The Final Knockout Punch for Biden

Besides Joe Biden's bad health, and his awful performance in the debate, and his bad polling numbers, I think the final knockout punch for Biden leaving the race was the incredibly successful Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. That's right, the RNC was the final knockout punch for Mr. Biden.   The convention was so positive, so optimistic, so united, so well-messaged, that leading Democrats took one look at that and decided they needed a new horse.

By the way, there is the fact Kamala Harris now jumping into the 24 race. But she's just Biden 2.0 if you ask me. Anyway, we've got Congressman Byron Donalds on all of that in just a moment or two. But first up, Fox News. Congressional correspondent Aisha Hasney has the latest from the Capitol. A big day Aisha. A very explosive day. Larry, this hearing was brutal. It did not go well for director Cheetos. She told the committee today that this security lapse was the worst thing she's seen since this assassination attempt of President Reagan back in 1981. But she still believes that she is the best person to lead the Secret Service at this time, even though more and more people, Democrats and Republicans are coming out and saying, "She's got to go." I don't want to add to the director's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. But I will be joining the chairman in calling for the resignation of the director. So Larry, we didn't learn very much at all today from director Cheetos because she really dodged practically every question thrown her way. She did tell the committee at this point, no one has been fired over this because the investigative report is still not complete. It's going to take 60 days. Well, that's set off. Both Republicans and Democrats alike. I believe you're horrifying an aptitude in your lack of skilled leadership as a disgrace and go back to Garden Doritos. Mr. Chairman, I yield back. That's her credibility taken ahead today. I believe so. I did it with me. And don't forget, Larry, she was dragged here to Capitol Hill. This was because of a subpoena, and she has now refused to come back tomorrow for a House Homeland Security hearing. So this might have been the only time we see her here. Larry? All right. Thanks very much, Aisha. As the folks, we're going to get back to the Secret Service hearing in just a moment. But first, President Trump's RNC was a knockout punch to the Biden Democrats, and that's the subject of the riff. Besides Joe Biden's bad health and his awful performance in the debate and his bad polling numbers, I think the final knockout punch for Biden leaving the race was the incredibly successful Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. That's right, the RNC was the final knockout punch for Mr. Biden. The convention was so positive, so optimistic, so united, so well-inspirationally messaged that leading Democrats took one look at it and decided they needed a new horse. Now, I'm assuming that horse is VP Kamala Harris, but that's not my main point here. Two days after Donald Trump's near fatal assassination attempt, saved by the grace of God, he appeared on the convention floor rallying the troops once again, and he bravely showed up each night to cheer on convention speakers, and the speakers themselves were fantastic. Many of whom were not lawmakers or politicians, but ordinary folks, talking about their curbside difficulties on the ground, chronically how difficult life has been during Biden's years. Then came JD Vance, with his up from poverty speech. The ex-marine, the Yale lawyer, devoted exactly the working folks coalition that Donald Trump has put together in recent years, and then came Trump's magnificent speech. The first half hour was an incredibly heart-rending narrative of the assassination attempt and his providential escape from it. Nothing like that has ever been told at a convention, breathtaking, and he said it calmly, but he had energy and he was alert, in other words, he was definitely okay. Then came the rest of the speech, including his usual riffing for some entertainment, and then, of course, his promise to close the border, stop the crime wave, and the far left woke cancel culture, stop the assault on middle class values, move America back to its historic meritocracy, drill baby drill, deregulate the economy. It was a growthier speech, it was a prosperity speech, it was an opportunity speech. Here's a brief line, take a listen. We're going to reduce your taxes still further. We gave you the biggest one, as I said. We're going to give you more, and it's going to lead to tremendous growth. We want growth in our country. There you go, and by the way, on Saturday, at the rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he kept up the growthier Trump be. Take a listen. And I will cut taxes even further than we did before, and that includes no tax on tips. We gave you already the largest tax cut in the history of our country, larger than the Reagan cuts, but now we will give you an additional tax cut, a number of tax cuts that will make it. We took in more money after the tax cuts that we did prior. We're going to slash regulation. We're going to bring down energy prices very rapidly. All right, in Grand Rapids, Mr. Trump also included this remarkable and truthful line. Take a listen to this. As you're seeing, the Democrat party is not the party of democracy. They're really the enemies of democracy. And they keep saying, "He's a threat to democracy." I'm saying, "What the hell did I do for democracy?" Last week, I took a bullet for democracy. Wow. Last week, I took a bullet for democracy. How about that one? And then, concluding his convention speech, on an optimistic unity note, Mr. Trump said this. You've been told to lower your expectations and to accept less for your families. I am here tonight with the opposite message. Your expectations are not big enough. It is time to start expecting and demanding the best leadership in the world, leadership that is bold, dynamic, relentless, and fearless. We can do that. We are Americans. Ambition is our heritage. Greatness is our birthright. We will unite. We are going to come together. And success will bring us. All right. The Milwaukee Convention was safe, secure, united, inspirational, and growthier. It was beautifully produced. And I don't believe the Democratic party will be able to conjure up anything even remotely, like what happened at the RNC. And I do believe that convention will prove to be the final knockout punch for Joe Biden and the entire Democratic party. Just think about that. All right. That's my riff. Now, we're going to put the convention aside and move back to today's Secret Service assassination hearing. Joining us now is Florida Congressman Byron Donalds, who was in the hearing of the House Oversight Committee. Byron, as always, sir, welcome back to the show. We want to just play to some of the important things you were talking about timeline today. Here's some of what you had to say. At what time was Secret Service aware of the active threat against President Trump? Director? What time? In the five days prior, when the security advance team did their work, did they identify the rooftop as a potential threat? Again, I'm pulling those reports and that information... It's been nine days, Madam Director. Did they notice a rooftop 150 yards away? That was a potential threat? Yes or no? I am certain that the rooftop was noticed. Wow. Boy, I'll tell you. Byron, just give us your take. I want to talk to you about timeline in just a minute. But give us your take from this hearing today. It was a disaster. It was a disaster for the Secret Service because I know a lot of those ages have got a chance to meet them over the last couple of years. They are great men and women that not only serve President Trump, but they serve every American president and they do it with every fiber of their being. But their director let them down in front of the entire world. That hearing was an absolute debacle. And look, Larry, I get it. There are some specific things that she will not want to talk to or talk about in an open setting because it deals directly with how the Secret Service operates. I respect that. But to show up with no answers, to stone wall, to obfuscate, to not even give any member of Congress a straight answer on anything, half the time she referred to the FBI in their investigation. But she doesn't run the FBI. She runs the Secret Service. And so she should have a full understanding of everything that occurred and be able to say some of it, obviously not all of it, but relate some of that to the members of Congress, any American people that did not happen today. It was an abject disaster. And if somebody can find Joe Biden, he needs to fire her immediately. Yeah. You know, you raised the issue as we played in the tape of some of the timing issues. I mean, I will never understand this. Several hours before the shooting, a rangefinder was picked up. That's one thing. At quarter to six, 545, local police identified the individual and called it in on a report that the individual was scoping out the roof of the building. That's 545. At 551, the Secret Service spots the assassin baron. At 553, the individual was identified by the Secret Service as a threat. At six o'clock, an officer reports on the Open Security channel that he's spotted the individual in question and topped the building. At 602, despite what's clearly obviously a potential threat, the Secret Service has Trump go on the stage. In other words, there's clear timeline issues. It's much more detailed than what I've given you. Senator Johnson has multi-pages here. I'm just picking out some of the things. But from the moment they found out about this rangefinder, which should have been for tip number one, and then all these other things, it's incredible to me that they let him on. I mean, it is a dereliction of duty. And it's a dereliction of duty, unfortunately, of the people of the Secret Service agents on the ground. That's another. I mean, this cheetah woman, wherever she was, she wasn't there on the ground. Agents were, how in the world could they have missed this and let the former president go up and put his life on the line for an assassins bullet? Well, this is my point, Larry, and thank you for laying out for everybody. The moment by moment pieces of information we already have. There obviously were agents on the ground. Somebody dropped the ball. There was communications that did not get to the Secret Service and probably did not even get to the core security detail around President Trump. So my questions were pretty clear. Walk me through the chain of command or the chain of communication from when people started identifying the shooter as somebody has a potential threat up until the time the first shot rang out. She could not do that. At a minimum, you've run organizations, Larry, you know how this works. At a minimum, you got to find the person who dropped the ball. While you do your background work, maybe that person goes on administrative leave without pay or whatever the case might be, but there has to be information given to the public that yes, we found the issue. This is a tragedy, but this is not what our agency is. This is not what our agency is about. And the people responsible are being held accountable. Just giving that would have been good information today. We got none of that from Director Cheeto. And that's why the calls on Capitol Hill for her to be fired or to resign are growing by the minute. Yeah, by partisan calls, I might add. The other part, Congressman, I want to just ask you this. I personally don't believe she should be in charge of this investigation. I think it should be taken out of her hands. With respect to the FBI piece of the investigation, I'm going to leave that to another day, but I don't think, I mean, she says to you and many of the other House members, both Democrats and Republican House members in this hearing that she's going through the details and looking at the facts. And she is not fit to run this investigation. And I think experts from the outside should be brought in to run this investigation with all kinds of eyewitness interviews and agent interviews and so forth and so on. You see where I'm going here. De facto, she's not going to be around a secret service head. She knows that you know it. A lot of people know it. The reality is we need outside experts. Now, what do you think of that? Is there a process for that, Congressman? I agree with you, Larry. I think first and foremost, I think there really needs to be a bicameral investigative unit from both House and Senate bipartisan because every member on Capitol Hill needs to get to the bottom of this. I think that's step number one. I think step two, I agree with you. Secret Service is still going to do their internal review, but it simply cannot be heard. This is where the White House has got to finally step up and do the job of holding somebody accountable. Because if there is one modus operandi of the Biden Harris administration is that crises after crises happens to the United States and nobody is held accountable by this administration. Whether it's Joe Biden or Kamala Harris, they don't hold anybody accountable. So what that breeds is an environment of ineptitude, which is why Donald Trump needs to be the next president of the United States, but I digress. But we need to have House and Senate members investigate this along with Secret Service, along with FBI. That work can be done because at the end of the day, it's about every living current and former president. It is about their families and it is about our constitutional republic. They must be protected. It's got to be airtight. We have great agents on the ground who do tremendous work on behalf of the people that they protect and secure every single day. But the political leadership has got to either do its job or get the hell out of the way. And it's that simple. Yeah, I'm Biden. Of course, never fires anybody, no matter how inept they may be. Speaking of Joe Biden and speaking of the presidential race, there's a rumor circulating. You may have heard about it that Mr. Biden is stepping down as the Democratic candidate. And I guess Kamala Harris, his vice president, is the new, she's the new leading front runner. You have a thought on that one for us? My thought is, it doesn't matter if it's Joe Biden or Kamala Harris. It looks like it's going to be Kamala Harris right now, the way the Democrats are beginning to circle the wagons. But I would just remind the American people, Kamala Harris, as the borders are, she did nothing to secure our southern border. She talked about how she hasn't been to France either or to Paris either. It was so utterly ridiculous. She was there when Joe Biden unleashed a massive inflation crippling every American family from coast to coast. She sat right there, watched that decision happen. She was sitting right there. Well, we've lost Afghanistan and 13 members of our armed services died, lost their lives unnecessarily because of terrible leadership. She's been there with Joe Biden every step of the way. If you remember, Joe Biden said when they came into office that they were a partnership working hand in hand. So his failures of America are her failures of America. We need new leadership. That man is Donald J. Trump and it's Senator J.D. Vance is the next vice president of the United States. All right. Well said. Congressman Byron Donald, thank you ever so much. We appreciate it as always, sir. All right, folks. Coming up, President Trump's RNC growthy, positive, hopeful, academics even hope to match all that. We will ask Senator Marshall Blackburn, who was one of the key speakers and platform chairs. And remember, you can catch Cuddlow Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. every day right here on Fox Business. And for some reason, you can't get us a tour, please. Text your favorite nine-year-old, and she will show you how to DBR the show. And you will never miss a single thing. I'm Cuddlow. We'll be right back. [MUSIC PLAYING] I'm Cuddlow, and I'm a co-host of Outnumbered. The concept of free elections and the American democracy in its uniqueness, that's what my family immigrated here for. They always and never forgot for one second the freedoms and the liberties afforded to them here because of those that made the ultimate sacrifice. [MUSIC PLAYING] Nestled among the majestic Rocky Mountains in Colorado is a true natural wonder that gives its visitors a breathtaking escape. [MUSIC PLAYING] Spanning the continental divide and capturing the essence of the rugged American West is a national park with timeless allure. It's one of the highest in the nation and encompasses soaring peaks, glistening alpine lakes, meadows, and over 300 miles of hiking trails. They call it the land of extremes, and we are here to discover it all. Welcome to Rocky Mountain National Park. [MUSIC PLAYING] In 1915, President Woodrow Wilson signed the Rocky Mountain National Park Act, making it America's ninth national park. This natural sanctuary spans a staggering 415 square miles. Over four and a half million visitors come to experience this captivating landscape every year. [MUSIC PLAYING] We are driving on Trail Ridge Road, which is the highest continuously paved road in the entire United States. My knuckles are white because if you look out this way, I'm not going to take my eyes off the road, but it is just a sheer draw-bock. It's pretty freaky being this high. [MUSIC PLAYING] Trail Ridge Road spans 48 miles and connects the east and west sides of the park. As it winds up the mountain and above the treeline, visitors experience thrilling Colorado views. [MUSIC PLAYING] If you go back to the years between 1920 and 1932, that is when things get wild because there was an old fall river road and it was the only motor access throughout the national park. But it was full of hairpin turns, narrow lanes, steep inclines, so we're pretty lucky to be able to do this today, but this still feels like kind of a dangerous drive, if you ask me. [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] I just wanted to pull over for a second to show you how high up we are. So when you look around, you get these panoramic views and just an elite insight to the natural beauty this park has to offer. [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] Fox airs all over the world, including in Peru. I'm telephonica. Keep it here. [MUSIC PLAYING] Nobody. The consumer is strong, the balance sheets are strong. It brings you America's business news. There's so much going on. And what it means for you. We want to get some breaking news to you right now, Fox Business Alert. Like Fox Business, keeping you ahead of the curve. All the insiders selling by some of the richest people on Earth. With insight into the impact of US and global markets. That's where the recipe for inflation comes. From the people you can trust. That's absent, Bob. Fox Business, America's Business Network. [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] All right, joining us now, Tennessee Senator Marshall Blackburn. I'm going to talk about the Republican Convention. Today's awful Secret Service hearings and maybe a little bit about Kamala Harris, Senator Blackburn. Welcome, ma'am, as always. I just want to quickly play a couple last lines from President Trump's speech Thursday night in Milwaukee. Just take a listen for one moment, please. We are Americans. Ambition is our heritage. Greatness is our birthright. We will unite. We are going to come together. And success will bring us together. There you go. Success will bring us together. We will unite. It was a growthy speech. The whole convention was fabulous. I know you were one of the chairs of the Platform Committee, which itself was terrific. It had everything in it. I mean, my thought here, ma'am, is if not, tell me no. But all the things that have happened to President Biden. I think this Republican convention in Milwaukee was the final knockout punch. OK? I know he was teetering for a variety of reasons. I think the Democrats around him took a look at that convention and the messaging and what President Trump said and said, "Oh, my God, we got to try a different horse." Not that that's going to succeed, but that's what I think. That's how good I thought that convention was. I agree with you. It was a great convention. I was so pleased to be a part of it. And Larry, it was a growth speech. It was a visionary speech from President Trump. Indeed, we should say GOP stands for Great Opportunity Party because President Trump made it very clear that he wants everyone to dream big dreams. And let's preserve that American dream for everyone. Now, what you see the Democrats are doing is they know that they are running at a deficit, so they disenfranchised 14 and a half million Democrat primary voters. They dump Joe Biden because they know he cannot win. Now, Kamala Harris is about as unpopular as Joe Biden, and they may decide they're going to dump her by the time they get to the convention. Kamala was the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate. She is for defunding the police. She is for fewer officers on the street, counseling for drug dealers. She is for 10 million illegal aliens that she's led in the country. Since she was the border czar, she is for letting them vote. She's for letting prisoners vote. The list goes on and on. And we know that that is not what the American people are wanting. We know that the American people have heard our message. They are listening. They are paying attention. Donald Trump is going to win in November. You know, I like that word visionary, man. I should have put that in my riff. Visionary. I had a lot of adjectives, but that's a very good one. Or adverb or whatever it is, but you nailed it. I'm this Kamala Harris thing. I mean, it's Joe Biden 2.0. If anything, it's worse. If there's any elbow room to the left of Biden in the progressives that's been running the country, she's there. I mean, what good is that? What is that going to do that? I don't understand it. She terms herself a progressive. And we know that the American people are tired of DEI. They're tired of ESG. They are tired of being broke. They are tired of seeing drugs in their communities. They are tired of gangs and crime and human trafficking and sex trafficking. They're fed up with the fact that our allies do not know that they're our ally and our enemies do not fear us. And they're saying something needs to be done to put this country back on track. And they're looking to Republicans to do that. I think it's why if we work really hard, we will take the Senate. We will pick up seats in the House and we'll send President Trump back to the White House. Last one, Senator Blackburn, I mentioned this to Congressman Byron Donalds. I just don't think that the Secret Service should be in charge of this investigation. That's just me. I don't think so. I don't think they'd... Well, you go ahead. I want you to speak to it because I know you've been hot on the trail. Yes, I am. And Kimberly Cheetles should be fired. She should have been fired Saturday night. It is unconscionable that a lead agent of the lead agency after an assassination attempt could not go out and hold a press conference. And the fact that they allowed President Trump on that stage, this investigation needs to be an independent counsel. Congress needs to take its action. The Department of Homeland Security, the DOJ, and the Secret Service does not need to be leading the investigation. They need to be coming forward with answers as to how in the world this could have happened. They have one job. It is to protect that protectee and you have Kimberly Cheetles who does not understand the seriousness of her job. The rank and file Secret Service, get it. She does not. This is not like missing your sales figures or not hitting your quota numbers or having a revenue shortfall. When you screw up, people die, and that is what happened when President Trump was shot on Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania. Well, to use his line, it was by the grace of God that he dodged that bullet. It was providential. You got it. And you know what, Senator, I'll tell you one last thing we got to get out, but the grace of God and providential and spiritual thinking was very much a part of that convention. And I think Americans yearn. Yes, it was like a big, yes, it was like a big tent revival. Yes, yes. And, you know, a political rally all week long. I absolutely loved it. I thought it was the best convention we have ever had. Best one I've ever covered. I can tell you that. We enjoyed it very much. Senator Marshall Blackburn, thank you, ma'am. As always, we appreciate it. You got it. One up here on Kudlow, open borders, defunding the police, no more fracking, no more growth, no more tax cuts, no more anything. That's Kamala Bidens to Kamala's Biden. I don't know what that is. Kamala's Biden 2.0 agenda. I don't know. That's quite a phrase. Anyway, we'll talk about all that with Vivek Ramaswamy. Marcia Blackburn started us off. I mean, it's Biden 2.0. All right, maybe to the left of Biden 2.0. I'm Kudlow 1.0. I'm the original. We'll be right back. So iconic, in fact, that they even appear on the state's license plate. And now one atmospheric scientist here on Oahu has helped create an app. That'll give you a good indication of where one of these rainbows might appear. It all started with an incredible sight from high up in the sky. It makes for just an unbelievable spectacle to see the full double rainbow. It's from the air in a helicopter. It's quite spectacular. Stephen Businger is a professor and chair of the Atmospheric Sciences Department at the University of Hawaii in Manoa. And after going rainbow chasing with a colleague in a helicopter, he was inspired to create an app for everyone looking to seek out more rainbows. The pilot was looking at his radar in order to see where to fly to. And that was just quite a fun spark because then we could envision putting an app together. So the two created the rainbow chase app that allows you to orient the viewer to the right place and looking in the right direction and letting them know whether or not a rainbow is even possible. It's all based on the science behind how rainbows are formed. Rainbows are formed when you have sunlight in one part of the sky coming down into a shower in another part of the sky. The light is refracted when it hits the water and creates a rainbow. It's a phenomenon best seen when the sun is lower in the sky by their earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon. Wahoo is absolutely a rainbow capital of the world, Hawaii in general is. The mountain's terrain increases rainfall and there are often clear skies here following rainstorms, perfect territory for people to open up the app and look for a rainbow themselves. My hope is that it brings a bit of sunshine into their lives in a special way that lifts their spirits. On a Wahoo, Max Gordon, Fox Weather. We'll cross on the crest here. This isn't your normal sort of hike. For most modern humans, swamp is something disgusting to be avoided. But for land restoration is Kevin Swift waiting through pools of murky water sounds just fine because here he sees something beautiful. To me, yeah, I mean, I have this warped perception. I want everything to be slow and wiggly and complicated and a huge mess. To Kevin, this mess is a wealth of biodiversity. Cat tails, fish, mosquitoes, red-winged blackbirds. Complexity is beauty. Simplicity in an ecosystem, not as much. But the answer to how this marshland got here? Well, that is actually pretty simple. Beavers. This land was bone dry just about seven years ago. There's just a little creek running through it. But then conservationists got in touch with the rancher who grazes their cattle on this land. And they agreed to stop shooting the beaver who live here. Ever since then, the beaver populations rebounded and you can just see the change in the landscape. Stop shooting the beavers. They move in, start mowing down the willows, building the dams, pushing the canal sideways, doing what they do. These 60-odd acres north of Sacramento are owned by the nonprofit Placer Land Trust. The land here is still used for cattle grazing, but not the cattle only roam here for part of the year, which is gentler on the land and has allowed the beavers to do their work. As that's going on, we were in their building these things called beaver dam analogs that just basically mimic what beavers would do in order to speed things up a little bit. The result has been a landscape more resilient to drought, fire, and floods. When there's too much rain, the beaver dams slow down the flood waters and prevent erosion. The marshland dacks is a natural fire break and the dams allow for year-round water here. Extra important in drought-stricken California. When you can see that something that's been thirsty for a long time is going to get a drink. That's as good as it gets. A simple feeling sparked by an elaborate ecosystem. Definitely complexity wins as this conservationist chews on what the beavers will do next. Think of the difference that we'll see here in two more years. In Placer County, California, Max Gordon, Fox Weather. The bottom line with digging and duffey on Fox Business. We view the world the same way. I'm sure we'll have some disagreements. But you don't want to get her mad. No, you don't. The bottom line with digging and duffey on Fox Business, invested in you. Alright, so what's next for the Democrats? They're looking for a horse to ride on. I don't know, tough, very tough assignment. Fox News, senior White House correspondent Peter Ducey is going to tell us exactly what's going to happen. Peter, what's cooking? Larry, President Biden's doctor is telling us this afternoon that his COVID symptoms have almost completely resolved. And yet he remains in Rohoboth Beach away from cameras and away from microphones of any type. So a day after this big announcement, it is already Vice President Harris here leading official events. Joe Biden's legacy of accomplishment over the past three years is unmatched in modern history. In one term, he has already, yes, you may clap. Our President Joe Biden fights for the American people, and we are deeply, deeply grateful for his service to our nation. Nancy Pelosi, officially endorsing Harris for President Hakeem Jeffries. Not going to do that yet, but he and the rest of the party, brass, are taking note of the $81 million in grassroots donations that came in in the 24 hours after Biden dropped. Vice President Kamala Harris has excited the community. She's excited the House Democratic caucus, and she's exciting the country. Even though the Democratic nominee does not live in Delaware at the moment, that is where campaign headquarters is. And so the Vice President is going to pop up at the campaign HQ near President Biden's home for a meet and greet with staffers whose job changed quite a bit yesterday. Larry, Peter, is she going to get the nod? Is Kamala going to be the horse? It seems like it is. If for no other reason at this point, nobody has come forward to say they are trying to whip delegates to challenge her at the virtual roll call. Reuters just pushed an item that they are trying -- the Harris people are trying to have her sewn up with delegate support by Wednesday night. So they don't want a convention fight. Well, got it. Peter Ducey, the best of the best. Thank you so much for joining us now, Vivek. We're on the swami former presidential candidate Trump surrogate Vivek. I don't know. You know, if the Democrats are looking for a winning horse, I don't know how they're going to find one. Actually, the Democrats are looking for a unicorn, but there is no such thing as a Democratic unicorn. Vivek, you know that. The only unicorn in the race is Donald J. Trump. Whoops. Anyway, what do you think about this? So, look, I think the Democrats have gone to great lengths to try to defeat Donald Trump. That's why I still remain skeptical, Larry, that it's automatically going to be Kamala Harris. The reality is the longer this goes, in some ways it's actually better for them, because whoever their new candidate is, they hope November comes around. While they're still in the honeymoon phase with that new candidate. The bottom line for us is it doesn't matter who they put up. We're not running against a candidate here. We are running against a machine. And once we see it that way, we realize our objective is to go in and dismantle that machine. In the administrative state, in the managerial class, that's what Donald Trump is going to do. And the more we focus on our own agenda, irrespective of the shenanigans and suffering of the other side, the stronger we're going to be, regardless of who they put up. So, that's my view. Now, you know, for all those reasons, which are good reasons, and you know, you've been talking to us about this for quite a while, I don't think the Secret Service should investigate the Secret Service. Okay, I just don't. They are not qualified. This woman's got to go. Everybody knows that. Frankly, her top lieutenants, anybody associated with what happened in Butler, Pennsylvania, should go, they need outside experts. I mean, bring in this kin. They are not going to inform America about what happened and how it should be fixed. I just don't buy it, Vivek. What do you think? I think, yes, that's absolutely spot on. But it goes to a deeper issue with our bureaucracy in the federal government, Larry. There is no accountability period across the three letter agencies, not just the Secret Service. The people we elect to run the government are not the ones running the government. They are unelected bureaucrats, setting policy across the board. You see a disaster or near disaster like this one, it's a wake-up call. But this is ubiquitous in the federal government. Anybody who's been in Washington, D.C. knows that's really where power is exercised with zero accountability to show for it. So, should there be outside investigations from outside of an agency when something goes wrong with anyone? Of course. But the deeper issue, Larry, is we need to get in there and shut down much of that bureaucracy. That hasn't happened in a generation. I think we have a once in a generation opportunity to do it, not only by electing Donald Trump, but by doing it against the backdrop of a Supreme Court that also agrees that much of this bureaucracy is downright unconstitutional. And I think if there's one thing that saves this country for the next two centuries, it will be to mostly shut down that fourth branch of government and restore a government that's actually accountable to the people rather than the other way around. Yeah, a hundred percent. You're totally on message. Vivek Ramaswamy, a little short today. But thank you, my friend. I appreciate it very, very much. Great speech at the convention. We appreciated that. All right, folks, joining us now comments some more on the Democrat search for unicorn, ha, ha, ha, ha. Molly Hemingway, editor-in-chief of the Federalist and Fox News contributor, Ben Domenich, Domenich. I'm going to get it. Domenich there, editor-at-large at the spectator and Fox News contributor. Kids, I just want you to hear one more. This is toward the back end of Mr. Trump's speech at the convention. I was going to throw the convention. Do you have the -- we have the convention one? I want to play it one more time because it's so important and so uplifting and visionary to use Marshall Blackburn's. Here, take a listen, please. As you're seeing, the Democrat Party is not the party of democracy. They're really the enemies of democracy. And they keep saying, "He's a threat to democracy." I'm saying, "What the hell did I do for democracy?" Last week, I took a bullet for democracy. Yes, there you go. Isn't that something? Last week, I took a bullet for democracy. Molly Hemingway, what do you think about that line? That is some line kind of cuts through the fog, if you ask me. Yeah, it's just amazing. The Democrats have been running this entire campaign claiming that Republicans are a threat to democracy. And you have, in the Trump candidacy in nomination now, the people really choosing this person over and against clearly what the entire regime wants. It's a beautiful picture of what happens when the people get to pick their own person. On the other hand, you have, in the Democrat Party, they did choose their nominee. It was Joe Biden, and then very powerful interests, the media and other top Democrats, knew that he was unlikely to win. So they just summarily replaced him with someone else. And it's very anti-democratic and very weird, but it is what we are living through right now. Ben, you know, that's not exactly democracy. Molly's got an important point. They may keep dumping other people. Kamala, so they put Kamala up, you do polling in the next couple of days. Your polling's been terrible. I don't know why it's going to improve any, particularly in the swing states, your polling. They keep looking for a Democratic unicorn. There is no such thing as a Democratic, Democratic uniform. Ben, what do you think? Well, I think, Larry, I'm going to slightly disagree with you only because I think that the media is going to do such a production job of trying to turn Kamala Harris into something that she's not. So over the course of the coming weeks in the run up to this Democratic convention in Chicago, they're going to be fully invested in that. She's already got the Hollywood dollars coming her way. She's already got the backing of the Soros machine. She's already got the backing of Nancy Pelosi. And I think with that consolidation, she goes from being a hypothetical to being someone that Democrats are going to try to unite around. But also, I think they're going to essentially be trying to guard against her having any slip-ups whatsoever. They're going to try to spin this into something that she's really not. They're going to try to turn her into that unicorn. And so I think it's important for the American people to see Kamala Harris for who she is. Someone who really has never won over voters and is really only in the occupying the position that she is right now because of the Democratic Party elite as opposed to anybody actually picking her from the ground up. She was a terrible candidate in the past in California. She was a terrible candidate when she ran for president. And the truth is that she would not be in this position without those people in power choosing her over anybody else in this field, this potential field who could potentially be a better candidate. Well, that's the thing, Molly. I mean, unicorns are only in your fantasies. I mean, it's a fantasy land thing. It's not a real thing. They tried to turn the media that Ben is so fond of didn't really do that well defending Joe Biden. If you think about it, really, I mean, they kind of went there and then the debate ended all that. And as I said earlier in the show, I think the Republican convention knocked Biden out completely. I think it knocked out the Democrats completely. They can't pursue anything like that. I mean, Molly, would you advocate that the Republicans and Mr. Trump change his strategy all of a sudden because of Kamala Harris? Or is she, in fact, Joe Biden 2.0? And in fact, she's to the left of 2.0. Yeah, there's something of a gift here for the Republicans in that Kamala Harris is, as Ben notes, someone who's even less popular than Joe Biden is or has been so unpopular. The media will engage in propaganda unlike anything we have seen until this moment to get her across the finish line. But it will be difficult because she actually does not present in any way as moderate because of her rhetoric and her track record. You know, a big argument was that Biden was kind of moderate and kind of competent, and she does not, she's not moderate at no point has she exuded competence on the trail. So the, and she's not in any way running from the Biden-Harris agenda. And so that means that the campaign can continue, but Republicans should be aware that Democrats win election by moving ballots into the ballot boxes, not by having a good candidate or a good message. And so they should not in any way rest on their laurels just because they have yet another bad candidate to run it. Well, that's the Molly Hemingway message, and you are correct. And I think they're on it. This year, I think they're finally on it with Elon Musk and his pals helping to fund it. Even Zuckerberg's called Trump bad-ass at the convention, so that's all interesting. Molly Hemingway, thank you, Ben Domenich. Thank you very much. Folks, coming up, growthier wins. Growthier, okay? No, you don't. The bottom line with Degan and Duffy on Fox Business. Woody Guthrie wrote, "Roll on Columbia to celebrate the Great Columbia River." But as it twisted its way through the Pacific Northwest, the Columbia needed little help to get the water where we needed it most. The Grand Coulee Dam used more concrete than any construction project in history. But it still wasn't enough. A decision had to be made. Do we go with a lower dam or a high dam? A 290-foot dam would never generate enough electricity to pay for itself. Chief engineer Frank Banks realized he needed to build the dam much higher. A high dam would create more electricity, which would mean more revenue. But more than that, a high dam would produce enough power to irrigate the high desert. In a higher dam, the water falls further, spinning the turbines faster. This would create enough power to sell and to pump up into the Grand Coulee. From there, it could flow throughout the region. That was Rufus Wood's real dream. But President Roosevelt only agreed to pay for a 290-foot dam. So once again, the newspaper publisher rolled up his sleeves. When Achie Daily World covered the construction, sometimes almost on a daily basis. The public wanted to know, "Well, how are they doing? How's it moving?" And so he would take that and put it into words and publish it so people could read it and understand. Yes, we have to keep the momentum going with the tax money. His campaign paid off. Congress agreed to pony up for a 550-foot dam. Wood's got the funding for banks to finish the job right. This may seem like a bad day for these big horn sheep, but they're going to a new home that is not only safe from predators, but a place where they'll be able to help prop up a big horn population in Utah. So we've got a, it's between 1,000 and 2,000 acre ranch with a high fence around the whole thing. So we're going to turn them loose there. See how they do? Hopefully we can get up to around 150 sheep in their total before we start moving. Derek Huel is a wildlife biologist with a Utah Division of Wildlife. He's among the dozens of people taking part in the operation. This year, 30 big horn sheep, 4 rams, 26 usan lambs, are being processed for relocation. The operation begins with a capture using a helicopter and a net die. They'll find location, they'll net gun them, and their mother jumps out and he cobbles them, secures them in the bag. The chopper then brings them back for processing, where staff and volunteers examine the animals, take blood and other samples, and look at their overall health. Utah will take those animals, a clean source herd, put them in an unhunted population, and use those animals as sources for translocations within Utah. The big horn sheep at the valley of fire are the choice sheep because they appear to be free of a respiratory issue that plays some of the other populations in southern Nevada. A disease that is easily spread from contact with infected sheep. The operation is a win-win for both Utah and Nevada, according to war. Benefits us to sort of reduce that population in a natural way. And it benefits Utah for them to have a good clean source herd of healthy animals. The captured big horn sheep will be driven to Utah and will be released at the enclosed sky rider wilderness ranch once they get a clean bill of health which takes about 24 hours. This is the first time this operation is taking place, but it's not the last. Utah wants more big horn sheep and Nevada is planning to come in. I think our goal is to do this at least two more years so we can get 30 next year and 30 the following year because our goal is won. Lesk Rifadin, Fox 5 News, local Las Vegas. Alright, growth here always wins. Joining us now, growth here, Art Laffer, former Reagan economist, Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient and author of his important book, Taxes Have Consequences. Arthur, growth here always wins. Okay, that's my take. Particularly the tax cutter wins. The tax hiker loses. But the thing is, Trump's convention speech was super growth. He had a whole section on it. I was yelling from the side of the whole growth here and then he went and repeated the whole thing in Grand Rapids, Michigan. So what do you make of it, Art? It's on the right side. He's the unicorn. Trump is the growthier unicorn. Well, I would almost put him as a dumbo because dumbo had two growthy ears. No, that's terrible. He was terrific. He did a great job. He has growth here all the way across, especially when it comes to Kamala Harris. She's even worse than Biden on energy. She's even worse than Biden on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. She's even worse than Biden on health care transparency. And she's worse than Biden on trade. I mean, she wants to really restrict trade. She didn't even vote for the Trump trade bill.
