Yesterday, what a chaos scenario was for the Secret Service Director. I mean, it got to the point now, like, you know, seriously, why do you still have your job? In fact, you know, Nancy Mays from South Carolina asking her if she'd like to use her five minutes to, you know, resign. My first question, both sides of the aisle today have asked for your resignation. Would you like to use my five minutes to draft your resignation letter? Yes, or no? No, thank you. She doesn't mean it doesn't sound like she's going anywhere. Ryan Schmels, our Fox correspondent in D.C., with more on Ms. Ryan. Welcome in by partisan questioning going on yesterday, Democrats and Republicans coming after her, pretty heavy. And I don't think she answered many of the questions real well. Your thoughts and what are we hearing from inside the Beltway in reaction to all this? Well, JT, I think it was, it was a rough hearing and definitely not a good day for the Secret Service Director. You know, it was, yes, like you said, it was a bipartisan growing that she got and it's bipartisan frustration still towards the Secret Service Director because they felt that she just did not answer a lot of the questions that they had. And I think the one thing I really stand out, JT, is that you have the ranking member, Jamie Raskin, who's the top Democrat on this committee come out and use his closing statement as an opportunity to call on her to step aside, saying that she's lost the trust of Congress. So, and I do really feel, you know, that there might be more Democrats out there who want her to step aside. They're just waiting for the investigation to conclude, but this is just not trending in the right direction for her whatsoever. Yeah, I thought it was pretty strange, as she said, well, I'll have to get back to you on that a lot. I mean, more than anybody wanted to hear, and Jim Jordan really attacked her on the look. You've had nine days to prepare for this. You knew you were coming to Congress here. You've had nine days to take a look at some of the evidence. You haven't even been to the site where all this took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. I mean, she really didn't come prepared for the ACT test. You know, it's like, hey, wait a minute. You knew you were coming in here for this, okay? Where's your ducks in a row sheet? Do we have one of those? I mean, basically, I think her marching orders were deflect as much as you can. We're still investigating. You know, she might as well said I'm pleading the fifth. It got to the point where like, wait a minute, why are you so evasive on this? I mean, you're part of a cover up here? Nobody asked that. That would have been my last question since you're not answering anything, ma'am. Are you part of some other cover up that somebody has instructed you to go in this direction to avoid answering our questions because there's a worse outcome than we can't even realize? I mean, that's where I would have been, but I guess we're done with her until the investigations are over. Yeah, we'll see. We'll see. She was invited to test five for the House Homeland Security Committee today. She rejected that call. So instead, we're going to be hearing from local law enforcement. And then also, we'll have the FBI Director testifying tomorrow. So there certainly is some more opportunities to learn more about this investigation. But when it comes to the Secret Service Director, yes, for in the meantime, she is not going to be doing this anytime soon. She's not going to be testifying any time soon that we know. But I think the big thing today, JT, is that there was a bipartisan task force that was announced by Speaker Johnson as well as minority leader, Hakeem Jeffries, that all consist of six Republicans or six Democrats, seven Republicans, and they'll be looking into the investigation into the assassination attempt on former President Trump. Wow. As this investigation does continue, I mean, yesterday, we saw some of the data was brought out by the, you know, folks asking the questions, timelines, specific times of when we knew what and what we knew, and yet the director kind of played like, I got to get back to you on that. So how do we know that information? And you as the Director of Secret Service don't know that information. You know, I guess it's just protocol when you've got a boss that's the president and the only one that can, you know, decide whether or not you stay or leave. If you get direction from the president and let's say the FBI Director on this one as well, and they're all coalescing and grabbing their wagons and circling, and the mantra is deny and deflects in these proceedings until further notice. That's what they're doing. Do you anticipate the FBI Director implicating her to save his own butter? Where do you think that testimony is going to go? Or do you think it's going to be right in line with everything else? Well, I am not quite sure the FBI Director has anything to worry about when it comes to this specifically. They're just kind of handling the investigation, I mean, the responsibility to secure that scene was under Secret Service and local law enforcement. So if anyone's going to be blamed, it's going to be them. The FBI is just the one handling the investigation, at least from the crime scene standpoint. But you know, there's going to be more investigations that come. You know, we've got the task force we just said that they'll likely get a vote to establish it on Wednesday. There's some other, I believe the Department of Homeland Security is doing an internal investigation. There's also, you know, some other Senate committees that might be looking into this as well. So, I mean, there's going to be plenty of investigating that's going to be going on over the next month. Sure. Sure. Well, Ryan, thank you for the update. I appreciate you this morning. Hello.
