same audio quality I expect from the bad guys, but at half the price sounds pretty good.
