(upbeat music) - That's been said, Pochettino has been set. - It was literally on the other side. - Adelaide, Adelaide, that was right. - Yeah, that's right. - Well, let's start from there. (laughing) - That's a good thing there. - Hello and welcome to the football humans. We are very sorry. We have not been around. We didn't do any Euros chat. We didn't do none of that because we had a summer break. And it wasn't enforced. We just never got around to doing a podcast. Apologies, we're back. We're going to talk about the Euros on this one. Then we're going to put it to bed. Next week, we'll be back to do our predictions for the coming season, which is one of the best episodes because we make outlandish predictions that never come true, or we're just miles off. But we love it, it's great. - Next week, you sure next week, we need to give it a couple of weeks, right? - In a couple of weeks, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. 'Cause isn't it four weeks still till the season starts, so maybe give it a bit. (laughing) - There's got to be loads of transverse to happen before we get to know all that sauce. - I mean, the Scottish season starts in the third August. So that's dangerous in the third August. So that's the week on Saturday. - I know. - Why is it so early? - I don't know. Because the European draw, we got the European draw in the fifth of August. So basically, we start the season then, you're looking to draw after that, so it's, you know, no matter as fast as it is. - That's probably it. - 12, 12, 13th of kick off from the Saturday afternoon. - Lovely. You're getting season ticket again. - I did, then I actually got upgraded, so I could be closer to my dad. So I'm 12 seats away from them now, but it's the most expensive area. So there's 500 odd quests. - That's not bad, though. - I know. Well, I know. - Yeah, I mean, it's still a lot. - It's still a lot. - It's like Premier League terms and stuff. There's not a lot. - It's Premier League terms, but I mean, it's like, it's still fine. - Is it like, is it a better view? - So it's the, remember the stand, we've visited, the main stand is the opposite. So it's the main, a right in the centre. So it's like right in the halfway line. And so, yeah, I am, I am. But it's just been, it's been a really, really busy time at the moment, like, I won't bore you it, but like, everything's going to work and stuff. But then I was thinking, I started before long as I can't wait, going to the game 12th of kick off. And then I was thinking, I'll go for a few pints after, but then my sister's having a barbecue. So it's like, so we're like, well, instead of with the pints, we'll go with the barbecue. Adam's in front of me tonight. Our friend from London's up. So I can't drink because I've got babies sitting there. (laughing) Honestly, this won't go because you wouldn't put this, but then every single time this friend gets in touch twice a year, it's always a fucking day, where it is muddy. (laughing) Oh, you're going to have tarts and then go to make for someone's wedding? Oh, no, no, no. He's got in touch again. So I knew he'd fucking do that. (laughing) So annoying. So annoying. (laughing) Oh well. Been busy then, have you? Yeah, it was busy at work and stuff like, "Well, I'll buy next door." So it was all the recruitment opening that. So we've had Leanne and Michael Peck and all that up and stuff like, it's a pippa in the van. It's pippa's up a week, basically, in this whole van. How is it a bar that a Fiat owns? Well, it's basically, it's technically in the building. But it's like, when they sold it 40 years ago, they kind of blocked it off. And now it's like, been smashed through and now it's still part of the building. But then, but then it was going busy anyway. But then our manager, the manager's now off with like, she's been dying with a bell cancer. So she's off now. Yeah. And so it's like, a team of like three of us, like we're all mucking in really, which is fine. But it's just like, it's just lots of corona. But it's fine, it's fine. It's the worst thing's been, well for me anyway, the world, but yeah. We need to sell out, you know, I have it coming up there. I know, I know, I'm just gonna say that. I was hoping to do like yearly. But it's like, when we used can't blast it. Is that last or the last summer? Oh, no. Was it? - It was March, it was. - For his birthday, wasn't it March? - March. - But then... - Yes. It was a national break. It was a national break, was it? - Yeah. - But then we went away, didn't we? - Very cock off. Yes. Oh, so was it two years a week ago up then? - Yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Shut up. - A year and a half. Yeah, a year and a half. - Mm. - Hm. - Yeah. - Yeah, yeah. - March 20, March 20, 23. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah, and we went to Poland to win. March 24. - 24. - February 24th. - February 24th. - Is that just me? Is anyone like that these days? I cannot. My beats are terrible. I don't know what... - Someone asked me how old I was the other day. I went 42, 41. - No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. - 20? I'm between 20 and 40. - Yeah. (laughing) - That's all you need to know. - Yeah. (laughing) - Yeah, it's terrible, mate. - Yeah, it's awful, isn't it? - Yeah. - Wait, wait, wait, wait. It's scary how many times are... How many times a week I see? What day is it? - You have to vote? - What day is it? (laughing) - It's terrible. - Anyway. - I've been on that. - Enough about that. - I know exactly what you mean. I can barely know what day is half the time. - I know. - Yeah. - Yeah. - So... - Anyway. - Start with Scotland at the Euros. Mr. John Berry, take us through your Euros. - God. - What in Scotland, mate? How... - I think you thought about that. - How in your room was it? How, like, did you enjoy it? Like, what was your Euro experience? (laughing) - Anyone? - No. - That's great. - I was very frustrated because... Listen, Scotland was shaped for a long time. Like, we call it for about every tournament until night, like, till after night, and it was kind of like, as I was kind of teenager, we didn't call it off, and we went to a terrible time. Now, however, Steve Clark came in, and Steve Clark's a great manager. He's done very, very well. Whenever he's been as a coach or manager, he's very, very elevated. Thomas Scotland around that. No, I don't know. Is that definitely to do with all him? Or is it because, actually, we've not got so many players, just play for Rangers and Celtic, we're about to go, like, decent players in the top end of the Premier League. I don't know. Clark's done a great job. Got us to the 2020 Euros that was playing 21. And was too loyal, then, to certain players. Particularly the goalkeeper in the right back, because they've done well from since they came in, and they kept them there even though they passed their best. Now, we've come to this tournament. Again, it was too loyal to players. So, for me, it was really, really, really frustrating, because he's obviously, he's a good coach, good manager. However, he's always said a really stubborn guy. They can't just go, do you know what? Like, no, no, he's obviously not ruthless enough. Like, like, Alex Ferguson or Mourinho Ego. You've done amazing up to now. But, actually, you know, just dropped a little bit, and I'm going to bring someone else in. And there were a lot of injuries. The right hand said they pitched with certain players, and had to go up, guys lay on. But, yeah, he's too loyal to players, and too stubborn to his formation. I found it so frustrating, because the first game against Germany, I mean, did you guys watch it? They looked so leggy. And a lot of people, lots of teams did through the whole tournament. Nobody looked that fresh, did they? But Scotland looked like the first five minutes. I was like, they looked like they've been playing for, like, 200 minutes. Like, it looks like they're in the fourth extra time, or something. Like, it was, and they went quick enough to the ball. They refused to change formation. Quick enough, first half or half time, well, do you know what? I've got it wrong here. Two up front, four at the back, or whatever you need to do. I can't remember what it was. And then it was the same in the second, in the third game as well. They went on the lap, and then it was like, "Oh, now sit back." Or it was like Scotland is it? Yeah, we're a small nation. But if you look at it on paper, like the players we've got, the players that say, "It's still not going to go." Scotland should go and actually go and beat them. Scotland should go and hammer them. It's like, well, they've got kind of Jacques and Shaquire. But we've got John McGinn, Jimmy McTormany, Tierney, Robertson. We've got decent players as well, at a decent level. So it was just far too cautious. And by attending, they needed to do something. It was far too late. So the last game was lost. Yeah, they tried to win the game against Hungary, and they got caught, and then that was it. I think that game was frustrating to watch, because they sort of tried to play too late in that game. Partially. Partially. Out of the blocks, straight away. They didn't bring Shanklin on. They didn't bring Shanklin on. Both teams had it. It looked like Hungary and Scotland were quite happy to just sit at a nil-nil for ages. And then all of a sudden, they both realised, "Oh, fuck, hang on. "One of us has to do something." One of us has to do something here. But Shanklin scored... There's not been biased. Like, you're going to have to say to anyone else. Shanklin scored, like, since he's been at half, it's 52 goals and 62 appearances or something. And he's done it in Europe as well. He's done it when he played in Belgium. And he's done it in international level. So why are you playing one up front and not playing in Hammon for the last two or two minutes to go? Like, what are you doing? Why are you playing a 4-5-1? Hoping, like, it's if you're being cautious. But it's like, well, again, like, like... Are you still more of a bit rekindling in the hearts back into, like, six, seven years ago? It's like, well, we'll be cautious and get them on the break. It's got to have no pace. It's got to have a zero pace in teams. So, we've got them on the break. What are they going to do? Fuck on. John McGinn, we're going to run a bit. What was John McGinn going to do with the ball? Nothing. And it was so clear for every bit you see. Every fan or every partner or whatever, journalist, everyone's going, "What has he got to change it? "He refuses to change it." And for me, it's just a cycle of offense. It's got to... It should get David Moizen now, like, to just... He's doing defensive well, but he's sad about what he's doing. Shanklin barely got any minutes as well, didn't he, in the whole tournament? I mean, he came on a few times, but... No, no, no, no, no. Not really, no, no. If Linda Dykes was fit, he wouldn't have got on at all. It gives you a hundred holes. Well, Linda Dykes will have started, I think, because the Wii six can't clap, please. All he wants from me is one striker. He has to hold up. The only people who trust this, he's meant to move first. So, Dykes can just kick the... Either knock the ball on or keep the ball and spend it to one of the midfield players. But... Scott on the phone note that, in the first decade, we didn't mean any difference, because the way they were playing and the way they were looking, the fitness level, whatever it was, I'm sure the fit, but they were tired, it was never going to work. It was never going to work. A lot of players looked tired the whole tournament. But, well, we'll get a couple of things. I mean, we all said it during messages and stuff. I mean, it's got to be one of the worst tournaments going, doesn't it? I mean, dreadful. Yeah, it was like a couple of good games, but... Yeah, I mean, we could probably pick them out. Like, four or five games that were actually... It was with smaller teams, it was like Georgia and Albania. These kind of teams, rather than the big teams. Well, Georgia actually put in a good fight. I mean, Neville and Zostria, I remember being particularly decent. Like, a couple of these games. The Korea Turkey was quite interesting. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Georgia was such a breath of fresh air, is it's like they were one team that were attacking. And I know they lost a few games, but, I mean, they went one and no ahead of Spain, you know what I mean. Yeah. Dude, the thing is, just to jump in on that, the Georgia and the Scotland's group qualified, and Scotland beat them twice comfortably. Scotland won Spain's group, beat Spain at hand then. Got beat in Spain 1-0, but Scotland won a lot of tournaments to win. It was quite a vire off-side, and it was never off-side. Anyway, Scotland beat Spain, beat Georgia. But then it comes to the tournament. Spain won it, Georgia won it this year. It's something to fuck off. It's finity strength. Let's move on. When you get to actual tournaments, people become more cautious. I mean, England is very similar, not like it's just frustrating to watch. Oh, Pauline. Pauline. Very, very frustrating to watch. At how he played, you know, you're talking about loyalty, how he played Harry Kane throughout that whole tournament. I have no idea. What was up with him, man? He must have been injured. Must have been. Must have been. His movement was absolutely shocking. Oh, it means we should have still, yeah. It was a great element. His hold-up play was crap as well. It was just really out of source. I know we got to a final, but we were terrible for in that whole tournament. That really was the odd glimmer. Like half a football against the Dutch, maybe. We looked all right. Till they changed, and then we got found out a bit. Yeah, it was just really cool. It was a weird one. Could it easily been out against, like, Slovenia? Easily. Yeah. It was almost like a ball, it was, yeah. What mantle is, like, we all saw that Cole Palmer was probably England's best player in the tournament. And he won the tournament. He brought him on with, like, 20 minutes to go. I know. I know, man. But again, I don't know. In the group game, you kept playing folding out a position on the left and side. You're like, why, why on earth are you doing this? I don't understand. Why are you taking that golden? He must be, you know, what was the point? I think Gordon played 10 minutes of one game, and they opened the team up, didn't they? Like, they got a few chances. And then he got in there looking after that. I know he fell off his bike, so maybe that was to do that. But then, you've got Essay as well. And Essay came on every now and again, but he was playing at, like, a left wing back at times, and Saka was playing as a wing back. And it was three... Well, you took him in two world of players. Like, that's exactly the same situation. It is. It is. And it also sort of, like, makes you think, like, his initial squad selection was not correct. I know me and Raggle spoke about this, but that surely, I mean, Luke Shaw wasn't fit until properly, what, the quarter final? Maybe the semi final. Semi final. Yeah, yeah. Quarter final, he came on, semi final. And then that's the massive gamble when you've got... So you had Trippier at left back the whole time. Doesn't go forward that much, because he's not comfortable going forward on that. Why not bring Chillwell or find someone else? I know. If you've bought Gomez, as you're left back up, I play Gomez, but he never played him up. Exactly. I thought it was bizarre, as well. It's not percents. No, I didn't. It was very frustrating. You've got to... I'm going to put it on the pod. Gareth has done a really good job with England, in terms of... Yeah, oh, yeah. He's brought Unity, he's brought, like, a team spirit, all those kind of things. But I think it's quite clear to see he, as a defender and as a manager, he's very cautious. He's cautious, yeah. Approaches game, like John said earlier, like, he hasn't got that cutthroat kind of, like, you know, winning kind of, I don't know, just the mentality to be like, pain is doing nothing, take him off, like... Yeah, yeah, at all. On or Tony and just... What a thing it can have, a bit of hate or something. Just like you said, all those decisions. He's clearly a great, like, man manager, and he's been brilliant for the squad in general, because they all look like, you know, they all look together and it's, like, you know, proper, given a bit of joy back to them to play football for England. But, tactically, he's just not top tier, is he? He's just not. I think it's a good point with that, as well. I've seen a bit of a clock, because there'll be two other players, but it's like, you see it, like, if Southgate... I think the players would actually run through walls on it, if they would, like, they'd be looking at England and squad. They start a lot of them up, thinking, they start a tournament, like, you can't see past them with you. But if he was, like, Kane's bench, Fordham's bench, Saka's bench, and you're thinking, "Oh, God, this guy is ruthless." And then the players would be like, "Fuckin' hell. This guy's got balls, like, this guy's got balls." But it's very much like, "No, I'm quite a bit placing me." It's like, "Oh, Gareth, come on, man." And the whole way through to a tournament, England were crap, they were, as you say, almost going out into Slovenia. And I was thinking, like, "Oh, I'm glad that it popped out of them." Like, I wasn't going anywhere. It was like, four to one, I was thinking, what's the point? But you're thinking, you're like, "Oh, well, what's the point?" And then, but they're getting there. I'm thinking, they're getting through quarter-final, seven-final. They get to the final, like, "That's 100% as this year. I said to everybody, England are going to 100% win this." Because, like, they're sneaking, whatever it takes, they're sneaking through games. So you're thinking, "Now they've got there," because it's been so drab the whole way through. The final, they're going to come at their shell and go to smash them. But you're thinking, they didn't do it again. But so you're like, "Well, what does it take?" Nobody has turned up the whole tournament. Nobody has turned up. England relied on their substitutions a lot of the time. And the substitute's gotten through of everything, didn't they, really? But when the final, Karl Palmer scores again, and you think, "We had 10-minute good spell there," and then they sat back. And is that from the manager? Is that the players? I know. I know. But it just invited pressure on, and don't get me wrong, Spain are way better. They were the best team in the tournament, so they deserved to win it. But it looked like it was there for England to take. It was like he was saying about Georgia. When Georgia attacked Spain, that's when Spain looked vulnerable. But to allow Spain to have so much of a ball all the time. I mean, we had barely any touches in their box, as we were going, the goal was from out on. It just, yeah, and the substitute's, you know, he took Kane off, didn't he, like, with half an hour to go? But he should have been hauled after him, and if possibly not even started. So like you said, there's certain players that don't, they're always going to be in the team. So if, you know, what's their incentive to play well? 100%. What's Watkins? Watkins, Tony, Gordon, whoever else, thinking, they're going, what the fuck are we doing here? Like, what are we doing here? And even like Jack Lewis said at home, been like, I'm going to be funny me, about the 100 million pound player on that left hand side. Why am I not even close to this? Yeah, exactly. What am I doing? No, he's not in the season, but... At the time, we all thought like our bold moves and like fair play, because Rashford and Grilleish, not great season. So possibly didn't deserve to go. But in hindsight, that was all left hand side. And we didn't really have anyone on the left hand side. Yeah, I don't. Actually, and Madison, you know, not being there to open up, because why bring this out in water if you're never going to play him? I know. What's that exactly? What the fuck? You know, you don't bring people just so they can enjoy the ride and have an experience. So I mean, it's sort of like, if you're not willing to play them, what's the point of bringing them? Exactly. Yeah, it was very, it was very frustrating. Who do we think is going to be the next England manager? That's a lot. Poch. You think Poch is... We'll go non-English and we'll have a foreign manager. Yeah. I mean, I can see him doing it. I really could see him doing it. He's been in this country long enough, but I could see him doing it. I think... What are maybe, as I know? I genuinely think they're going to put Lee Carsley in. Well, he's going to enter him, but he's going to enter him. No, but that's why I thought with Gareth Southgate, he was entering, after... But they're going to make that same mistake again. The only thing you might go right there, right, is because... You've got hardly fun at the night, haven't you? You've got a couple of finals and stuff, and the answer to promote from within. I think they'll go, "Lee Carsley, try to get us to the World Cup." If you get us to the World Cup, fine, you can manage it at the World Cup. Carsley was a favourite for the island job, and he was like, "That's who the island wanted." Then it's something that somehow he broke the door, like he was like, "Just to say he didn't want it." So at the time, I was thinking, "I must be an officer and there must be a club job." I was like, "No, that looks the way it's going to go." But honestly, I just think... I think that's great. If he's a good coach and good manager, and he knows what he's doing. But unfortunately, at that level of football, especially with the England players, you're not dealing with just whatever your methods are you're putting on. It's your big personalities, you're dealing with. So are you going to build it? Guys like Jude Bellingham, who have him especially, but can't south out race, who are... Are you going to build to manage it? Are they going to respect you? I think because he wins under 21 euros or whatever. Cole Palmer and some of the players now will have gone through those methods, could translate some of that experience and be like... When they see the Spanish manager was only under 21 manager as well. It's only under 21 manager that's gone through. Maybe that's the way forward, but it really has to be somebody that players respect and run through also because at the moment, it doesn't matter what the methods are. He's a big coach, he's done well there. Because honestly, you're dealing with pre-med honors, and that's the biggest obstacle you're going to have as a manager. It's not my thought, I have heard this, and I can't remember where I heard it. But someone made the point, international management is different to club management. In the fact that, yeah, you think like Pochettino, Potter, like decent club managers, is it totally different to be an international manager? So therefore, there should be these managers that we don't necessarily know. We don't know the names of the Spanish manager was, like, was it gold? Wait, it's awesome. No idea. But is it a different sort of manager that you need to be successful at international? I don't know, I'll put in that maybe. I mean, you only got a certain amount of time with them, don't you? Maybe, I don't know. I mean, I would say, surely, the main thing is one thing that Gareth Salve got had, is great unity in a group of players that don't usually, you know, play in the same team week per week. But the other one is to have like a great tactical knowledge, because you have to be able to put these together in a short space and something. And he did have one of the two. I mean, he's done really well for England, but he just you know, there's, you do think back and think, like, oh, the Italy one was a good chance and stuff. And this one, this one was less of a good chance because it was Spain. Will we, will we get those chances again? Who knows? Yeah. Well, exactly. Have you seen your fantasy team yet? No, not yet. Fantasy. Oh, no, you've brought it up. It's really hard, guys. So obviously, all the prices go up on the players, but you don't get any more money to buy. You know, you still get a team with 100 million. Yeah. Yeah. But like, that's like 15 million. Cole Palmer's now 10.5. There's no way you can get someone like Salah and Harland and have a decent team. Like you can't have like too many premium. But it's all about finding their bargains again, because Cole Palmer was a bargain. Yeah, because he did so well. He's now up there. And I don't know if he's worth that money now because you never know what he'd be like under a new manager. Yeah. So is it is, it's going to be really interesting. It's going to come down to differentials. Someone might have Saka, someone might have Palmer and whoever plays better in that week will take the point. It's literally, it's going to be fine margins, guys. Have a look at it tonight, actually. Have a look at it tonight. I'm not going to look at it tonight, because I'm going to attempt to do it. But I can see that that's what it's going to be. You get a little bit of transfer until the first game mate. So you can team and then you can mess around with it. There's obviously, there's going to be like transfers as well. So some players might be on the move. So now I'm looking forward to the fantasy. Are we going to do a football humans fantasy league again? Oh, yeah. Definitely. Yeah. Yeah. Head to head the points league as well. People want to do both. I don't know what for that. Yeah. What about continuous forever? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We'll keep that. We'll keep that up. Give us something to talk about and know about anyway. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. Yeah. I was going to, just to go back to the euros, I was, I was really pissed off with the how Trent Alexander Arnold was treated. And I know, I know I'm biased. And I know it's mean, it's because he's a Liverpool player. And it is, it is because he's a Liverpool player. But I thought it was bang out of order that he was shoved in the middle of midfield, and then like basically hold off and may new put in like, and well, we should have played more minutes. And Kyle Walker, a couple of goals, and he should have been right back. I just, I mean, you're a coworker. Well, you're a coworker. Yeah. Well, you're a coworker at a pretty poor tournament. And he got in the team with a tournament. I was like, what? It was not great. But that was Southgate again. He's like, where's that come from? He's played in midfield briefly for Liverpool at the start of last week. Square pegs and lone halls. And then he's like, well, he's going to be the man, even though I'm not done it in any fucking friendlies apart from like half an hour and one of them. And then all of a sudden he's like, actually, that didn't work. Let's pro Connor Gallagher. And he didn't know who he was going to have in there. No, he didn't. When may new is in there, it worked. And it started making me think, well, do we need Declan Rice? Because actually may new seems to be doing all of the work now. Is Declan Rice sort of a read? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. He's the opposite player, is he? He's a great player. If he was Slovenian, he'd be a £20 million player. Let's go on us. And he's still been played by West Ham. You're not wrong. You're not wrong. What was your moment? He's promised to check 10 years ago. Sorry, go on. Well, your moment of the tournament. I'm just going to put my moment of the tournament was Cristiano Ronaldo crying. Like, I think that he was hilarious. And it was just a brilliant moment. It was like a little kid on the pitch just by throwing his toys out. Oh, it was great. I cannot believe I was wrong. One of your firsts is, I could be all night with this guy. He is a fucking, I cannot believe he gets away with this in this day and age. Do you know what? You're going to bring one on the subject, right? But Martin is, became his manager, the fuck holes in the manager anywhere, the Belgian team, who has the best players in the world, four or five years, but the fuck hole there. It's a portion of the team. Bring the back of Ronaldo back in. And basically just like, right, penalties on him, free kicks him, whatever it is in the pitch, throwing, seeking out the captain. It's like a primary score. You know, he's got my ball and I'm... He's got one free kick in like a major, like international tournament. And he's taken about 60 some minutes out of that. How could I possible the good for his teammates? How is that for Ronaldo? How are his teammates? Not going to be like, mate, what are you doing, mate? We're all playing for world class. We're all world class players. We're all a bit Ronaldo. And he's 40 years old. Like, is it in Martin? He's like, no, no, no, leave him there. They are so stupid. I cannot believe that the Portugal players didn't revolt and be like, drop him now, because he's a fucking painter. Yeah, I know he's going on the same counts, but like, how did Martin is get that job? No, I don't know. I don't know. Because it was weird that he got the Belgium job, and when he didn't do anything with him, yet if anything, they got worse. And then all of a sudden he gets a Portugal job. And then he must have sat there thinking, oh, we've got like the generational, look at all these young players, we've got, they're so good. Who's the man to do it? Who the fuck brought up Martinez when they said that? He was sat, before he looked at his Belgium, he was sat by Evan. He got sat by Evan. Before he looked at Evan, he was looking at his job, because he was almost getting sat by Wiggin, who could be named Melof Spaz. What the fuck is that? You look at Portugal, it's the same as England. You look through your whole squad, you look at his name after name after name here. And you're thinking, oh, it's all a bit, it's all a bit, it's all a bit, it's all about them. I would be absolutely spent there as if I was at that Portugal team. I would struggle, Martin is, but get him the fuck out of here. Mine, though, is he doing that? What was your moment at the tournament? Well, we're just classes like something that stands out for you guys. Mine was the England penalties, when we saw those five amazing penalties. I was never felt like against Switzerland, I never felt like any of them were going to miss, and it was great, but they were all different. All right, it was just amazing. Palmer, Tony, Arnold, Bellingham, and Saka, just all absolutely nailed them, like absolutely nailed them. That was my best moment. And for you, Barry, what was it, the red card in Germany at the late? I don't know. Who said card, who said card? You got, then you have a player sent off against Germany. Like, you did, didn't you? You had a red card against Germany? Yeah. So long ago, I can't remember. I can't remember. Okay, who was it, who was sent off? I can't remember his name. It messed up between, though, because then you got the injuries and then you didn't have any cover because you had to play suspended. Yeah. Anyway, I can't remember who was sent off. Any of the moments, was it Jude Bellingham's overhead kick? Was it the young lad at Spain that? Ryan Porches. Ryan Porches sent off. That was the family. At the end, at the end, at the end, at the end, yeah, sorry, cut him. Was it Yamal's, will the, like... Oh, that was good. Yeah, that was good. And yeah, that was good. Any of the moments that kind of stopped being... The whole thing, it was just like, because I know England underperformed and got to a final, which is great. But, and you say it's gotten underperformed. They weren't the only ones, were they? Because, like we said, Portugal, France were fucking terrible. They were shit, yeah. Really bad. Italy were shocking as well. They were terrible as well. I mean... Most teams were crap. Most teams were crap. The best teams in the tournament met in the quarter final. It was Spain, Germany, but the best teams in the tournament. That should have been the final. Even Germany were lucky. Germany didn't... Yeah, but they were, they were the better of a bad one. Yeah, I know, I know. You're quite late, quite late. Yeah, it wasn't like the tournament. That was great. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. But, well, couple bit more entertaining, wasn't it? Probably not. Well, we finished. Just wanted to touch on the Copper America. Did you see the fight in the Copper America? Do you see it? Yeah. We're thin, yes. Semi-final, yeah. Yeah, I'm going to fight. Can you see that? Yeah. Might be like... Maybe a couple of games might come over. Like, might be... But the thing is, though, I'll get where he's coming from, because if you, you know, your family's in that section, they're getting better than people would, you know. He's... What's he going to do? Yeah, you've got to protect your family. Yeah, there wasn't really... Yeah, seeing at the end where he was like, holding his kid and stuff and... Yeah, awful. He's awful. He went in a bit mad, but... So then... He wouldn't look up for America anyway. Was it Argentina? Argentina, yeah. I don't even know that. Yeah. Does that, you know, then they sung that stupid bloody, like, French, like, racist French song, I was saying. So it ends up... Oh, yeah! It ends up... Oh, yes! We got unfollowed by, like, loads of French Chelsea players. Like... That's going to be a good first day back in the effort, isn't it? Yeah. What a dick. You were right, you know what I mean? Well, then... Two hearts players were playing at Copper America. Two hearts players? Both of them were Costa Rica. So, one we had last year, his name's Kenny. Kenneth. Just Kenny. Just Kenny Vargas. Yours was an audience pretty arass. Yours is killed. And then we just signed the right... the right back of our Costa Rica. They played the whole... Every game in the tournament. His name's Jettled. Jettled and Tennant. Jettled Taylor. Jettled... Jettled Taylor. His name is... So Kenny and Jerry, both of our hearts. And they're both Costa Rican. They're not Costa Rican, right? They are. They're Scottish with, like, a Costa Rican ground. They're not. Do you know what's funny about that? Kenny and Jerry, yeah. My family tree dates back to whatever century it was. And my original family came from Costa Rica. Honestly, I'm being deadly serious. No, you're not. Yes, I am. My family tree. So in the 17th or the 18th century was my family from Costa Rica. Are you one of the one shops or so? No, because what I'm thinking of... I love the shop. You know, your son name, your son name is named. You get it from, like, whatever your job was or whatever at the time. So whatever, Smith. You're a blacksmith, a rocksmith. So Berry is obviously Berry pickers. Obviously, I'm being deadly serious. My family came from Costa Rica. And that's why I think there's a couple of guys called Jerry and Kenny. I can't say that. We both live for Hans. I've been serious. I've been deadly serious. Yes, I am. I've told this report, my family dates back 300 years old to Costa Rica. All right, I'll get the family tree for you. And I'll send it to you. I'll send it to you. I can't believe you brought this up. We've got less than a minute on this part. And you brought up the fact that you're Costa Rican. That is just like, I mean, we're going to have to not ask all of the rest of us. Two Costa Rica and I asked us to play for hearts in Cop America. They're both called Kenny and Jerry. Kenny and Jerry. And Kenny and Jerry too. Okay, nice. It could be. It could be. Chat, been an absolute pleasure. We will be back maybe next week. Maybe in a couple of weeks. Predictions, yeah. It's the most relaxed football pod out there. That's why people listen to us. We'll see you soon. Bye bye. See you guys. Have a good one. - Take it easy, Chuck. - Take it. [BLANK_AUDIO]
