This is your 24/7 News Update, the latest views this hour in just four minutes. An Israel in Lebanon ceasefire has been extended. In a statement Sunday, the White House said the Hezbollah and Israel ceasefire is now set to be effective until February 18. An earlier agreement had a time frame of two months in which Israel would pull out its army from southern Lebanon as the Lebanese armed forces to start deployments in the same area. The White House says the Colombian government has agreed to President Trump's terms after threatening tariffs. Mark Mayfield has details. In a statement, the White House said that the country had agreed to Trump's terms, including the unrestricted acceptance of all illegal aliens from Colombia returned from the United States. The statement also said the drafted actions on tariffs and sanctions would be held in reserve and not signed unless Colombia fails to honor this agreement. Trump is threatening retaliatory measures after Colombia denied entry to a pair of U.S. military deportation flights. The flights involved two C-17 aircraft, which were carrying about 80 Colombian migrants each from California. In response, Trump announced on Truth Social Sunday, sweeping measures, including tariffs on Colombian imports, visa sanctions on government officials, and increased customs inspections and financial penalties. I'm Mark Mayfield. Federal health officials urging pet food companies to increase safeguards due to the rise in cat illnesses and deaths from bird flu contaminated raw pet food. Lisa Carton has that story. The Food and Drug Administration recently advised pet food manufacturers to source ingredients from flocks or herds that are healthy and begin using heat treatment to inactivate harmful viruses. The bird flu outbreak began in 2022 and has spread among both domestic and feral cats. The FDA also recommends pet owners cook all raw pet food to help eliminate risk. I'm Lisa Carton. U.S. Air Force is resuming teaching its recruits about the Tuskegee Airmen. The Tuskegee Airmen were the 15,000 black pilots and service members of the segregated army who fought in World War II. Force instruction was pulled from basic training curriculum after Trump signed an executive order halting all diversity, equity, and inclusion programs last week. After a review, the Air Force has now announced that the teaching complies with Trump's order. I'm Tammy Trujillo. House Republicans are in Miami this week for the party's annual January retreat. Scott Carr has details. The event gets underway Monday afternoon at Trump National Durral Golf Club and runs through Wednesday. In the evening, President Trump is expected to join Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson for a dinner and reception. Tuesday Johnson and committee chairs will conduct breakout sessions as Republicans look to package the Trump administration's top priorities in a single bill. Before wrapping up Wednesday, the House Majority Leader Steve Scalise is scheduled to host a panel for the committee chairs. I'm Scott Carr in Washington, a new credit karma survey finds that nearly 40% of taxpayers rely on their refund to get by among millennials that number goes up to 50%. More than half say they need the money because everything is getting so expensive. According to the IRS, the average refund in 2024 was just over $3,100. Senator Lindsey Graham doesn't approve of President Trump's decision to pardon those who participated in the January 6th riot. A South Carolina Republican told CNN state of the union he's a firm backer of the president, but he doesn't think is acceptable to pardon chronals who assaulted police officers. I don't like this. I don't like it on either side and I think the public doesn't like it either. Graham insisted the move sets a bad precedent. He said if these types of pardons become the norm, the pardon power of the president may need to be limited. He went on to criticize former president Biden for pardoning his son Hunter and commuting the sentence of Leonard Hellter, who was convicted of killing two FBI agents in 1975. The chiefs are going back to the Super Bowl for a chance at an NFL record, third straight title. Kansas City knocked off the Buffalo Bills 32 to 29 to win the AFC Championship. The chiefs are headed to the Super Bowl for the fifth time in the last six seasons. They'll face the Philadelphia Eagles who they beat 38, 35 in Super Bowl 57 two years ago. I'm Tammy Trujillo.
