House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, suggested on Monday that he's open to California's wildfire recovery aid being linked to the Golden State adopting voter ID laws. The idea follows President Trump's comments during his visit to fire-affected areas in Los Angeles, Trump criticized California's handling of elections citing three close congressional races that Republicans lost last November, despite no evidence of fraud. A newly released video allegedly shows the moment a power transmission line sparked the deadly eaten fire, Tammy Trujillo with details. The video was filmed by a gas station security camera in Altadena during the January seventh windstorm. Lawyers from the firm Edelson claim a burst of light that's visible in the footage are power lines from Southern California Edison starting the fire. The cause of the fire has not been officially determined at this point. It's worth noting, though, that investigators have been seen examining the area where that line is located. Utility says not all of its Altadena transmission lines were powered off that night. I'm Tammy Trujillo. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reported to be considering a trip to the U.S. next week to meet with President Trump, correspondent Sarah Coats. According to U.S. media, this potential upcoming trip to Washington by Benjamin Netanyahu is being seen as a gesture from Mr. Trump to the Prime Minister for agreeing to a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal. Netanyahu's office says no invitation has been extended so far. But if the trip does occur next week, Netanyahu would be the first foreign leader to meet with Trump at the White House since the inauguration. A tuberculosis outbreak in the Kansas City area is now the largest documented outbreak in U.S. history. This according to state officials, there are currently nearly 70 people being treated for TB on the Kansas side of Kansas City. I'm Michael Kastner. An update is coming to Google Maps to reflect new names being given to geographic landmarks. Rory O'Neill reports the Gulf of Mexico will be changed to Gulf of America and Alaska's Denali will be renamed Mount McKinley. The name changes were announced by President Trump during his inaugural address in posts on X Google says it will follow the government's lead by changing the names on its maps app. Also on X Google said they have a longstanding practice of applying name changes when they have been updated in official government sources. I'm Rory O'Neill. Florida is the best place to retire in 2025. Brian shook with more. That's according to a new study by Wallet Hub. The Sunshine State was ranked number one for retirement nationwide due to its low taxes for retirees and the funding it receives for seniors from the Older Americans Act which funds transportation and nutrition programs for older residents. Some of the other best states to retire include Minnesota, Colorado and Wyoming while Kentucky was named the worst. I'm Brian Shook. Another documentary is out about hip hop mogul Sean Diddy Combs and the accusations of sex trafficking against him. Investigation Discovery premiered episode one of The Fall of Diddy last night. Katie Perry will head out on her first U.S. tour since 2018 later this year. She'll kick off the North American leg of her lifetime's tour on May 7 in Houston.
