Columbia President Gustavo Petro is ordering an increase in import tariffs on goods from the United States following President Trump's tariffs and sanctions. Petro said on X that he ordered an increase on import tariffs from the U.S. by 25%. Trump hit Columbia on Sunday with 25% tariffs on all goods coming into the U.S. along with a travel ban and immediate visa revocations on government officials and all allies and supporters. Columbia rejected two planes carrying migrants with Trump saying the denial has jeopardized the national security and public safety of the United States. The flights were grounded after Petro revoked all diplomatic clearances for the aircraft. Elon Musk is telling Germany to move on from their country's past mistakes. Musk made a surprise speech yesterday to the far right political party known as alternative for Germany. Musk spoke about preserving and embracing German culture while forgetting the country's past. The billionaire took it a step further and said he thinks German people are too guilt ridden over the atrocities that occurred during the Holocaust. Vice President J.D. Vance says lower prices are coming but Americans may have to wait a bit. Tammy Trujillo reports. World number one Yannick Center won his second straight Australian Open Men's Tennis Championship today. He swept number two seed Alexander Zverev in three sets at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. Centers win today was in sharp contrast to last year's final when he rallied from two steps down for a five set victory over Daniel Medvedev. The 23 year old Italian who also won last year's US Open has now won three grand slam titles in the past two years. Tia is recalling over 80,000 of its narrow vehicles for issues with its seat belts and airbags. Federal safety regulators say adjusting the front passenger seat could cause serious safety risks by damaging the wiring, which controls critical features including the airbag and seat belts that could prevent airbags from deploying properly during an accident, deploying unexpectedly or not switching off at all for some small passengers heightening the possibility of injury. The recall includes Nero, Nero EV and Nero plug-in hybrid vehicles made between August 10, 2022 and December 13, 2024 with a manual front passenger seat. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that as of January 10, no crashes, injuries, fatalities or fires have been reported. Spirit Airlines is implementing rules for passengers regarding offensive tattoos or sheer clothing. Spirit updated its contract of carriage saying passengers will not be allowed to board or ask to leave if they have body art that's lewd, obscene or offensive in nature. That also applies to passengers who are inadequately clothed, which is defined as see through clothing, not adequately covered, exposed breasts, buttocks and other private parts. Playboy Magazine is bringing back its print issues after stopping during the pandemic and its first cover model has been announced in a collaborative post on Instagram.
