One of the orders will reportedly include reinstating service members with back pay for those who are discharged for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine. Another will ban transgender service members from serving in the U.S. armed forces, while the third will ban any diversity-related programs in the military. I ordered the end to all of the lawless diversity, equity and inclusion, nonsense, policies across the government. Trump spoke to House Republicans at the annual policy retreat at his National Doral Resort just outside Miami today. A newly released video allegedly shows the moment a power transmission line sparked the deadly eat and fire. The video was filmed by a gas station security camera in Altadena during that January 7th wind storm. Wall Street is closing mostly lower with a massive tech sell-off, Sarah Lee Kessler reports. The Nasdaq fell more than 3 percent in a technology route linked to Chinese start-up deep-seek and artificial intelligence. AI-related names plunged with Nividia and Broadcom dropping 18 percent on concerns over competition from the low-cost Chinese app. At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 289 points. The official deadline to file your taxes is still April 15th. The agency did note individuals and businesses affected by the wildfires in Southern California now have until October 15th to file their taxes. I'm Brian Schook. Los Angeles County public health officials are urging beachgoers to avoid all contact with ocean water after the region saw its first significant rainfall since the spring. Mark Mayfield reports due to possible contaminants in the water and ocean quality rain advisory is in place through Thursday morning. Officials are telling people to particularly avoid areas near storm drains, creeks and rivers. Possible contaminants in the water include bacteria, chemicals, debris, trash, and other public health hazards. I'm Mark Mayfield. Federal health officials are urging pet food companies to increase safeguards due to the rise in cat illnesses and deaths from bird flu contaminated raw pet food and raw milk. The FDA recently advised pet food manufacturers to source ingredients from flocks or herds that are healthy and begin using heat treatment to inactivate harmful viruses. Chicago public schools CEO Pedro Martinez is under fire concerning a false report that ICE agents were inside a city grade school. Perry Williams says more. Martinez defended the district's response on Friday at Hamline Elementary School on the south side. He says the principal did not let the feds in the building. But 20th warned older women Jeanette Taylor says Martinez should have had security at the school. We saw loads of people that we didn't know. We saw a few protesters at this school, and so where was the protection? What did CPS safety and security do? In my opinion, nothing. Taylor is requesting that Mayor Brandon Johnson and CPS have a coordinated plan when ICE shows up to city schools. Two giant pandas have made their American debut. Giant pandas Bali and Chingbao can now be seen at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.
