A White House internal memo reportedly said the temporary pause will allow for agency programs to be reviewed. In press secretary Caroline Levitt's first press briefing, she addressed some of what the freeze will not impact. At 27 years old, Levitt is the youngest person ever to hold the position of press secretary. More than 3,500 arrests have been made in immigration raids across the country. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem joined a raid Tuesday morning where ICE officers made an arrest in New York. It comes as President Trump's borders are Tom Holman told CNN the scale of the deportation raids depends on funding from Congress. Sean Duffy is being confirmed as Secretary of Transportation. The Senate voted to confirm President Trump's pick to lead the Transportation Department Tuesday. The vote was 77-22. During his confirmation hearing, Duffy said he would focus on road safety to reduce fatalities on U.S. roadways. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman calls emerging Chinese AI startup DeepSeek impressive. Altman wrote on X that it's invigorating to have a new competitor. DeepSeek launched its AI model R1 last week. It jumped to the #1 free app position on Apple's U.S. App Store overtaking OpenAI. Altman added that his company is working on new models, saying the world is going to want to use a lot of AI. Americans' economic confidence is slipping, but responses are very much split by party. Gallup's Economic Confidence Index sits at a negative 19 on a scale from negative 100 to positive 100, that's slightly down from negative 14 in December. Republican score has ticked up since President Trump won the White House. It rose by 30 points with GOP voters the same amount it dropped for Democrats. I'm Lisa Taylor. OpenAI is launching a new version of chat GPT specifically for government agencies. Called chat GPT Gov, it will allow U.S. government agencies to use the most powerful version of the popular AI model. Its chief product officer said in a call Monday that AI is one of the great American inventions of our lifetime. He said the company's mission to work with the government includes both a civil and national security focus. Federal agencies will have access to chat GPT Gov, even when working with sensitive information. Eric Adams is out of commission as he faces an uncertain future in New York City politics. Natalie Migliori has more. The mayor's team announced he would not be making as many public appearances this week due to undisclosed health concerns. However, it all comes as the Democrat gears up to make a run for re-election and speculation points to more criminal charges coming his way. Earlier, this marked prosecutors published a court filing that claimed they found additional criminal conduct by Mayor Adams and his associates. A tourist at South Africa's Kruger National Park has died after an elephant trampled them. Park officials called it a tragic accident. The elephant reportedly charged and trampled the tourist. Authorities are investigating the events that led to the death. Officials asked the public to refrain from posting photos or videos of the incident or the victim due to the sensitivity of the matter. There's a ton of action going down in the college basketball world tonight. In the top game of the night, number 12, Kentucky will take on number 8 Tennessee at 7 p.m. Eastern. At the same time, Wake Forest will take on number 22 Louisville. Before that, number 14 St. John's will take on Georgetown in Washington D.C. at 6 30 p.m. At 8 p.m., Minnesota will face off against number 7 Michigan State and UCF will play number 11 Kansas.
