This is your 24/7 news update, the latest views this hour in just four minutes. A federal judge is vacating an order that bans some January 6 defendants from Washington, D.C. Last week, the judge barred January 6 defendants who had their sentences commuted by President Trump from visiting the U.S. Capitol or D.C. without first receiving permission from the court, the Department of Justice responded by requesting the restrictions be removed. Judge declined to remove them, but acknowledged they will not be enforced. President Trump has signed a number of executive orders that ban any diversity-related programs in the military. As a result of Monday's move, any new diversity-related practices will be subject to an internal review by Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth from signed two other orders, including one that reinstates those who were discharged for refusing the COVID vaccine, and one that bans those who identify as transgender from serving in the armed forces. Scott Besent is now the next U.S. Treasury Secretary. The yeas are 68, the nays are 29, the confirmation is confirmed. The Senate voted on Monday to approve the ex-Hedge Fund Manager, the 62-year-old Besent, will oversee the IRS and influence the nation's fiscal policy. New Jersey Congressman Josh Gothimer is trying to bring down the rising cost of food through new legislation. Scott Pringle reports. Gothimer's legislation will direct the Department of Agriculture to appoint a special investigator to strictly enforce price-fixing laws for the meatpacking industry. It would also require the department to encourage new meat producers to enter the market. You can't have four meat producers controlling 85 percent of the market, cornering the market and setting prices, and jacking up meat prices. It's crushing middle-class families. The Congressman is also introducing the Lower Grocery Prices Act. This is going to require the U.S. Government Accountability Office to create a national plan to combat high food prices and deliver relief to struggling families, he says. Those mysterious drone sightings are returning to the northeast after the FAA has lifted its 30-day flight ban more from Sarah Lee Kessler. The lights are coordinated.
