White House press secretary Caroline Levitt is highlighting the executive actions taken by President Trump in his first week back in office during the first White House press briefing of his second term on Tuesday. Since taking the oath of office, President Trump has taken more than 300 executive actions, secured nearly $1 trillion in U.S. investments, deported illegal alien rapists, gang members and suspected terrorists. Immigration and customs enforcement has said the Trump administration's crackdown on illegal immigrants has resulted in over 3500 arrests. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem joined a raid Tuesday morning where ICE officers made an arrest in New York. President Trump's latest executive order will ban access to gender-affirming health care for people younger than 19. Trump signed the order Tuesday, which says it will now be policy that the United States won't fund sponsor, promote, assist or support anyone younger than 19 from transitioning. Norfolk Southern and the village of East Palestine, Ohio are reaching a $22 million settlement over a trained derailment in 2023 that led to a toxic spill. The settlement is said to be used for priorities the village identifies in connection with the derailment and also reaffirms Norfolk Southern's commitment of $25 million to ongoing improvements to East Palestine City Park. Additional legal actions are pending. Residents challenging the company's $600 million settlement related to the crash have asked a court to reject the judge's order requiring them to put up a nearly million-dollar bond to continue their appeal for higher compensation and more information about the contamination. I'm Taren Johnson. Google says it will change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America in Google Maps. The company said Monday it's just waiting on the info to be updated in the U.S. Geographic name system. I'm Brian Shook. O.J. Simpson's youngest son is accused of improperly claiming ownership of his late father's home. That's according to a lawsuit filed by the special administrator of Simpson's estate. The home was bought by an LLC in August of 2022. New York City Mayor Adams is limiting his public schedule this week because of unexplained health issues. Sarah Lee Kessler reports. We don't know what the mayor is dealing with health-wise City Hall isn't saying other than to release a statement saying Adams hasn't been feeling his best over the past few days and his multiple doctor's appointments and medical tests scheduled. Public advocate Jumani Williams is next in line if the mayor's unable to perform his duties but says he hasn't been notified. I would say just in terms of providing confidence for New York City that might be better to have that communication. Meantime the mayor's team is assuring the public that Adams is in communication with his staff to ensure city business continues. I'm Sarah Lee Kessler. Space heaters are one of the most common causes of house fires during the winter. Brad Ford has more nationwide. Nearly 46,000 fires were caused by heaters resulting in 480 deaths and a billion dollars in property damage. The Washington state fire marshal says precautions can prevent the fires. Keep flammables three feet away from a heater. Don't leave a heater running unattended and plug them directly into an outlet. Not a power strip. The heater should be placed on a flat service and it should have an automatic shut off in the event it tips over. I'm Brad Ford.
