This is Turley Talks. Does Kamala Harris fare against the former president? I mean, the short answer is not really any better. Take a look at this. This is the average of all the polls. You're talking about their since the debate that tested Kamala Harris against Donald Trump. Trump, 47%, Harris, 46%. And in this same set of polls when it was Joe Biden, 47% for Trump, and 45% for Biden. So the Democratic number on average goes up from 45 to 46. But I think it underscores for Democrats, they view this move as something that's going to improve their chances in the general election. That is based more on hope than it is on the numbers right now, because you go another level deep in this, and you've got the favorable, unfavorable, basic impression people have of these candidates here. Joe Biden, look, these numbers have looked like this for a long time. Very, very bad numbers, 36 favorable, 57 unfavorable again. This is an average of polls over the last month. So what's the difference with Kamala Harris? Again, not much of a difference from 36 favorable to 38, 57 unfavorable down to 52. But that's still a majority of voters saying they have an unfavorable impression of Kamala Harris. Throw up Donald Trump's numbers there for comparison. These at 41 favorable, 55 unfavorable. All three of these figures with majorities of voters saying they are unfavorably impressed by them. So again, from the Democratic standpoint here, they think Harris being, you know, reintroduced as a presidential candidate, getting a different look. They think these numbers can improve for her, both in the favorables and in the horse race against Trump. But we don't know, as you say, she has not really been tested in her name, never actually got to a primary ballot in 2020. She dropped out a couple of months before that. So see how it goes over, Democrats hope these numbers will improve. There's also a possibility they don't. There's also a possibility this rollout does not go well. And you just saw an MSNBC poll analyst throw Kamala Harris's candidacy into the toilet. That's exactly what's happening. The Democrats may have thought they could find some kind of reprieve from Biden's collapsing poll numbers. But as it turns out, with Kamala, they've actually gone from bad to worse. Hey, gang, it's me, Dr. Steve, coming to you from beautiful, but bit rainy Maine. But I didn't want to weigh in on what appears to be really nothing less than a train wreck of a candidacy. Don't let the big haul of donor money over the last few days fool you. Those donors are the ones who pulled off that successful coup against Biden, but they're absolutely clueless politically. They have no idea what it would seem. They have no idea what they actually did or do they? I found a very interesting theory about what these Democrat donors and operatives are, in fact, dueling with Kamala. And I think you're going to find that very interesting. But let's look at the polls. They're just, gang, they're just devastating. I mean, look at these numbers, we got the JL partners, Daily Mail poll that just came out. There's Trump up by double digits, he's up 11 over Harris, social research search has Trump up eight, Emerson has Trump up by six, there's a Harris ex poll that has Trump up by 10. I mean, based solely on the numbers, there are election forecasters who are now giving Trump a near 90% chance of winning in November. Again, the numbers just don't lie here, gang. Now, obviously it goes without saying this is no time to get complacent. If we're complacent, yes, we're going to blow it. But as you can see, again, just by going by those numbers, we have an opportunity here to crush the Democrats really like never before. Take, I mean, take a look at this from Quinnipiac. Look at this. Now keep in mind, Quinnipiac is about as favorable to the Democrats as you can possibly get. Look at this. This is the under 34 vote, the so-called youth vote. That's Trump by 19, 58 to 39. That's it. That's the election. Remember, the under 34 vote went for Biden by 30 points in 2020, 65% of the youth voted for Biden. This is a catastrophic collapse from 65% of the vote to now just 39% for the Democratic. It's a stunning reversal. You have to remember that Kamala Harris, she's a very bad candidate. She barely won her Attorney General election in California. The Republican candidate came within 1% of the vote to upset her. And speaking of 1%, that's about all she was able to garner in her failed presidential bid back in 2020. She's an absolutely lousy candidate who has a hard time winning elections even in the deepest of blue states. So what on earth is going on here? What are the Democrats trying to pull in all of this? I came across a theory that I think is very plausible, and that's exactly what we're going to find out. Our good friend, Rich Barris of the People's Fund, had an awesome argument in his live stream yesterday, Rich is basically arguing that Kamala Harris is playing the part of a sacrificial lamb. In other words, the powers that be in the Democratic Party obviously recognize she has no viable path to victory. They see it. They read the number. That's exactly what the MSNBC clip was all about. She's, or I put it this way, she's no more viable than sleepy Joe. But there's a key difference. Were Joe to lose, he would lose in the perception of the failure of the Democrats to govern. In other words, the Democrats would lose based on their failed policies. It's not just that Joe is senile, it's his policies that voters despise. It's failed policies in the economy and border and inflation and violent crime and wars abroad. And the last time a Democrat lost because of his failed policies with Jimmy Carter and it took the Democrats for more election cycles before they were able to rectify that and reverse that. Ironically, by putting up, by running another Southern Democrat this time from Arkansas. So the Democrats have two choices. They could lose with Joe based on his failed policies, which may kill their chances of winning the presidency for the next three election cycles, or they could put up Kamala and blame her loss on anything and everything other than their failed policies. They can blame her loss on sexism, racism, Joe's age and senility and a chaos and ensued as a result, anything but their failed policies. So that's the role that Kamala Harris is fulfilling. She's taking one for the team as it were so that they can lose but keep their policy integrity intact as it were. Again, Rich is arguing, and I would agree with this. He doesn't think it's going to work. There's viscerally despised the policies of the Biden administration of which Kamala has been a central part, but you can already see the simulacrum, the simulated reality of the legacy media and the talking points that they'll be pushing in the aftermath of this upcoming presidential election, which looks increasingly likely to be a Democrat disaster.
