The Trump administration has launched a social media thread showcasing what it calls the worst criminals arrested by immigration and customs enforcement since the president's inauguration. The White House ex-thread reads that under President Trump's leadership, ICE agents are working tirelessly to protect our communities. House Speaker Mike Johnson says he feels like the U.S. is entering a new era of government. Lisa Taylor reports. Louisiana Congressman spoke ahead of President Trump meeting with House GOP members in Derral, Florida. "When the president says he wants to make the government more efficient and effective and we say we want to limit the size and scope of government, it means that everything is on the table for re-evaluation." He added that he expects the U.S. to handle negotiations with countries on deportation flights the same way it did with Colombia over the weekend. It comes as House Republican leaders have signaled they will attempt to put Trump's legislative agenda into one bill that would include measures on energy and the border. I'm Lisa Taylor. Southern California's first major rainfall arrived over the weekend and the wet weather is expected to continue. As a result, Los Angeles County Public Works is watching for mudslides in areas scorched by the recent wildfires. Meteorologist Ryan Kittle says it will be another week and a half before we see more rain. "The next peaceful storm chance is not until the middle of next week." County officials say flood control dams, river channels and stormwater capture systems are fully operational and maintenance crews are on standby. Scott Besant is confirmed as the next Treasury Secretary. Monday, the Senate voted 68-29 in approval of the ex-Hedge Fund manager. A New York state trooper and his parents have turned themselves in to face charges after the trooper allegedly falsely claimed he was shot. Trooper Thomas Messia is charged with tampering with evidence, false reporting of a crime and official misconduct. I'm Brian Schucht. The number one cause of death in the U.S. remains the same. Jennifer Polsoni has more. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the U.S. that's according to data and the American Heart Association's 2025 Heart Disease and Stroke Statistics Update. The annual update published in the Association's flagship journal Circulation notes that while medical advances have helped keep people living longer, many risk factors like high blood pressure and obesity that lead to diseases like heart disease and stroke continue to grow at high rates. Cardiovascular diseases claim more lives in the U.S. than cancer and accidental deaths combined which are the second and third leading causes of death respectively nationwide. I'm Jennifer Polsoni. A new analysis shows congestion is actually increasing in the New York City region since the Manhattan congestion pricing toll went into effect January 5th. Scott Pringle has the details. Data from the transportation analytics firm Enrich shows travel time slowed overall by 3% in the morning rush and 4% in the evening rush in the first two weeks of congestion pricing. That compares to the same time frame last year. It shows an improvement on highways and major roads in Manhattan during both rush hours but slower times in Brooklyn and Staten Island in the morning and slower in Queens in the Bronx in the evening. Travel times also increased in Essex and Bergen counties in New Jersey but improved in Nassau County. Scott Pringle reporting the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is calling a newly released Netflix series Dangerously Misleading. Canadian Primeval began streaming on Netflix this month and follows LDS pioneers enduring the American frontier during the Utah War of 1857. A statement from the LDS Church on the series reads, "Bregum Young, a revered prophet and courageous pioneer is by any historical standard, egregiously mischaracterized as a villainous violent fanatic."
