Trump touted the work his team has done since taking office and spoke about getting rid of government weaponization. I also signed an order to end the weaponization of our government against the American people and investigate all abuses of power. The remarks come as House Republican leaders have signaled they'll attempt to put Trump's legislative agenda into one bill that could include measures on energy and the border. Southern California's first major rainfall arrived over the weekend and the wet weather is expected to continue throughout the day. As a result, Los Angeles County Public Works is preparing for possible mudslides in areas scorched by the recent wildfires. The official say flood control dams, river channels, and stormwater capture systems are fully operational and maintenance crews are on standby. A person is under arrest after reportedly claiming to have a Molotov cocktail and a knife while outside the U.S. Capitol. ABC News reports the person was stopped on the East Plaza outside the Capitol. The president of Mexico is sending mixed messages to the Trump administration. Michael Board has the details. President Claudia Shinebaum used an event today to condemn the start of immigration raids saying that Mexicans are helping sustain the economy of the United States. President Shinebaum previously said they have not agreed to the restart of Trump's Remain in Mexico program, but at the same time, there are reports out today that Mexico has accepted thousands of people over the past week who have been deported, including non-Mexicans. I'm Michael Board. Those mysterious drone sightings are returning to the Northeast after the FAA lifted its 30-day flight ban. From New Jersey to Connecticut, New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts, those unexplained drone sightings are back, along with the videos. I'm Brian Shook. A spectator at a high school track and field meet was killed Sunday after being struck by a hammer thrown out of bounds during a competition at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. The University confirmed the hammer cleared certified barriers and hit the spectator who was pronounced dead at the scene. UCCS expressed heartbreak over the incident and canceled the remainder of the meet. Police are looking for a group of vandals that attacked a Waymo driverless taxi in Beverly Grove, California. Mark Mayfield reports it happened at about four o'clock Sunday morning. Lisa the crown surrounded the vehicle while it was stomped at a red light. A video of the incident posted to social media shows one person on the roof of the Waymo, one person inside, and a third person kicking the back passenger door. All the windows and windshield were shattered. The front passenger door was ripped off and at least one tire was flattened. The Waymo did not have a passenger at the time. I'm Mark Mayfield. After nearly being sunk by the pandemic, the cruise industry is sailing into some record territory. Rorio Neil has more skeptics thought the cruise industry would never survive. COVID but triple A says it's the one sector of the travel industry that's outperformed the rest. 19 million Americans are expected to cruise this year and increase of 4.5%. The cruise industry says with inflation of big concern, more passengers are lured by the value of cruising with many taking advantage of voyages that last just two to five days. I'm Rorio Neil. Paul McCartney is advocating for more protections for young artists against artificial intelligence and exploitation by tech companies. In an interview with the BBC, the former beetle called for regulations and decried the fact that anyone can seemingly get ripped off.
