Yeah, good morning JT every year Taiwan holds military drills of course China's threat is ever present China said that Taiwan is part of China And one day will be reunified with the mainland and that'll happen by force if necessary So that's why Taiwan every year they conduct vast defensive drills to prepare themselves for the possibility of invasion But this year is a little bit different They have abandoned some aspects that were more for show showing off their weaponry showing us what they've got But actually focusing on replicating actual combat as closely as possible there have been some changes recently Which might have led to that one is that Taiwan has a new president William lie who believed that Taiwanese people should decide their future He's offered talks to Beijing, but Beijing views him as a separatist their language towards him has been Arguably quite hostile and they've rejected any and all talks Unsettling Taiwan's future in any way that he would see as being reasonable So you've got these drills taking place right across Taiwan soldiers laying minds next to Die me the landing of enemy enemy forces at a strategic river near the capital Taipei But also the civilians of Taiwan are receiving alerts There are air raid sirens and civilians heads and we've heading to bomb shelters Because their own readiness is something which is very important to the Taiwanese people you know globally There's a lot of things going on discussions concerning, you know, not only that but also with what's happening in Ukraine What's happening in Israel and Gaza? He says that's what's important right now meanwhile is Netanyahu is going to address a joint Congress the Israeli military is now ordered the evacuation a part of a crowded area the Gaza Strip and saying You know they plan an operation against Hamas militants who've been embedded themselves You know have been you know in that area and used to launch rockets toward Israel So that battle even though these two situations Basically three if you talk about Taiwan as well have taken back burner to what's happening here in the United States But you know the the battles continue in Gaza and Israel's on the offense again. It looks like Yeah, certainly.
